Can this matter be taken up with the concerned authorities so that small investors are given equal rights in such big IPOs. Companies like Reliance should be fair in disbursing the refund orders, if shares are not alloted to domestic investors. My Rs.96,750 is held back by them without any explanation.

I have applied for 225 rpl ipo (full payment)but till date not received refund as well as share my application no is 35214740Pl do somthing because my payment Rs 96750 is held up.

Well the only thing all small investors can do is pool themselves together in lots of 25 to 50 and file a cheating case against the CMD of Karvy Computershare in Court for cheating. Also a similar case is to be filed against SEBI for dis-regarding the interest of the small investor and sleeping over on the issue which is almost 45 days from the date of completion of allotment of shares or beginning of refunds. If the small investors come together they can pool up their resources which is very difficult if a single investor does on his own.

The following can be undertaken :
Identify other who are facing similar problems and contact them.
Hire the best lawyer for such cases and pool up funds for the case.
More the people in a group the cost of such a case shall come down.
File a case of cheating in court
Send all relevant copies to the Registrar & SEBI
File an RTI application enquiring status on the progress at SEBI against the complaints received at their end.

Firstly please accept my thanks for pursuing the grievances of general investors.

Briefly I want to submit that I applied for 225 shares of reliance IPO and was allotted 16 shares in my icici DP id:[protected] but till date no refund order has been recieved by me so far.

I also want to bring in your kind notice that earlier I was residing in Pune and thereafter I was posted to Chandigarh and at present I am in Germany due to my office assignment. I had opened demat account with Pune Branch when I was in Pune and shifted from Pune to Chandigarh last year and in the month of January 08, I also submitted documents to ICICI banker 35-C, Chd through my parents who are living in # 114, Sec. 38-A, Chandigarh for getting change of address in the demat account as I was interested in applying for the IPOs.

The matter was pursued with the ICICI Bank Sec. 35-C, Chd, but they delayed the case due to one reason or the other and ultimately they changed the address in the mid of Feb.08.

It is pertinent to mention over here that in the meantime Reliance IPO was launched and I submitted application no. 56408949 for 225 shares with cheque no. 590261 dt. 15.1.08 Rs. 25875/- (partly paid payment) and in the application I had given my permanent address as Kothi No. 114, Sec. 38-A, Chandigarh.

Subsequently on allotment, I was alloted 16 shares against my application, but till date, I have not received any refund.

I persued the matter with Karvy agency many times but they are not doing any thing into the matter.

Please help me in getting my refund order of Rs. 18995/-.

I am writing this mail with sheer disappointment from Karvy Stock Broking. The services offered by the Karvy Stock Broking are really disappointing and the response over the telephone is really humiliating. Still I am not loosing hope and once again presenting my case in front of you with a hope you will really take this matter seriously and resolve it.

I have received the allotment of shares in the Dmat a/c and again the bonus shares after that.
But till today I had not received the payment due at the time of allotment.
The local office in Bikaner also didn’t attended my complaint and took the matter very leniently.
When they asked for various document Iprovided them at least four times but all in vain.
I contacted the telephone no. [protected] and [protected] given on the website. The response I got was really humiliating as the persons who were responding to my requests didn’t seemed concerned and after my requests they simply put down the telephone with no response there after. It is my humble request to the concerned authority to please take this matter seriously and do the justice.

Sorry to tell you but don't feel bad to know that company is fraud. It was our wrong decision to invest in India's renowned and 3rd class poor cheap company because now they have no money even to repay amount after using it for 2.5 years without interest.

This is a very shameful to say the worst service of Karvy office at Nadiad, Gujarat. No repsonse from Karvy on the reliance power IPO power refund &/or allotment against the Application Number 82163574 dated 15.01.2008 provided with draft number 008554 dated 15.01.2008 for Rs. 10, 350/-. No allotment. No refund. No response to 1000 calls. Wastage of time, money and adding tension to the genuine investors and customers. Very bad.
To my knowledge, Karvy office at Nadiad shall be closed if it is not able to delivering the services. Refund is not possible almost after 50 days of its allocation time. Very shameful in this fast era of computer. I think we shall do something as early as possible for the common man.

Reliance Power — IPO refund to wrong address

I have not received any intimation on refund and could find the status online only. Karvy had sent the refund to my old address and now they are asking me to track that. Further, there has been very poor response and could not get their toll free line. I have sent around 3 emails and finally got a reply from investor services. Again, they have not given any clarification. Just asking me to submit the indemnity bond to get a new payment cheque. I am really surprised to see why they are sending physical cheques to investor's addresses. Ideally they should have credited directly into the bank account. By issuing physical cheque, it delays receipt of funds and also criminal wastage of paper. Can someone post Anil Ambani's email id in this forum? I think, this is a gross mistake from such a high profile issue. Also, please suggest where such issues can be escalated to bring justice for common investors like us.

I got my phone recharged on 24th Nov 07 for Rs 501 which the shopkeeper got it done in other number without reconfirming my mobile number.I have been in contact with the shopkeeper who says he has lodged a complaint while I fail to get the customer care people till now.I tried to get the balance at that very moment but he said the server is down but be assured you will get the balance in your phone soon.It is nearly amonth and I have returned to UK but I fail to get anything.It is a shame and no one should believe the cheats while customer care does not exist.The number in which the money went is always switched off.Are the Reliance people listening?

Reliance Landlinne Billing Issue — Without Fault Outgoing Calls Barred

I had launched request to Reliance Broadband Wire Line Department for Shifting of Service Location on 30th June and they had shifted it on 11th July (Customer Care Department committed to do it within 72 hrs and Order for the same was generated on 2nd).

After that I have not received bill from Reliance. I complained again to Customer Care Department. They told that you will get the duplicate bill within 42 hrs. Not received the bill again I called to C.C. they told that we have sent might be due to courier problem you will get it tomorrow and if you don’t receive you come back to us.

This is the third time I called C.C., they took another complain for the same problem and assured that duplicate copy of the bill will be delivered to you within next 42 hrs. Again the same problem accrued. On Saturday I received call from local billing department No is[protected] that can I send executive to collect the bill? I told them the problem and they replied that on Monday we will send our executive to collect the bill and he will give you the copy of bill.

No body has come but my outgoing calls have been barred due to non receipt of bill payment from local billing department.

I sent mail to customer care department for the same. But they had not responded. Still now I am waiting for reply from Reliance.

I m a User of reliance, my no. is [protected] in maharashtra, On 18th of aug, i did the top up of rs 85 at around 9-10 p.m, then i did sms i.e MT 525315 to 51234 for downloading the hello tune named "aate jaate". but i got the sms "insufficent bal", i did SMS again and again(five times) i got same response, then i checked my bal., 30rs. was deducted, i called customer care 3 times - they replied me there is system fault on that day, the caller tune will be activated within 48 hours.

i called them on 20th, some lady was there, she first told me that there was nothing charged, but when i had given exact details to her, then she accepted that i did 5 sms and 15 rs. charged and 15 rs. charged for downloading that hello tune, but wht she did i dont know, even she had not given me the complain no., again and again i called at customer care, but still i m getting replies tht "there is system low Call tomorrow" Still i didn't got any information abt it, where my 30 rs. gone...

My new mobile SMART connection taken from a dealer in Howrah about 1 month back with validity of outgoing for the next 2 months and lifetime incoming has recd a message from Reliance saying that both such services are barred, without giving any details ! for amount Rs 230, recharged at reliance store at saket, hyderabad, andrapradesh.
till now no conformation message has not been recived.
Reliance has management has to take care it self to look in to the matter, and solve my problem as soon as possible.

I tried to recharge my phone, bearing no.[protected] with top-up of Rs.195/- on 6.11.2008 at 7.40 p.m. from a shop having internet recharging facility at Tarnaka, Hyderabad. But, I received a message from Reliance to try again as the recharge could not be done due to some technical fault. I contacted the Shop again, but it was informed that the amount has already deducted from his account. I contacted the customer care centre at No.*333, where they confirmed that the Phone has been charged, but the Shopkeeper still denies the same. In that way I lost Rs.195/- till now ie. 10.30 pm of 07.11.2008. This is a cheating by Reliance Communication for which I am facing a loss of Rs.195/-.

I paid Rs.4500_/ by Cheque No.765187 dated 27th November 2008 of Oriental Bank of Commerce (Near Batra Hospital, New Delhi-110 062) for three new telephone connection (Plan 'One India'). The Cheque I paid on the name of RAJNI COMMUNICATION, who is the corporate agent of 'Relience Communication', as I knew. Now, it is 4th day after paying the amount, I did not get any response from the corporate agent or from 'Relience Communication'. The connection has not yet been activated. Please do the needful and also let me know the telephone number of concerned person in this regard in favour of 'Relience Communications'.

Dear Sir, I applied for 225 shares of Reliance Power vide NRI Application No 91883922 alongwith Axis Bank Cheque No: 96,750 which was cleared on 24th Jan 08 from my Account. Kavri Web Site shows I have been alloted 17 shares but is held back due to wrong DP ID which was quoted as 301268 instead of 300239 as Geojit merged 301268 with 300239. My Client ID is 50052382 with Geojit Financial Services Ltd. and I reconfirmed to them my new ID 300239 thru Karvy Web page over 10 days ago. Neither they have given me shares nor have they given me my balance or full refund till today. Everytime I call them, they say, we will respond in two days. Is the Regulator taking any action against such malpractice being followed by Companies like Karvi, who as such got a very bad track record in IPO Scam. If the DP ID is wrong, they should reject the application in full as is what the application states and pay the full money back to rather than holding 96,750 in Rpowe kitty. Your forums assistance in this regard would highly be appreiated. Small inestors are being punished very badly and atleast I will be very careful in investing where Karvy is managing the issues in future.
