I have a motor vehicle insurance, which is issued from Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh.

At the time of renewal - the agent reduce the premium and saying a discount of no claim bonus is given, But now when I had an accident so I raised a claim -- I got to know he has put that in Voluntary Excess, Which means the insurance is worth less for amount of Rs. 15, 000.

This is big cheating done.

Now I got to know why everyone reliance Insurance is worst.
I spend Rs. 21, 000 and got Rs. 1290 as refund.

Reliance Insurance is cheating people.

I have a MEDICLAIM policy from Reliance General.My wife had an ovarian cyst, which needed surgery during the second year. As per the exclusions, cysts are not covered during the first year. That is OK. But Reliance confirmed cysts are not admissible for claim during the second year! In fact they are permanently excluded: no matter whether they occur during the first year or the second or the third or hundredth!

My advice to my fellow countrymen: If you have money to burn, there are better ways of wasting money than buying Reliance General Insurance. This company has a perfect partner for a TPA: M/s Mediassist. Both excel each other in deception and immorality. Even after receiving my mail 10 days ago and acknowledging the receipt, they have not bothered to inform me whether the disease is admissible or not, despite umpteen reminders.

This TPA and Reliance General are in complicity and are partners in crime - crime against the trusting and sick customers.

Still some people fall prey to their sales pitch and low premia. I don't know how good other insurers are. I have strong doubts about the reliability of Mediclaim in a country like India with high degree of institutional immorality and regulatory incompetence and venality, But Reliance General is certainly the company which no right-thinking person should touch even with a barge pole.
I totally agree with Mr. Chitra. Actually I myself is also victim of Reliance Health Policy. Almost 8 months have passed but they are still sleeping on my Reimbursement Papers. Jagoo Reliance Health Policy People Jaago... aur Jaag kar kush kaam karo.

      is very sad that i have opted and/or taken a health policy for my family online on 18/12/2008 and paid an amount of Rs2222/- by using my citibank credit card, and said amount is deducted/withdrawn from my aforesaid credit card on same day but it is very unfortunate that inpite of passing of 50 days till date i did nt receive my policy paper or kits from the company which shows how much the company is aware, efficient, and responsible towards its customer.
      further since the policy was purchaser on line adminstered by ur costumer care/agent over phone so i dont know the policy no but particulars of policy holders are as follows:-

      Reliance generel insurance — non receive of insurance papers

      dear sir my self madhu sharma address is g-4/162, sector-16. rohini, delhi-110085 and the matter is that i didnot recieve the the policy right now which was issued on the 26122008 on 07:15 pm .       I have taken a mediclaim insurance policy no.[protected] in Feb. 2008 which is valid till Feb. 2010. Unfortunately I have not received the policy paper till date. I lodged this complaint many times, still the policy paper are awaited. Even after many assurances from your office I have not received either soft copy or hard copy. My complaint details are as follows:

Whereas I am in extreme need of the policy for my treatment. Advise me what I should do because if I don’t get it today I’ll be deprived of my rights of claim benefits.

        Hi,
        On 8.12.2008 I have purchased a reliance health wise policy using my credit card.But till now I have not received the policy kit though I had received a mail on that day that my policy kit no is[protected] and that it will be sent to me within 10 working days. On 14.1.2009 I have complained over telephone (complain no 127321) to their customer service cell regarding this matter. But till now though I had contacted them over phone more than 50 times they are not sending the policy documents. I have also send the emails to there care.[protected]@relianceadg.com address number of times but they have not responsed to me. I am really helpless now please suggest me the solution.

          Reliance denied my commissions which was committed by CSO n SM. Neeraj Bhardwaj said We will release it by March2008. But till date I haven't recived my pending commissions. and now nobody is there to listen me...

              I had taken a policy cover note for my vehicle DL2CAG8187 in the month April 2008.

              The same was put to claim in the month of september as the car met with an accident, For the claim Survey, I was approached by your paneled surveyor Mr. Rajat Mahajan, who was briefed about the accident & upon survey in the premises of MSSD, Naraina, he approached me about the details of the claim.

              Mr..Rajat Mahajan offered to settle the full claim on commission of 15% in cash, which I refused to pay as it was a genuine claim, on which he refurbeted & refused to pass the whole of the claim, leaving out the main damaged part.As per the claim report the same has happened with the A.c condenser 7 gas being left out, which I paid from my pocket.

              On this reaction of his, I complained to his senior Mr.Anil, who was glove in hand with him & refused to entertain my request & said pls speak with Rajat & Settle it with him else accept whatever we approve.


              This is only to highlight the grievances'/sufferings of Reliance General Insurance customers, with no hard hearing for the same.

              If this is the working style of such a big corporate & reputed organization, what would be the word of mouth for such organization????

              Our co. goods were insuraed with yr co. under Certificate No:GUR/BIOMED/0043/07 DT: 28/12/07 and Policy No:[protected] Dt: 15.05.2007. vide Cover Note No: 119147 Dt: 22/12/2007..
              This was export shipment to TURKEY which got demuged during transit, our buyer has loged complaint with yr Turkey office but from last 01 year they are not getting any positive respond .Reference No: of this case is: 65/07/63794.

              WK WEBSTER has already passed their report to yr Indian office, but from last 8 months Buyer (at Turkey ) is not getting any respond from yr co.

              I would request you pls. help us to sort out this issue at earliest as possible.

                I have under gone surgery for removal of stone in kidney.

                I spent around Rs. 1.50 Lakhs.

                I was covered by Reliance General Insurance vide master policy number 12/28/12/00044/05 and Certificate No. AH3/VB[protected]. Please help me to lodge my claim.

                Really I am pained not due to surgery but for the troubles
                I am facing to lodge my complaint.

                How can we trust private insurance companies?

                Whether Public enterprises also do the same?

                If so what is the use for the insurance policies?

                I do not know English and I am almost an illeterate.

                Some one sold the policy to me. Now I am requesting
                every body to help me to get my claim.

                    Dear Sir,

                    I wish to state that I had purchased a Indica DLG Turbo car registration No. UP 16P 5037 on 2nd March, 2007 and had it insured with M/s Reliance General Insurance Company. I was issued the Cover Note No. 1551122 dated 02/03/2007 by the Agency with code No. 292201. I had also paid a sum of Rs. 15834.00 (Fifteen Thousand Eight Hundred Thirty four Only) as premium for the insurance to the agent of the agency in cash. Unfortunately, my car met with an accident before I could receive the insurance policy. The repairs of the car was carried out at M/s Sreenath Motors, Gaziabad, an authorized dealer for Tata Motors. Subsequently, a claim was sent to the Claim Office of M/s Reliance General Insurance Company, Nehru Place, Delhi on 1st June, 2007. The claim no. is[protected] for Rs. 12180.00 (Twelve Thousand One Hundred Eighty Only). While I was being assured of processing the claim, the claim was not processed on one pretext or other despite my numerous phone calls and number of personal visits to their claim office at Nehru Place and meetings with the officials. To my utter surprise, I was informed that my claim can not be processed as the premium against Cover Note No. 1551122 issued to me has not been deposited by the concerned agent. I was asked to contact the Branch Office for further action.

                    The whole incident reflects very poorly on M/s Reliance General Insurance Company as it took more than seven months to inform me that my claim can not be processed because agent failed to deposit the premium. This also tantamount to cheating the customer as there has to be connivance of the company employees in this fraud being perpatrated by the company on the customers.I also wonder, why it took more than seven months for Claim Department to find out that the premium has not been deposited against the cover note issued by the agent and why suitable action was not initiated by the company against the agency and the agent when the facts became known. Expectedly my letter to the Branch office with copy to Head office and Claim office illicited no responsince January, 2008. My repeated attempts to contact the Branch ofice in Okhla have failed.

                    I am totally fed up with Reliance General Insurance i.e their office at plot no 60, Okhla Ph-3, New Delhi.As despite of numerous phone calls and visits reliance officials i.e Mr Javed Ahmed, Mr Pankaj Gupta, Mr Sumit, all of them are making fools of their clients.They are not responding to the person who is sitting at their reception.I trying to get some information about my claim but all of the three above mentioned persons are keep on stretching the said matter on the ground reason that they are waiting for the download of data through Internet for more than 8 working days.What's that man are they thinking themselves as Big Boss of Relaince or they are thinking themselves as Mr Anil Ambani.Any way My point is that these kind o[censored]nprofessional people are fadding the image of Relaince and as per my understanding the management should take necessary action towards them.

                    Reliance General Insurance — Non receipt of claim for last 60 days

                    Sir
                    I had met with a car accident on 20 Dec 09 where my car was damaged but no injuries were received by my family. I had insurance from Reliance General insurance and my policy no is [protected] and my claim no is [protected]. I was made to believe that the claim will take one week to process after it has been received by their HQ. The status of the report as on date is showing is under process. The reps at companies toll free number do not divulge anythinfg further. The telephone no of claim department given by Mr Anil Chandani senior executive at toll free no is un responsive.
                    May I request you to kindly intervene

                    Reliance General Insurance — non receipt of claim amount

                    I brought a reliance general insurance policy last year on oct 14 for my hyundai santro car bearing cover note no[protected] .At the time of taking the policy they told me there will be cash less facility.I registered a claim on 1st july 2010 at with the claim no [protected], and to my surprise the surveyor told me that cash less facility will be provided only if the claim amount exceeds 20000. however the total billed amount was 16000 + relaince told me that 8300 amount is passed and will be sent to you through a draft. till now I have not recieved even a letter from the reliance let alone the draft.

                    I am continuously writing mails to relaince general insurance even they gave me an service request no 01346370 but the request is still pending. if I try to check the statuis of my claim on the website it says claim 100% completed. kindly intervene and resolve the issue.

                    My Vehicle Maruti 800 Ex Model 2001 holder name Hemlata Sharma got damaged i.e accident on 1st Nov 2010 in Basantpur 45 km alway from Shimla, and Mr Arora Asociates was deputed . I had submitted all the documents as desired also the consent. The vehicle insured value was 40000 and as per Arora Associates only 25000 Rs consent on 100 Rs stamp pad i had send in November itself.
                    Kindly look into the matter and hope the matter will be resolved soon.
                    Relaince company is known for its very excellent customer service and i hope the same will be the case with me.

                      I Shaikh Salim would like to cancel my Medical insurance Policy whose Certificate No is [protected] and the Master Policy No is 1304MST08 which stand in the name of myself Shaikh Salim and Farzana S Shaikh of Rs 9750 and my request no of the Call Centre is 438551, i am doing so bcoz the things which were told to me at the time of buying the policy is not the same when i received the premium policy, so please do the needful in cancelling my Policy as i have given all the details required to you and reimbursed the money which i have paid to you as soon as possible.I have written you mail twice but yet not received any mails from you regarding the cancellation of policy and the reimbursement of money for the same, I have been talking regurlary to the Custome care of your company but of no use, they are only giving assurance that it will be refunded, but it has been over six months now, and i think some legal actions should be taken against your company, i am writing this mail so that it can be sorted out please reply via email to sort out the issue i will be awaiting for your reply for the next seven days after that i will strictly take some legal action on your company for the same.

                        Dear Sir / Madam,
                        I am writing on behalf of my company mentioned below, this is in context to our general insurance policy no. [protected]. Area office and code is 1903 from Reliance general insurance dated 21.02.07. The coverage is as under
                        Building : Rs 35, 00, 000.00 (Thirty five lacs)
                        Stock : Rs 35, 00, 000.00 (Thirty five lacs)
                        Plant & Machinery Various : Rs 80, 00, 000.00 (Eighty lacs)
                        The total claim filed is Rs. Rs 3539319.00


                        Sir / Madam, there was a fire accident in our factory on 06/04/07 midnight, and the claim is still to be reimbursed after several meetings and discussions.

                        It has been a very long period of 1 year and 7 months since we are expecting this claim to be settled.

                        Since the time of this mis-happening there had been innumerable meeting and discussions made with the appointed charted accountant and surveyor of Insurance Company at Agra, besides twice we had been to Lucknow ( regional office of Insurance Company) for similar discussions where we have shown original copy of documents as well.

                        The last communication we have received from Insurance Company’s Lucknow office was in the month of April 2008 asking for documents which were already submitted, in reply we have sent them all the acknowledgments we have of submitting these documents, after that there is no communication. In the month of June 08 we have again sent a letter from our lawyer side, against which there was no reply either.


                        So far we have no intimation about the status of the claim, whether it will be paid or not and also there is no reply in terms of what amount will be payable against this claim.
                        Insurance company is intentionally lingering the case to avoid payment of claim, they are asking for already submitted documents again and again just to delay to process, and we have acknowledgements of submission of these documents duly signed by the appointed surveyor. All the required documents were submitted as and when demanded.

                        Since the time of this incident we are going through a worst phase of life, we are extremely short of capital because of which we are loosing business every month.


                        Seeking Valued help and co-operation.
                        Please help us in this regard.

There Mr. Yogendra kumar (cso) tells me that yoir e-code will first come wiyh in 2 or 3 days he gave me the code in 10 days the code is 559215 which is not working properly in "www.agentcom.in" so i am very confused & he is not giving my policies at given time...

                          My parents have a reliance general insurance mediclaim policy no [protected], cert no. [protected], MA ID no [protected]. My father Sh S R Sharma has to undergo catract operation. I have contacted mirchia hospital Chandigarh for cash less operation. Doctor faxed on dated 13/11/08 to medi assist India pvt ltd, but there is no response till date. During this period I have complained to rel gen ins comp no 366499 dated 15/11/08 and tried to contact medi assist office hundereds of time but they don’t pick the fone. Where as company says to tackle claims within 24 hrs. I am very much fed up with this policy and I suggest all to don’t get this policy in future.
                          Please help me to sort out this.

I have admitted my son Parth Negi who is just 13 month old in Jaipur Golden Hospital, Delhi in emergency condition on[protected] . Parth was suffering from Diaorrhoea & infection. On[protected] the hospital has forwarded the request for the approval for the cashless hospitalisation. Your organisation has required some further information which was duly forwarded to your organisation in due time, in spite of the information required by your organisation was not forwarded to the hospital in letter form and the same was forwarded to the hospital after my repeated request to your customer care numbers. I was very much surprised that inspit of repeated request to your office by me and by the hospital your office has not given approval for the cashless hospitalisation.

                          On[protected] my son was discharged by the hospital at 1.29 PM but your organisation has not sent the approval required by the hospital. Again I have requested to your office for the approval but the person on the phone has not given any attention to my request and the person on the phone has disconnected the phone 2-3times, I have all the details of the call made to your office with me in my mobile bills. The hospital has sent all the bill and discharge details of my son to your office and requested for the early action at your end as me and my 13 month old son was waiting for the necessary approval from your office as my son has already discharged from the hospital. But your office has deliberately passing the time and asked for the unnecessary details of medicine used. On[protected] the hospital has informed me that your office has rejected the cashless claim without specifying the reason for the same. Sir I was very much shocked to see such a irresponsible behaviour from your organisation and the same is completely against the term offered to us. It was really a terrible experience when I waited with my ill son for 6-8 hours for the approval from your office after my son’s discharge from the hospital.

                          You are requested to kindlt look into the matter and make the claim as cashless the hospital is ready to refund my payment in cash is they received the approval from the Medi Assist India Pvt. Ltd.

                          Dear Sir/Madam, I am a regular customer of Reliance General Insurance as my two Ford Fiesta cars are insured with u from the date of purchase.
                          On 26/04/09 my car UA06E/8283 met an accident and had some major damages. I sent my car for repair to Pacific Ford, Bareilly on 30/04/09 but i m sorry to inform tht inspite of being full insured all the damages has not been taken care by your surveyer Mr. Ravindar.
                          Moreover when I had telephonic conversation with Mr. Ravindar regarding the matter he was very rude and irrational with me.
                          Kindly notice, this is highly unproffesional from your side and for good relationship in the future plz look into this matter.

                              Documents are submitted by me (F.I.R & also Final report ), but still I have not got the cheque.



                              When I Have contacted your customer care deptt. I got to know that the case is closed. As car is sold to Saurabh Virmani. (Remarks)



                              Can’t you people see the F.I.R, and also the Third party investigation (Royal Associate- Kurukshetra) report?

                              Generally two tye of motor policies are offierred by all the general insurance compnaies
                              1. Package Policies i.e. Full Cover
                              2. Liability Policies i.e. T.P. only or Act Policies

                              In many cases the Insured is not interested in Full Cover but want to cover the risk of
                              Theft along with Liability Policies....

                              Though this type of facility is available and Tariff and IRDA also permits,
                              the insured is depreived of this facility ..

                              What Insured can do if he want this type of policy.....

                                I would have never bothered if I had not gone for renewal ( this is precisely happening in most of the cases, most policy holders are not renewing the policies, or switching to a differenet company, or agency, thanks to poor laws and COMPLETE CHAOS in such mismanaged (mis regulated insurance business)

                                what if i need emergency medical, what if i had short of cash. its been a case of complete cheating and fraud.

                                I don't know how many such cases would be having the same policy number in 10-15 different cities. where all service tax gone, how much money was collected by selling such policies and how many has actually went to the books of accounts.

                                what if i had not gone for renewal or say, I would have switch to a different Insurance company.

                                such cases of TAX and Income Evasion. would have never reported to any one.

                                Moreover, I send for my claim to their local representative, (it was a case of Dental treatment of my daughter who met with a road accident, it was a marginal amount of Rs. 1800/-. their local representative turned it down, stating it was Dental surgery and not covered, they even lost my papers. I don't have any receiving so i can not make any claim and i don't bother about either.

                                THERE MGHT BE HELL NO. OF CASES, WHERE INSURANCE COMPANIES ARE CHEATING TO THEIR CLIENTS, SPECIALLY IN NON LIFE BUSINESS WHERE THE POLICY EXPIRES AFTER 365 DAYS.

                                The same thing happen with AIG in US, most indian companies (non life insurance companies) are following those foot prints.

                                Kindly report if any fraud of such nature you find anywhere.

                                  I have got policy done for my car through reliance general insurance on[protected] cover note no.[protected], till date policy bond is not received.When I spoke with Noida agency of Reliance General insurance they gave me reply that my policy is complete and they have already completed all the formalities, the concerned person was Rajesh Khatri, he misbehaved with me.

I have been requested many time to LIC Barh in writing and after appearing before officer.During my visit in LIC Barh Branch, the Branch Manager was replied that concerned Bond Form for Table No. 50 not available in branch and subject Bond will be provided on receipt from Main Branch but till date no action so far. Beseds, I have paid every premium continuously since 2003 to till date. Please look into the matter personally and direct concerned to send the my policy bond papers to my address.

                                    I would like to draw your kind attention to the grievence related to my motor vehicle policy taken from M/s Reliance General Insurance, Policy No. [protected] dtd[protected].

                                    I have taken private car package policy ( comprehensive motor vehicle insurence ) for my vehicle Chevrolet Aveo ( KL 16 D 3344) for a period commencing from[protected] to[protected] from M/s Reliance General Insurance company. Unfortunately, my vehicle had met with an accident on[protected], and consequently, I have approached M/s Reliance General Insurance company, Kollam for accident claim ( Claim No.[protected] )for my vehicle. But, disappointingly, the officials of Kollam Office had rejected the claim, by saying that 'no claim bonus' had been claimed by me while taking the policy.

                                    But the accident claim in the previous year was intimated to the agent of M/s Reliance General Insurence company, while processing the policy. At the time of claim, when I verified the documents, to my surprise, it was found that the documents submitted by me were manipulated and even the signature in the 'proposal cum cover note' was found forged by the agent of the firm.

                                    When, I approached M/s Reliance General Insurance company, Kollam to settle my claim, the officials of the firm behaved arrogantly and insultingly and rejected my claim . I have remitted Rs. 14807/- to the insurance company for obtaining the comprehensive insurance policy for my vehicle on[protected]. The irritant officials of the company at Kollam office says that only third party insurance is elgible for this policy, stating that I have claimed NCB. In fact, I had informed the agent regarding the earlier claim for the vehicle while taking the policy, but, intentionally, it seems, the agent had not incorporated it in the policy, which causes great loss to me. Further more, no intimation had been received from the Insurance company regarding the NCB.
                                    Such a cheating from the agents of such a reputed firm is never expected and was a real shock to a customer like me. If such cheatings are not restricted, the company's ruputation will be in real threat.
                                    Hence I humbly request your good self to be kind enough to look in to the matter, and take necessary action to release the claim amount or refund the extra premium amount ( after deducting the third party premium) at the earliest.

                                      This is to inform you that I have submitted my claim for reimbursement of my pre and post hospitalisation expenses to M/s. E-Meditek, Gurgaon on May 15, 2009.

                                      On July 14, 2009, I have recieved a letter dated July 07, 2009, from E-Meditek informing me that I have been sent 2 letters asking for papers to be submitted for claim settlement. But, unfortunately these 2 letters were not recieved by me or any of my family members.

                                      However, I have replied this letter immediately on July 15, 2009, by submitting necessary documents as required in their letter dated July 07, 2009.

                                      Today, on enquiring through telephone in their office regarding the status of my claim, one of their office bearers has confirmed the receipt of my claim papers on July 18, 2009. But, she further informed me that my claim papers were rejected and the file has been closed due to delay in reply from my end.

                                      Hence, I request you to kindly re-open my claim file and settle the same as soon as possible.

                                      i am pradeep kumar i was getting so many calls on the behalf of my abn amro credit card for reliance mediclam gold plan i took the plan and made the payment through the my citi bank credit card and the premium was 7162.00 for two years. i was told that i will receive the documents within 10 days .

                                      Reliance General Insurance — mediclaim due from reliance general insurance

                                      I have a Reliance General Insurance Health wise policy no [protected].
                                      I am holding this policy for the past three years, without any laps.
                                      Last year on 11th of November 2009, I had undergone through Piles operation at Mediview Nursing Home (P) Ltd, Kolkata.
                                      I had faxed all the required documents along with the policy details to TPA (Medi Assist India TPA Pvt Ltd), for cashless claim on 11th November 2009, however even after repeated reminder the company failed to respond, and I had to get myself discharged by paying full cash on 17th of November 2009.
                                      On 17th November 2009, I had called up TPA and informed them that i have paid and settled the hospital bills in full and have collected all the original bills, documents and reports and would be submitting them for reimbursement. Even at this point in time they failed to answer why I could not get cashless claim.

                                      On 25th of November 2009, I submitted the following documents/information with the claim form to Reliance General Insurance, Kolkata branch, duly received by Mr Rohit Deep (cell manager).
                                      a) First prescription of doctor with commencement date
                                      of the symptom of disease
                                      b) Treatment papers along with doctors prescriptions
                                      Investigation reports
                                      d) Original medical bills and receipt of hospital, doctors bill supported by Doctor’s advice.
                                      e) Hospital discharge card, in original

                                      Till now I am awaiting for the response, on repeated calls to the cell manager as well as to the call center of TPA, I am not getting any proper response, and they are just saying that the claim is under process. I fail to understand this as this has been a response for almost Three Months .

                                        I was admitted at MGM Hospital, Vashi, Navi Mumbai for the surgery for the acute appendicities on acute pain at right abdomen.Reliance general insuranse(their TPA) rejected my request for cashless treatment on the basis of that the appendix is not seen in the sonography.Doctors are still argueing that it is not necessary appendix shoud always seen on sonography but clinically and on blood report it can be identified.However I have done this surgery and again approched them through the hospital but again they have rejected it.After all these issues, in the last july the time has come for the renewal and they have collected my cheque for the same and later informed that they will not renew my policy and giving no reason.It was a family policy for my entire family and due to the cancellation they also denied the benefit on a continuous policy.I have submitted all the reports & histopathology report after the surgery and their under writer at govandi office Mr.Sandip kumar agreed and made the remark that it can be renewed but still their higher authorities not ready.My cheque and all papers are still lying with them.
