Hi,
I purchased a Renault Duster (85 PS, Explore Edition) from Crystal Automobiles, Ghaziabad in March 2016. Right from the day of purchase, I am not satisfied with the service level of the dealer who operates the workshop as well.
Ignoring the issues faced after purchase, I would like to currently share the ordeal I have gone through upon getting the car repaired after a minor accident. The repair required was replacement of the rear door and right side tail light.
Firstly, the car was delivered in 16 days for carrying out a job which needs to be completed in 2-3 days. That too, after a rigorous follow up and waiting for 3 days to get the car returned after the work was completed.
The chronological history of harassment is as follows:
4th Jan: The car is handed over to the workshop and it is committed by the Service Advisor cum Body Shop Manager that the car will be handed over repairs by 9th Jan.
6th Jan: After the completion of 48 hours and non-receipt of any update on the insurance surveyor’s visit/outcome, a follow up was made to Service Advisor cum Body Shop Manager and it was informed that the survey has been done and the surveyor has approved the replacement of the rear door and right side tail light. Upon asking for the availability of the spare parts required, it was informed that all the parts required are readily available and repairs will be carried out on time.
8th Jan: Again after non-receipt of any update from the workshop / insurance agency, a follow up was made to GM Service, and it was informed that the approval has come and repairs are underway.
10th Jan: After the completion of committed delivery date, a follow up was again made to both body shop manager as well as GM Service and it was told that the workshop is being transferred to a new location and hence there is a delay and the car will be delivered by 12th Jan. This created a panic for us and upon visiting the new location where the car was being repaired, it came to notice that instead of replacing the rear door, it was being repaired by carrying out the denting and painting. I need an explanation for this lie that if the part was being repaired, why it was being projected that it is being replaced. This raises a question on the integrity of the officials and the unethical approach of the workshop management.
11th to 16th Jan: The issue was informed to GM Service as well as the CEO and daily follow ups were made twice daily with all the concerned officials but none of them was able to commit the actual date of delivery.
17th Jan: As a result of our rigorous follow up and several visits, an update was received that the car is ready after repair but the insurance agency’s post repair visit is pending.
19th Jan: After waiting for 2 complete days, and receiving numerous false commitments to get an update for delivery, I decided to visit the workshop at the new location and upon reaching there, it was known that the insurance agency has not conducted the post repair visit yet. After waiting for approx. 3 hours, an estimate was informally received from the insurance provider and finally the car was ready for delivery. As an icing on the cake of my harassment procedure, the card swiping machine was not working and I had to pay in cash (in this era of cashless transactions especially after demonetization) and got the car back after 16 days.
My complaint is as under:
1. Why did the workshop accept the car when they themselves were under relocation?
2. Why did I not receive regular updates after handing over the car?
3. Why did the workshop officials told a lie that the parts will be replaced whereas they were getting them repaired? What was the intention for such behavior?
4. Even after complaining the issue to the highest level at M/s Crystal Automobiles, the service level was not improved. Do they think that they are enjoying the monopoly for selling the Renault cars in Ghaziabad region and no one can ever complain against the services rendered by them?
5. The car is less than a year old and the insurance was provided by M/s Crystal Automobiles only. Why do they sell insurance of such companies (Reliance in this case) which do not provide services to their customers?
6. Even after repeated reminders to also replace the front and rear wipers along with the current repair, it was not done due to want of the spare parts. Why does the Renault company provide enough spare parts and especially the regular and critical consumables such as wipers which are needed to drive the car?

    Renault: A Dishonest and Unethical Car Company with no transparent and ethical practices.
    I purchased my Renault Scala in the Year 2015. In the last two years, I have taken the vehicle thrice for the supposed free service. The vehicle has run only 2500 kms till date. But their service advisors have extorted charges for wheel alignment and oil change twice. Further second time they even levied somewhat a farcical head under the invoice 'Paid Free Service'.
    This is only a caution notice for all car buyers about reconsidering their decision for Renault. The advisors in the workshop are concerned only about selling unwanted accessories like FOOT MATS. They did not bother to repair the radio receiver even after giving clear instructions.
    They don't have a responsive and responsible Customer Service/Grievance Redressal mechanism. They don't even display the details of contact persons in their workshop, in case of any grievances. The hallmark of their so called customer service team is 'ARROGANCE' and 'HIGH HANDEDNESS'.

      Hi,

      I purchased Kwid RXT model in Nov 2015, from the day i purchased the engine sound is more, immediately i complained to the service center.And i was informed that it is normal no need to worry, then after 2000 km i got severe problem in clutch and gear. when i left my vehicle in service centre for first service, i raised all the issues (Clutch, gear and brake problem). They said we will rectify. When i took out of the vehicle after first service and after drove it for approx. 500 km again the same problem occurs.Then second i raised complaint on the same issue. Again rectified and again i got the same issue during the second service and again and again having the same problem. still not rectified. Now my vehicle is in the show room for the same issue and for third service. this time i told them clearly i want replacement of my vehicle or i will go for upgrading the vehicle by paying the difference amount from 800cc to 1000cc. Initially renault agreed for upgrading the vehicle by paying the price difference (i have proof for this). but now they are insiting me to take the same useless vehicle.

      Note: So far i complained for five times, out of five i asked for replacement since from third complaint, and got convinced by the showroom service people for four times, this my fifth complaint this time i cant take the vehicle out of the show room unless i got a guarantee letter from renault that if anything or same issue repeats in the next 2000km the we will replace the vehicle or we agree to provide 1000cc vehicle by paying the price difference from 800cc to 1000cc

      If i dint get the solution for the above i will post in all social media and strongly recommend everybody to quit Kwid.

      Anyhow i wasted my 4.5 lacs in buying the worst vehicle. Let me waste some money in de promoting the vehicle

        I am owner of Duster (RJ20 CC 9872). I have miraculously escaped from a major accident, as the stepney tyre came out at a small jerk at a speed breaker. Thankfully, I was not on a highway but on city rode. I could just imagine how horrific it could have been on highway. How can you play with human lives with such a faulty design? I got to know that the same has happened to some more. Who is going to take responsibility of it?

          I have gone for routine service of my car renault fluence e-4, mh02-cl-6284 at jogeshwari (East, mumbai service center on 4th january 2017 and i have received my serviced car on 5th january 2017. I have already placed ordered to change the right side mirror cap (White) for which i have paid them and mr. Mandar (Srvice center manager) assured me to replace it within 2-3 days but there is no response from him. Finally i have called up to mr. Mandar on 20th january 2017 and he spoke to me the cap is ready and come tomorrow i. E. 21st january 2017, to fix it, accordingly i have gone to the service center on 23rd january 2017 at around 3:00 pm but he started playing some mischief and he said that the parts is coming, and i waited till 6:30 pm but the work not done. Finally he said go home i will send the man to your home tomorrow morning by 11 o'clock.
          Today i have waited till 12:15 pm but there is no response. Finally i have called up him and he told me that the man is already left but his man could not reach till writing this complain i. E. 3:22 pm. I have made many calls to him but he is not responding. I have sent several sms but no response. I have told him through sms that i can not bribe you for which i have already paid. But he did not replied.
          Please give me a solution if you are able.

            Dear sir my name is Mansoor Alam I buy Renault kwid last year my car no Up 20 au 0353 full insured by new india .my problem is that my car's chamber was damaged don't know how when I face this problem suddenly I contact Renault showroom and told him every thing he didn't solve my prblm he told that this problem is not in insurance I want to know is that true if yes then what can i do please sort out my problem ..

                I drove 5.5 K kms so far in 8 months time, without any complaints, but on a usual road suddenly i had to bypass a small stone which passed through the front bumper but have hit the Oil storage, because of it the car stopped immediately and never able to start.                   I own renault duster explore version purchased one year back.since the date I have purchased it i am facing different type of problems, like non working a.c, leakage of coolant, defective clutch plates, defective electric circuit in the engine so on.                     There are 2 problems to quote.

                    1) I have purchased the vehicle from SRI SRI SRI Renault (Bhoiguda, Secunderabad) in the first week of November. Since second week onwards, I observed noise when I apply break and I have told the same to the company and they told this is common problem in KWID vehicles. Not a customer friendly franchise. Their RTA agent has taken extra Rs.650 for vehicle registration and when we complained to SRI SRI SRI, they told we will get the money returned. It has been more than a month and no one is taking the responsibility to revert the money.

                    2) Again after 3 weeks from purchase (around 30-Nov-2016) I felt the noise is increased and went to the Service center in AS Rao Nagar (ECIL), they told again its common in KWID vehicles and we will fix it in the first servicing. I have given my new Kwid vehicle on 30-Dec-2016 for the first servicing mentioning the noise problem which is not good.

                    They have returned the vehicle mentioning that they have fixed the problem. But in reality the break noise has not come down and still exists. I called up the service manager (Mahesh) on 3-Jan-2017 and explained that you have not fixed the problem. He accepted the faulty service and told one of the drivers will pick up the vehicle and we will rectify the trouble this time. But no one has called me or approached me. This is the worst experience I had with Renault and kind of false promises to the customer.

                    3) I called up today (12-Jan-2017) customer care and given a complaint on the above. To my surprise they don't know about this service center.

                    Dear Renault Management,

                    Hope you are listening. My vehicle has been taken by your authorized service center more than 6 times to just verify the break speaking noise. They failed to fix the issue and last week they told this noise is common is other vehicles also. Request you to pitch in and take the vehicle back and pay my money back.

                    Since from Day 3 of the purchase from SRI SRI SRI Renault, Bhoiguda, Secunderabad, I am facing this problem and its shame on Renualt that you could not fix the problem for a new car even after taken the vehicle more than 6 times by the service center.

                      My car was given for first service on 9th JAN-2017 and was assured of delivery next day by 11 saying a reason that workers are not available but on 10th JAN-2017 I was expecting the car delivery but no one from work shop responded and I have tried to reach out to them on phone call and got no proper response on the day and again on 11th JAN-2017 on mid of the day I called them and demanded the car status and they then revealed that car was damaged during car wash on 10th JAN-2017 which was not intimated to me on spot.

                      I have No trust on the work shop for the reason they gave me for the the damage caused it appears to be an on road damage.As I have zero trust on Renault work shop hitech city I am not willing to take delivery of that car.

                      Car given for first service was damaged and not intimated to the customer, No proper response was given and the reason or explanation given for the damage doesn't appear to be a genuine.Show room people are trying to bluff and convince me.When I visited the service center the damage doesn't appear to be minor one seems to be a kind of road accident.

                      Not only Hi-Tech City, even I had a worst experience with AS Rao nagar service center.

                      Renault dealers are only good in collecting money on time.
                      Its a total mess. You guys are not giving any attention for that .its a major part and its sounds like horrible please make a space between the brake pads so that the dust can easily go out do the needful immediately ..

                        Battery drainage/discharge problem in KWID 1.0 RXT

                        On 11/10/2016, I purchased a motor vehicle KWID 1.0 RXT. Unfortunately, the vehicle has not been satisfactory as it showed system error/ operational fault error not a month after the purchase. We were asked to get it repaired from Verna Service Center. We did as directed. However, on 09/01/2017, the display was showing low battery. We launched a complain against this in renault, they sent technician to test who said ALTERNATOR BREAKDOWN/not...

                        Greetings
                        I had sent a complain earlier too regarding my Duster. Its about 2 years i've purchased this car. I am fed up facing problems. As requested earlier, i again request company to exchange my Car & give another 1. Since day 1, i am facing different problems like Jerks, GPS & music system failure, battery getting discharged 4/5 times...etc.

                        Many a times, car battery gets in night & car doesnt respond in morning. Company Technicians attended this problem earlier thrice & didn't change me the battery even after so many requests. I got it checked last month too from Mr. Rahul (Baroda Representative) as i had to leave for vapi next day. After he resolved the problem, i took it to vapi but there again problem started & we had to literally suffer.

                        Now, Showroom ppl are suggesting to get battery changed when it's warranty is just over (@ my expense.)

                        Seriously Pathetic.

                        Pls Resolve at the earliest or else this is last time.
                        I'll be forced to take Legal Steps now.

                          With due respect i submitting my words for your kind consideration and favorable action..
                          I baught a Renault kwid car 1.12.2015 and facing lot of problems with this car. Recently two time my car need to road side assistance for technical problem and now my car again breakdown with battery charging problem.
                          Now Renault bheem moters gorakhpur authorised dealer told me u will have to yourself solve battery problem as my car is in warrenty...

                          I m too much fed up and i think i have need court for all clearance if didt take any action.

                            Bought kwid rxt(O) 4 months back. Have driven Only 3000+ km till now. Initially people said new engine will take time to give good mileage. But after this long i gone still an getting very bad milage of 14km without ac even in 2 occupancy. Which is very bad, company committed for around 23km milage where at least i should get 20km milage but am getting only 14km.
                            Glow box is really a big head ache it's not getting locked properly. Many times told to showroom and service center(Unnati vehicals nashik) showroom peoples are really duffer. they are not responding positivly or not given commitment to resolve the issues. Being always open. Very irritating when ever i enter the car. Engine noise is more.
                            I request to all peoples don't purchase kwid vehicles, exceting new AMT Kwid. i am very much confident this AMT vehicle is faulty. because showrooms peoples are not responding.
                            You renault peoples launch the faulty vehicle and cheat with customers.

                            I hate the Renault products specialy Kwid

                              Good Afternoon Sir/Madam,

                              Myself Douglas Anthony Simpson, having the vehicle renault kwid ( CG-04-LM1569)
                              My car met with an accident on 21/12/2016 at 10:00 pm, as there was road construction and a huge rock hit the chamber and there was a leakage of engine oil. And soon i hit the rock i stopped the vehicle and observed the leakage and i called up the road side assistance team they said that it was too late to reach out so they told me to park it in a safe place and took down my complaint saying that no need to pay any thing as it is under warranty (complaint No. 87827). for which i pushed the vehicle along with my colleague to a safe place. The very next day (22/12/2016) the road side assistance came and took the vehicle to the showroom (MAHADEVA RENAULT PVT LTD, RAIPUR, CHHATTISGARH) And on 23/12/2016 they called me up and said that there should be a replace of chamber and it will cost 7000/- for which i told them to proceed and i will go for a claim. And later on 24/12/2016 they told me that i have to replace the entire engine saying that the engine has been seized.
                              I told them to provide me an estimate, and no one responded from that day and today (02/01/2017) they provided it to me after calling and asking them several times.

                              The main thing i can't understand is that how can the engine of my vehicle get seized without driving it and there was no chance to drive the car after it got hit by the rock.

                              i want a this to be cleared ASAP for which i am going to file a case and go to consumer court as i have all the evidences.

                              some of them i am attaching to this mail.
                              I am very serious regarding this issue and not going to leave this issue easily.

                                Really odd with renault kwid rxt 1.0 . i have traveled about 6k kms and on 30th Dec 2016 night during travel an rotten smell started from vehicle . So 31st Dec 2016 visited service center renault
                                they just said clutch plates need to changed and its an customer chargeable .
                                what is the use of vehicle warranty which has given for 50K
                                Its an really frustrated and painful to customer to pay money even after in warranty and that to branded new vehicle

                                I bought the Renault kwid vehicle on the 30 th May 2019 and now it has a clutch problem. At the dealer they told me they need to check first if the warranty covers it. I just want to know is that even possible for the clutch to give problems within 5 months of purchase? please advise.

                                  Dear Representative,
                                  On the above cited subject, i want to draw your attention towards a very complex issue i am facing. I have purchased a Renault Duster Car from your Rohtak Showroom, which No. is HR-21K-6000. At the time of purchase I was assured for its mileage about 18 km/ltr. This mileage advantage made me to purchase this car. But after occupation, from the very first day of driving, its mileage was measured as about 12 km/ltr (without A.C. on) and about 10 km/ltr (with A.C. on). Whenever I have get it serviced from your Authorised Service Station, I was told that they have set the problem and assured me for good mileage. But next day I realised that there was no improvement in mileage. Service Station is misguiding me saying that they have removed the fault. But I am confident that there is still the same problem. If it has not sorted out after 4-5 services, it is definitely Manufacturing fault, so my Car should be replaced with new one or the fault should be removed with definite assurance on the earliest.

                                    We have purchased a KWID 1.0 RXT (O) AMT EIV, from m/s Crystal Automobiles pvt. ltd. Ghaziabad on 8th December 2016 vide invoice no. VEH/01049/16-17.

                                    Till date, we have not received the R.C. and the vehicle permanent number,
                                    inspite of innumerable reminders.

                                    During booking we had specified smokey alloy wheels, which were provided after two weeks.

                                    we are disappointed and keeping our fingers crosssed for the future.
