I am approaching you for getting the refund amount of rs 53504 from royaloak since they did not deliver the order.
I had placed an order for recliners (2 seater + single seater) worth rs. 53, 504 on 23rd june at royaloak marathahalli branch using my wife's hdfc credit card (Bill is attached with this complaint). I was told that the product will be delivered by 30th june. However, it is never delivered till date. I started calling the royal oak customer service regularly since the product is undelivered. They kept saying that the product is not available and they are not sure when it will be available. So i asked them to cancel the order and refund the amount. They told us that i have to visit the royal oak branch. So, me and my wife travelled all the way to royaloak branch around 14 july and asked them to cancel it. However, the branch manager "abdul" behaved very rudely and denied to cancel the order. He kept saying that product will not be cancelled and we have to either wait for the product or go for another product. He did not even tell the date by when can they deliver the product. Finally, after escalating the issue and struggling for 2-3 hours, he talked to the customer care manager "mary" who told him that it can be cancelled. Mary said that she will take the responsibility to resolve the issue. Branch manager abdul angrily misbehaved with us while we were trying to get written note (Attached with this complaint) that the product will be cancelled by a given timeframe. However, the amount (Rs 53, 504) was charged to my wife's july month credit card bill. We also approached hdfc customer service many times and they told us that they have not received any information from royaloak to refund the amount. After many contacts, royaloak account section (Chandramohan and saravanan) forwarded an email to hdfc employee anuj choubey asking to cancel this transaction. Anuj mentioned that if i contact hdfc phone banking, the transaction will be cancelled. But hdfc customer care said that they need an email confirmation with other required details from royaloak which royaloak did not share with hdfc.
Meanwhile, on our request, hdfc investigated the dispute and kept the credit card amount on hold and credited rs 53504 to my account as a temporary solution. However, last month, royaloak has claimed the entire amount of rs 53504 into their account because of which my wife's credit card september bill is charged with the amount rs 53504. We tried calling royaloak customer care manager mary and chandramohan again many times. Now mary doesn't even pick up my phone. Hdfc team says that since royaloak claimed the amount, royaloak should reverse the amount either to bank or to the customer and then send an email confirmation with reversal transaction details to hdfc and the customer.
We took all the pain daily since june 2019 till today to call royaloak customer care and its accounts section team as well as hdfc customer care. No progress is seen till date. No one wants to take the responsibility from royaloak. It is very very disappointing that even after 3 months of our struggle, royaloak has claimed the amount even though it did not deliver our order. They tried to cheat us on many levels.
Today, hdfc told us that since royaloak is not giving any response to them, my wife has to pay the full amount. We tried calling mary and customer service of royaloak but none of them are helping. Even though this is completely royaloak's fault, me and my wife tried to approach everyone and get the amount refunded. But we are completely stuck with no clue on how to resolve this.
Hence, we request you to kindly help us with the amount refund from royaloak. It has been more than 3 months and we do not have any money to pay for royaloak's mistakes. Please let me know in case you need any other information required to resolve this issue.
