I purchased Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge on March 18th (launch day in India) but last month in June I got wet in rains with phone in my jeans pocket while I was on my motorcycle. I did not get immediate shelter and by the time I could find a place I was wet and drenched in rain. When I reached home I saw the phone was heating excessively and touch was unresponsive, I also saw some condensation on the rear camera. Since the battery is non-removable I had to let the phone battery to drain out and leaving it under the fan to dry. It took nearly 5-6 hours for the battery to die and condensation was also gone. Then I tried to charge the phone and phone would not charge or power on, there is where I understood the phone is now dead. Then I approached the service center where they said the phone is water logged and would not be covered under warranty.

One of the main reason to buy this phone was that it is advertised as water resistant up to 30 min in 5 feet of water. When I had been to Samsung showroom to see the phone, they demoed the phone by inserting the demo phone in the bowl of water. Since I had no intensions to water test this phone as there are 100s of test videos on YouTube already and hence I had not taken any insurance on the phone. I am also not a blogger who does any video blogging.

Instead of checking as how did the water leak into the phone as per Samsung service center they are blaming me for water logging it which I have not done. This could be faulty instrument which I may have got where water leaked into the phone and also due to the design limitations I could not remove the phone battery to save my phone as it was powered on and heating after it got wet in rains.

I am average person who purchased the phone on loan and still paying EMI and now Samsung service center is demanding additional Rupees 29077/- for repairs. I belong to average middle class family where we build our assets on loan with no intentions to damage it. I think I should not pay for something which I have not done. Samsung is purely cheating Indian consumers and I am saying this because …

Since this has happened I have researched all over the internet and found few things which is worth mentioning that how Samsung is cheating in India. Samsung gives demo of the phone in showrooms by putting the demo phone in water which is a Snapdragon chipset basically a US variant. Now this clicked my mind as when I got my phone it was Exynos chipset and the showroom guys said except chipset there is no difference. But if there is no difference then how did the water just went in my phone while there are 100s of videos o[censored]S variant Samsung S7 Edge which survives extreme water tests on YouTube. When I searched YouTube I could not find a single video where India version of Samsung S7 / S7 Edge or call it Exynos chipset S7 / S7 Edge with water tests. This is where I fell Samsung is cheating Indian consumers.

I escalated the case to the Samsung CEO office India and I got no support from Samsung India, and the phone is with Samsung service center for last 1 month.

The service center people and their escalation managers are all partners to Samsung and they have do not forward anyone's genuine concern to SAMSUNG. May be they make profit like this by charging for repairs for under warranty products. Even thou someone from Samsung partners asked for my case number and my contact details thru this forum; but no one contacted me from here. I some how managed to get my case reach out to Samsung where they genuinely helped me and covered the phone repairs under warranty. These outsourced partners are different than Samsung while the actual Samsung managers are truly genuine people. Thanks SAMSUNG !!

    This is information about my mobile samsung galaxy grand prime, model no-sm-g530h, i have given to the service center of raigarh to m/s gayatri varities on dated 12th july 2016 for the repairing of charger pin not working, they have changed charger pin but near the charging pin area they have made cracked on body and frame, after that i have complained lodged but they did not accept and they blaim to me.
    So i have totally harassed about your very very poor quality of service at raigarh, chhattishgarh, india, i hope you may take necessary action against this type of activities happened by the service center m/s gayatri varities

          Mr. sharad [protected], i a calling your engineer from 12/7/2016 to till date
          He is responding on phone nor visiting the site. if this kind of service engineers samsung are going appoint possibly samsung has close down there shop very soon.. take it granted from me. he is such useless service enginees i have seen in my life.. hope samsung will take in positive spirit.. pls appoint sensible service person who attend the compliant urgently...

            Sir i have purchased samsung galaxy a7 on 29 may 2015. The phone started showing battery draining problem but the condition worsened after giving the phone to service centre. They said that sir ur os is upgraded to lollipop nd there is battery issue in that. I have given the phone to service centre many times but of no use. They have extended my warranty for 02 month. There is no use of that extended warranty as they are not able to solve the problem nd neither they r giving me replacement for that nor they are refunding the money. If i talk to service centre, service centre guy says that i can't do anything nd when i talk to customer care, they simply say that 'ki sir aapko ek bar service centre visit karna padega'. This is the wastage of hard earned money. Pl look into this matter.

                  I, kumar gaurav, gave my samsung galaxy grand max gt-7202 for the repairment of mobile phone's speaker but after 3 days, they didnot call me after correcting my mobile phone's issue and after bringing it home, it is again not working again. Now what can i do? I think, they are not repairing my device instead they give a damaged part to my phone that will work for sometime and get disturbed again so that they can make money after warranty period. And most noticing thing is that it has happened twice.

They said tthing on the screen. I consulted the service centre. Th ey said that the damage is payable. The product is under waranty. So i dont want pany any single pany.

                        Dear sir,
                        I have repaired my samsung microwave oven on 28 th june 2016 but after coming to home it is not working.
                        I have paid rs 2094 for repairing this and i have not use single day after repairing it.
                        Before repairing, your service engineer has assured that after investing rs 2094, it will work.
                        But after repairing i am not able to use it single day. I have lodge complain on 2 nd july and my complain number is [protected].
                        But till date i have not received solution of this. Please look into this and do the needful.

                          Subject: complaint letter for the faults in the samsung j7 model phone.
                          Sir/madam,
                          This letter is to inform you that on 12/05/2016 i purchased a samsung j7 model (Model no:smj700f/dd &receipt no:sc2450) from the samyak sales shop of our locality manufactured by your renowned concern.
                          I was very disappointed to find that phone that i purchased on 12/05/2016 was not functioning properly. So i went to your gallery for the repairs. The problem was related to the battery and their reply was such that i shall collect the phone after 10-12 days. My business work is stumbled due to this irresponsibility. Above this, when i went yesterday for an inquiry, (After 9 days from giving to repairs) your representative replied that it may take another 10 days. I would also like to bring to your notice that such a irresponsibility would lower the image of your company.
                          Also i want to confirm that whether you will replace the above mentioned product which is still under repairs your immediate action in this regard would be appreciated.

                              I am user of samsung galaxy s4 smartphone.

                              I have noticed that the battery of this phone has become swollen and the battery discharges very quickly often within 2 hours of charging the battery to full.

                              The phone has become very dangerous to use as there is every chance of battery to explode.

                              I consider the company to be liable for replacing the battery. i talked to the customer care and they do not accept that this is a manufacturing defect.

                                    We had bought the latest samsungsmart convertible refrigerator rtk56k6378on 4th may 2016. i had called samsung servuce centre with 1st complaint on 8th may 2016. the problem faced was that after opening the freezer door and closing it the freezer would not open for 30-40 seconds and we had to wait. i had called the samsung call centre on 8th may 2016 where i was asked to clean freezer door lining post which the issue should have resolved. i did do the same, however the issue was not resolved.

                                    We then started facing the issue of ice formation in the fridge compartment and leaking of water from the refrigerator for which the complaint was raised on 13june 2016 via samsung call centre. the call centre associate asked us to shutdown the product, defrost and clean it and then start it after sometime and the problem should have resolved. we followed the advice however the issue came back after a few days.
                                    We then registered a complaint on 26june 2016 for both issues. samsung technician visited on 1st july to confirm the issue and then on 12th july to make some modifications.

                                    As of now the issue with the freezer door still remains. additionally the fan has started making a huge noise when the freezer door is opened.

                                    Samsung is not making any replacement or even talking about a refund.
                                    We had purchased this product because it was being advertised as the latest state of art refrigerator by samsung... clearly that does not seem to be the case.

                                      I purchased the mobile galaxy j7 having imei no. [protected] & invoice date[protected].

                                      There was a problem in display. yesterday i have visited the samsung care near bsa college mathura. i met with mr. ashish, says that your mobile is out of warranty. it will charge 6000rs. for service as there is the problem in dismantle of led & touch.

                                      May i know your service criteria, when we purchased the mobile, warranty for accessories is 6 month & other then accessories is 1month from the date of invoice.

                                      This is the problem with hardware & why it will resolve out on chargeable basis??

                                      Your executive talks abusingly that your mobile is out of warranty & you can complaint anywhere. we cant resolve this issue without charging 6000 rs.

                                      Please state you level of service & customer warranty procedure & adhering the same.

                                      I always prefer samsung mobile & did not expect this from blue chip company like samsung. it will in order to loose the trust on trusted brand.

                                      Request you to resolve the same as mentioned in warranty clause.

                                        I am a samsung user from past 5 years. I have almost 6 samsung mobiles at my home. On 27th june 2016 i have bought samsung galaxy note 4 from flipkart. Within 12 days, the lcd panel came out. I want a replacement because it's a defective product. But neither service center (Sri varu solutions) nor the customer care helped me. I called many times to customer care. They took complaint and assured me that supervisor will call back in 4 hours. But i have not received any call from the samsung call center i am very disappointed. I didn't expect this response from samsung and i will definitely not buy any products from samsung in future.

                                        I have decided to fight for my right as a consumer. A newly bought product is defective one and i have all rights to claim for replacement. Please let me know how we can solve this issue.
