I am extremely disappointed with both the product quality and the service offered to me by snapdeal. The order ID i [protected], and was placed on 20th September 2016.
On 14th December 2016, the chair broke while someone was sitting on it, badly injuring that person. The wheel stand had broken. The weight of the person sitting on it is 78 kg, so it cannot be said that the product was stretched to beyond its limits.
Please find attached the photos of the product. On top of such pathetic product quality, the customer care was audacious and apathetic enough to claim that the product has been physically damaged, and also saying that physical damage is not covered in the product warranty. They said that if the product had broken within the first 7 days ("easy returns period" by snapdeal), then the product would have been replaced or a refund would have been processed. On asking then about what does warranty cover if not this, the answer i received is "Manufacturing defects".
How is it that they are supremely confident that the product did not break due to poor quality manufacturing? I have raised this through their helpline as well as their social media page, but the answer has been a cold "Sorry, we cannot do anything for you in this case due to policy"
I want a refund for the product. I would have asked for a replacement, but I no longer have any confidence on the products this company sells. I cannot say whether another chair sold by the company would break or not, and dont want to take risks with the health and safety of people using that chair.
