# concern on refund / replacement policy #
Dear sir,
With utter disappointment and inconvenience i am forced to write this complaint against snapdeal.
This is regarding my order for infocus mobile with below details (Screenshot attached):
Infocus m370i (8gb)
Color: white

10-sep-2016
1. Received the product on 10-sep-2016
2. Instead of white color phone they have sent me the black one
3. Since i have gifted it to my dad and in order to avoid the hassles of replacement process we decided to keep the black version
13-sep-2016
1. Noticed issues with the lock / unlock button. The button was not responding properly
2. Decided to go for replacement / refund
14-sep-2016
1. Raised a replacement / refund request online with the below details:
"ordered for white product, received black one. Also, the lock/unlock button is not responding properly"
2. Same day the product was picked-up from my home by the courier guy.

1. The order status was updated to "replacement request is declined. Returned item will be sent back to you."
2. Till this point of time nobody from snapdeal has contacted me regarding the replacement request
From that day, i have been continuously following up with snapdeal customer care but there was no proper response. Below is the day wise record of my calls with customer care:

1. Mentioned about the issue and asked why the quality check is failed and my request is declined.
2. As per the executive, since there was a mismatch in ordered product and delivered product, the quality check can be bypassed and you should definitely get the replacement / refund.
3. She assured me that she will escalate this issue and you can expect the call from snapdeal by the end of day.

1. I called up and mentioned that i haven't got any call from snapdeal as promised
2. The executive said, since it is sunday, no senior executive is available.
3. She again assured me that she will escalate this issue and you can expect the call from snapdeal in next 24 hours

1. Still there was no call / email from snapdeal. I called up customer care and explained everything again.
2. I was told again that you can expect the call from snapdeal in next 24 hours.
3. I told her i am fed up of hearing this. She assured that someone will call me.
Finally, on 21-sep-2016 i got a call from snapdeal but there was a shock in store for me. The executive told me that you have received what you have ordered and there is no mismatch. I asked her to check in the system and see what i have ordered. She then said someone from snapdeal will get back to you on this.

1. There was no call / email from snapdeal. I called up customer care and explained everything again.
2. This time the customer care executive was very rude and told me that "there is no mismatch and you will have to accept the product".
3. I asked him to check the system and let me know which color i have ordered. He said as per the system, you have ordered, you have ordered white phone. Then i said that i have received the black one. He then said, no sir you have received the white one only. I was shocked on hearing this.
4. He said, during quality check we didn't found any mismatch and hence you will have to accept the same product.
5. I questioned him, you are sending me the same product and if i will get the black one. Should i still accept it? He said, yes. Nothing can be done, you have to accept the product.
This last call has shaken my belief in the online shopping system and for the first time it made me realize how helpless we (The genuine customers) are in such cases.
Sir, i would request you to please go through this case and call recordings and decide yourself who is at the fault here.
Advertising can certainly help you capture the market but in order to sustain in this competitive world at the end of the day what really matters is "service quality and customer satisfaction".
