महोदय श्री,

में, शिल्पा शाह जो अहमदाबाद की रहीश हूँ और अहमदाबाद की कॉलेजमें प्राध्यापक हूँ | मेरे पतिभी प्राध्यापक है। हमें सामान्यत: १५ दिनकी छुट्टी मई महिनेमे ही मिलती है। सामान्यत: इसी समय के दौरान हम हमारा वेकेशन प्लान करते है। इस सालमें भी हमने कुछ ऐसाही सोचके SOTC के साथ South Africa के लिए planed vacation book किया था।
Vacation book करने के लिए SOTC का सेल्स पर्सन २८/४/१७को हमारा संपर्क किया और vacation २१/५/१७ अच्छा रहेगा क्योकि VISA के लिए १५ दिन चाहिए होंगे। हमने 29/4 /17 को book किया और उसने हमें 21 /5 /17 की जगह 16 /5 /17 की तारीख दी। क्योंकि उनके पास वो डेट्समें टूर नहीं थी। यहाँ पे हमने उससे पूछा भी की VISA के लिए आप कैसे Manage करोगे तो उसने कहा की मैंने ऊपर अपने ऑथोरिटी से बात कर ली है कोई प्रॉब्लम नहीं होगा। हमारे ना चाहते हुए भी उसने हमें 16 /5 /17 के लिए मजबूर किया। उसने भरोसा दिलाया की VISA 10 दिनमें आ ही जाते है लेकिन हम सबको 15 दिन कहते है। इस बात पे हमें भरोसा पड़ा था।
SOTC की और से जो पर्सन डील कर रहा था उसे हमने समय समय पर पूछते रहे की VISA का स्टेटस क्या है? आया की नहीं? तो उसने एक बात ही बताई आपके VISA आपको टाइमसे मिल जाएंगे आप अपना बाकी का पेमेंट कर दीजिये। हमने उनसे बताया की आप बोल रहे थे १० दिन में आ जाएंगे और १५ दिन तक नहीं आया और हमारे जाने का टाइम होने को है। आपने हमें मुसीबतमें रख है तो बाकी का पेमेंट VISA मिलने के बाद करेंगे। SOTC वालोने उस बात पर सम्मति दिखाई थी। मगर जानेके अगली शाम को फोन करके बताते है की आपका VISA आया नहीं है तो आपकी टूर एक दिन post -pond करनी पड़ेगी। हमने उसमेभी हामी भरी क्योंकि हमें पुरे साल का स्ट्रेसको ख़तम करना था। 16 /5 /17 को फोन आया की आपका VISA दिल्ही आ गया है आप बाकी का पेमेंट करा दीजिये जिसे हम आपको आपका Passport, VISA, Air-ticket, Itinery मुंबई जहा पर ठहेरो हो वहा पर पंहुचा शके। ऐ बात साम को ७ बजे बाद हुई थी इस लिए NEFT पेमेंट लेने से मना किया और CASH पेमेंट अहमदाबाद करने पर मजबूर किया। पेमेंट हो जाने के बाद उन्होंने फोन करके बताया की हम आपको आज VISA नहीं पहोचा शकते इस लिए हम आपकी टूर CANCEL करते है। आपका पूरा पैसा जो आपने हमको PAY किया है वो पूरा REFUND कर दिया जाएगा।
मगर समय के चलते उन्होंने हमारा पैसा REFUND नहीं किया और बताया की हम आपको आपका पैसा REFUND नहीं कर शकते आप LEGAL ऑप्शन ले शकते हो। इससे हमारे हमारी महेनतके रू. 3 लाख फस गए है। हकीकतमें फंसे नहीं है मगर SOTC वालोने दबोच लिए है। उनके पास Salaried लॉयर है और हमारे पैसोसे ही हमारे सामने लड़ेंगे जबकि हमको हमारे पैसे वापस लेने के लिए वकील रखना पड़ेगा और टाइम वैल्यू का भी नुकसान करना पडेगा। इस तरह से SOTC ने हमारे साथ विश्वासघात और छेतरपिंडी करि है। तो आपसे निवेदन है की एक सामान्य नागरिकको पड रही तकलीफ समजके हमको न्याय और हमारे फंसे हुए पैसे वापस दिलाने में मदद जरूर करेंगे।

    Hotel provided for stay is different from the one mentioned in the itinerary, stay was in the cheap low budget hotels with out proper air ventilation and also away from the cities.
    Total packed itinerary which leaves little time for rest.
    The train timings from helsinky was 7.30 in the morning when we reached the station we saw there were 2 more trains leaving at 10.30 and 11.35 am. And inspite reaching early the only programme for the day was dinner. So it was an immense physical torture because we got to sleep only 3 hours the previous night.
    House rules were read aloud at the reception area in some of the low budget hotels infront of other nationalities which was quite humiliating when the receptionist was questioned about it he said they read only for asians.
    Some of the indian restaurants provided for food were not upto the standard.
    Sightseeings provided were not satisfactory.
    While booking the tour the agent confirmed 4 star stay which was not provided by sotc.
    We have a proof that the hotel in oslo was booked in february while the tour operator told us that we could not get hotels in city due to ongoing conference.
    Sotc is juggling with peoples sentiments lives and money by making fake promises!

      Dear mr suri,

      I took a tour of russia and scandinavia with your company starting on 7may 2007. Following is the horror i had to go through,

      Incident:-

      We arrived moscow on 07 may 2017 and were accommodated in novotel centre. Moscow.

      1. On 08 may 17 at about 0715hrs, i stepped out of my room to see the weather to take appropriate woolens with me. My intentions was to go to lobby, go out and see weather. As i was walking in the alleyway, i saw a door open giving a view of balcony. I was staying on 8th floor. As any one will do, i stepped out to balcony to avoid going to lobby and a then outside. As i stepped outside into balcony i found the steel door closed i realised it was a emergency exit. I was not worried as i thought i can get out from emergency exit on the ground floor and the horror started. The staircase leading to ground floor were dark, musty smell, no light no communication. However since i had no choice a started descending cautiously. As i reached ground floor a bigger horror awaited me. The metal mesh door covered with steel was locked and secured with a wire chain. Still i was not worried as i seen a opening to outside on 2nd floor.in the mean time i started climbing to other floors hoping that some door may be opened. I banged on each and every door to draw attention.
      Since i was not getting any help i came to 2nd floor thinking that i can draw attention of some passerby walking on the road. It was early cold morning and there was hardly any one passing by. One or two people who passed by ignored my cal for helpl.

      On 2nd floor balcony all the glass doors leading to inside of hotel. I tried breaking them but could not do same as it was toughened glass. I tried and disturb security cameras on 2nd floor to draw security attention of security, but it seems no one was monitoring security cameras.

      Two hours have passed since my ordeal started. I started getting dehydrated and cramps have started in my joints. My bp has shot up and i started getting dis-oriented.

      At about 0900hrs i saw a chinese women passing by and she responded to my sign call. She went towards hotel to inform them. Though i had little hope.

      As my condition was getting worse i had little choice-

      1. Wait and collapse in dark and smelly staircase and wait someone to find some time. My death was imminent.
      2. Find other way to escape. The other way was to jump from 2nd floor on gravel below.in my best of judgment i decided to jump. I was seeing death so close that i thought that i may end up with few broken bones. Or worst death which sotc and the hotel will conveniently put as suicide.

      So i jumped. After that i do not what happened. But when i came to senses i had passed out stool and urine in my clothes
      In other words i had passed out due to impact of my head on hard gravel. My hand was bleeding, my hand and body was bruised, back had a shooting pain and neck was stiff. I could not walk as my right ankle had twisted.

      After i came to bit of senses i started crawling toward hotel as i could not walk. Then i met this kind chinese lady who told me that though she had told hotel reception they took no action. I am grateful to this women as she missed her tour to help me.

      After i reached hotel in bleeding state i met tour guide mr anurag. He told reception to call hotel doctor and manager. A young doctor ms anastisiya appeared with a very basic first aid kit. Manager of the hotel mr plten also appeared. He did not seem surprised because ha said that some time back a young girl with short dress was also trapped. It was not encouraging.in a serious case like this a body check is a must to see more injuries but after putting band aid she just went away.

      The doctor attended to my finger wound which was bleeding profusely by applying some antiseptic wash and a band aid. Further she applied some gel to my right leg ankle. Since i was in great agony i asked for some pain killers which were not given to me. At this stage tour manger asked me if i can continue with the tour. Since i had lost all the hopes with sotc and hotel i said i will go with tour. I knew when things go really bad some fellow indian tourist will help me.

      At a latter date when i said no help was provided by sotc the tour manager responded saying that it was my call. Sadly you don't ask a man who is in
      1. Shock and badly injured.
      2. Disoriented and doesn't know the extent of injury.

      Two days later when i told tour manager that i need pain killers as the swelling, bruises has started showing up. My hand, neck and back started turning black due to coagulated bloodand i could walk with much effort and pain.
      He went and bought brufen and muscle gel for which i paid euro 25+3=28 euro

      Three days before tour was ending i asked tour manager that i want to go back, reply was that it will be very expensive and no seats are available.in other words i was just brushed off.

      I continued with the tour and vowed never to travel with sotc again. At least 78 tourist travelling with me knew my plight. Most sympathised.

      Mr gandh other tour manager gave me a big lecture as to why they can not give me pain killer and first aid. Sotc does not carry any first aid kit. By profession i have been captain of a merchant ship and well versed in medical emergency. Since i had to depend on tour guide i could not do much and make things unpleasant for other tourist.

      The horror story is still going on as i have damaged muscles in right ankle and due to non availability of medical help it has worsened. Presently i am undergoing physiotherapy for my back shoulder and ankle.

      Mr suri, i can write a long incident report, but i hope you get the gist of my letter, not to mention how unprepared your organisation is to meet any eventuality. I got my second life but no thanks to sotc.

      I await your reply before taking any other action.

        Re: unsatisfactory holiday at leh ladhak from 21may 2017 to 28 may 2017
        I have just returned from an unsatisfactory holiday at leh ladhak from 21may 2017 to 28 may 2017with my wife and children, which was most disappointing. I was utterly amazed at this casual behavior of sotc. It is highly questionabl that the company that strives hard to keep its clients happy and satisfied has such an immature and inefficient way of dealing with us.
        Please find below a list of our complaints:
        1) this is the first mail from sotc (Pls note the highlighted area)
        Dear sir
        With reference to our discussion in holiday bazaar
        Please find the itinerary as attached and below offer is valid till 28th jan 2017
        Kindly give your acceptance from the same

        Name of the pax - abhijeet banerjee x 5 (Adults & 1 child)
        Product - marvels of ladakh
        Travel date - 21 may
        Leh – hotel upgrade - hotel glacier view - pax ready to pay inr 900 per person per day
        Amount : 40200 + 3600 = 43800.00 + 9% = rs. 47742.00
        Amount due: 40750 x 5 = 203750.00
        Deposit: 100000.00 in saturday
        This was the reply from our side

        Dear suranjana,

        First and foremost it is utterly disappointing that the booking details as promised by you was to reach me on 23rd jan 2017 but it was sent after my reminder on 25th jan 2016 to mr. S. K. Shaw. Secondly the offer and deal presented to us is not as discussed and finalised over the table. The mismatch is as follows:

        Amount : 40200 + 3600 = 43800.00 + 9% (As quoted by you) but this was agreed at 43000/- including hotel upgrade i. E. Hotel glacier view.

        Thirdly 35, 800/- less discount 3000/- +9 % was the tariff for the child which is quoted as same as the adults.

        Fourthly i was at least expecting an detailed itinerary

        Hence pls make the necessary corrections and changes and forward the same immediately. I was looking forward for a valued and supportive relationship... Which under such conditions is at risk.

        • unfortunalely we were not upgraded to glacier view and had to stay at hotel lotus.
        • we tried to contact the representative from kolkata hub but they were unable to resolve the matter and assured a call back…but not only we did not get a call back but is deceitful that they did not pick our phone calls any more. Intensions i am sorry to say was clearly reflected.
        • the accommodation provided at nubra valley was below standard and the rooms were improper for dwelling with stained bed sheets to improper attitude of the staff. (I[censored] require i have photographs to uphold my complain)
        • not to forget the food at nubra valley lotus eco hotel was pathetic. Is this why we rely on brands like sotc???
        • next the package included tent accommodation at pangong lake again which was deferred.
        • the hotel provided was on its construction process which lacked all major requirements of a hotel to be provided by sotc the brand and big name!!!
        • not to forget we had to strain ourselves with a requirement of personal vehicle instead of a tempo traveler.
        • it is quite objectionable and awkward that we had to request several times for the itinerary which was provided to us on 19th may 2017 at around 8-9 p. M……. Does this show professionalism???
        • the lady suranjana…her other team mates turned a deaf ear to our problems.
        The question in the end remains quite simple from my side is this what we book holidays for??? That too with sotc???

        Under the package travel, package holidays and package tours regulations you have a responsibility to provide all the elements of the package contracted for as they were described. We are legally entitled to receive compensation from you for loss of value, consequential losses and for the disappointment and loss of enjoyment we suffered. As you failed to provide us with the holiday we booked we are seeking compensation from you for the problems we encountered, and for the distress and disappointment we suffered as a result.

        I look forward to receiving a response from you within 7 days of receipt of this letter.

          I had booked usa trip for my parents, the sotc staff has to provide the essentials like trevel kit. We were told that the kit will be given to us.

          After the trip when we enquired about the travel essential kit, the officials refused to provide and started speaking in a bad tone to my parents, they are senior citizens and they made them go to different branches but till now there is no response.

          I will surely not recommend sotc again to anyone if my complaint is not taken seriously and provide us what was promised as we have paid for each and everything.

            We have had one of the worst and the most horrifying experience with this indias biggest company, which i guess almost all the people booking with SOTC has, they never answer the calls, at time of booking the holiday they run behind you for the payment and later they never give visa or any service on time, no phone calls, even the day before the travelling the visa were not been provided, it was provided 6 hours before the travelling time, and one of the most unethical and uncultured ######## have been recruited in this company, i wouldn't recommend anyone to go for SOTC or rather any of the travel operators, book everything online yourself you will never regret because of such ######## and uncultured ###### who are not even trained by such big companies to pick up calls and answer. They are least bothered about everything.

              Dear sir

              I am very much disappointed with sotc services. I will never again travel with sotc and will not recommend to anyone. I booked a dubai trip for my parents with you sales executive mr. Rakesh kota from himayatnagar branch, hyderabad. He offered me london creek hotel and flights i choosed. For that he collected additional 40 usd per passenger. He confirmed the flights details by mail also. A second before handovering cash to him he said london creek hotel is not available hotel ramee apartments will be given. Ramee hotel is inferior to london creek. I accepted for that and made payment for rs.116000/-. A day before journey i received flights tickets from him and the flights are fully changed. The flights were preponed and are highly uncomfortable timings to travel.in our earlier discussion i strictly told him that i don’t want flights in such timings. He didn’t even intimate that the flights have changed. As a caution i checked the tickets and found the fligths are changed. If i relaid on him and blindly proceeded i would have lost the entire trip. When i called him he answered me very recklessly. We compromised and reached hyderabad airport at 1 o clock in night. The check in department denied issuing boarding passes saying that they didn’t receive "ok to board confirmation" from sotc. I called rakesh 6 times he didn’t respond. I called your tour manager mr. Karl boambat, he is in dubai. He said he doesn’t even know what is otb you please contact branch i can’t do anything. I called etihad airlines customer care and requested them for otb and mailed them our visas and tickets. They have issued otb to us after 2 hours. Please understand how much tension and anxiety we would have faced in that late night, no help from your staff, 2hrs standing in the airport, i drove back to airport 50 kms and waited until my parents boarded the flight (4 clock in the morning), i called your tour manager at 4 clock and enquired him about receiving arrangement at abu dhabi airport he said a person will be waiting with a placard. But no one was available at abu dhabi airport. My parents called your tour manager he asked them to board the free shuttle bus provided by etihad airlines and come to dubai bus stand and take a taxi and come to travelers mall, he will pick up from there. Both my parents are senior citizens. I clearly told rakesh that money is not a issue don’t even make them stand or wait for 1-2 hrs also, if required prebook the hotels and arrange a private car. I am ready to pay the extra charges. I booked the flights from start to end point, there are no connecting buses. But suddenly you changed the flights and gave a free connecting bus. How can senior citizen persons carry their heavy luggage for boarding the buses and taxis? In chase of cost cutting and profit making you are troubled us like hell. We are not buying happiness and experience from you. We are literally buying troubles and pains from you. Your executive didn't even call me back after checking missed calls from me. He is so irresponsible and senseless idiot. I don’t know how you hired such a stupid fellow. Our family consists of 6 members and we travel at least 2 international destinations per year. We travelled many times but never experienced this kind of ill treatment and cheating. I wish you change your business style and keep up your goodwill.

              Mr. E Ranganath you are absolutely right. Even I traveled with a group of 10 ladies from Bangalore this January for DSF 2017. Same terrific experience.
              I was with sotc for Easter wonders with Orlando and Miami package. Which is a premium tour and guaranteed 4 star property. I was promised raddison hotel and was given park inn motel

              There seems to be no apology as well on the same

              There were many such failed commitments but not counting them.

                I have just finished my Dubai Shopping Festival 2017 tour with SOTC. Horrible services, just WASTE A LOT OF TIME without showing anything on the first day of arrival...no proper planning or proper co ordination of the guide with the tourists...does not cover all the important places properly. If informed before itself, tourists can go on their on...but waste our precious time...last minute surcharges are just a trap for us. BEWARE of SOTC!.

                  Sotc are the biggest cheats of the travel industry. they display attrective price on their web portal to allure customers and then the call center asks for more. they are even non apologetic. i am shocked at their unprofessional behaviour.
                  i have travelled with so many but they are really shocking. the website books the tripa at a certain rate and they ask for more.

                    I and my husband book a tour package to australia dated 23/12/2016 to 03/01/2017 of rs310000/- each.you have cheated us because u have given the same package to other persons rs270000/-. your service is poor. u have provide us the air tickets of jet star air line. this is worst air line. other peoples u have provide other air line service.one side your team on dated 21/12/2016 inform us
                    that your visa has been cancelled.After discussion with sotc team they inform us that your visa has been clear. in other side our visa was already clear dated 15/12/2016. this show the mentality of sotc.in which hotal we stay that was not satisfactory and worst. on dated 31/12/2016 we were at
                    sydny. on dated 31/12/2016 was not free day.you have not provide the transport to go tour place and other places. on dated 01/01/2017 and 02/01/2017. At that time we was on austrlia tour.you have waste our two to three days because we are unknown that area. so we want excess amt you charge from us.

                      I had been abroad with insurance cover for self and my wife from 18 Sep tp 11 Oct 2016.
                      On the last of our return journey from Paris to India, our bag with passports, cash, driving licence, multicurrency cards etc were stolen from restaurant of the hotel while having breakfast.

                      Due to loss of passports, had to cancel the booked tickets and go for new booking after obtaining emergency cerificates from Indian embassy in Paris.

                      We have submitted claims as below:-

                      Insurance company office in Gurgaon is not entertaining reimbursement of our air tickets arising due to loss of passports and getting emergency certificates causing new booking as we could not have travelled with out passports.

                        I had done a booking of Europe trip through Sotc for the month of August however suddenly my mom who was one of the passenger got cardiac arrest and so immediately I cancelled the tour and shared all the medical reports with them.In titillating they said they will refund the amount and on that basis I had taken another trip from them.Now they are not refunding the amount stating they charging for cancellation. This is purely cheating. I have paid them 110000 and they bad not provided me any tickets or any confirmation still they are now refusing to reverse the amount.

                          We had booked this tour Mysterious China with Yangtze River cruise in the end of the month of May 2016. One day prior to our departure i.e 21st july 2016 we receive a phone call from your office that the visa has been rejected due to clarification regarding accommodation at China which is the responsibility of SOTC .

                          Any travel agency/tour operator would have the courtesy to provide the traveler with the travel documents atleast one day prior to date of travel. But the previous day to the travel, our passports were still at the Chinese consulate at Mumbai, and the Bangalore office was enquiringly about the status of visa, and told us the previous night that our visas have been rejected .
                          SOTC is hopeless.
                          We had to repeatedly following up with their office from the time of booking regarding the visa constantly.
                          Despite all this the visa was at the Chinese consulate unstamped on the day of our departure.we had to cancel the trip because they rescheduled the dates which was inconvenient for us. They have not refunded even one rupee of the payment we made. It is one month since we canceled. Neither customer care nor the branch office people gave any supportdespite numerous calls and emails
                          They have no sense of responsibility towards the customer. I have lost a lot of money to SOTC.

                            Horrible experience to get refund from SOTC. They have charged outrageous cancellation fee of 50000/- per person for a Europe tour for my parents who are senior citizens but their visa got denied and had to cancel booking. They have charged 10000 to some and 25000 to some others but to us, 50000 without any company policy.

                            When booking a package, visa fee is included but in refund, it is not. They also do not provide details about cancellation charges.

                            I have been fighting with them for last 2 months for this white collar crime to get my hard earned money back and against this rampant rip off.
                            Never do business with them. No business ethics and no customer service.

                              There is a lot going in name of mice corporate events thats being done broad.Internal workers will try to get all the payment for the events in cash from the clients.
                              Sotc already puts up bracket of 30% margin on the cost. The sotc manager puts up another 10% margin on the cost

                              So actual event cost id lets say 10000 usd — manager will quote 11000 usd — sotc will quote 14000 usd to corporate client.

                              They are biggest crooks to begin with when it comes to sucking money out of corporate client in name of mice project.

                              Roadside mentality that they carry & scavengers kind of these mice tour manager. They dont care in the end if your team has had a good time & had valuable learning experience from all the expenses paid by the corporate.

                              Beware do you own sourcing would be an advice to corporate indian looking for mice service. Also dont go near thomas cook its the same bracket.Indians can never keep up to international reputation they will bring bribe culture no matter they working for mnc

                                I visited four countries of Europe with group of doctors. On first day we had to visit Amsterdam, but our hotel was arranged more than100km away from Amsterdam. Next we had to visit cheese factory for which we again travelled100km by bus. Our lunch was arranged in an Indian restaurant which was very far from visiting sites and had very poor service. Next morning we boarded for Paris by bus. It was a tiresome journey and our whole day wasted in the bus. We could have saved our time in metro by skipping the traffics. On our visit to Eiffel tower, the arranged guide service was very inconvenient and visit to Paris was also wasted. Next, we had to go Switzerland that also by bus. It took tiring 10 hrs . Bus drivers was not cooperating. We had to catch flight to India from Germany. Half of our visit was wasted in the bus. Hotels were arranged in far away cities and outskirts. Restaurants gave very poor quality food. All our was nothing but tiring and full of problems and confusion. Not even guide was arranged.
                                Was it one of those conference travel group.

                                  We had booked the 10 day Kenya with Tanzania with confirmed departure on 13th May, 2016. We had made full payment of Rs. 4, 65, 972 along with our passports, documents, Yellow Fever and Polio Certificates when asked for. Just 20 days before departure we were informed that the tour was call off. By then we had invested in a lot of things to carry on the trip. When we requested for a refund, we were again given the option to travel on the same tour and price on 1st July, 2016, which we accepted. On 28th April, 2016 we got a call informing us that the tour scheduled for 1st July, 2016 will not kick off if the passenger count is below 20 heads and also we would have to pay a huge extra amount to be on that trip.

                                  Having lost all confidence in the way SOTC was handling our tour and now harassing us, we claimed full refund for failed services. It took us umpteen phone calls and mails but our money was still not credited to our account. It was only after I shot out a mail to the MD of the company did they finally wake up and refund our money.

                                  I strongly advise passengers to be extremely cautious, before even thinking of booking with SOTC. You could well be taken for a ride.
                                  Can you please share MD email id I would like to put forth my complaint too.

                                      I have booked tour with SOTC for europe with its tour naming European splendor from 28th auguest. Accordingly my air tickets are booked with jetairways with booking ref no UZDGPD. At the time of booking SOTC person had confirmed baggage allowance for LONDON MUMABAI RAJKOT with 2 pc of 23 per passagner, and same was shown in jet airways web site. when i got copy of ticket it shows 30 kg only. when i checked with SOTC AnD JET AIR, they says since i am travelling with same airline from rajkot-mumbai-abudhabi -paris with 30 kg allowance, i will be allowed 30 kg only for london-mumbai-rajkot. my point is when airline is facilitating other passagers on same flight with 2pc of 23 kg per person, i must be given same. i am told that if i take only london-mumbai-rajkot i can get 2 pc -23 kg per person, but since only i am travelling jet air for rajkot-mumbai-abudhabi-paris i am not facilitated with 2*23 kg. so i must be facilitate with same baggage allowance with other passangers who paid same fare.

                                        July 4th SOTC 19 Day Magnificent Europe Group Tour Tour Manager : Miling Bhanushali and Guru Iyer The details of the group tour as provided to us in the brochure were as follows : http://www.sotc.in/holiday/new-magnificent-europe-summer-2015/ where the hotels stated were as follows : London - Hotel Holiday Inn Wembley - 2 nights Netherlands - Hotel NH Eindhoven - 2 nights Paris - Hotel Best Western CDG - 2 nights Engelberg - Hotel Terrace - 3 nights Geneva - Hotel NH Airport - 1 night Nice / Cannes - Hotel Park Inn - 2 nights Florence - Hotel Art Miro - 1 night Rome - Hotel Mercure EUR West - 1 night Venice/Padova - Hotel SB - 1 night Innsbruck Hotel Alphotel 1 night Salzburg - Hotel Mercure Central - 1 night Munich - Hotel Novotel Airport - 1 night Flights mentioned were : Eithad, Qatar and Emirates. On repeated requests, we got the itinerary a day prior to departure. The details were shocking when we compared the same to what was mentioned. Not only hotels but the location of the hotels in terms of country was also changed The same provided to us had no AC or alternate arrangements for even basic stand fans. The airlines were changed to Oman with a layover at Muscat . When asked they said it was a group booking and nothing could be done. The good points I will not take away from the tour : Good Indian lunch and Dinners. Good sightseeing Excellent tour managers Excellent drivers The REAL PAIN - TYPE and LOCATION OF HOTELS WITH NO AC Hotels which were more of motels on the National highways or Autobahns or whatever they were called. Forget three stars, the locations of hotels was also changed depriving us of opportunities to venture out and do some roamning on our own. The most painful were the following : 1) Netherlands - Hotel NH Eindhoven - 2 nights This hotel had AC rooms but were not assigend as SOTC had asked for normal rooms it seems After a lot of fighting till 2 AM and arguments the next day we got AC rooms. 2) Switzerland - Hotel Arcade in Sins (45 mins from Lucerne and 1.5 hrs from Engleberg) This hotel was bang next to a highway in a smaller town called Sins (sans night life or any attraction nearby) Doors on washrooms would not close, no AC . We were asked to open our windows to cool the rooms We did that and could not sleep thanks to the railway station right behind and trains making a lot of noise through the night. We had a visit to Mt Titlis -Englebersg and when we saw where we should have been given hotel. The whole group was furious for keeping us in Sins and the hotel was also a normal one. SOTC can get away by saying that they did mention a change could be possibble. Hotels can be changed but who gave them the right to change the location altogether ?????? In Geneva they put us up on the border in another stupid hotel in France. 3) GERMANY - HOTEL NH AM RING = NO AC NO FANS With heat and no air outside the room refused to cool down. Most o[censored]s were up walking on the street till 2-3 AM and then somehow caugt 2-3 hours of sleep UK - HOTEL THISTLE LONDON HEATHROW - Passable but surely not better than promised ibis. Netherlands - Hotel NH Eindhoven - SOTC booked nnon AC rooms where AC was available. PARIS - MERCUURE ORLY RUNGIS - Away from the city, cost us 70 Euros to get to a rail station ... SWITZERLAND - HOTEL ARCADE SINS 3 nights - WORST HOTEL OF ALL which was changed in location from ENGLEBERG (TERRACES) to SINS(ARCADE) ) GENEVA - HOTEL MERCURE ANNEMASSE - On the French border, taxis were expensive so no venturing out NICE - HOTEL MERCURE SAINT RAPHAEL - Okay but not the 3 star kind FLORENCE - PROMOTEL - Not sure how these hotels were found. Rooms started at 44Euros, more of a motel. ROME - ITALY HOTEL ROMA SUD - Again on the highway, but fortunately had AC. VENICE - ITALY HOTEL IBIS PADOVA this was chanegd to AC PADOVA a mariott property and it was worth the monney ! INNSBRUCK - AUSTRIA HOTEL OLYMPIA - More of a skiing lodge in the hills, awesome views great breakfast but basic rooms with bunk beds for extra adults. SALSBUURG - AUSTRIA AUSTRIA TREND SALZBURG MITTE - Looked like a motel, but was the last hotel with air conditionning GERMANY - HOTEL NH AM RING WORST OF THE LOT- No AC, Unhelpful Staff SOTC can say that they said hotels could be changed and try getting away but they changed the Locations also Switzerland almost everyone took a look at the brochure and agreed as the hotel and location were wery nice. The whole fun was spoilt because of that stupid hotel in Sins ! If you compare the two Terraces in Engleberg and Arcade in Sins you will know the difference. 50% were not even 3 star hotels. Like us who blocked their calendars 2 months in advance, SOTC also knew about the date 4th July months in advance. In fact after confirming that this was a confirmed departure we agreed and paid. So why did they not book the promised 3 start hotels in advance, changed locations and even cities and countries ? They know that the tour is very hectic and they said so themseleves They should have known a good night's sleep is requried for people to get ready for the nextday. Overall an Okay tour, experience of which was thoroughly spoilt by the booking of shoddy hotels and pathetic airlines. The SOTC OPERATIONS GROUP IUS AN UTTER DISASTER IN THIS CASE AND WE BLAME THEM SOLELY. Thanks to good Tour Managers and excellent drivers, the mood was somehow kept upbeat. We are raising a legal concern to the authorities and alsoo plan to involve the UK Embassy as they were also given false information by SOTC. They were shown Eithad Flights and Ibis Bookings !!
