I have been a regular customer to Spice Jet ,however the experience today was awful.

I saw a fare of 9405.00 two adults and one infant however at the payment page the final amount showed 9458.00.

I didnt see where that 53.00 came from called the Customer Service and spoke to agent who was well not satisfactory and then I requested to speak to a Supervisor who was not only Rude but arrogant.

He kept on saying he sees same fare of 9405 but you have to pay 9458.

On questioning him why the Fare is wrongly listed or why 53.00 is hidden. He said you can see on Travel Tips we charge 800 for infant so you have to pay total 9458 but never made me understand why 53.00 is hidden charge.

Requested him to tranfer the call to Manager,he says call is non transferable.

His name is RISHINDRA TRIPATI.(GURGAON).

You can email me at [protected]@fareportal.com for any further queries.

I have attached the screen shot and is also being send to [protected]@spicejet.com

    Sir/Madam,

I had booked a ticket through clear trip.com via internet for a spice jet flight from chennai to coimbatore for travelling on 10th April 19.00 hrs.

I had reached the baggage screening counter at chennai airport at 18.05 hrs and there was long queue, since the baggage screening was shared by spice jet and Indigo airlines. It took nearly 20 minutes for my baggage to get screened.

There after, when i reached the counter it was 18.25 hrs but i was denied a boarding pass. Immediately i took the issue to one Mr.Hariprasad who is a supervisor, He abrubtly refused and informed counter is closed for coimbatore even without giving any audience to me. Then i asked him, who is your manager? He directed me to one Ms.Selvarasi, with out understanding the urgency, she was talking to a Jet air ways passenger for nearly five minutes. Then she turned and told it is not possible to accomadate you. I explained her it was not my fault it was the fault of the airlines for making the baggage screening too late.
she was never bothered about my grievance nor any concern towards customer.

I really don't understand, How these airlines are appointing such kind of staffs, who are not customer freindly nor have good understanding capacity. They don't seem to understand because of the customer's support only they are getting paid.

It was very bad experience for me with spice jet airlines staff. I also lost my money because of the poor understanding of the staffs.

Therefore, I request your goodself to conduct an enquiry on the above mentioned staffs and to improve the service of the airlines.
    Your's faithfully

      To Mr Pradeep Shah
      DGM Customer Relations

Further to my email dated 10th March, I am attaching the relevant photos and also the bill for the new luggage for your reference and action.

I am disappointed you have failed to show appropriate care and concern to rectify the damage caused to me. In a most heartless manner, Spice Jet hides behind a non existent policy disclaimer. Your baggage disclaimer is clearly supportive of my claim since it only states that the airline is not responsible for wear and tear, handles, wheels etc. And you may verify with eye witnesses Ms Lapreet and Mr Naveen at Hyderbad airport that the piece was brand new, and I showed them the price tag. The bill verifies the date of purchase on 20 Feb and the luggage model is Samsonite Verena 66cm spinner which is a high end model.

My new baggage was torn by negligence and carelessness your handlers. It has been forcibly ripped against something sharp, or one of your staff took a blade to it. Please refer to the photos.

Spice jet has ignored my claim and sent me a cheque for 10% of the amount which i have not cashed. This issue is not settled. I fail to understand how the airline can deny responsibility for its action? Your airline has poorly trained its staff and the customer has to pay the price? I am aware that Spicejet is an innovative low cost airline, but I had hoped that only applied to its fares and not its policies or behaiour.

I took the suitcase to the Samsonite dealer in my hometown after returning from my long journey, and was told it is not possible to repair the damage, it is permanent.

My fair expectation and demand is that Spicejet replaces the suitcase with a new model or compensate the bill amount so that I can go and purchase a new one.

I will never get into a Spicejet again, and will ensure that I can broadcast my bad experience to everyone I know, in person, via emails, facebook and any other medium I am able to. I will atleast reach a few hundreds this way who will spread the message to a few thousands.

Please train your handlers to better care for luggage, after all it costs many times the airfare. Compared to your prompt response last time, I was surprised and saddened at your indifference this time.

        Sir/Madam,

I would like to bring to your notice the irregularity in conduct by Spicejet Airlines.
I had the worst flying experience with Spicejet on 31st December 2010. I was traveling from Bangalore to Delhi via Flight number SG 216 to spend New Year with family. The flight was scheduled for 20:15 hrs but the flight was delayed. The flight was not delayed because of weather problems but the flight was delayed due to the mismanagement of Spicejet Airlines.

After the flight delay announcement the ground staff for Spicejet Airline was nowhere to be found and when we found them they had no answer. We had to wait for 40 minutes for someone to educate us on the situation after screaming for information. We were told that they didn't have a pilot to fly the aircraft. The airline was aware of the fact that the pilot wouldn't be available for the flight as his earlier flight coming from Hyderabad had been delayed.

As informed by the airline the incoming flight from Hyderabad was suppose to take off at 5 PM but did not do so. So, the airline was aware about the delay of incoming flight at 5 PM, but they informed the passengers about the delay of SG 216(Bangalore to New Delhi) at around 7:10 PM. Being aware of the situation the airline did not take any proactive step to arrange a pilot for the flight rather they felt comfortable to delay the flight and then get a pilot after 2 hrs. In the beginning the staff denied any responsibility of the airline for the delay but later when we showed them the Travel Information Guidelines printed on the back of the e-ticket generated by the Spicejet website they accepted the mistake.

Sir/Madam, the flight reached New Delhi airport at around 1 AM and my family had to wait at the airport for 2 hrs in the chilling New Delhi winter weather. As we live on the other side of the city so going back was not an option for them. I have already taken up this matter with Spicejet Airlines but they haven't responded properly. They are giving the same nonsense reasons as given by them on the night of flight.

Sir/Madam, I request you to look into this matter as my complaints have been completely ignored by the Spicjet Airline.
        Thank you.

        regards
        Jaskirat Singh Anand

Hi, I am an ex officer of the Armed Forces.I booked a flight ticket with defence promo in spicejet.I had to cancel my ticket due to commitment elsewhere. They refused to cancel the ticket saying that a defence quota ticket cannot be cancelled or changed and no money will be reimbursed. I tried explaining that thaey may even keep it in the account for me to travel later. they refused. what kind of a JUSTICE IS THIS. THIS IS SUCH AN UNFAIR PRACTICE. I got around 500 rs concession per ticket for 3 tickets and they are not ready to even deduct my concessional amount anf give the rest back.this is absolutely unethical and counterproductive. I want my money to be reimbursed.

I travelled in spicejet airlines on 15th Feb 2011 from Delhi to Bangalore in Flight # 509 and departure time is 20:30 and flight got delayed to 23:50 and we checked in the baggage at 20:50 in delhi airport with a baggage Tag # [protected], later we arrived at the bangalore at 02:40 mid night and we are the first to reach the baggage counter no 1 in the bangalore Airport. we didnt find our baggage in the counter, and the spicejet people didnt response properly and they didnt even able to track whether the baggage has been sent from delhi and no proper communication from them and saying only one thing that as its a midnight unable to communicate to delhi airport spicejet people. later at 3:45 recieved a baggage irregularity report form # 5337, PNR # I5D7LX, its a black colour stroller bag with a silver brand logo on top of it, the bag contains a valuable clothes and eatables and bag weight about 16 to 20 Kgs, After a day recieved a complaint no for the customer service spice jet # CR/91643/2011, and every time when they call tell only one thing unable to trace the baggage. There is a one more contact no given by Spicejet Blr [protected] in this no body picks the call even after calling 5 to 10 times and if picks they keep transfer the call from one person to another and on 18th they called up and telling unable to trace the baggage will compensate Max of 3000/-, and i informed them to take some more time and trace my baggage and get it back, but till date no response from the Spicejet, compensation which they quoted is not at all accepted and this value what they quoted its not even the cost of my empty trolley bag, so i need a better compensation or trace my baggage at the earliest and send to my permanent address.

Kindly look in to this details and resolve this loss of my baggage case at the earliest.

              Thanks and Regards

              SPICEJET AIRLINES — Baggage irregularity

my complaint registered by the company at no CR/48399/2009 REGARDING COMPLETELY DAMAGED BAG
I THINK YOU WILL NOT PREFER TO GO IN LITIGATION WITH YR REGULAR CLIENT ON THIS FESITVAL OF JOYS.

IN CASE YOU HAVE NOT SETTLED THE ISSUE I HAVE NO ALTERNATE.

              M.NO. [protected]

YOU CAN COLLECT THE DAMAGED BAG
This is Bhushan Sathe from Pune, India. I travelled from Pune to Chennai on Spicejet flight No. 219 alongwith 3 of my other friends. We all checked in the baggage at the same time on Pune airport and had Baggage check-in tags attached to Ticket of Seat No. 22A in the name of Sunil Deshpande.

When we reached Chennai airport, we came to know that my baggage was lost by Spicejet somewhere in Transit, thought 3 of my other friends received their baggage. We tried to follow up this matter with the Officer on duty but didnt receive any satisfactory answer. The duty officer their got the "Baggage Irregulatiry Report" filled.

The entire details are as follows :
PNR : G2SSDA (PNQ to MAA)
              Flight : 219
              Date : 9 July 2010 Depart 11.40p Arrive 01.10A
Boarding time at Pune Airport : 11:00 P
              Seat Numbers : 22A, 22B, 22C, 22D
Baggage Sequence Numbers ; 27, 28, 29, 30 (All baggage tage are attached to Seq. 27)

Immadiately after arriving Chennai Airport we had our flight to COLOMBO (Air India Express) for which Check in started at 4AM. So we could not spend much time there following up this matter.

I came to know that Spicejet had called at my Home address saying that I will receive the compensation of Rs. 2650/- for loss of baggage.

THIS AMOUNT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE TO ME since the cost of baggage lost was much much more than this and I do not want to incur loss due to negligence by spicejet. After arriving back to India I followed up with Spicejet, but they are still adamant on the same amount of compensation i.e. Rs. 2650/-

Here is the list and approximate cost of the items.

              1) 3 Jeans Trousers @1150 each : Rs. 3450/-
              2) 2 Trousers @ Rs. 900 each : Rs. 1800/-
              3) 4 Shirts @ Rs. 850/- each : Rs. 3400/-
              4) 5 T-SHirts @ Rs. 500/- each : Rs. 2000/-
              5) 2 Memory cards of 4GB @Rs. 950 each : Rs. 1900/-
              6) Mobile Charges : Rs. 450/-
              7) Rechargeable battery charger : Rs. 3000/-
              8) Miscellanwous items : Rs. 2000/-
              9) Bag Cost : Rs. 3750/-
              10) An Umbrella : Rs. 250/-

Total Cost of baggage lost : 22000/-.

It is a matter of negligence and carelessness towards customers that Spicejet is offering a small amount of Rs. 2650/- to me thought I lost much more than this. I do not accept whatever spicejet has offered me and whatever Spicejet policies may be.

I have suffered a great mental tension, agony and harrassment due to such event. I literally in Srilanka with just a sack in my hand and purchased few essential clothes, T-shirts etc. there. I was i no mood to enjoy the tour. Spicejet is completely liable for this. I am also forced now to ask for compensation for mental agony and harrasment caused due to this over and above my baggage loss.

              Regards
              Bhushan Sathe

I have booked a return ticket on SpiceJet with Booking Reference Reservation Number : T8R1EL

On Feb 20th I wanted to cancel Delhi to Mumbai SG 109 and called up the customer service but they refused to cancel on the ground that it is a return ticket and second leg of the journey can't be cancelled because I have already completed first leg of journey. Customer service flatly refused to refund or issue a credit voucher, not even for the UDF/ taxes of Delhi Airport.

This condition is nowhere mentioned on the ticket printout. This is clearly a cheating on behalf of SpiceJet.

This company is indeed not reliable. In december 2011 I booked two flight tickets for 28 March (Bangaluru-Delhi) on internet and paid by credit card.
On 28 March, during the check in, I had to show the credit card used for the payment three months before.
As I received a new credit card from my bank in the meantime, I had to give back the old one to the bank and therefore was unable to show the old one during the check-in.
An unflexible employee( altough I had the old nummer available) forced us to pay a second time but added: "you will be paid back within the seven days". As we had to fly back to Europe by catching an other play in Delhi, we had no choice : we paid twice.
Despite two mails providing the evidence of two payments for the same flght and asking for reimbursement, this company does even not answer!
As European tourist I warn anyone who have to take internal flight not to choose SPICEJET. Their practices are doubtfull
Can you imagine, you loose your credit card during your holidays or even worse your credit card has been stolen, you are unable to use your prepaid tickets! Welcome to India!

This is a complaint about the service of Spice Jet

                      Hi,

I am unfortunately traveling by SG606 from kolkata to delhi today. My PNR Number is W5Z6AS.
The flight was supposed to take off at 12 PM. However the flight kept on getting delayed and now the staff claim that the flight will now take off at 3:30PM

All I would like to say is that th airlines is the worst worst airlines that there can be. The flight has been delayed from 12pm to 3pm because of so called "bad weather". The staff at the airline kept on bluffing to the guests and above that they were being rude.

There are passengers who have missed their flight because they could not reach delhi on time. I am a person who will have to join my new organization from tomorrow.
I am a resident of delhi and the weather is absolutely fine.
We are unsure whether the flight will at all take off.

4 flights namely 2 kingfisher and 2 jet airways have taken off to delhi. They need to have better ways to fool guests.

The food is bad and the staff is equally unfriendly. Seems as if we have to pay them to smile.

Today at exactly 5: 30 AM we received a message that we should report 3 hours prior to departure. And then another 3 hours it gets delayed? Above all, the staff is not even sure if the aircraft will be there on the time told to us.

What does the airline think? We are free and useless to wait all day? People come out after eating breakfast at 8 and then the flight takes off at 3:30pm instead of 12pm. The airlines doesn't even have the courtesy to offer lunch to the guests. It was only after a mob surrounded them that they got the refreshments.

When a guest came and spoke about the concern about whether the trains that they missed, the ticket money will be refunded?, a staff named Srijit bluntly says that they cannot do anything.
There are many guests who have missed flights and trains because of this.

Unfortunately, simply unfortunately I had to choose this third class airlines to travel. I vow never to travel myself and I will make sure to spread the word as well. Do make sure it reaches the owner of this airlines as well. Don't try to compete with Indigo, because you cannot even come close to close to compare your services with them.

I Would be grateful if this is looked into as this is sheer harassment of guests.

I travelled via Spicejet flight on 15th January from Ahmedabad to Delhi. Upon landing at Delhi, I found my Samsonite (hard back) and new American tourister luggage pieces completely broken. Since they were hard back, they are beyond repaid. I lodged a complaint at the spicejet counter at the airport. They are offering me a compensation of Rs.500 (this is not a joke) for two suitcases which would joinltly cost over Rs.12000. Their customer care seniors / CEO /COO are not available to make a reply or even to acknowledge the mail.

It is sad to see that how females passengers travelling by Spicejet are being robbed of their belongings and getting insisted to get compensated for the same.

I was traveling from Kolkatta to Bangalore on 22nd Jan 2011 from flight no. 886, after finishing marriage shopping.

At airport, I informed Spicejet official that i want to take the suitcase as cabin baggage but they forced me to put everything as checkin baggage. I got suspicious the way Spicejet officials at their counter were insisting me to put my luggage as checkin luggage and i was asked to leave the queue . So, I cross checked the tag and lock and they were in place. And to my horror, when i landed on bangalore airport my luggage was not there. After contacting concerned officer there, they were least concern about the baggage and informed that spicejet is not taking responsibility of the luggage and will compensate for lost item.

This is to inform that Spicejet is taking customers for granted and stealing their luggage and forcing to get compensated for the same. It clearly indicates a malified intention of Spicejet of robbing female passangers of their belongings and get compensated with a meager amount of 3,000.

The passenger has been mentally tortured and humiliated as the luggage contains goods worth lakh, purchased for marriage, as a proof I do posse bills for the goods purchased in kolkatta.

Also, the customer service has reached to abyssmal low as there is no calls informing customer for the curent status, and they keep updating false comments against the raised complaint, that too only when we call them.

Spicejet is responsible for the trauma, humiliation and agony caused to me as the luggage contains clothes for marriage. I am really feeling helpless and every time i contact them they insist on compensation. Also, they have already issued the cheque in just 2 days of my lost baggage.

I am really worried about my luggage. which is STOLEN by spicejet. As i want my luggage and not the compensation which Spicejet is more interested in.

I want peoples help in cracking the malpractices Spicejet is getting involved by stealing the luggage and forcing for compensation.

Also, i would like to bring to your and government notice that why only flight fares are rising constantly and why not the compensation amount is increasing proportionately.

Please request you take this points to highest possible level to ease the life of passengers which are unnecessarily being torture by airlines.

This is utterly rubbish. We just cannot let this happen to anyone. People will lose faith in all different modes of transport. I have heard of Auto drives not returning luggage, cab drives running away with luggage, but this was not expected from the Air-traffic service providers. This is real shame, we should not keep quiet & let our voice be heard to all. We should contact the media to help us in this concern.
This is shocking!! The callousness and irresponsiblity of the spicejet officials is absolutely unacceptable and should be brought to noice of all. They better investigate and return the belongings at the earliest to avoid losing face!
Spicejet should understand the importance of consumers and take the action immedietely. this really terrified me and i doudt i ll choose spicejet next time to fly.
This is really terrifying. I doubt i ll use spicejet for travelling and will also spread the awareness among others. spicejet will have to understand that in this era consumer is the king.
Most people living in India believe that their luggage is safer in flights than in trains because there is no chance of your belongings getting stolen. But is that true? Did anyone think that Spice Jet people can be thieves? No, right? But they’re wrong. My aunt’s valuable items got stolen in that very flight, Spice Jet. You don’t believe me? Then let me tell you the sad and hateful story about how low the Spice Jet crew can stoop to.

She was traveling from Kolkata to Bangalore on 22nd Jan 2011 from flight no. 886, after finishing marriage shopping. At the baggage counter, she stated that she wanted her baggage to be a check-in luggage. She said that the official insisted that she not do that, and hurriedly kept their bags on the belt. She was already getting suspicious. When she arrived in Bangalore, she saw that her baggage had not yet come yet. She went to the counter and asked the Spice Jet officials. But they were the least concerned about it, and said that they would arrange for compensation. She didn’t want that. Even now when she calls, they say the same thing.

We are pretty sure that the Spice Jet crew are the thieves for this, and the fact that you lose your baggage on a flight is serious. Very serious. A lot of valuable items are gone now, forever. They STOLE the baggage’s, and are lying about it. They must have 4 or 5 cases like this robbery every day, and those innocent people can’t do anything about it. Instead of spice jet, it should be called a robber jet flight, because that’s how low they are. They are robbers, and knew that my aunt had some valuable items in there, and kept it. We are pretty sure that this is not the first time, and one day, this could happen to you to. This is just a warning note: NEVER TRUST SPICEJET ANYMORE!!! THEY ARE ROBBERS AND THIEVES!!! NEVER GO BY THAT FLIGHT!!!
Spicejet sucks...i too took a Spicejet flight from Kolkata-Bangalore. It was to halt at Hyderabad for an hour and reach Bangalore by 9:30. After we reached hyderabad, we were asked to get off the flight as there was some engine problem, and the flight couldnot take off. They said it would take an hour for the things to set right and we were asked to wait in d hyd airport. They kept shuffling us from one place to another, and it was 11pm and the we were still at the airport. They gave us a Mc. Aloo Tikki and a 30ml water bottle for dinner!!! And finally another spicejet flight had to come from delhi and take us to bangalore!!! We reached Bangalore at 2pm!!!
There is no proper Customer Service!!!
Ya and they asked me to pay extra for my luggage...which was just 23kgs...3kgs more than the allowed kilos.
I am bit surprised at the service provided by Spicejet. With the story above, even I have lost trust in this flight and will not take Spicejet in future. Infact will let all my colleagues and friends aware of the above incidence and ensure they also don't take their service anymore as they have been using their services.

The bit more shocking is their behaviour and customer service and lack of concern towards a passenger in the world of cut throat competition especially in the airline sector.

We all shouldn't let them get away with these kind of nonsense and insensitive apparoach towards their client.

I will request all of you to circuate this to as many people you know so that nobody in future is robbed.

Hope, something positive comes out for Piyush out of this exercise and SPICEJET is taken to task which will give some confidence to normal people like us in the system.
They are continuously proving themselves...that are really worst airline service...don't trust these SPICE JET..i will not travel by spice jet...and request all collegues to not to take spice jet...SHAME ON YOU SPICE JET..
We should raise our voice and show them the consumer power. SPICE JET sham on you. I will tell all my contacts not travel by spice jet anymore. We do understand that mistake may happen but you should help your customer till satisfactory level specially if they are female. This is not at all expected.
This is shocking!! to heard about irresponsiblity of the spicejet .I have lost trust in this flight and will not take Spicejet in future.Infact I will tell all my contacts not travel by spice jet anymore.
I am also robbed and cheated by Spice Jet - I travelled by SG 912 on 5/2/11 and my baggage stolen / robbed by Spice jet . I booked tckt to attend my urgent business deal at Rajkot and Jamnagar . I found at Ahemdabad Air port that the baggaged - against # SG0 530614 was not there and their offical also behaved very rudly with me and my family member . I tried to know about status of my bags but they even not care to answer me sarisfactorily. Apart for that We met AIR PORT Aurhority at Ahemdabad and submitted written complaint about our incident.
Based on my experiance - I can share that this is FULLY PLANNED - CREAM CLASS ROBBING CHANNEL AND SPICE JET PEOPLE ARE TAKING UNDUE ADVANTAGE TO TICKING POLICY AT THE TIME OF TICKET BOOKING ABOUT COMPENSATION GROUND. ( [protected]@ RS. 200 PER KG OF BAGAGGE). I am seriously looking to take appropirate action by the help of The H'onable Court. I invite all viewer and reader such victim to suggest / guide me for further .My email is :[protected]@gmail.com
Guys its a sheer waste of time posting here as you can see SPICE JET People are not concerned with our problems, god knows how they got best airline award 3rd time in a row may be with the help of some under the table setting .

Every one is fed up with SPICEJET services and they are not bothered to take care of people's problem.

                              Dear DGCA Team,

I feel cheated by Spice Jet and am completely dejected by their unprovoked cancellation of my Chennai - Delhi - VNS Ticket (PNR:F4F2RS). Flight No SG 312 / SG 114 for 28th Nov from Chennai. I have booked this ticket 4 months in Advance on 13th Aug 2014 for travel on 28th Nov on wedding of my sister with my family. We have been left high and dry and are left with no option as all train tickets are full now and flight tickets in other airlines are now priced 3 times our originally booked fares. I in the below mail have requested for rescheduling in some of their alt aircraft or any other airlines but they have not responded till now. I and my family are deeply hurt and pained by this development and our pain only gets compounded by the apathy shown by Spice Jet now. Thus we have been left with no option but to write to you who being a regulator I feel could take some steps to save customers like me from this organized fraud by Spice Jet where they instigate customers to book tickets in advance then enjoy
the money and then cancel the flight and delay the refund. This is absolute Sham and the airline should pay for it not the poor gullible customer. Thus please help me if you can now and if tomorrow you can get me booked on some alternate flight to even Delhi if not Varanasi on 27/28/29 Nov I still will be able to Salvage some of my family reunion after years. I will make some train or road or alt flight arrangements from Delhi to VNS on my own. Please help me, I have done everything right, booked tickets in time, paid airline the amount they wanted as per their terms (non refundable) and everything else after that. Its not my fault and I should not pay for it. Atleast they should honour the promises (read tickets) they have booked either in alt flight in their company or any other airline.
I do not deserve this. Please help.

unfortunate that no one from Spice Jet informed me of the cancellation

                              Hi,

I booked my flight through spice jet on 6th November from Lucknow to Delhi for 14th December via Flight 448.

I got a message today, that is, 5th December, after the month of booking, my flight got cancelled due to being non operational. This is height o[censored]nprofessional behaviour on Spicejet part. The solution they provided is refund amount. When i bought ticket i got it for 2200 and now tickets are for 5100. This was just not expected from Spicejet. Height of irresponsibility. Being customer, it is not my fault when flight is cancelled by airline. Kindly help.. Neither they rerouted me to other airline, as they said they are not flying for whole 1 month between Lucknow to Delhi, nor they got me a new ticket, as prices are now increased. Why should I bear extra expenses when its Spice jet 's fault.

Please I expect your support through all this. This is my number: [protected].

                              Regards,

                                To whomever it may concern,

Recently i had a flight booked for my mother boarding at Kolkata,
                                Airline PNR- Z7SVCF
                                Flight number -SG521
                                Departure Time - Jan. 9, 2011 10:40 Hrs
She arrived at the Spice Jet check in point at the terminal at around 10.05 HRS. She was told by the ground crew to go in for security clearance and they did not enter the check in time then. When she returned a bit lost as there is no separate counter for Spice Jet inside the terminus, they put the check in time as 10.19 and made her no show. She requested her to be accommodated in next flight but despite availability she was denied accommodation.

Few Points that i would like to raise here..
1)Ground staff had a point that she has arrived late but was it not possible to expedite and send a staff if need be to expedite the check in considering that she was alone.
                                2) I called customer support [protected] to see if she can be accommodated on subsequent flights by taking some penalty charges but i was suggested to pay amount 18000 and change which in effect is as good as purchasing a new ticket. I also mentioned that she is not a frequent traveler. They registered complain(complain number - 88203) Had it been a frequent flier, one would have got the security clearance on priority even by arriving 30 minutes before flight.
3)Customer relation called me and said it is not possible to accommodate on another flight. What is very astonishing and sad that despite mentioning that Kolkata was a stopover and not hometown for my mother they refused the request. If i would have called a day before and requested for changing the flight,it would have been agreed to. So why not this way.
I understand that she was delayed due to traffic and cab driver, but even ground crew were surprisingly very stubborn.

On general people have to check in atleast 45 minutes before flight but it used to be 30 minutes. But in some cases as it happens here, she was travelling alone and not a senior citizen but i did mention to the customer support that she is in a unfamiliar place and not a frequent traveler, was it not possible to accommodate one seat when you have seats available .
I have tried to emphasize on inconvenience and inflexibility and stubborn nature of the whole process here. I had a feedback regarding the Spice Jet that the experience has not been very good for some travelers, but somehow i reluctantly chose this one time. I think it very much proves those feedback as very true in nature.

We flew Spice Jet 604 from Kolkatta to n Delhi on 02/jan/2011 at 7.30am PNR:- H9FQLB.
When collecting our baggage at Delhi the wheel of our Delsey suitcase had bee ripped out and was missing. The cloth aroiund it too was damaged.

The spice jet customer relations have offered Rs.500 for it. It is not sufficient as the two wheels have to be matched and also since the cloth is damaged , it has to be replaced as the suitcase will lose its strength.

What to do n how to go about it. I have told them to keep the money n get my suitcase repaired.

I am not sure whom to address this email but here goes a summary about how I was victimized today by Spice-Jet a renowned airlines being operated in India and fools like me opting for it.

My flight was supposed to leave Kolkata Netaji Subhash Airport at 5.05 pm for Bangalore. I was there at 4:15 pm to get the flight. People who travel frequently must know that this time is much more sufficient to board a flight completing all formalities even in case of international flights.

All of a sudden I was told that the boarding pass counter has been closed and I am not allowed to get in.The staff sitting in the outside counter of the airport( a literate lady) said that the flight has not yet left but I am not allowed to get inside. When asked for reason she said she is allowed to say only this much by her godfather who was invisible. After much hassle I managed to get a receipt which says may be I can get a return. In order to keep my illiteracy with myself I returned to a different counter and bought a ticket of Indigo and returned home.

Now the question is who is the person who is actually going to listen to this incident and take some action. Or like many other proud Bengali or proud Indians I will have to think that this is a real god-forsaken land with all thieves trying to maintain a process where anything can go wrong anytime and things will actually be controlled by their whims and impulses.

I feel ashamed of myself to be called as a people from this pathetic place where in-spite of having enough money you will be able to do nothing since these fu#$%rs believe that its their rule that can prevail.
I am not here to change anybody, but I believe that there might some probability of getting somebody who can speak or who does his or her job.

To all, stop becoming happy when terms like "low-fare" airlines are highlighted. Trust me its so low that it will never take you in air, rather you will end up being a fool like me.

I am really looking forward to somebody, a real human to come forward and speak.

                                        Ayan
