Ugly incident at the Spicejet Flight No. 214 from Bagdogra to Kolkata on 14.10.2021

1. I am Jai Narayan Gupta, Chartered Accountant, and I am the Statutory Auditor of West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) appointed by the CAG. I was returning Kolkata by Spicejet Flight No. 214 from Bagdogra on 14.10.2021 from some audit work of WBSEDCL at North Bengal.

2. The boarding was done at 2.30pm instead of scheduled time of 3.00 pm. Thereafter, the pilot announced that there was some obstruction on the runway and the flight may be delayed. There was no air-conditioning. The passengers were sitting upto 3.45 pm. In 1.25 hours, the suffocation aggravated. Some small children became acutely restless. About 15 passengers sitting in the first 10 rows were pleading for some respite, even by providing some drinking water etc. There was announcement by the air hostess that they have been asked to be stationed with seat belt and cannot help. This induced a sort of agitation among the passengers. There was one doctor also sitting on seat no. 6B as declared by him and he also supported the passengers and pleaded with the airhostess to be considerate and provide basic amenities.

3. Passenger at seat no. 6D was also vocal. Myself was also vocal. I was sitting on seat No. 8A.

4. At last, at 3.45, the pilot announced that flight would take off within 5 minutes. The Flight landed at Kolkata at about 4.45 pm.

5. Just after landing, one passenger, named as Nancy sitting at seat No.9E was detained by the ground staff of Spicejet at the complaint of the airhostess presumably at the instance of the pilot. Nancy pleaded that she was not sitting at seat No. 9E. One more passenger, Mr Singh was also named in the complaint. Many persons of the Spicejet gheroaed the lady and made her immobilised. She has co-passengers with her. I also joined them realising the atrocities being meted out to the lady. The spicejet people called the armed security personnel and also West Bengal Police to give the impression that they have caught some terrorist. They made a formal complaint and asked the lady to sign on the dotted lines under coercion. The co-passengers and myself also made hue and cry on the atrocities being meted out to passengers.

6. Ultimately, on this festive day of Mahanavami, the lady was allowed to leave the airport at 6.30 pm with her small children, who were also worried what was happening and were without any food or water for so much time.

May good sense prevail in the mind of Spicejet people, who shamelessly can afford to be so rigid, cruel and irresponsible and imposing unnecessarily in a service industry. I think, Spicejet should mend its ways and means since Tata have also come in big way.

    I booked return flight ticket from DXB-AMD on 09/10/2021 from Spicejet website. Payment was successfully done and I received the transaction message from my Bank. The website page just kept scrolling and showed a pop up server timed out. I confirmed with my bank that the transaction was successfully done and debited from my card, I kept waiting for the booking confirmation or itinerary details email but I didn't received. When reaching out...

      Some amount is still pending in credit shell.After taking all my account details spicejet is saying there is some technical error for which amount is not credited in my account.They are having this technical error since the last 6 months .Just passing time so that I don't follow up and stop asking for refund.

        My PNR number is F61BFL, I had booked my tickets for November 19th 02:15 HRS flight from Dubai to Mumbai. I booked this flight as I had an medical appointment with a Doctor in Mumbai at 11 AM. And also it is my Mothers 75th Birthday so wanted to give her a surprise. Now they rescheduled this flight to Nov 19 23:40. Which totally defeats both my purposes of Doctors appointment as well as my Mothers birthday. When I rescheduled my Flight to November 18 23:40 flight for me and my Wife I was charged a fare difference of INR 14, 960. Calling their call center numbers is like waiting for 35-50 minutes on an International call. Their chat bot or whatsapp bot is useless as they do not have any option to connect with a human agents. My point here is that when Airline has rescheduled their flight then why should I be charged the fare difference. I seek refund of the fare difference charged to me.

          I have booked spicejet flight of early morning for 12oct'2021 because my meeting held on 11 o'clock on 12oct'2021.

          i want to draw your kind attention please my booking has been revised by airlines from 6:15am to 22:40pm. how can i attend my meeting this is totally loss for me because i have already booked my return ticket also.

          please help me in this regards and changed my airline so that it is easy to attend the meeting.

            I was travelling from DBR to STV on 8th October 2021, PNR-IITCTE/SG,
            Travelled through flight SG 694 and reached BLR, at BLR I was waiting in lounge for SG 3425, for boarding I have reached on Gate No. 19 at 1810hrs but gate was closed, at gate No. 21 shore staff said that they tried to call me but my phone is not reachable "false claim I was in network all the time" now she can't do any thing because of shortage of staff as she have to board another flight.
            Spice jet pushed me out from the airport and I have forced to buy another earliest flight that is Indigo 6E 465 worth of Rs. 7173/-.
            Kindly refund .

              PNR No. AA10BGC

              We have a flight for Tuesday I.e., 12 morning from Bangalore to Delhi which has gotten rescheduled to 12th Night. This is the second reschedule that has happened.

              It is important for us to reach by 12th morning. Unable to reach customer service. It is unfortunate that an airline of this caliber is causing such trouble.

                  We booked flight from hyderabad to mangalore and back with sG4003 AND SG4004... PNR NUMBERS TRT2SH AND ZW7MKT. within three or four days... we received the message that the flights are cancelled. We are surprised how the flights will be cancelled 22 days before.. If you are not in a position to run the flights...please don't open the bookings...Because of this we are not only loosing our hardearned money and loosing our precious time... THIS IS VERY BAD ON YOUR PART. Due to your inefficiency, we are suffering... and paying extra amount to flight other booking. Please pay the full amount...as it is totally your own problem.. Don't steal our hard earned money in the name of penalties and service charges. ... This is not the way to earn the money...There are other beautiful ways to earn the money.

                    I booked two air tickets of Spice Jet for return journey from Mumbai-Goa and back for September 07, 2021 and September 12, 2021. Due to some unavoidable circumstances I had to cancelled the tickets and got message about refund of amount of Rs 1, 278/- & Rs 1, 388/-. But, till October 09, 2021 I have no received a single rupee. I hope I will receive my pending amount soon.

                        I am trying to call you since two three days u guys hardly bother to call back plus u rescheduled my flight when I m going for web check in it showing some problem again plus I didn't get my boarding pass it showed exceeded the attempts contact airline how to reach you pathetic service ...you just give trouble to customers

                          I was doing web check-in for my flight SG-265 from Chennai to Delhi. During check-in my money got deducted from my account but then spicejet.com showed error and brought me to previous page and told me to pay again for check-in. What about my previous money?

                            Respected Sir,
                            I would like to inform you that I have purchased Kolkata to Pakyong Flight for the date of 13/10/2021 & ( my PNR is OY1RMC ). My booking was done on 03/10/2021. But suddenly a message came to my E Mail ID [protected]@gmail.com on 05/10/2021 at 11.31 am and is mentioned that your cancellation Booking has been successfully done. I am surprised & have contacted with Spicejet Customer Care. The Customer Care tells me that cancellation request has been done from my end at 8.09 am on 04/10/2021. But it is false & I never requested for cancellation. No OTP came neither to my Phone nor my E Mail ID. It is Fraud Case.
                            I have already complained to Cyber Cell, Kolkata Police for investigation. I shall also complain to Consumer Forum against Spicejet. Although Customer Care assure me that they will try best to resume this Flight ticket in favour of me.
                            I therefore request you to take necessary steps to solve my issue as early as possible. Otherwise I along with my wife & Baby Child will suffer a lot of problem as we go for Medical Tratment. I shall be grateful to you if you investigate the Fraud Case & give strong punishment against Culprit.

                              Flight Nos SG254 & SG292. Both flights have been cancelled. Requested refund on 4/9/21. On request by sending so many emails to customer care & [protected]@spicejet, Nodal Officer informed by email on 20/9/21 the refund will be initiated within 2-4 days and within 10days amount will be credited to my bank account. But I am sorry to inform till date refund not credited. Therefore I will be obliged if you arrange for the immediate refund my amount & credit in my bank accounts without further delay.

                                Incident: I booked mine ticket for Dubai, after confirmation email of Spicejet, they wrote me on email, with in 96 Hrs i can get done mine RT PCR Test, for flying to dubai, I done mine test with in 96 hrs and visited to airport counter for Checkin. At checking Counter Spicejet People told this 96 hrs report is not acceptable, they need RT-PCR report with in 48 hrs. they denied to fly me . and not refund mine money also, i done several emails and calls, but there is no quick response. I need to travel to dubai on mine employment visa, It, s question of future carrier as well as i been economical weak also. I need money. I interacted to Ms Monika at airport spicejet counter she told she can, t do any thing, call to customer care number and ask them for refund they will, refund you. I called to Customer care same time and spoke to Mr Randhir Kumar, He asked me to put email to SpiceJet, to get refund . I done that also, but i am feeling helpless now,

                                Resoluation: A humble request kindly process mine full refund, I need money very badly, It, s big amount for me

                                  I am nitishs shukla, i booked my flight from kolkata to kanpur for 05/10/2021 flight no. SG3222 PNR No. PF8RUQ, As the boarding time is till 10:45 i was on the stairs of to gate no 103 when they call off and as i was only a minute late, grond staff anushka mullick denied me to board the flight and her manager too anushka showed her arrogant and rude behaviour for my requesys.as i am not a big businessman a loss of flight and money means a lot to me but still i am lodging this complain for refund i want an strict action to be takrn against anushka mullick and her manager as they can help me to board the flight imstead they denied me to board the fligjt..which is a big loss to a medium family member like me.kimdly take strict action aginst them so that any needy should not face any problem like that in future

                                      I had booked 5 tickets including an Infant having PNR no. A8RZHC for myself and family on dated 1-Oct-2021 to visit Srinagar from Patna for tourism purposes.
                                      I have faced a terrible experience at the spice jet counter at Patna airport when unethically they ask for an extra ticket for my infant kid despite I have given them the age proof. which is under age of 2 years. initially, they ask me 17k after so many arguments finally, they charges Rs 7653 of PNR no. BE169A which is unacceptable.
                                      I request you to refund the money which they charged for my infant kid ASAP.
