Hello,
From Nov 2012 to April 2014, My Salary Account was in Standard Chartered Bank and I was using SCB Credit Card. Everything was going fine until the issues started in DEC 2013- JAN 2014. I forgotten my user Id & password of my SCB account and even after my several request, the issue was not resolved for months. These issues frustrated me lot because I was not able to do any fund transfer through online not even to do online payment for credit card. However, the delay was not due to my mistake but it was due to poor customer support of Standard Chartered. During those days, 90% of my time, I was travelling to out station (In the remote areas) and I was not able to see any SC ATM to deposit the Cheque also. I had only choice of making payment through online and I was stuck.
In JAN 2014, I got transferred to Vizag from Kolkata and there is no SCB office or ATM in Vizag.
On 11th FEB 2014, I had written to SCB Customer Care "I am simply surprised how you people are sitting so relaxed for last 2 months without solving a customer's issue, if I don't get my issues resolved in next 24 hours, I will switch over my salary account to other Bank account "
But even after this kind of mail, the same was not resolved and at last I switched my salary account to other Bank. Meanwhile, SCB kept putting late fine and charges on me, Should we allow SCB to make money in unethical way?
Keeping the issues which I was facing due to SCB; I preferred to switch over my salary account to other bank account and on 9th April 2014 itself, I did online payment of INR 20, 000.00. As per my expectation it was the settlement amount which I paid to close the card.
Today on 26th FEB 2015, after discussion with SCB Dues Department, I again paid INR 33, 070.00 to SCB for closing the card. Should I be responsible to pay this money ? So who will be accountable for this delay SCB or I?
Now and In fact, I am really disappointed to say that because of poor customer support from SCB, I could not be able to make the credit card payment on time and I have enough evidence for same. I have all the communication details and I want to take legal action against SCB for making money in the unethical way.
