I am being sent unnecessary emails of payment statement for annual charges on a card that I have never used . I called the customer service and found that my card is already deactivated. Then why am I being asked for this unnecessary money ? The amount keeps increasing month on month. The customer service is very impatient and not ready to listen to any concern. Very harsh behaviour and irresponsible attitude from the customer service agents. I asked the customer service agent why I am not being contacted by the bank even for a reminder when I did not pay the first bill. They say that they don't have such a practice. My question is, "will the bank keep quiet and keep sending me payment statements to me even if I don't pay for the entire life ?" The answer to this by the customer service agent is, "after a while the bank's collection department will contact me". What is "after a while" ? Is it after the amount grows huge ? So that they can grab my money? I need an answer to this unethical practice.

I asked for Consolidated Credit Card Statement card ending with XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-5512 for last 2 years in excel format. They sent me 33 separate emails duplicate statement for each month. The issue was opening 33 pdf's and putting password and then you cannot copy the data. I thought i can open 33 files and try to consolidate but fun starts when i tried opening first and could copy the data because it is highly encrypted . I would like to tell them this is a financial data of mine and i have full rights to ask for consolidated .

Respected Sir, This is to bring to your kind attention that I Vishal bhatnagar from jaipur, used to hold SCB Credit Card no: 5491.2456.0026.5900.issue date 2012 Yesterday, I received various calls from the Landline number by a men named anupam from SCB FRAUD & LEGAL Department office location Mumbai, on my company's Boardline no. The calls are regarding the collection of dues. The worst part of it is as mentioned:- using abusive language and threatening to harm me physically. harassing me and insulting me by calling everybody at my office as a result diturbing everybody in my office. calling my business clients abruptly, with whom I have only professional relation. threatening to go to any extend for recovery. calling at odd hours and continuously calling one after another with an abnormal interval of 2 minutes. As per the RBI guidelines all such actions are unlawful. I would like to ask is this a norm of calling for collecting dues, being a standard method and manner of such a big Bank like yours? I have been challenged by her and being told that I will be insulted in my office. He will continuously call my colleagues at my office and share all my credit information with them. I don’t understand how can she do this? How can she share my credit information with a third party? Why should they be held liable for my fault? This is height of making somebody annoyed. My inability to pay and my patience should not be taken for granted, it’s my appeal. It was totally immoral, unethical, and unprofessional and had no signs of a civilized person or any kind of etiquettes. Let me inform you that the turmoil after attending the call was so immense, that we decided not to take any call from any third person/ agent calling on behalf of SCB card division. I am very much available at [protected]. I am attending all my calls. If found someone from DSA or third party calling will be disconnected immediately. Rather I would like to speak to someone designated from your bank only. Sincerely Vishal bhatnagar

I strongly condemn the fraudulent practices of StanChart bank. I am also a victim of this bank and suffering bad CIBIL score. They make false promises and trap you into this fraud. In 2005 they offered me a credit card and promised it is free for one year and I don't need to pay annual fees. But, I had called customer care to close my card before one year and on their advice I have cut the card and thrown it.To my surprise in 2013 they called me and said I have a due of around 50 thousand rupees despite the fact that I have closed it in 2006 itself. Now, they are asking me the proof of closing the card which I don't have now.And today, 18-Aug-14 they called me and informed me of 70, 000 dues. But they are not ready to provide the transaction details also about my spending on this stupid card which is unethical.

Dear Sir/Madam, I had taken one standard chartered credit card in 2011 & used it till October 2012.I had credit card limit of 20, 000 rupees, in September 2012 I have overused the card that is beyond the limit & same was intimated by standard chartered ban to me in monthly statement & told to pay the total amount immediate. I had the paid more than due amount at that time & called customer care to close the credit card as they were not increasing my credit limit, standard charterd even confirmed me on phone that they have closed the card as i had paid the full amount. But in october 2012 they again issued the monthly statement with over limit card usage fees with intrest which i had refused to pay as my credit was already closed after making due payment, now from october 2012 till date they are issuing me statement to pay around 8000 ruppes but i have refused to pay them & told customer care many times that you have closed my credit card in october 2012 then why i will pay you this amount. No body from bank had contacted me from past 2 months . i need personal loan from home renovation urgently but whn i applied for it ever bank is saying that you have low CIBIL score due to credit card default case, i was totally surprised how a bank can damage CIBIL score for individual for theeir own interest. Now i am planning to take standard charted bank to court if they will not resolve this issue at earliest.

I am a credit card holder of your bank last four digits are 6474.Now since the market is slack down payments are been tough to be done but still i am trying to at least pay the minimum amount..Now since week i was busy in social ( My Uncles Death) so was not able to make the payments... Now your banks recovery person somebody calls as a name of Diwakar, he does not have manners to talk to ladies or old persons .. He is using such a abusive languages which a standard chartered employ will never use...I am using your card since 8 years.
I will be paying the amount ...but if this call continues coming to me and at my home that will force me to stop the payment.. its does not allow you bank employee to talk nonsense.so i request you to please update to your employees...We know the tricks and turns but i want to be loyal till the limit.. don't force us to take this matter to legal...all the calls from today will be recorded...

Once Again telling you The payment will be done by 20th of this month...stop the persons like diwaker or whatsoever his name is to dial a call at my home...

Hi, I have a credit card # [protected] for SC bank which i was using for almost all the transaction. I maintained a good credit history and spent more than 5 lacs in a calender year. But in March, 2014, SC imposed a late fee on my credit card without any reason. They have neither sent any bill (neither hard not soft copy) nor any sms for due amount. I have called their customer care to revert it but they did not respond back. I stopped paying the bills unless they revert back the late charges and they are imposing late payment now as well. Now they have entered defaulter entry in CIBIL as well. I am threaten by their recovery agents to pay the amount. I am shocked to see SC's unprofessionalism towards their loyal customers. I want to file a complaint against SC and need their assistence to close this matter asap.

Dear customer, I would like to suggest you to don't use the Credit Card of "Standard Chartered Bank". It's services is very bad for customer in comparison to other vendor like HDFC, ICICI. The bank Standard Chartered doesn't provide the weboff facilities for customer if you have late by mistake. They don't give the flexibility to the customer as comparison to other vendors. SC is not supportive. You may choose the another Credit Card provider. I have used the other card as well like HDFC. HDFC is very nice. Thanks Javed

Even after on time payment, Bank has charged me late payment charges. I have written a mail to Customer care and they have replied saying Bank has arranged to reverse the late payment charge and it will reflect in next statement which never happen. Apart from that, I have made extra payment for same moth but again this is also not reflecting in next month's statement. When asked again about above 2 problems to customer care. I didn't get any reply from Customer care even after n no of follow-up. My Card no: [protected]

                                        Dear Sir,
This has reference to Standard Chartered Principal Nodal Officer, Mr Sourav Bhattacharyya providing false documents pertaining to the year 2005 for Standard Chartered Credit Card supposedly generated in 2012, to The Hon. Banking Ombudsman, RESERVE BANK of India against my COMPLAINTS.
Mr Sourav Bhattacharyya has not responded to my mails given below for your records.
Mr Sourav Bhattacharyya refuses to meet in person at his STANDARD CHARTERED BANK Office at 31 Chowringhee Road, Kolkata and you are also unable to get an appointment from him.
Mr Sourav Bhattacharyya, very smartly (cunningly) not sent me letter Ref: 01/14/094353/RB/RBI dated February 18, 2014 addressed to Hon Banking Ombudsman despite a copy marked to me.
M/s Standard CHARTERED BANK has not only mentally harassed me but its officials have humiliated me. I would request your good Offices to look into the matter and ensure that I get a just compensation for all the harassment & humiliation.
                                        Thanking you,

                                        Dear Ms Lakshmi L,

This is with reference to mail dated Fri, Jan 3, 2014 at 1:45 PM, with Ref : 01/14/010244/SP/CRD of Ms Lakshmi L, Officer, Customer Care, Standard Chartered Bank Credit Card which is given below. As regards to Madam's reply, I would like to state the following -

                                        (1) I did not receive any Standard Chartered Credit Card as mentioned in my 28 mails from 09/08/2013 till date. Your answer below is something not in line with my question. Secondly Ms Lakshmi L states that - " We understand that the credit card dispatch was not intimated by you in the year 2013". Kindly note that the said Card was supposed to have been received by October 2012 as you have deducted Rs 842/70 from my Standard Chartered S.B.A/c on 26/10/12 . The above clearly proves that Standard Chartered Credit Card was not dispatched to me and you have wrongly deducted from my S.B.A/c without my consent and then branded a liar by Ms Nancy of Customer Care, Standard Chartered Credit Card dept from Bangalore.

                                        (2) The question of receiving SMS does not arise as I had not received Standard Chartered Credit Card.

                                        (3) The response was extremely late as my first mail was sent to you on 09/08/13 and after that I have send 27 mails. Also mails were sent through Internet Banking also.

                                        (4) You were forced to reverse the charges debited in the Card as I have received no Standard Chartered Credit Card and you had wrongfully deducted from my S.B.A/c without my consent also.

Kindly note that I will take this issue to its logical end for necessary compensation as Standard Chartered Credit Card fraudulently deducted Rs 842.70 from my Standard Chartered Savings Bank without my having received the said Standard Chartered Credit Card and also deduction was made without my consent despite my having send several mails from 09/08/13.

                                        Yours truly,
                                        Bhupendra Singh Taragi

I have been receiving stereotyped replies of the following type as given below [(a) to (g)] despite Ms Tamilarasi; Ms Prithi Shalini; Ms Manjula N; Ms Naznee Syed & Ms Padmavathy Bai sending at least 2 mails or more without resolution of my 6 queries as mentioned below {Nos (1) to (6)}.

                                        (a) We are concerned to note that we have given you a cause to complain on our services. We regret any inconvenience caused to you in this regard.

                                        (b) We have noted the contents of your mail. We wish to inform you that your complaint has already been registered via reference number[protected]- and we are in the verge of processing your request. We will revert to you on completion of the same. We request you to bear with us in the interim and thank you for your patience.

                                        (c) We wish to inform you that considering the nature your request are taking little extra time. We assure you that we have assigned a dedicated resource to complete the request and also assure you that the complaint is being given the due attention it deserves. Our officer shall get in touch with you shortly and request you to bear with us till then.

                                        (d) We observe from our records that your card ending 4291 has been cancelled with effect from September 27, 2013. On date there is nil balance in your card ending 4291.

                                        (e) We would like to inform you that the annual fee debited to your card account is a basic product price. The same is debited to your card account for the various facilities extended on your card account. It is as per the TERMS and conditions and schedule of service charges applicable for your card facility.

                                        (f) As a service gesture we have already reversed the annual fee of Rs.750.00 along with the service tax debited to your card account. This credit reflects in your October 2013 statement.

                                        (g) We note from our records that the credit balance availed in your card account has been refund to you.

It is clear from above stereotype answers and references that you are buying time only and are in no mood of accepting your mistake on deduction of Rs 842/70 from my S.B.A/c in Standard Chartered Bank without my having received the said Standard Chartered Credit Card nor any information about the same vide SMS/Mail/Credit Card Statement or any proof of receipt and activation of said Standard Chartered Credit Card. Moreover your personnel had the audacity of branding me a liar ( Ms Nancy & another Customer Care Representative) and saying that they have proof of receipt of said Credit Card. Kindly explain as to why you reimbursed my Rs 842/70 if you had proof of receipt of said Credit Card.

However my queries, as mentioned below, have not been answered even after sending 28 mails from 09/08/13 till date -

                                        (1) Why did Standard Chartered Credit Card not intimate me about a Credit Card been dispatched to me vide mail/SMS/Letter in the year 2012 and 2013. ????

                                        (2) Why were there no phone calls/SMS/ Credit Card Statement made/sent in the year 2012 & 2013 regarding the Standard Chartered Credit Card ????

                                        (3) Why was no action taken to my mails dated 09/08/13; 19/08/13; 21/08/13; 24/08/13; 28/08/13 and also to mails sent by Internet Banking.?????

                                        (4) Why was Rs 842/70 deducted from my S.B.A/c without my consent despite my having send mails dated 09/08/13; 19/08/13; 21/08/13; 24/08/13; 28/08/13 and to Internet Banking intimating about non - receipt of the Standard Chartered Credit Card and enquiring as to who has activated the said Credit Card???? Also no suitable reply has been received from your end as to why no SMS/Credit Card Statement was sent prior to August'13 and then why was it sent in August'13 when there was no transactions (as per your reply vide mail) ????

                                        (5) Why have you reversed Rs 842.70 when Ms Nancy and some other Customer Care representative have clearly stated that I was a liar as I have received Standard Chartered Credit Card as per Standard Chartered Credit Card records???? Why the sudden change of heart and mind.????

                                        (6) Who is responsible for the mental trauma that I had to undergo for deduction of amount from my S.B.A/c without my consent and also to be branded a liar by Ms Nancy and your Customer Care representative???? What about the time and efforts made by me to send mails to you all to which no action was taken?????

Kindly note that I will pursue this case to its logical end and will leave no stone unturned to get natural justice from Standard Chartered Credit Card Department.

                                        Yours truly,
