SCB Credit Cards.... No support, No transparency... Most irresponsible Customer care Team

Complaint reference numbers: 26704344, 26719696, 6333996, [protected]

SC bank guys doesnt have shame it seems, if I call to the customer care everytime call gets disconnects or they say network down,
I dont know whether you guys knows english or intentionally you dont wanto to reply.

I have requested for the card enhancement package cancellation few months back, In this I recieved old vouchers where the hotels mentioned was invalid(sent me old/ not updated vouchers). associate said, she will send the updated vouchers.

I havent recieved any updated vouchers and I sent back the existing vouchers to Bangalore SC office based in Koramangala. Till now the cancellations not happened and every day I am getting remeinder SMS, calls. what is happening I dont know. Already my bill has grown to 5k. which I am not going to pay.

Take some serious action on this. This is why people wont trust such banks. Moreover I called 1000times and sent 1000mails to SC but no reply.

Please sue this kind of banks.

Standard Chartered Bank Credit Card — Non cancellation of credit card

Despite my request vide my e-mail dated 5 July 2011 for cancellation of my credit card [protected] which I have not used in any point of time, the bank has not cancelled the same and on the other hand it has gone on serving me bills for CPP and Product referrals which are not upto mu requirements.Please help me cancelling the card.

    I applied for CC sometime back, there is a document pending from my end which by the way the person who got the form never asked me, Call center people called twice to check for documents no one came, A guy calls me and tells me WHY I didn't gave the document, I was furious as to how he can ask me such question. It's ur responsibility to collect all docs, ALSO twice you guys call me and do not send person. Do you think my family members have nothing to do besides sitting home and waiting for someone to come and collect the documents.

    I don't need your card and I shall make sure to put this on every place where I see stan chart

      i am received mail & Call from shell petroleum & standard chartered bank about winning prize 800000 GBPS . he required my detail so i am sending my detail to him. he tell to me within five working days i am received my winning price. after two days he called me & tell on monday you received your payment. tuesday he mail & tell to me payment stopped by United kingdom revenue service regarding fund tranfer required 548 dollor s for payment transfer . but i am tell to him i am not afford this amount we are agree for 100 dollors amount . i am pay fully amount in him account no. which are given by us. but 15 days passed away i am not received any payment from his side.
      please i know that how you can help me & why he is used name of Shell Petroleum , Standard Chartered Bank & Reserve bank of India . why this organisation take action against him.

        This is manthan Patel from Ahmedabad, i having Credit card bank of Standard Chartered " titanium " and as per term and condition any fuel transaction i got 2.5% cash back. but in last bill two transaction they didn't deducted my cash back offer when i contact to cunstomer care at same bank technical persone said me it's only available under if i use min 500rs for fuel.

        but i did same transaction in past and here is the details for past transaction under which i got 2.5% cash back.

        "Thank you for using StanChart Credit card no. ending 8378 on 11/12/12 for INR 220.00. For easy EMI option on amounts above INR 5000 , call[protected]T&C apply"

        I m getting always my 2.5% cashback deduction on fuel transaction but not getting this time on march month bill.
        Two transactions from March month , one from IVR enterprise 211.24 second stadium services 310.00 rs
        If you review my first paragraph of this email which is mentioned clear below 500 rupee fuel transactions provide me 2.5 % cashback in bill.
        Your sales executive saying its available only on 500 ot higher amount. That's not the actual offer.Its available on any fuel,telephone,electricity bill with 2.5% cashback whatever amount user using.


        When i visited Bank barnch at ahmedabad location no physical person available to handle this request need to call their customer care i called technicians but he leep put me on hold and saying he is not able to find that only figure which was i made on dec 2012 for 220 rs and he diconnect my call.

        I allmost spend 2 hours on call still bank people not able to accept my request.

        Please help on this.

        If required then i will provided my previous bill.

        Standard Chartered Cards — Complaint about Cashback

        Hello Sir/Madam,

        I have you Manhattan Platinum Card. I have used this card in MENS AVENUE on 21/11/09 and I have got cash back of 135.00 Rs.,
        But I have used same card in same store MENS AVENUE on 01/12/09, I haven't got cash back from our side.
        Can you please let me know, why I have not getting cash back for same store?

        I have mailed you 2 times for above issue, but no one responding me.

          I am not at all satisfied with your reply . You are just escaping from the main issue . Your statement with respect to above mentioned card is null and void .

          Please find attached Credit Card Statement Analysis for your kind consideration . Following discrepancies are observed as per Credit Card Statement Analysis

          1. I have not used the card since 6th July , 2010

          2. As per statement for the period 6.2.10 to 6.3.10 , you have mentioned Rs. 22449.48 as previous purchase . What do you mean by previous purchase . Please furnish me the entire details. As per my record I have made a purchase of Rs. 23,233.87 only .

          3. Unrealistic Financial Charges: Rs. 1,01,172.88 ( Not acceptable )

          a) Late Charges Rs.21700.00

          b) Interest Rs.63972.88

          c) Over limit Charges Rs. 15,500.00

          Total Rs. 1,01,172.88



          When I have stopped using the card since july 2010 , you have no right to charge any amount towards over limit charges after July 2010. Interest amount is also not acceptable to me . You have no right to charge any amount towards Late charges as baring from few occasions I have made timely payment . More ever you had intentionally deposited the cheques after the due date to enjoy the late charges.



          4. I have made a payment of Rs. 1,03,710/- as on date. ( Which is double the amount of the total outstanding amount shown in your letter dated 23.3.2013.)



          Please stop sending SMS & threatening calls and earnestly request you refund excess amount and issue me a No due Certificate as on 31.3. 2013 at the earliest

            This is regarding a disputed amount on my old standard chartered card , number [protected]. I has disputed the amount of 4999.00 transacted and following the complaint the card was suspended .
            However after receiving my new card from standard chartered bank , number [protected] , the statement dated 28th feb 2013, shows me a previous balance of 4999.00 and a late payment charge of 500 and an interest of 126.38 and a service tax of 89.78 .
            I am given to understand that the proceedings on the disputed amount is taking longer than expected and it has still not settled .
            When i initially called up customer care of the 31st of december 2012 , the bank said they will be taking a minimum of 2 weeks to resolve the issue and now we are 3 months from the complaint and this is yet unsettled .

            On the top of that the customer is being penalized with a late payment fees for a payment she has not done herself .The outcome of the late payment , service tax and interest rate , which i do not intend to pay is my card will be suspended .

            Four months since the dispute occured and the bank is yet to do anything about it . The bank made me run between police stations without any prior information .
            The Bank has no idea in which all cases the police take complaints and what is actual procedure for raising complains .The Police Station informed me that the complain needs to be submitted from the home address of the bank and not my billing address
            So the outcome of this entire episode is i am the suffering customer receiving unending calls from customer care who does nothing about it except calling up and taking complains .
            Please let me know what can i do or should do in this case and what all documents you need to book a case .

              Hi,

              My Card number is [protected].

              There was a fraud transaction on[protected] o[censored]SD 419.99
              I want to know how can Standard Chartered Bank allow such transaction since they are un-authenticated transaction as per RBI Mandate effective 1 May 12.

              Bank should revert this transaction amount to my credit card.
              Also, I raised the alarm immediately after the transaction, so they should have not paid this amount to the merchant unless there is proper investigation.

                I have a credit card with Standard Chartered Bank. They have a very simple way to provide customer service - Their 1800 numbers are out of saervice or do not exist. Their chennai and other office numbers when you dial asks you everything and passes you through automated options - NEVER CAN U REACH A PERSON TO SPEAK WITH. There is no such option. It either locks you out or you can report if your card is stolen. You cannot ask them about a non existant charge they have made on your card by mistake or even wantedly. May be they do not want you to..Such credit card companies and just show off lip service should not be the case. They can close down their great service in INDIA.

                  As per Standard Chartered Bank(SCB) procedure had written the above payment breakup behind the cheque. Even though the cheque got cleared from my bank on 21/12/2012 surprisingly the same was adjusted only in Jan statement that too not per given instructions behind the cheque. Have sent them couple of mails for the correction but they are not willing to listen. Have been getting late payment charges which have not to be shown as per above have cleared the entire outstanding of Rs 11,338 against the Gold Reward card by Vijaya Bank Cheque No. 249577 dated 17/12/2012.

                  Feel this is a new way of SCB to earn interest and harass clients. Even though self have still been making payment as do not want any interest to be charged against the other cards i.e. [protected] Sp. Merchandising Offer & [protected] Instabuy Account.

                  Have tried to make the customer service relation officer aware of the fact about this wrong entrance but without any help. He is not addressing to ther
                  problem but keeps coming with irrelevant response. Do not know whom further to approach as am now mentally harassed with SMS being sent on daily basis for timely payments for which self am not applicable as have already cleared the same. Just for info giving the payment details made
                  to SCB even after this harassment. infact was not even receiving the hard copy statement.

Due to this am charged interest and late payments. Its become a new way for them to harass clients and make money. Please help.

                    I have been charged wrong fee and with interest which has been assured me to refunded back in email with Ref : 02/13/036029.
                    This has never been corrected since last three months and I am keep on getting response like –


                    1. Ref : 04/13/033930/MRR/CRD

                    This is with reference to your e-mail dated April 08, 2013.

                    We would like to inform you that we have already forwarded your request to our
                    concern department for reversal of financial charges. This credit will reflect
                    in your next statement.


                    2. Ref : 02/13/036029 Email -

                    “We would like to inform you that the annual fee debited to your card account is
                    a basic product price. The same is debited to your card account for the various
                    facilities extended on your card account. Considering your long-standing
                    association with us, we have arranged to reverse the annual fee debited to your
                    card ending 6037 along with the corresponding service tax. This credit will
                    reflect in your next statement.”

                      This company posing as Standard Chartered will call if we are interested in Credit Cards. If we show interest then one person will come supposedly from standard chartered for collecting docs. Then they collect doc xeroxes and leave and never revert. Later upon police complain I got to know that they are Creative Networks and supposedly work for standard chartered.

                      Their email is scb.[protected]@gmail.com and no is [protected].

                      Other people have complained about them too on this forum. PLs don't fall for them.

                      I wish I had come across this forum earlier. This female named Banu calls me, after getting the documents, her name changes to Suhana. Frauds! Now I'm following up with SC customer service and wasting my time in all this fuss.

                        Fraudulent Transaction Detected still charged me


                        On Oct 2012, Standard Chartered Bank detected and fraudulent transaction on my credit card. They called me and asked my permission to block the card temporarily. I have stopped using the card since then.
                        Then they charged me for an amount which was not reversed. I made several long telephone calls and countless e mails. It takes them more than one month to reply each mail. Each reply is CAREFULLY AVOIDING the point why they are asking me to I pay for a fraudulent transaction.

                        Each email says, I must pay. This is not funny since I did not make any purchase.
                        I continuously get SMS and mail that I must pay, otherwise they will make some "COLLECTION CALLS". Can anybody explain what kind of threat it is ?
                        I have not spent, so I will not pay. No one does. I am using this card from 1997 and no need to explain to me "TERMS AND CONDITIONS" now.
                        I have redeemed reward points already (I was a heavy user of this credit card). This card still have CR balance on my name and over 10,000 reward points. I am using my other cards since there is no safety as to for what transactions made by whom, they will ask me to pay !

                        I will wait for one more month before hiring a professional and filing a police complaint.

                        Some Automated calls are coming to my number about twice thrice a day repeating the message for payment.

                          SCB asked me not to use my credit card as it was to be replaced with a new one. Firstly, the bank did not inform about the incoming card in time. The Bluedart courier did not give it my brother at my postal address. The courier then sent it my earlier office, Ministry of Finance. At that moment I was busy at ITO, I told him on phone to come next day or after some time. This was on 19th instant. Then on 21st morning I got a call from the courier office, when I I formed him of my new office (Ministry of Defence, Sena Bhavan). The courier man told me to wait for him. I continued waiting for him but he did not turn that day and next day. On Saturday, when I contacted them again I was told that the packet had been returned to the bank. It was a shock to me.

                          On checking with bank, they told me they would send it to me again. I told them to send the same to the bank branch in Chanakyapuri near my office wherefrom I would receive it after showing the necessary ID papers. They promised to send it soon but now after four days I still do not have any information about the despatch. At least, they should have taken action on their promise made on 23rd instant and informed me.

                            I am Using Standard charted Bank Credit card([protected]) With out my Interest they sent once Additional card 4000/- valid

                            to return that card i called with in 2 days to Customer care, executive told that we raised request you will get call back like that i waited 1 month after that i called again

                            This time they shared Address for sending back that kit.

                            I Sent on FEB 2nd 2013 and i waited for to get amount Credit

                            Amount not credited So i called again your Customer care.

                            now your executive telling that I don't get money back you have to pay money completely and you will not get back that kit also back.

                            When am sending that kit executive told amount will be credited now they telling you have to return kit in 30 days from received date so you wont get back money.

                            I called them with in 2 days from kit received date they have voice recording also. but they telling we cant check then why they recording calls.


                            IF you want check my call histories or voice recordings From DECEMBER month to now.

                              Hi,

                              In year 2005 SCB Manhattan Credit card people approached me for Manhattan Card. I applied because this was going to be my first Card. I received the CC with 52000 credit limit and was using it happily. I always used to pay bills on time for more than 2 years.
                              Then in year 2007 I needed some money for personal reason and that too urgently. I approached SCB customer care and they said that I will get the cheque for 72000 in 48 Hours. I needed money urgently and then SCB took 2 weeks to process the loan, in the mean time I got the loan from other bank much before SCB's cheque can reach me. I called customer care and canceled the loan.

                              The next month I started getting bills with loan processing charges applied where as I have not received the loan.

                              I told many a times that when I have not got the loan then why there is charge on my card. I was very much disappointed with the service and decided not to use the card.

                              This has resulted in my name in CIBIL report as defaulter.

                              When I found that my name is in CIBIL, I communicated with the customer care about the same and found that all charges were reverted later but one transaction from the bank was not reverted. The transaction is mentioned below for Rs 621.20

                              Even after multiple communications with the bank's customer care there has been no appropriate response.
                              They are still asking that I need to pay the whole amount.

                              I have the complete communication where they are not able to give the proper response to the questions asked.

                                I am using standard chartered credit card from long time, i am an add on card holder, my wife is primary card holder, Initially i used to get 2 different statements for each card(add on & primary card) but on Feb2013 statement i received statement which shows (at header level) both the cards mentioned on this statement and says "Total Outstanding amount : 357.50CR" (i was having 372.81 outstanding balance in add on card and 730.31CR in primary card ) they showed total outstanding as : 357.50CR , as total o/s shows as credit, i thought now both the cards statements are combined and they adjusted towards each other and showed credit but now when i checked, they have charged me 100+ ST towards late charges and again they will charge me interest charges.
                                Please help me as these standard chartered bank is cheating customers very badly.
                                My question is:
                                1. If i need to make both payments seperately, then why i got both the card details in one statement?
                                2. and why the statement is showing as credit amount (excess) in my total outstanding balance section.

                                  I had an salary/savings account[ac:[protected]] with Standard Chartered Bank from 2006 to 2007 after which the account has got deactivated due to insufficient balance.But Currently I need the Statement for those periods[2006 to 2007].When I approached the Branch[RK Salai,Chennai] there was no proper response and they are saying the process to get the statement is difficult and ignored me.
                                  Initially they said I can get the Statement by paying an amount 150INR by cheque for each Quarter. But Suddenly when I went to the branch they said that it is not possible and I have to go to Parrys Branch and meet the BM. Is it not my right to get my information.It is very much needed for me to submit for my employment verification.I am totally stressed and disturbed as there is a danger of loosing a Job or abroad opportunity.Please help and do not ignore it as another email.Atleast I am their Ex-Customer.Expecting a positive reply

                                      I have a credit card for STANDARD CHARTED BANK CREDIT CARD. I HAVE NEVER REQUESTED FOR THE SAME. AT THE TIME OF ISSUE BANK ASSURE ME THAT CARD IS LIFETIME FREE CARD AND NO ANNUAL FEE. AS PER STANDARD CHARTED BANK, THERE WILL BE NO SERCHARGE AT ANY PERTOL PUMP. I HAVE TO STOP SHOPPING ON THAT CARD DUE TO CHARGING OF SERCHARGE ON CARD. BUT AFTER FEW MONTHS SUDDENY I RECEIVED A BILL FOR APPROX. 1200.00 WHICH WAS STATING RS. 899.00 + PENALITIES FOR LATE PAYMENT.                                         Hi,

                                        I had taken Card Enhancement Pack(CEP) as requested by Insurance team from Standard Chartered Bank. At least 10 times they called me up to take the pack. While taking the pack it is confirmed that if it won't be utilized money would be refunded as per the policy. I had taken the CEP around Apr 2011 and I didn't get any chance to use it. As per the policy I have already cancelled for current year and asked for the last year refund amount (Ref:[protected] Dt:15 Feb). Soon I had sent CEP pack to your Bangalore address as mentioned by Customer care Executive (Courier: DTDC CNno: P[protected].
                                        I keep calling about the status of refund amount since March 2012, but every time got bad response.

                                        When I called on 6th Apr 2012, Asha Ilangovan told me that it was sent to Out bound team, I would be getting status of the same soon.(Refno[protected] Dt:6th Apr)
                                        I didn't get any response, waited with so much of patince.
                                        When I called again on 13th Apr 2012, Vimal Kumar told me that it was sent to Insurance Team, I would be getting status of the same in 14 days.(Complaint no[protected] Dt:13th Apr)
                                        I didn't get any response, waited for 1 month.
                                        I called on 15 may 2012 to Customer care and escalated the complaint, Divya Menon picked up and transferred to Shantini- Credit card Floor manager, Bangalore.
                                        I was told by Shantini that i would be getting response within 3 working days. (Reference: 161956)
                                        I am fed up with the service providing to Customer. I lost confident on Standard Chartered Bank completely. Initially i referred many of my colleagues to choose your bank as their savings bank, but now i am no more telling this.

                                        Standard Chartered — Standard chartered bank cheated me

                                        Hi,
                                        i have a standard charetered bank credit card. and i did a transaction of 18, 858 on 31-08-07. for this repayment i have not received any statement/intimation/phone call from bank. And after that due date bank people called me for the repayment. i have cleared the amount. from next month onwards i was receiving the statement for late payment and interest charges. i requested 3 times the bank people to canel and vaiwe of the charges. but no one has taken care of my request. and finally they put my name in satyam site. due that one i am facing problems. they are treatning me that now the amount becomes 6000 Rs change and if i pay the complete amount only they will remove my name from satyam site. so please do need help me to get waive of the complete charges and to get removal of the name from satyam/cebel site.

But sorry to say that after making payment for last 9 months your accountal figure says that only a sum of Rs.2, 000/- have been repaid from my end.
