Hi,

I have done the complete payment of my credit card and surrendered the card enhancement pack as well as my credit card

Still amount of Rs.3401.09 is being levied on my Instabuys Classic Card #[protected]. This was the card enhancement pack which I have surrendered with all the dues clear.

My credit card number is: [protected]

When I have done the complete payment and surrendered my card why are the unnecessary charges being levied on me.

I am not willing to do a further payment to Standard Chartered because each time they keep imposing unnecessary charges.

I have registered a complaint with the Standard Chartered Bank but they are asking me to do the payment. The complaint reference number is:Ref: 12/12/039492/SP/CRD

It's a humble request Can you please resolve this complaint as soon as possible, as this thing is annoying me a lot?

Thanks and Regards,

Nitesh Sharma

There were fraud transactions on my standard chartered credit card for an amount of around rs. 15000 between 9:28pm and 9:33pm on 22 December. When I called up customer care they gave me reference number 546627 and asked to call in 2 days.. they also confirmed that these transactions are towards AIRTEL..

I request standard chartered team to wipe of this amount from amount outstanding.

One of my credit card 9SCB Manhattan) is in dispute. When I last used it in 2006, the bank applied financial charge because of late payment by 1 day. I called up customer care and informed them to revert the charges that they agree. However, the charges was never reverted and therefore I asked the bank to close my account. Instead of closing the account, they keep billing me by rolling over the financial charges. Finally, they marked the account as cancelled 6 months after that and the outstanding then was around Rs 3500 (with only financial charges for each month and rollover). Now few months back in 2012, they have marked my account as defaulter in CIBIL with writeoff of Rs 59000. What am I supposed to do in such case when there was no correspondence from the bank all these years and the only outstanding in my account all these years was the financial charges. How can I correct my CIBIL records? What is the settlement process and what is the maximum liability that I should bear?

I have a salary account in Standard Chartered Bank and applied for Manhattan Credit card at around beginning of 2011. I was using Standard Chartered Manhattan Credit Card for about one and a half year and was quite satisfied with the services till an interest charge of Rs. 2093.49 along with service tax of Rs. 258.76 was added on 25/10/2012.

In 2012 itself, according to my record I have made transactions of around Rs. 1,40,000 using this card.

I mailed them asking for the reason for such interest charged as I was paying the dues always within the due dates. They did not give any proper reason for such such, reverted about 25% of the charge and specified that I pay the balance interest charged.

As I have a salary account I used to pay using Standard Chartered net banking. Recently I paid a due amount of Rs. 548 against one of my card, the Bank quite funnily without intimating me, paid only the minimum amount due for that card and transferred the balance to another card. Later they charged interest on that card also. This way they are cheating all their customers.

I have already cancelled the Manhattan Credit Card and have decided that I will not pay a single paisa of interest charged falsely.

I will provide all the deatils reagarding my payments made online.

I seek you help against this type of cheating.

Standard Chartered Bank Credit Card. — Interest Charges for no Reasons.

Beware if you have Stanchart Credit Card, the bank charges ramdom interest charges just before or after your bill date that the customer service can't explain. If you question at length they reverse.
This happens even if you make your payments well before the due date. I paid 10 days prior to due date but they still charged interest that they accepted can't be due to me not paying my dues but they could not explain.
There is always something or the other with these guys.
        BEWARE!
Standard Chartered Manhattan are no less than robbers. This is just for some other people who can be aware before getting bank account or credit card.

          Dear sir / Madam
I'm holding SC Inner Circle credit Card from past 2 months. On 23rd November I purchased a Micromax Tablet of rs 7249 + 99 = 7349 with 6 EMI offer. My CC Bill was generated on very next day i.e 24th November. In the card statement, the amount was not converted into EMI (Rs.1225 ) instead it was generated with total amount of
Rs.7349/- . While verifying with EZone, they told it was already processed from their side and it is pending with STANDARD CHARTERED only. After I called to SC customer care on 12/12/2012 and raised issue. A compliant has been registered stating that the issue will be addressed on or before Friday (14/12/2012) and asked me to pay a minimum due of rs 340. I have paid rs 1225 on Thursday morning. To verify the status I once again called to customer care today (17/12/2012) but still the amount is not converted into EMI. From Customer care once again compliant has raised stating with call back on three days. I request you to analyze the issue history and help me to solve the same. Please do the needful

Standard Charted Compliant No is :541060

I'm hold HDFC CC from past 5 years, I never been faced such issue with them. Please help me to resolve issue and enable me to use SC cards

            Hi,

I have a Standard Chartered Credit card. I bought a mobile using this card on a EMI scheme. Although I payed the total bill amount of a particular month within the stipulated date, they charged an extra amount of more than 600 rupees quoting the reasons as Late Payment fee and Interest charges. When I lodged a complaint with them, they verified the transactions and promised me that whatever the extra amount leived on my account will be credited in my next month statement. But when I looked at my monthly statement, they did not credit any amount and an additional 45 rupees was charged as interest. I dint receive any satisfactory response from Standard Chartered people when asked for the reasons. I request that authorities concerned to address this issue.

            Regards,

Recently i received a mail from Standard Chartered Bank stating that now you can buy any Iphone in 12 equal monthly installments at zero percent interest and Zero Processing fees. As i was always wanting to buy one but couldn't afford it at one go. I thought of buying it through this scheme. So on 19th Nov i bought the Iphone 5 and even got a receipt from SCB bank stating that it was on 12 months EMI. I was very happy for my purchase but soon things changed and in the current months bill they billed me the full amount and not the EMI. When i enquired about the same with SCB bank they said that "we regret our inability to accede your request owing to bank's internal criteria at this point of time. We regret any inconvenience caused to you on account of the same." What does that mean I can't understand anything.. This is clearly misselling on that part of the bank and cheating their loyal customer

Dear SCB if your are listening pls do something as i cant afford to pay you in one go and if you screw up with my credit score i will surely take it legally.

                Thanks,

                  Hello Team,

I have received my first bill for my credit card (54**********)
for an amount of Rs.1,122.48. I called your customer care number
on 19th Nov, stating that the sales team never updated me about the
joining fees of Rs.999 + tax and I was also updated that I would
receive some goodies along with my Credit card. But now I have just
got a card and a bill to make the payment, nothing else. Today is 1st
of Dec and there is no follow up call from your end. I called back
your customer care today again with same concerns, they have asked me
                  to wait till Monday.

If I had forgotten about this and not made my payment, you would have
moved my name to defaulters, which is a black mark for me. You do not
seem to understand the seriousness of an issue or you are not giving
                  the right customer service.

All I needed was clarifications to my questions and its past 2 weeks
with no call back from your end. I am forced to think if I need to
continue with you for this service.

                    Hi,
I am Balaji K and my complaint is against Standard Chartered Bank in credit card fraud.
November 1st week all my documents were collected for the credit card process. [No acknowledgement or receipt given to me]
Later i got verification call/s and told that the card would be delivered in week. [still no acknowledgement or receipt] There were no sign of the card status after couple of weeks. I tried to contact the person [Bhavani - [protected]] the one who interacted with me. For more than a week i tried to contact the corresponding person but i am spoofed. Finally i just got threatening/scolding words from that number.

I tried to contact the customer care, but couldnt able to succeed even after couple of hours of repeated dialling.
Finally couple of days back, I had mailed the incident to the customer care and the higher level - 'customer.[protected]@sc.com' & 'Principal.[protected]@sc.com'. but still now there is no response.

I am afraid that the person or the SC employee may misuse my details (the documents i had given).
I didnt get any acknowledgement receipt till now or didnt get any status about the card. I am totally stressed up with this credit card process.

Standard Chartered Bank — Repeated Calls to take their policiesfor issusing policies

                    Hi,

I have a Mumbai Vodafone number which is almost 3 years old. I have been receiving calls from this phone numbers[protected] very often. The callers say he/ she is calling from Standard Chartered Bank asking me to go for their insurance policies.

I have repeated told these guys to update their database that I am not at all interested, and that they should not call up again. However every time a new person calls up asking me to buy their policy.

I am now lodging a formal complaint against this, as totally feeling harassed for no reason. This bank steals people numbers from God knows whose database without knowing doing any hard work of reaching out only people who might be interested. Secondly they have no sound call tracking mechanism, to ensure if once the person has refused, they should maintain their banks' dignity by NOT calling the person again.

Highly unprofessional. I am sure lot others must be getting harassed multiple times by them in this manner. Kindly take some action. I don’t see any other reputed banks calling me without doing a bit of research about my background.

Pls. let me know if you require my phone call details as a proof of their calls. But pls. help me at least get rid of it. Thanks

                    Regards

Standard Cherterd Bank — Regarding Credit card Fraud

                    Dear Sir/Madam,

I had applied for a Standard Chartered Credit card 2 months before. The Bank fellows took the documents twice from me. Didnt progress my applications.Th reason is If they take a persons document with signed, then they will get a commission of 100 to 200 rupees. They give customers the wrong information like 5% cash back blah blah .. but usually they dont do it.Even the Standard Chartered bank is so useless that they didint take any action on that. The persons are located in Chennai. They are reachable at [protected]. The Fraud person are the entire bank employees. They ask for all the details like other bank credit card details, bank account details, Pan card,Driving license,Passport Details. Even though I am not a defaulter in any bank they dint even progress my application. They took 8 to 10 times verification to my mobile land lines etc. I would like to know from the bank Why this kind of negligence happened with me?

                    Cheers

Standard Chartered Bank — Big Fraud

I am a Victim of The SCB credit card, Back in 2006 the SCB asked me to pay around 20k towards closing my credit card account, since that was a high amount, I asked them to waive off some amount and they reduced it to 17k. So I went and paid that amount and closed the account then itself in 2006 Dec.

Now after 4 years, I get a mail from SCB, that I have to pay them 13k, and when I call the customer support, they tell me, that its the intrest on the waived amount, ie the 3 k , Sadly the Banking system of India is pathetic, Would never ever take SCB credit card ever and also want to make other citizens of India Aware that DONOT TAKE SCB credit cards.

                    Hi,

My standard chartered Manhattan credit card number is [protected]. On 29th June 2013 I made a call to the customer care to enquire about the pre-closure of my credit card loans like 1 – How to close my loans, 2 – What is the balance money to be paid and the procedure to pre-close.

She immediately raised 2 requests for closing my loans which are shown below,
                    [protected] – RS 47597.62 Only
                    [protected] – RS 221859.19 Only

Also she said that, this is the total amount I need to pay to close all my loans.

As she said, I immediately made the payment for RS 269457 on the same date to the Manhattan card [protected].

I cannot understand the issue like why the customer service representative made a recorded statement like RS 269457 is the total money I should pay to close all my existing loans completely but after that I see 15000 rupees addition to be paid.

When I called the customer care many times to enquire about this issue, I don’t get any proper reply from your customer care person and the call is disconnected by the customer care person.

One guy gave a reference number to reverse these charges –[protected] and said that this amount will be reversed in 3 days but it never reversed. When I again called the customer care the lady said, there is no such request raised and the reference number is not valid and she gave me a new number – 672460 and said that this is a communication reference number and the charges will be reversed in 3 days. Again after a week I called the customer care and this time a new person said that the communication ref number is 672460 invalid and gave me a new reference number –[protected].

After 15 days I see my online statements but still these amount are not reversed.

I never expected such fraud things are happening at standard chartered bank and this is mentally disturbing me a lot because,

                    1) Initially the customer care person said the total money I must pay that is RS 269457 which I paid immediately.
                    2) It is the fault of the customer service executive to raise the request numbers[protected] and[protected] for preclosure because iam a consumer and I don’t have any clue about preclosure of loans and I called these people to inquire about preclosure but immediately these people have raised the requests and charged some over limit fees.
                    3) Everytime these people irritated me by cutting the phone calls and making false promises like giving false reference numbers[protected], 672460,[protected] for reversal of charges.

I need a proper justification from standard chartered bank why they are behaving like such frauds like making false promises to sell these useless credit cards.

Please help me in getting justice in this issue.
                    Also my additional details,

                    Email - [protected]@gmail.com

Please help me in solving my problem with standard Chartered Bank.

                    Dear Sir / Madam,

This refers to your letter under ref. 10/13/099568/DHA/ESC/RBI dated 20/11/2013 with respect to the fraudulent transaction done on my credit card bearing No. [protected] which is being disputed by me and Compliant No. [protected] lodged with the Standard Chartered Bank..

As informed to the bank the following transaction done on May 24, 2013 was fraud not done by me as the credit card was with me in Mumbai.

                    Date Merchant name Amount

The matter has been reported to the Standard Chartered Bank immediately at 6.30 AM in the morning as soon as I got the SMS message. The credit card was immediately blocked and informed to them. SCB informed me to file a complaint and send the form duly filled to their Chennai office for further investigation. SCB had provided me a temporary credit and informed me that the investigation report will be given within next 30 days. The bank did not bother to inform me of the investigation done for the next 4 months. Suddenly I find that the temporary credit is reversed and debited to my account which was reflecting in the month of October 15, 2013.

I had requested the bank to give me a detailed report of the investigation done by them and to inform me against what purpose/ purchase/services this payment was made and from where this transaction request was given.

The bank is just claiming that this was a secured transaction done using a Master Secure code. If this was the only statement to be given by the bank then why did the bank take 4 months to make this statement? The bank should have informed me immediately that you cannot file any complaint since the card account is registered for Master Secure Code hence all transaction are secure transaction. Also there has been no intimation or reply on the complaint filed by me.

The SCB bank is responsible for delaying the matter without doing any investigation and finally just informing me that this was a secured transaction. I would have initiated some investigation by myself with the merchant to get details on the transaction but the time is lost now.

Please be informed that this disputed transaction was done online by someone outside India and I have no connection with this Russian establishment. I sincerely wish to inform you that this transaction was not done by me and is a fraudulent transaction. The amount debited to my account is beyond my capacity to pay as such I would be grateful to you and request to look into the matter and settle the dispute at the earliest.

                    Best Regards

I am Sathish Kumar, I have been using Credit card from Standard Chartered bank for past 7 years. I use this card occasionally. I always make the payment before due date. I never ever fail to make the payments. Now the Standard Chartered bank charging Over Limit charges without my knowledge. My card limit is Rs. 10000/- only. What is the meaning of Credit Limit. it should not allow the crossing the limit to swipe. I didn't get any denied or cross limit allot from Standard Chartered Bank. But they allowed me to swipe my card to extra Rs. 106/- (swipe amount Rs. 10106/-). Now they are charging over limit charges Rs. 500/-. How clever Standard Chartered Bank making the money from customers. Is this way doing the customers service of Standard Chartered Bank ? Without customer knowledge they are charging hidden service charges from Customers. Please be carefully whoever using the Standard Chartered account/Credit Cards.

                          2. There will be immediate cash back of 5% on fill of petrol above Rs.500 in any petrol bunk.
                          3. Reward points earned can be converted to cash while paying back the bill.
I have online account to track my transactions. So while checking my recent transactions I found below findings to my surprise,
                          1. Rs.10 has charged extra on each petrol transaction less than Rs.500.
                          2. For petrol transaction more than Rs.500 they do reversal of 2.5% on surcharge and 2.5% on actual petrol amount.
                          3. I called for reward point’s clarification, they replied saying I have to take gift vouchers for my reward points. No cash conversion on reward points.
If I called to clarify for these things on customer care they simply says go through the terms and condition given in welcome kit.
So in my opinion, representatives simply convey wrong things (they don’t even hesitate to lie.) I advice whoever interested in buying standard chartered credit card please go through terms and conditions, simply do not relay on sales representatives.
                          Regards,

                            Dear Sir / Madam (s),

I have been using Standard Chartered Credit Card for more than 10 years, and have faced issues with Billing - as non-receipt of statement etc, several times in past but I used to make payment after checking with Phonebanking.
I have always cleared my dues in full, within the due date, and noways for any credit card kept any outstanding.
In such a scenario, why would I keep Rs. 300 or Rs. 500/- pending for SCB account clearing and closing ??

In Aug-2010, I had dropped a cheque of Rs. 3.0Lacs, which was refused as received by bank on due date, in my confirmation call, and I was asked to make online payment to avoid charges, with stop payment of cheque issued. I did so in 30 minutes. time and confirmed to bank. Even after that, Cheque reached my bank the very next day ?
I was charged for Cheque return, non-payment and other charges - which was already clarified - while making the payment.
When I requested for closure and cancellation of the card and relation - somehow the yearlong time was taken with calls from various people and promises to clear this mess. Then the issue pending from Nov-2011, was promised to be cleard, was not cleared till March 2012, and I was informed that Supervisor need to intervene as its more than 2 months old matter. I could not speak to Supervisor, even after holding the call for 20 mins. I was told that Supervisor will call back, but it never happened.
Every time I tried to speak to Phonebanking/Customercare, there is alternate given to call others or write a mail - and mails are not responded in time - or not even read completely - for resolution.
I refused for any renewals and got the card and relation cancelled with the bank. In the final call, I was told the Rs. 200/- is what I may have to pay, on my request for confirmation - I was told that in 3-4 days time it will be confirmed to me, and cancellation was processed.
There are no updates after that, and suddenly message for outstanding came to me, upon enquiry different people are sharing different information and proper updates are shared. In first week of Nov 2012, or so I have made a additional payment of Rs. 500/- as per one of the phonebanking officer to clear the accounts. The next week I get a call that Rs. 16,000- plus is due which is a shocker and clear cut fraudulent amount.
Due to the issues, I could never use the Credit card in last couple of years and finally cancelled it. I had availed some offers 2 yrs back which I have asked for cancellation, and refused for any renewals - which was confirmed to me. so there could not be amounts pending towards card accounts anyways.

In spite of all my followups SCB is only adding charges and leading to my mental torture.

Please help me get this sorted out with SCB without any fraudulent charges levied to me.
                            Thanks & regards,

Standard Chartered Bank/Credit Card — Cheque missing by bank

                              Dear Sir/Madam

Sub: Problem with STANDARD CHARTERED BANK

Ref: my name is J.KUMARAVEL, CONTACT NUMBER - [protected]

There are issues that I am facing through your bank, due to which it is causing me mentally disturbance. Here I am giving the issues as follows:

                              1.Credit Card No.[protected]:
Received the 20th May 2008 statement date with due date as 11th June 2008, as soon as receiving the statement, I have dropped the 2 cheques for full payment of Rs.50, 406/-, (1st Cheque No.031669 dated 5th june 2008 for Rs.3, 000/- and 2nd Cheque No.031670 dated 5th june 2008 for Rs.47, 406/-). The date, time and place:-
5th june 2008 at 09.53 PM location at Rajaji Salai, Chenna and the machine id: 318 and Transaction id: 0060 for 1st cheque
5th june 2008 at 09.52 PM location at Rajaji Salai, Chennai and the machine id: 318 and Transaction id: 0059 for 2nd cheque
but the 1st cheque is only cleared on 9th june 2008 in my Bank and still the 2nd cheque is not cleared. Regarding this when i called u r customer care number on 11th june 2008, Miss. Sunitha was the person who picked my call and when i told her all this problem, she told that above Rs.20, 000/- amount cheque are treated as HIGH VALUE CLEARING and it will take 5 working days to clear the cheque, is it true or did she gave me false information because as per my knowledge above one lakh amount cheques are treated as HIGH VALUE CLEARING and that tooo HIGH VALUE CLEARING MEANS CLEARING THE FUNDS WITHIN 24HRS and she even informed me that within 5 working days her banking representative will call me and clear this doubts, but till date 17th June 2008 no one turned up.

Today 17th June 2008 when i called back u r customer care no. one Mr.Gopal picked my call and told me to give the STOP PAYMENT FOR 2nd CHEQUE No.031670 and issue a fresh cheque for the same amount Rs.47, 406/- as the BANK HAVE LOST THE CHEQUE. When i asked that who would bear the STOP PAYMENT CHARGES he clearly told that he or his bank could do nothing on this issue.

This is not the first issue i am facing with u r bank for credit card issue, u can check last month statement date 20th April 2008 their also u r bank have debited for late payment and surcharge interest unwantedly, details are as follows:

                              1. This are the charges which are debited
                              2. This is the amount paid which was wholly credited to that a/c
                              3. This credit amount should have been credited in SPECIAL MERCHANDISING OFFER.

Actually for the past 5 months I pay the full amount in a single cheque and your bank use to credit it to both the account accordingly, but u can see that APRIL MONTH STATEMENT it was not done and it wholly credited to the credit card account and giving the debit charges in the SPECIAL MERCHANDISING OFFER A/C – after seeing this statement I spoke many times with customer care regarding this problem, then only on next month statement “MAY MONTH” your bank credited back the all charges.

                              2. I am holding your bank OD A/C No.[protected]

In this account I deposited the cheque no.844046, SBI-WEST MAMBALAM, Chennai Branch for Rs.200, 000/- dated on 19th march 2008 through cheque deposit machine id:318, location: Dr.R.K.Salai, chennai, Time:10.52 AM, Transaction No.0011,

When I enquired regarding this cheque clearance after 3 days your bank said that there is no cheque deposited in your bank and told to call me after 2 days. When I called back after 2 days the same excuse of “CHEQUE LOST” is been told by your customer care peoples. In this 5 days the cheque no.776457, amount Rs.95, 000/- which I issued to CITIBANK CREDIT CARDS got dishonored and they charged me the late payment fees + Interest charges + cheque bouncing charges + service charges etc., which comes to Rs.7, 500/- debited in my credit card a/c. so you see that even in your banking account is also creating problems.

So you can see that there are so many issues with STANDARD CHARTERED BANK, I am facing every month and this month I am facing the problem in my credit card account where PAYMENT MADE THR CHEQUE, WHICH IS MISSING BY YOUR BANK. Now tell me what should I do with your bank . See I am clearly indicating that I cannot bear the STOPMENT CHARGES. I don’t want to take this issue legally. So I am requesting your bank to settle the problem within 7 days of the receipt of this email.

                              Warm Regards,

                              J.Kumaravel

I held a credit card with standard chartered bank and have been making my payments on time and without any issues. Due to a merchandise card shift from Barclay's Bank to Standard Chartered Bank I got 2 cards with Standard Chartered Bank. I still continued to pay regularly the balances on both my cards however suddenly for the past few months the bank has started harassing me. I make the payment for one card they transfer the money to another card. I do not want them to transfer my money from one card to another card. As I understand both cards are stand alone for me and bear no relation with each other however the bank still keeps transferring my money from one card to another card. I have not signed any such form with them which allows them to transfer my money from one card to another without my consent. I have raised complaints also about this after which they cancelled the transaction however again this month thrice they have transferred my payments form one card to another. I even asked them to cancel one of my cards to avoid all the confusion but they do not revert and not let me complete the payment on one of may card and keep transferring my money so they can charge interest on both my cards. I need to be personally responsible for maintaining my credit and payments on my cards and do not like the fact that the bank keeps transferring my money without my consent. Not sure what I should do here.

My first year of the credit card (No annual fees period) was to end in Sept 2012. So i requested to cancel the card on 9th Sept (Ref: 09/12/060639/SP/CRD). I was told that I would not be charged annual fees for another year, or in case the annual fees is charged for the next year, i can go ahead and cancel the credit card without paying the fees. But in Oct annual fees was charged to me. So on 4th Oct i requested to cancel my credit card. Till now i didnot get any reply. And now they have charged me with the annual fees and since its been a month, now late fees has been addded. Please let me know what is to be done in this case.

                                    Dear Sir,
I like to draw your valuable attention toward Mental Trauma I am suffering from due to
                                    unimaginable behavior by your bank.
I had a card with Standard Chartered bank Card No. 5546 XXXX XXXX 4102 with INr 23,000 credit limit. I
stopped using that card from DECEMBER 2009, at that time my outstanding was about INR 15,000.
I was unable to pay my dues due lack of income as I was pursuing studies.
Now, since last 2 months I am contacting Standard Chartered bank in order to clear my dues in mutually
acceptable terms. After several follow ups last month on 30th September
Ahmedabad branch of Standard Chartered offered me a deal and asked me to pay INR 30,000 (instead of INR 15,000 I
actually used) in order to provide me a “NO DUE CERTIFICAFE”. As they called me at about 1 pm
on a working day and I was in the office, thus it was not poosble for me to arrange the fund
on the same day by 6pm. I requested them to give me extension, and they refused to provide even
                                    one day extension.
Now, in middle of Present month (October) I called again and spoke with the same
branch, which told me that now in order to get the same NO DUE CERTIFICATE, I have to pay INR
38,786 by 31st October 2012, so I should arrange money and call them.
I called them on 25th October MORNING (Thurseday)and told them that I want to pay INR 38,786 now
so how to proceed. The branch told me that they will be calling me by the afternoon and will be
providing me with another card number toward which I have to make the payment, as my card
                                    number has been changed.
I did not receive any call from them and on the same day till 6 pm I tried to call them more
than 20 times, AND till Tuesday I have tried to contact them many time without any success.
I contacted SCB head office and then got a call from Ahmedabad branch agin on Tuesday, when he told me that now not even INR 38,786 the amount he committed earlier but I have to pay INR 66,000 instead.
My experience with Standard Chartered is horrible and is the worst of its kind in my life so far.
This bank is ran buy a bunch of thieves and fraudstars who are here to just rob common people of India.
Its Director “Sandeep Das” and Private Banking Service-Head “Madhura Das Gupta Sinha” is so unsestivive to their own customer that inspite of repeatitive mail from my side mentioning the issue and appealing for help, they did not even bother to respond.
I also appeal to concerned authority from Govt./RBI to look into the unethical practices Standard Chartered is doing and kick them out of our country.
I also appeal to my fellow countrymen, please think twice before using any product of Standard Chartered, as bad days may come to anyone’s life any time and Standard Chartred with its cruel intension will be always looking for an opportunity for “sucking your blood”.
Looking forward to hear from you soon.
                                    Regards,

For ref. I had outstanding dues with two more banks:

Citibank: amount used INR 24,580 (Dec, 2009), Paid INR 24,580 (Aug,2012), Obtained "No Due Certificate"
ABN AMRO: amount used INR 20,000 (Dec 2009) Paid INR 38,200 (Sep,2012), Obtained "No Due Certificate".

Standard Charted: amount used INR 15,000 (Dec,2009), amount asking by bank INR 66,000 !!!!!!!!

I also appeal SCB and concerned authority from Govt. to look into this matter and provide a reasonable solution.
