I WAS ISSUED A STANDARD CHARTERED BANK CREDIT CARD IN COLLABORATION WITH BAJAJ FINSERV SOME 6 MONTHS BACK. IT SHOULD KINDLY BE NOTED THAT IT WASN'T AN INITIATIVE TAKEN ON MY PART BUT ONLY AFTER REPETITIVE CALLS AND PERSUASIONS I AGREED TO HAVE THIS CREDIT CARD (NO: [protected]).
AT THE TIME OF ISSUING IT I WAS ASSURED OF FAIR DEALINGS AND TRANSPARENCY , BUT TO MY DISMAY IT HAS TURNED OUT TO BE FULL OF CHEATING AND HIDDEN COSTS . I HAVE BEEN FACING THE FOLLOWING PROBLEMS:

1. NO STATEMENT HAS BEEN SENT TO ME FOR THE LAST 5 MONTHS ( NEITHER BY PAPER NOR BY E MAIL) , EVEN AFTER MAKING SEVERAL REQUESTS . EVERY TIME I CALL THE HELPLINE I AM TOLD THAT I WOULD BE GETTING IT IN THE NEXT 30 MIN, WHICH NEVER CAME.

2. SINCE I AM DEVOID OF ANY STATEMENT, I AM NOT AWARE OF THE TRANSACTIONS I HAVE MADE AND THE DATE OF MAKING THE PAYMENT ALSO MISSES OUT , THEN I AM GETTING THE CALLS FROM THE RECOVERY DEPARTMENT ASKING FOR THE SWELLING LATE PAYMENT CHARGES AND OTHER SURCHARGES.

3. I PURCHASED AN APPLE I-PHONE SIX MONTHS BACK AND I HAVE BEEN DEPOSITING THE EMI OF AROUND 7500/ ALMOST REGULARLY AND TILL DATE I HAVE DEPOSITED 5 EMIS AND ONLY ONE IS LEFT BUT WHEN I CALL THE HELPLINE , THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHETHER I HAVE MADE ANY PAYMENT OR NOT, ALTHOUGH I HAVE GOT THE RECORD OF 5 RECIEPTS DEPOSITED IN CASH.

THE BANK IS NOT PAYING ANY ATTENTION TO THE FRUSTRATION OF THE CUSTOMER, SO I HAVE DECIDED TO TAKE THIS MATTER TO CONSUMER COURT AND SINCE I AM NOT AWARE ABOUT WHAT CHARGES HAVE BEEN ACCUMULATING ON MY CARD, FOR NO FAULT OF MINE , I WANT FAIR PAYMENT AND WANT CLEAR CUT STATEMENTS FOR 5 MONTHS . MOREOVER , I WONT BE PAYING ANY LATE PAYMENT, OVERDUE OR ANY SURCHARGE , COME WHAT MAY, SINCE ITS NOT MY FAULT BUT THE BANK'S.

    Illegal Interest on Credit Card

    I have two cards withe Standard Chartered, one Platinum and one Titanium Credit Card withe all dues cleared on time so far for start

    I would like to lodge an complaint against thee A4 Interest Amount charged on my titanium credit card on current month statement.

    *** The A4 Interest can only be charged on thee outstanding amount if I have had any outstanding amount due from thee last outstanding amount after...

    I have been charged for some late fees and some additional charges( which i dont know what it for and not getiing any explanation from bank on it) on my credit card but it shoud not be done as I explained many times to the the Standrad chartered bank but not getting any concrete reply from their end. It was problem from bank end as when i was trying to pay the amount before due date then website is crashing and after that I came to overseas having no access to internet for initial week then also I was laste just by 3 -4 days.I also contacted my reltion manager but no luck yet and he was saying he will not help me in such queries , details as below:

    In addition to it, no reply is coming from bank side irrespective of many reminder under standard chartered mailbox.



    I requested bank to remove all un-necessary charges applied on me as I have already explain on the previous charges(on 20/05/2013, not happy with just 350 Rs adjustment) and this new additional charge date 07/06/2013 comes as surprise. If not, I have no other option to quit with the bank as this is simply not acceptable to treat a preferred customer having salary account with them and having such a gud banking record.

    SCB CREDIT CARD — Unnecessary Charges

    Would like to inform you that despite my several request to your customer service department (through telephone) I am not getting monthly statement for my above mentioned credit card. It was informed to your customer service desk that I need this statement every month on time to make the payment on time but it seems that your office is not interested in sending the statement to me because they are more interested in charging late penalty and interest on outstanding amount. Several times I informed you that I will not pay any late penalty or interest on the outstanding amount for no fault of mine. So please delete all late penalty charges and interest amount from the bill and send me final bill to make the payment.



    Also please issue suitable instruction to your concerned department that they should send me the statement every month without fail so that payment is released on time. I would also like to inform you that I made the payment of approximate amount every month. So I fail to understand why you are putting late penalty and interest on the bill to unnecessarily harass me. Kindly look into this and waive off all late penalty and interest.

    Standard Chartered Credit Cards — Unnecessary Late Payment Charges

    StanChart Bank Card is the WORST Card Service Your can ever get. These People there are just thieves.

    I Have a Statement which shows that despite receiving the Payment 1 Day Before the Due Date, I was Charged Late Payment Charges. Which was reversed. Even if I Drop A Cheque 5days in advance, day do charge late payment charges.

    Kindly note: Behind The Bill There are terms and conditions. Which says ' we encourage you to drop the cheque atleast 3days in advance. HOWEVER THE CHEQUE CAN BE DATED OF THE DUE DATE'

    I Seriously fell RBI shud take a serious note of this and give them a warning or take some serious action against them.

    Sub.: Mental & Physical Harassment in Adding Unnecessary Charges from your end.

    I was shock on received of a SMS from your end regarding the bill of Rs. 6401.93 with due dated 10/08/2009. It seems that it has been practice from your end to add by hook or crook any amount to the customer. Let me put some facts for your knowledge.

    On statement dated 10/06/2009, it was addition of Rs. 2500 as upgrade fee debit dated 30may2009 with service tax incl. education cess of Rs. 257.50. So total amount is Rs. 2757.50. Than on received of your statement, I had call to your customer care department on 18/06/2009 at 7.40 a.m. and talk to Rohan. He had given an assurance that your charges will be reverse.

    On statement dated 10/07/2009, it was again addition of Rs. 5000 as MMT MONEY SAVER FEE with service tax incl. education cess of Rs. 265.98. So total amount is Rs. 5265.98. Then again on received of your statement, I had call to your customer care department on 28/07/2009 at 10.50 a.m. and talk with shweta. She had given transfer to other department and talk with Jay. The person was not ready to understand the facts that I had not said to any promotion department with using any of the scheme which is liable to pay any charges. After long discuss he told me that I will put the request and given assurance that your charges will be reverse.

    But it seems that the charges have been not reverse and also been added unnecessary penalty or interest. Many of people had told me that ABN AMRO had a practice of cheating by way of adding unnecessary charges, so I had stop using after 13may2009.

    So I request you to kindly reverse the charges and want an explanation from your end to stop giving mental harassment.

    being a standard chartered bank credit card holder since 7-8 years, i never failed to pay with in due date. and one payment i did not pay with in due date as i did not get the statement when i saw the portal and they charged me almost Rs 1200 + charges then i contacted customer care for waive off the amount considering the association, then they assured me and asked me to pay the remaining amount and i paid but when it comes to next bill i was surprised o see the other late payment and A3 A4 charges and the again i contacted the customer care many times abut they did not listen properly and say the same thing those are valid charges.

    for rs 8000+ they almost charged me Rs 12000+ in a month time

    i am not going to pay the rest of the amount except which i am supposed to pay, and i paid the amount.
    i have one load account on that card and i was doing separate payments for both accounts and they send separate bills for both accounts. they simply transferred some amount to main card account where i did not even do single transaction and they them selves transferred and some amount to loan account from that main account and started charging late payment A3, A4 charges etc.

    completely un ethical and worst customer care ever seen in my life.

      i was charged B2OVER LIMIT FEE twice in the same billing period before the due date on 26/4/13 & 14/5/13. although i am not complaining about the first charge but twice in the same bill period before payment due date is not correct. when i asked about the same i got no replies regarding the second charge.

        I will write the same mail which i have written to standard chartered bank..

        Hi all,

        This is to inform you that I Ambrish Bhola is one of your credit card customer. My card number is [protected] (Manhattan Platinum Card). I have been using credit cards from few years now but I haven’t face any problem uptil yet. But this time with your bank I am very upset.

        The issue is previously my card statement generation date was 25th of the month and on 6th may 2013, I got an sms from you people that effective next month my statement generation date would be 11th of the month. Now this change has happened without my permission. My concern is that I am a salaried employee & I get me salary in my account on 5th of the month & there is no possible way that I can make the payment before that. As per your new statement date my due date will fall on 2nd of the month & for me it is not possible to make the payment on that date as I get paid on 5th of the month, which means I would not be able to make the payment on time. Now as per your policy if a customer will not make a payment on time then you people will charge him/her late charges & other fees. For me it is highly impossible to make the payment on the due date. Now to make that change I called up your customer service & told them the issue & the lady with whom I spoke to first time said “the change will be done as per my request & statement will get generate on 25th of the month”, I said ok. Now after few days I got a call from you people that same statement cannot be retained as per the bank policy. I told her why I was given the wrong commitment & the lady who called me up said “ I don’t have to worry about it, if I call up the customer care I will get the different statement date. I took that word from her & again called customer care & spoke to your customer care representative named Sujata and that lady was very rude. She directly denied my request & said it cannot be done. I told her that I want to speak to the manager & she gave me the common answer that no one is available to talk to me. She said that she has taken the request & some manager will call me within 24 hours. Today I called again your customer service people & spoke to the lady named Yashika & I told her about my problem and she said it can’t be done as my loan is going on. I replied her that after my loan my first statement has not been generated yet so I want to change the statement date & my due will fall after 5th of the month, she strictly denied. Today only I got a call from the senior floor manager named Ashok Kumar Yadav, to be very honest he also did not helped me. I told him my problem & which is very genuine. Unfortunately he also did not helped me.

        I am writing this mail to all of you so that I should get the resolution, otherwise I will cancel this card for sure. I will not pay a dine on it. I have also mentioned this thing on consumer complaint services, online as well. I mean I sent the same mail to them as well. I will also write a mail to Reserve bank of India as well. I will also inform everyone in my circle that not use take any service from standard chartered bank. Honestly talking Citibank is far better than your bank.

          On 02/02/2013, I purchased an iPhone 4S from Network, City Centre Mall(New Town), Kolkata with my standard chartered credit card.
          The cost of the Mobile was Rs. 37,200 and I was charged with Rs. 40,108 as I purchased it in 12 EMI option and the processing charge was included in the amount Rs. 40,108. But the amount was never converted as EMI and the total amount felt due from my Card.

          First I called the bank and I was asked tpo pay the minimum amount due and was assured that the dispute will be taken care of. I payed the amount but my problem was not resolved.

          Then I send a mail to bank with attachment and all relevant documents on March 25th 2013 that I had and even then that was not resolved(ref no: KMM13175954I15977L0KM).

          I had send another mail on April 5th 2013(ref: KMM13178104I15977L0KM) and raised a dispute against the transaction but even then it was not resolved.

          Then I send out a dispute form with all documents again on May 20th 2013 (ref no: KMM13905358I15977L0KM) and after 9 days I received a response today on May 29th 2013 saying that dispute needs to be raised with in 90 days and hence my request is rejected.

          1> Now why in no communication I was informed that there is a cap of 90 days.
          2> I raised the problem starting from February it self over the phone and then by mail why it was not resolved then and that was well within 90 days cap.

          Now I am being asked to pay 45K for a product that costs 37K that too I went for the EMI option only because that I can not pay the amount at a time. Where is my fault in all these?

          I'm facing the same kind of issue with the same Standard Chartered bank. I too bought a mobile in Sep 22nd 2012, which costs of 15 thousand change and paid the processing fee too for the EMI conversion. But in the next statement the EMI didnt get converted. Called Customer care people several times and mailed too to card.[protected]@sc.com and head.[protected]@sc.com. But no one responded at the earliest. Now they responded back stating to pay 56, 000, where the card has only transaction for 34000. I'm going to complain the same to RBI. I'd appreciate if you join me.             Hi,

            This to inform that i am a standard charted credit card user.I always paid the amount according to the statements.But banks provides some promotional offers on card and harass to customers by making lots of phone calls to enjoy the service.Through this they are adding lots of hidden charges in the statement and force the customer to pay the amount.There is no such branch to clear out queries.I have suffered a lot due to this.They have sent a kit in the name of card benefit plan.I've never even opened the seal of the kit.But later came to know that i have been added Rs.10,000 to my bill.I have mailed so many times to customer care people and called them too.But Frustrated.For that my civil value also affected.Because I've not cleared their dues.I have other bank credit cards too.But no one is like this.This is the real bank and the bank's that not for the people should be banned.

            I appeal to the government to please look into the issue.I want to clear the dues that I've only used.Please reach me at [protected]@gmail.com

              I am facing problem in with Standard charted credit card for wrong charges charged by them in last 4 months statement. I have sent 3 mail to company for reversal but they have not done any action against. In this month also they have charged 2000 Rs. for limit exceed charges. I have not been informed regarding the same.

              At the time of taking the credit card they have giving confirmation that no annual fees will be charged due to corporate discount

              Around 4500 rs. wrong charged by this company.

              When i take card , i told executive i dont want any type of insurance with it..
              but in my statement always insurance add within it..
              now tell me why should i pay for it that i dont want it..

              now my pending payment is rs. 247. & also my card is block..
              now tell me wht i have to do?

              Your executive done wrong with me with false commitment..
              now tell me who paid this amount..

              kindly send me clarification & reverse my all charges.

              I dont want any type of insurance & tell me procedure of cancallation of card..

              I thought State Bank of India is Government Bank .. So its for people..

              Sir,
              I have take a personal loan on ICICI Bank Credit card Rs. 2, 73, 000/- in June 2008. In the statement of 28th August 08 ICICI bank shown heque payment received Rs. 8, 750/- cheque No. 073904 dated 11.08.2008 and same has debited from my Saving A/c. No. 34100 o[censored]nited Bank of India. But in the statemen of 28th February 2009 ICICI Bank shown that my above cheque has been returned and same amount of Rs. 8, 750/- add in my loan amount and cheque returen fee of Rs. 250/- has levied and also Rs. 30.90/- as a service tax.
              I had contact with customer service officer then they had suggest to contact with United Bank of India. I had contact with my above Bank, but cheque has no returned.
              ICICI Bank charged wrongly above amount and no co-operation received by ICICI Bank. What can I do.

                The bank have linked my Credit card to my SB A/C without any information nor i have raised any request. Now they have given debit of Rs. 28000+ and ALL THE MONEY DEPOSITED IN MY SCB ACCOUNT BEING DEBITED TOWARDS MY CREDIT CARD PAYMENT. Upon speaking with the SCB phone banking officer, they claim to be that this is common process and would not need customer confirmation to link the Credit Card with the SB account since both are in same bank. Upon my several request to de-link the credit card with SB Account, they denied to do so. Please advice whether bank has authority to link without customer request or confirmation.

                  Hi,

                  My name is Nandita Das and I am residing in Bangalore. I was having a Barclays credit card in which I had an outstanding of INR 4000. I was making installment payments when Barclay credit card was taken over by Standard Chartered.

                  On this acquisition I never received my new card and no information on the new card number from Standard Chartered Bank. I kept calling Barclay card when they confirmed that Standard Chartered Bank would get back to me. As I did not have any information on Standard Chartered Card number due to which I could not make the payment for 3 to 4 months. I tried calling Standard Chartered Customer Care but there also in the IVR menu we need the card number , card validity date to get through the customer care which I did not have.

                  For very long this continued for about 4 to 5 months when suddenly one day I got a statement (Card Number mentioned in the statement – [protected]) which stated my outstanding balance had become 9000 due to late payment fee and interest charges. How could I have made the payment without the card number and card validity date.

                  The moment I received the statement I called customer care and made a payment of INR 5000 which is more than my actual outstanding balance.
                  I requested for call back and registered complaint with customer care for reversal of late payment charges. I also wrote mails to Standard Chartered Head office and customer care where they replied that they would get back to me but never did so. After that again I received a statement which had outstanding balance to which I made another payment of INR 1000 post which I again complained to resolve the issue as I did not want to pay for the mistake the bank has made.

                  Since from few months i have not been able to do the further payment as the bank has introduce a new IVR menu which ask for the type of card (Visa or Master Card) and the validity date of the card which i dont know as i have never received the Standard Chartered card, it is same in case of online payment as well.

                  It has continued in this manner for months when we complained to the Nodal Office about the issue to which I received a call from Standard Chartered Bangalore office, Mr. Anandam Das[protected] who assured me that I would get a call back from the service team in 2 to 3 working days and its 1 month now that I did not receive the call. I have received one more statement which says my outstanding balance is INR 10885. My actual outstanding was INR 4000 in Barclay card, I have paid INR 6000 till date and current outstanding is INR 10885 because the bank has faulted to deliver my new card and send the card information. I need compensation of the current outstanding(INR 10885) + INR 2000 which I have paid extra till date.

                  I demand an apology letter from the bank as because of the bank's faulty system my CIBIL rating has got spoiled and i will not be eligible for any kind of loan facility in future. I also demand the closure of my card with Standard Chartered Bank and compensate for everything happened till date.

                  With utmost faith in consumer court I Hereby request you to kindly help us out from this.

                  Barclays bank Credit card — Demand extra payments 2000/- 3 days delay payments

                  Dear Sir,

                  we have a barclays card, Card no [protected], Raju Gupta
                  June months purchase 30000/- amounts of electronics goods. Payments date was 9/7/2008
                  we are dropped cheque Rs. 30000/- and effective balance was available in my bank account (HDFC)
                  8/7/2008 HDFC bank was debit Rs.840 in my accounts some bank charged after that 9/7/2008 barclays cheque was dishonours. 9/7/2008 effective balance was 29672/- (bank statements arround)

                  After that we received a SMS from barclays bank 13/7/2008 my cheque is dishonour. we are called at barclays call centre 14/7/2008 and same date transfer Rs.[protected] cheque bounsing charged) by net banking.

                  barclays demand addition 2004/- with in 3 days finance charged...we are request number of time at barclays call centra, please waived my addition charged but we are not received any answers.

                  please help as resolve this matter

                  Standard Chartered Bank — Card Never delivered

                  Hi Sir / Mam,

                  I want to bring my complaint in front of you. In 2005 Feb I have applied to a SCB Manhattan Credit Card, and there was no verification being performed for the card. In April when I got shifted to Hyd I again called SCB to check about my application of the Credit Card. And then Customer Care person informed me that card is already delivered and its being used. I simply asked him, without Verification and without my Signature and ID Proof how the card was delivered. Even that time I asked them if they have blocked the card or not, but they did not blocked that card till then, and then when I asked them to check how it was delivered without verifying the details to whom the card it delivered they were not having answer for that. Now they again started calling me and are forcing me to pay Rs 1 Lacs for the same amount.
                  As even I have asked them if the card was never delivered then why should I pay for it.

                  I would appreciate if you can look into this matter.

                      From my account 30,000.00 rupees were deducted idfc mutual fund SIP, without my knowledge, i have been told my Mr. Vikas Dwivedi that my SIP was stopped long back, on discussing this matter with him, he give lame answers, and till today 21 days have passed nothing has been done about that, he does NOT pick up phone calls, he does not care to reply to emails and sms, standard chartered is such a premium bank but Mr. Vikas Dwivedi does not seem to care about the inconvenience his attitude and silly mistakes have caused me. I am sick and tired of running around this man, when i visited the bank today, then also he does not seem to bother about the matter much, i angrily walked out of the bank.

                      when i have stopped SIPs, there should be no deduction and bank employee should immediately help out the customer, it is definitely not happening in kanpur branch.

                      please look into tthe matter ASAP

                        I would like to bring to your notice that I had Standard chartered Bank CC no # [protected].After buying card, few days later I was offered one package worth 4000(INR).

                        But I never recieved that package . To confirm that I called ycustomer care center after about 1-2 months since I was getting payment reminders.I had talked to executive and

                        I got assurance from executive that the package has been sent back to their office so they will cancel that and my dues will be cleared.

                        Still after 150 days I got call from recovery department saying that my name will be sent to defaulters list since I didnt made the payment.



                        Also I complaint the bank and they confirmed that package was not delivered and they recieved it back but they cannot cancel my package.
                        They are asking me to settle the outstanding amount and they are not sure if they can deliver me the package.

                        This is extremely sad.

                        I have to pay for something which I never recieved and this is completely their fault.


                        Following are my concerns:

                        1) If I haven't recieved the package then why should I pay for it?

                        2) I accept that I informed after 30 days about this but why did executive confirmed me that dues will be cleared

                        at that time.

                        3) Why didn't your executive informed me via a phone cal that package cant be cancelled ?

                        4) Apart from this whenever your executive called me did they ever discussed me about this issue in detail ? or did they

                        tracked it from their end after recieving the cancellation request.

                        5) And even after assuring me that my request for cancellation is accepted why did you forwarded my details for defaulters

                        without even intimating me that package can't be cancelled.

                        If I would have been communicated this on that day itself or intimated then this could have been resolved a long back.

                        Its not that I am using only one credit card , I own credit card from HDFC, CITI bank as well.

                        But this kind of wrong communication is for the first time .

                        Apart from this recovery department is threatening to close my account and send my name to RBI for
                        defaulters list.

                          Respected , I Dr S B Sharma had a EMI credit card from SCB , it was doing well , but since last 1 year I am not receiving any hard copy or soft copy of monthly statement but i was receiving SMS alert so i was paying the EMI for the same , since last 6 -7 months I am not receiving the SMS alert also ., after repeated request they are not sending the same and i am getting regular calls from collection deptt. So I had talked with one officer of SCB and he told that all the charges will be cancelled so I paid all the dues in march , but again same thing continues , and i am again started getting calls from collection centre , when i talked about the same they told me that they stopped sending hard copy so i had again updatted my email , but till now i am not getting the soft copy or SMS alert but getting the collection calls daily . kindly do the needful , my EMI card no is [protected]

                              My Standard Chartered Credit Card got denied/rejected with no explanation and no reason.

                              I was given the same excuse - - Does not meet bank policy norms

                              How are they allowed to keep our documents and not give us an appropriate reason as to why we "did not meet bank policy norms"? I have provided them every thing, every document and every formality was fulfilled and I was well above the minimum salary requirements as well. In fact, they even called my parents who are abroad and asked them INANE stupid questions like, 'are you aware that your daughter has applied for a credit card?' and 'do you approve?'!!! Excuse me, but I am a full grown independent working woman of 28 years who does not need the permission or financial backing of my parents.

                              Besides this ridiculousness, the person who called me after I raised a hue and cry on their social networks promised to give me a reference code, but I am yet to receive an email. This just goes to show the level of mediocrity that they have at Standard Chartered.

                              Since I don't have a reference number due to the unprofessional attitude of their employees, I only have my Credit Card Application Status number - #GFD6013BRK01

                              Utterly disgusted with Standard Chartered and I'm telling everyone I know about their malpractices.

                              Same here. I also applied for a Manhattan card and they called me 5-6 times till they collected all documents and after that no response. I later learnt that SCB was unable to offer me the card at this point of time and can try again later ! Why would I even bother to try again with such banks who doesnt value any new customer.

                                This is to inform you that approximately 2 years back I had opened a savings account with StanC bank and at that point of time, I was also given a credit card, the details of which are as below:

                                Valid Thru: 11/16

                                I was assured by the bank people that there are NO charges at all for the credit card. I have used it only once which I had already paid at that time within the due date. After that, it has been more than 12 months that I have not used this card for any transactions.

                                10 months earlier I had closed my Savings account.

                                Now, I have been charged 750/- as annual charges (which I knew wont apply in my case). The bank is now trying to debit my savings account to resolve my credit card dues. But as I currently don't have any savings account, the amount gets returned every time and my card gets charged at all times.(late fees, return charges,interest etc...)

                                When I called up the helpline for credit cards, I was told that I should have informed the credit card department that I have closed my savings account. That sounded a bit rude to me. I do not think its the customer's responsibility to call up the different departments of the bank to provide updates.

                                I, myself have worked in a bank in operations department for 2 years and I believe that all details of any account is easily available from the system itself.

                                So, I requested them to please investigate my issue if the charges(return charges, late charges and fees etc. including accrued interest) can be reversed at the earliest.

                                As far as the annual charges are concerned, although I was informed different while taking the new credit card, I don't mind paying the annual charge of Rs. 750.00.

                                I also visited the Branch Manager of StanC bank couple of weeks back. Told everything and the manager supported me.

                                Today I got a reply from the manager saying that "the charges are the annual fee that is debited and therefore the same cannot be reversed."

                                Now my question is:

                                Why will the amount get debited from my Savings account where I don't even have one?
                                I did not provide any standing instructions(SI) to the bank regarding this.

                                First of all, the bank tries to debit my savings account which I dont have and then when this gets returned, late fee, charges, interest and etc all kinds of things are levied to make the amount from 750/- to 6033/-

                                When I have not given any SI to the bank, they should not debit a pseudo savings account which does not even exist to harass the customer.

                                Moreover, when I started this discussion with you, my outstanding was showing 4186/- and now it has risen to 6033/- or more.
                                The logic says that if the decision has been delayed from your end even after mailing you 3 times, thats not the customers fault. Logically speaking the account should have made frozen when the discussions started.

                                Hence, frankly speaking, I see multiple faults from the banks end.
                                So, I demand a proper reasoning and an authentic address, contact of some office in Bangalore, where I can visit someone PERSONALLY to resolve this credit card issue.

                                Standard Chartered - Credit Card — Wrong Bill

                                Never trust this bank and their 5% cashback CARDS. How they cheat.
                                1. Complicated billing which shows following charges in DR & CR which never matches.
                                2. Some Government charges ... God knows what are they ?
                                3. Transaction charges at 13% ?
                                4. Platimum Charges ? nobody knows what are these.
                                5. You have to play bill 3 days earlier the final date ? no one will tell you this, Customer service will tell that they need 3 days to process the check and will charge un justified amount of charges on this.
                                6. 5% cashback is the umbrella under which they will take 100% extra from you.

                                Beware
                                Avoid this bank. else get convinced by them and pay 100% extra. Choice is up to you.

                                not sure if government can help me in this to recover my lost amount.

                                  I am using SCB credit card for more than ten years. In March, the bank replaced my existing card which
                                  I got with a great difficulty through the SCB branch. I immediately called the bank helpline and sought activation of my card on 30.03.2013 which still has now been done. But when I contacted bank they said it is active as per their information. I have tried this new card at a number of outlets but the transaction are always denied. SCB MAY SORT OUT THE CONUNDRUM.

                                  Further, while no bill having been raised for the earlier card for the month of March, now I am getting almost three/four SCB messages everyday that the new card is "overdue" and make secure payment
                                  To avoid additional late charges. I fail to understand as to how I am being asked to make payment without raising a proper bill by the bank. The bank branch people tell me not to pay as the current statement is showing credit balance against the earlier card. I would appreciate an urgent response from the bank.
