I am holding a Standard Chartered Bank Platinum Cash back card (Master Card) . Even thou its a cash back card for some transactions am receiving Cash back but for some am not receiving. Am mentioneing here of the same Merchant same online mode of Net payement. when discussing with customer care they are just bluffing.
I hate this cash back card. if you could not give the cash back then what is this just fooling customers like this.

    Hi,

    I was offered the lifetime free credit card from Standard Chartered Manhattan bank and told me that there are so many attractive offers on this card. After receiving the card and waiting for sometime I found that there is no single attractive offer on that card at that time I choose to cancle the card and not to keep that one. So I called the guy who helped me to give that card. He asked me to wait for sometime to have good offers as there is no loss in keeping the card.

    Now suddenly after 2 years without any prior notice, they have sent me the statement with annual charges saying that there will be annual charges from this year. So I asked them I am not using your card and cancel the card as well as revise the charges as I was initially offered the life time free credit card. But now they are not discussing properly and not replying to email and keep sending the statement with more & more amount with annual charges, late payment charges & interest.

    Standard Chartered Manhattan are no less than robbers. This is just for some other people who can be aware before getting bank account or credit card.
    They have made me totally frustrated by keep sending statements which makes no sense. And not replying to emails.

      I applied for a personal loan and home loan top up from 3 private banks. During investigation on my existing loans, CIBIL mentioned that, I have a ongoing / outstanding home loan of Rs 12.9 Lacs from Standard Chartered Bank, which is very incorrect. I don't owe any thing from Standard Chartered Bank. I written 6 times to Standard Chartered Bank, Nodal Office, head office for clarification on this. They acknowledged all of my emails, but didn't replied to any one of them. I failed to get loans from other banks due to this reason. Due to this my land deal was cancelled and I lost as much as Rs 2 Lacs as profit. Now the same land price has been increased by 20%. I contacted them thrice on nodal office, but they are just delaying the matter by buying time and doing nothing. Date of my 1st Email to standard chartered bank officials was on 17th December 2012. So it's now 1.5 months and nothing has happened on this regards. I have lost peace of mind. I have spent as much as 3 months now in just investigations. I am completely frustrated due to this blame. My credit history has been destroyed due to false information on CIBIL. Standard Chartered bank doesn't respond to my Emails, neither they give any clarifications on calls.

        I had opted for an EMI on my credit cards spend with Standard Chartered Bank. I made the payment of my first EMI one day before the due date thro' net banking...I see a huge interest and late payment charges levied in my next statement..I was told that there is a separate EMI account on the net thro' which I had to pay...so I was levied charges though the funds had reached them ontime just because it went to a wrong account and despite many requests of mine they only reversed 25% charges...The next month I cautiously paid three days in advance to avoid this menace...This time when I called them to check whether the funds have been transferred to the EMI account they asked me to call back after two days since as per them it takes two days for the funds to get credited...yes I agree theoritically all banks say it takes two days but with my other credit cards I have seen that the funds are credited to the account the same day...Either this banks way of working is inefficient or its a way of extracting money from prompt customers like me...Again the next month I was levied late payment and interest charges....Again the same cycle of calling up customer care, writing to their services department....I dont know how many mails I have written to them....Finally I received a mail from them that the charges have been reversed and it would reflect in the next statement.....I was relieved...but only for a short span...again in the next statement I see that they have levied late payment and interest although I promptly paid much before the due date.....no response from their services team for almost ten working days (although they claim that they respond within seven working days !!!!!) Even the charges which was promised to be reversed in their mail was not reversed and on top of that additional charges....again I had to call their call centre and managed to get that month's late payment and interest charges reversed...I decided to close all my cards with this bank and called up their call centre and foundout the preclosure amount on my EMI and confirmed with them and immediately paid up full amount including late payment and interest for no fault of mine just because i could not take this harassment anymore and put a request for closure....Today I again see late payment and interest debited to my account....!!!!!!! Again the same story of calling them and asking them to reverse.....
        This is my worst experience with credit cards...STANDARD CHARTERED BANK'S WAY OF ADMINISTERING THINGS IS NOT AT ALL CUSTOMER FRIENDLY..THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY CONSIDERATION FOR PROMPT CUSTOMERS....THEIR SERVICES TEAM DOES NOT RESPOND TO QUERIES/ ESCALATIONS.....IT HAS BEEN A HORRIFYING EXPERIENCE FOR ME WITH THIS BANK.....MY TIME, PHONE CALLS, MONEY HAVE BEEN WASTED ENDLESSLY EVERY MONTH TILL DATE FROM WHEN I OPTD FOR AN EMI .....I JUST HOPE ITS ENDED NOW ATLEAST......AND THEY DO NOT TROUBLE ME ANYMORE......

        I am facing same issues although I am paying my credit card bills before time I have come to know that 1738/- rs has been chrged till now on Insta buy (EMI card) I am also planning to file a consumer complaint if charges are not reversed.

          Hello,

          My name is Nimesh Patel and I'm from Surat, Gujarat. I received many calls (1.5 months ago) for new Standard Charted Bank's lifetime credit card, this is sound interesting to me and I agreed. Then the sales person named "Keyur" collect my documents from my home for further process of credit card. This sales person is from "Saineel Agency" (maybe) address Nanpura, Surat his contact no. is "[protected]". After submission of documents my verification and other process was done but after almost 1.5 months still I don't received any credit card or call from agency / bank. I called Keyur's cell no. regularly but no one received the calls. After a week today somebody received my call and said Keyur left his job and I'm his colleague, you just give your name and contact no. we call you later but I don't believe they call me back so I request him to tell me about the status of my credit card application. Some body telling him from background, tell him call after half an hour, but I continue to talk and asked the same. After a while that background person took the phone and tell me " tumhe samaj mein nahi ata, apna naam aur number de do hum adhe gante ke baad call karenge"

          I just surprised with this misbehavior with me and I just said him you guys don't pick my phone from last 3-4 days and I don't believe you call me back so tell my status. He continued his misbehavior and end the call. I call him again and said I don't need any credit card so you just give my documents early as possible. He used abusive language this time and said to me "nahi dene ayenge, tumse jo karte banta hai kar lo" I asked his name and warn to complaint against him, he said his name "Dipak" (maybe) owner of this agency and also said "jahan complaint karna hai kar le ja. dum hai to samne aa ke dikha" and end the call.

          So, please do something about this misbehaving owner of this agency, I also concerned about my documents and want back because it's possible to used of my documents for any illegal practices.

            Hi All

            I got a call from SC bank 1 week back telling me that a fraud transaction of 10000 rupees on card happened from france a night before.Though the guy over the phone said i wont have to pay up the amount and they have blocked my card immediately. I told him i did not get any sms about the transaction either.
            However 2 things bothering me are:

            1:The helpdesk lady said they have not received any merchant slips yet and are waiting for that and investigating. which still says that they might ask me to pay if they receive merchant slip.

            2. It is been a week and i have not got any further call on any updated, not even to send off my new card.(which by the way I totally do not want to use anymore)

            3.If they ask me to pay later, what are the steps i should take ?

            Since most of the people have had the same problems , can anyone please tell me what will happen next ?

              I, Rahul Jain, was a credit card with Standard Chartered Bank. I had cancelled the credit card and at the time of cancellation the card had a credit balance of Rs. 4,544.57. After repeated request for months, the credit balance was processed and a cheque/ demand draft was sent to me.

              The cheque/ demand draft was collected by my office security but they misplaced the courier and it is still not traceable. Therefore, because of negligence on part of my office security, I have still not the cheque/ demand draft.

              I wrote my first e-mail to card.[protected]@sc.com on 27 December 2012 requesting them to issue necessary instruction to stop the payment of the cheque/ demand draft so that it does not go into wrong hands. I also requested in the e-mail to issue me a new cheque/ demand draft or to directly deposit the amount into my bank account (details of which was also shared). After this e-mail also, I have written a number of e-mails to have the status update.

              In spite of writing repeated e-mails, I have not got any response to my request. I am highly disappointed with the quality of service your team provides. Especially, their answers are far away from the question raised. Either they don’t understand English or they don’t want to understand customer’s problem.

              I have even sent a fax also to the relevant department but even they did not bother to respond to it.

              My clear requests to you are as follows:

              1. Please issue necessary instructions to stop the payment of cheque/ demand draft already issued; and

              2. Issue me a new cheque/ demand draft for that amount. Alternatively, I would prefer to have the amount directly credited to my bank account. Let me know if you want me to share the bank account details.

              I hope that my request will be taken care of by you this time.

                Kindly note that I was using your credit card no mentioned above in subject line. Please note that this card was fraudulently used by someone else on 21 Oct 2011 in the night time. Early morning of 22nd Oct 2011 when I checked the SMS, I immediately informed to bank and got the card blocked and also raised the dispute form to your head office.
                But in this case nobody from your side was ready to hear me and told that I have to pay the full money as my card has been swiped and this is not bank’s responsibility. And they started to debit the interest and late payment charges to my card however the dispute form was raised. The original disputed transaction was for Rs 2500.00 and they debited me total Rs 7721 in the month of Nov 2012.
                Your executive also effect ted my CIBIL rating without any information to me. During this I had written so many emails to your customer support but they didn’t replied. Even transaction slip was not signed by me that can be verified by my signature in bank record.
                When I came to know that you guys had effected my CIBIL rating I again wrote so many emails to your office to settle the amount but your executive told that I have to pay full amount otherwise they will not clear my CIBIL rating. I was really shocked to hear this and was in mental tension. OK I decided to pay full amount as I am a heart patient and was getting too much mental harassment by your executives on phone and also I was being blackmailed by your executives to pay the full amount and they were saying that they can settle the amount but they will not clear the CIBIL rating and I will be having problems in future also.

                I paid full amount Rs 7721.00 on 7 Dec 2012 via net banking and asked officer Mr. Ravi Shankar / Mr. Hemant Anand at Gurgaon office to arrange the No dues certificate and to clear the CIBIL rating as I can’t bear too much tension and also there is no other bank outstanding in my name.
                Sir since last one and half months, I have written so many mails to your customer care and made more than 200 phone calls to these executives at phone no[protected]/51 to Mr. Ravi Shankar and Mr. Hemant Anand but every time they are saying me to call again next day for clearance. Sir, even after paying full amount nothing is being done in my case and my CIBIL rating is down just because of you guys.
                It looks that you are misusing the CIBIL rating to blackmail the customers. I still could not understand that if the amount is disputed, how you can forward that to CIBIL even if you don’t have the proper proofs for the transaction. For a fraud transaction of Rs 2500.00 I have paid Rs 7721.00 and still I have spent more than Rs 500.00 on phone calls (and mental harassment also) and looking for the no dues certificate and my heard earned money.
                I hope you will look into the issue and resolve it ASAP.
                Thanks for developing a dis-satisfied customer.
                I will never suggest anybody to go with Standard Chartered Bank for any financial activity as nobody is ready to listen the customer in your big financial institution.

                Hi Sir,

                I have cleared all the credit card dues as per the agreement. I have the settlement letter.But still I am getting phone calls from standard charterd bank (080-[protected])for the balance due which is unnecessary charges likes tax and others chareges for the different accounts which is not agreed.

                They are harassing from last 2 years.

                2-3 yrs back self received a call from the SCB call center informing me that they are upgrading my Titanium Card to Emirates Platinum card without any charges and fees. Since it was free upgrade self agreed as also they had promised host of free things with the card. However the card was never received. As self is an NRI self has seldom been in India to check. With the bank express directive for NRI credit card holders being that they have to agree for auto debit from the account rather than being billed, the same was agreed upon and given a signed document to the bank for the same.

                This year the bank decided to put a hold on the savings account for KYC purpose. The annual fee for the above card was declined due to the same. Now the SCB is troubling with the demands for the card annual fee the one which was never received and the interest fee thereafter, went to the bank and they say they cant do anything about it as this is to be taken care by Card Services, called up the card services many a times without any success.

                Send a written complain to the card services of SCB and the issue is still not taken care. Self will be travelling today and with limited access to communication, informed the same to the bank and their customer services but they are not ready to resolve the issue.
                I am giving one star here but truthfully STANC credit card does not even deserve that.

                Worst customer care i have seen in life. Its Mental harrasment to call them. I have some 5000 rs credit and 12000 points and they have blocked my card and now they are neither unlblocking it or giving me a new card. Just want to eat my credit.

                I am Aman Rai res;- b-53/2, Sainik nagar, Nawada, Uttam nagar, New |Delhi-110059. your bank issue me a Platinunm Credit Card but pin number is not issued, i am so many time telephonically approach to your call centre but they are not provide me pin number. so, i have never used your credit card even one time. I have recieve your message on my mobile two days ago that i have to pay statement outstanding rs.1, 138.86 on dt.09/07/2015.why i pay this amount while i am not using your card from the first day. my phone no is [protected].please stop the statement and any type of transiction regarding for this card. I hope you consider this case as early as possible.

                Twice I tried to make payment for BSNL land line bill payment of[protected] and my transaction id were [protected] and [protected] respectively. Both the times the transactions failed with the remarks:"sorry.we are unable to process your transaction. please contact us at [protected]@billdesk.com" Please let me know the reasons for failed transactions.

                Pre closure

                I had req for a Preclosure on the 27th of july. I requested it on high priority. Its been a week and there has been no response. What kind of service is that?. Does it take so many days to send one email, Pathetic .

                  Dear All,

                  This is Ashish Singh From Lucknow. I got similar kind of fraud transaction with my SC credit card. In One (06th Dec'12) month back one Friday late night 12 pm i got 10 sms's that somebody did online transaction on my behalf in $ (~30K in RS) 10 times. I called up bank immediately and asked them to stop my card and even block payments. They said it will take 48 hours to claim from merchant. after that they asked me to fill dispute from. they said we investigate and sent me bill copy which has online merchant name "HOSTGATOR.COM PS://SIGNUP.HUS". Bank has not even traced the IP Address of that person. I am really going under mental trauma and mental torcher from Standard Chartered Bank. Kindly do not get Credit card or any service from this anti -customer care bank.

                  Please guide me where I file a complaint against this bank so that necessary action taken & I don’t need to pay this fraud transaction amount.

                  Standard chartered bank/ credit card — Misuse of Card Info online

                  Dear Sir,
                  This is Sanjib Dutta having a Bigbazzar ICICI credit card would like to declare in regards to the current payable outstanding Rs, 14971.00 (Due date – 07.06.09) against this card, vide card no. [protected] that refer to my request no.SR[protected] dated 18.05.09, out of this total due amount Rs, 14000.00 (cumulative of last eight transactions) was unauthorized transactions by the cyber criminals, which was notified by your charge back division on the very moment and informed me and the card was blocked by them on my request before the merchant’s claim. But, surprisingly the payment has been made towards the merchant after two days and now my a/c has been debited for the same and I have been asked to pay for that before any solution of the dispute.
                  While I have already made G.D.E at Jadavpur P.S, Kolkata, vide no.2274 dated 19.05.09 and again added information to the same G.D.E no on 22.05.09 regarding the misuser, which also was notified at Kalighat P.S, Kolkata by G.D.E no. 1653 dated 19.05.09.
                  In this regards this is to inform you once again that the misuser has been spotted as Mr. Birju Sharma an employee of M/s SHEEMER direct sales agency D.S.A of Standard Chattered Bank of 10/B, Mukherjee Para Lane. Kolkata -700026 (Proprietor- Mr. Manish Dhir and Mrs. Nisha Patel; Ph[protected] and cell- [protected]) who collected card information from me on behalf of his employer after an appointment by their tele caller Mrs. Shreya Ghosh for a new card of Standard Chattered Bank and stolen the information (card no and CVV no.) and used on line. The confession is recorded at Kalighat P.S, Kolkata in G.D.E no. 1653.
                  Hence, I will not pay for the discussed disputed amount, since the theft is a abnormal issue and beyond control and admitted by the thief.
                  I would like to request you to release me from this liability and take the necessary legal action against the criminal for the recovery of the amount and their punishment.

                    Hi,

                    I received SMS of the transaction on my Manhattan Stan Chart card for 62,233 Rs. dated 9 Jan 2013. I called the customer service immediately to report the transaction as fraud. Transaction is done in Bangalore and I'm in Pune. Customer service blocked the card and assured me that transaction will not appear on my card. She also placed the request for new card.

                    On 11th Jan, member from fraud detection team collected the documents from me but said transaction is already appearing on my card and will be reflected on my new card. He said I can call the customer service and ask for temporary credit. I did the same, reference number for that request is [protected].

                    I'm surprised that even when I reported the fraud immediately, they did nothing to catch the person and transaction is on my card. Now I see the charge on my new card and also temporary credit is not applied yet. Fraud is possible because there is no security what so ever in the card. Anyone can easily replicate the card and use it where ever they want.

                    I will not be able to pay these fraudulent charges on my card. I need help from consumer forum to remove the charges from my card.

                    Update for those who are in same boat like me. Temp credit provided is now permanent. I see the CR and Debit charge of the disputed amount on my new replacement card making it Zero for that transaction. I also see the credit of "Replacement Fee" which was charged before. Thanks to Stand Chart. Now only waiting for secured credit card to avoid this thing again.

                      Hi,
                      Standard Chartered credit cards are one of the worst cards anyone can get, i have purchased my mobile on EMI scheme and for no reason and without my consent they created seperate account for it and every time i m making payment against my card they are showing that account is unpaid and they are charging late fee and interest on it where my card has credit balance and this is happening when i have written them several mails and lodge my complaint with their customer care for malpractices they are carrying out.
                      Last month i had made payment against my card and sent out screen shot of the same to their customer care and wrote them clearly that it is the final payment and requested for closure of my card, rather than acting on my mail they again did the same month in this month and sent me the wrong bill again.
                      I fed up of Standard chartered and if their s forum which can act on complain, i urge them to quickly act on it and i will request to RBI to relook at the banking license of such fraud banks.

                        This is with reference to outstanding amount showing in my CIBIL report for credit card (account no [protected]) which I had in 2005 as free card without annual fees which has been closed same year.

                        In last 7 years SCB has not reported me that this credit card is still active neither sent me monthly/quarterly account statement where I can know any outstanding amount pending.

                        now am applying for loan where in my CIBIL report it shows outstnding of Rs.24673/= as outstanding where as its a closed card even it has no annual fees how its shows this big amount.

                        Request to clear this matter and close to show my CIBIL report status as clear

                          Dear Sir,

                          I have two SC Credit Card (Gold & Platinum). In Dec'12 Statement SC generate combined Bill amount Rs.13891.36 (for Gold Card Rs.12950.30 & Platinum Card Rs.941.06), payment due date is 26/12/12. But due to my mistake I paid online payment, both the amount dt.10/12 & 11/12 paid in Platinum Card. After opening online position I see that one card (Platinum) shows Cr balance & the other one (Gold ) shows Dr Balance. At this moment I contact through e-mail to SC credit card customer care officer to revert the amount Rs.12950.30 from Platinum card to Gold card. In the mean time during Dec'12 I used Platinum card so many times(total amount Rs.4044.06). SC denied to transfered the full outstanding amount Rs.12950.30 from Platinum to Gold card. In Jan'13 Statement they transfered balance amount Rs.8906.24, and claiming above mentioned late fees (Rs. 700/-) with interest (Rs.643.49) and S.tax (Rs.166.06). Amounting Rs.4044.06 which was use during Dec'12 will pay in Jan'13. Why they adjust the amount in previous paid amount.

                          My question is, is threre any ritght to charge late fees, interest & S.tax, where I paid the full outstanding amount in advance. Because both the cards are belongs to me. But in mistake two payments are in same card.

                          Please guide me.

                            Hi,
                            i am a new customer of standard charted credit card, having MANHATTAN platinum card(Card No-[protected]).
                            Bank have charged on me Interest of 4715 and 700 late payment fee, whereas delay was from bank in giving reply on my mails and without given a solution they closed my complaint([protected]).

                            1. got call from standard Charted bank to take insurance policy of royal sundram, i.e.16k premium, this will be debited from my card on installment basis. so i opted that policy on installment facility basis.
                            2. But in November month card statement hole amount of 16k was debited instead of installment, i raised my complaint but without given solution i got message that my complaint no [protected] is closed.
                            3. I wrote mails but instead of given a solution of my problem they charged interest of 4,715.60/- and late payment fee of 700/-.
                            4. Now i am getting daily calls from bank recovery team for payment. i am a platinum card holder of ICICI, SBI and HDFC. No fraud record.

                            Now i want to close my card with complete payment but not getting reply from bank. Interest and late fee should not be charged on me. i have written mail to head.service" <head.[protected]@sc.com>, "customer.care" <customer.[protected]@sc.com> and Principal.[protected]@sc.com.

                            Is there any other contact person who can solve my problem and help me to come out of this kind o[censored]norganized bank.

                            Standard Chartered/ Classic Credit card — Late Fee Charges

                            Dear,

                            This mail is in regards to the Late Fee charges ,as i am your Credit Card Customer of (Classic Holder)Containing Card No:: [protected]
                            I had used(Swiped) the card in the month of Oct End for amounting of 568/-(Indian Currency). werein my biling date as per you is 22nd of every month , But by fourtnate i had not received any Credit Card Bill Statement for Particular month and i am waiting since two month for same at last I called your customer care department and paid the bill on 21st Dec -07
                            Still i had been charged for late fee , which according to me is not good service to provide with Reputed Bank inspite when its no fault of mine

                            Please take action against the same and kindly withdraw the late fee .

                            Written letter to ICICI bank:
                            This reference to my credit card no.[protected], which has due date is 21-Oct-2009, due amount is Rs. 2521/-.As I have deposited cheque (cheque No. 676153, Bank of Baroda, Branch Jacob circle, Mumbai of an amount Rs.3000/-) on dated 12-Oct -2009 against you due.Whch I deposited or handed over directly to your cheque collection office which is located at ICICI Bhandarkar Road, Pune-411004.and also I confirmed they (cheque collection dept) have entry on dated 12-Oct-2009.But still after,23 (i.e. till today) I am getting SMS that my cheque has not been cleared.
                            As, when I got your first SMS which is on dated 23-Oct-2009.I talk to your call center guys two times, they said we got the cheque, but cheque outstation.
                            While I directly deposited to your ICICI Bank collection department on 12-Oct-2009(i.e. 9 days before my due date).
                            After explaining this they (call center guys) said that this my first time, so we will waived off your late payment fees & Interest.
                            After all these talk, your bank charged me same Late fee (which is 400+St 41) Inertest Fee (290+29.92) .This wrong statement. Kindly waive off my late fee & interest and give me confirmation for the same. Before getting confirmation I will not going to pay your due amount for this month and I will cancel my card. It is deficiency in your services, because of your negligence, I going to bare this charges, which very wrong.
                            Kindly confirm, at earliest. Otherwise I am going to take legal action through consumer forum.

                            Credit Card — late fee interest charged

                            I, Kamlesh Bellani, holder of ICICI Credit card No. [protected], wants to complain regarding late payments fee charged for the bill of month Feb, 2011.                               Standard Chartered — wrong statement of credit card

                              This is to complaint that i carry a Standard Chartered Credit card which i am not using since 4-5 years but i get a wrong statement about the amount used from the credit card and wrong charges are applied...i am being paying those amount by mistake for the ones i have never used...my extra money is there in your bank which i have never used so i want all my money back which i am being paying unknowingly...pay my money back else i will take legal actions against Standard Chartered..

                                मै स्टैंडर्ड चार्टट बैंक का क्रेडीट कार्ड ग्राहक हूँ. पिछले पाँच महिने से कुछ कारणवश मै भुगतान करने में असमर्थ रहा. मगर जैसे ही बैक की तरफ से संपर्क हुवा मैने 7000 का पेमेंट करवा दिया. परंतु तीन-चार दिनों के बाद बैक से बार बार धमकी भरे फोन आने लगे. अब बैक की अफसर कहती है की, वह कॉल आप के लिए नहीं था. मै उनसे माफी का पत्र माँग रहा हूँ तथा मेरे कार्ड पर किसतरह से इंटरेस्ट चार्ज किया है उसका ब्यौरा भी. लेकीन वह अभी तक मुझे दिया नहीं गया.
                                हां. मेरा बदला हुवा पता और फोन नं. मैने बैक को अपडेट करवाने की कोशीश भी करी थी. मगर उनकी तरफ से हो न सका.
                                मै अभी भी पेमेंट करवाना चाहता हूँ मगर उसके बाद भी बैंक मेरे कार्ड की सुविधाएँ बंद ही रखेगी ऐसा मुझे कहा गया है. अगर ऐसा है तो मेरी रकम पर्सनल लोन में बदलवाकर आसान किश्तो में चुकाने की सुविधा मै माँग रहा हूँ. मगर उसके लिए भी मुझे इन्कार कर दिया गया है. कृपया सहायता तथा योग्य मार्गदर्शन करें.

                                  I have done the complete payment of my credit card and surrendered the card enhancement pack as well as my credit card

                                  Still amount of Rs.3401.09 is being levied on my Instabuys Classic Card #[protected]. This was the card enhancement pack which I have surrendered with all the dues clear.

                                  My credit card number is: [protected]

                                  When I have done the complete payment and surrendered my card why are the unnecessary charges being levied on me.

                                  I am not willing to do a further payment to Standard Chartered because each time they keep imposing unnecessary charges.

                                    There were fraud transactions on my standard chartered credit card for an amount of around rs. 15000 between 9:28pm and 9:33pm on 22 December. When I called up customer care they gave me reference number 546627 and asked to call in 2 days.. they also confirmed that these transactions are towards AIRTEL..

                                    I request standard chartered team to wipe of this amount from amount outstanding.

                                      One of my credit card 9SCB Manhattan) is in dispute. When I last used it in 2006, the bank applied financial charge because of late payment by 1 day. I called up customer care and informed them to revert the charges that they agree. However, the charges was never reverted and therefore I asked the bank to close my account. Instead of closing the account, they keep billing me by rolling over the financial charges. Finally, they marked the account as cancelled 6 months after that and the outstanding then was around Rs 3500 (with only financial charges for each month and rollover). Now few months back in 2012, they have marked my account as defaulter in CIBIL with writeoff of Rs 59000. What am I supposed to do in such case when there was no correspondence from the bank all these years and the only outstanding in my account all these years was the financial charges. How can I correct my CIBIL records? What is the settlement process and what is the maximum liability that I should bear?

                                        I have a salary account in Standard Chartered Bank and applied for Manhattan Credit card at around beginning of 2011. I was using Standard Chartered Manhattan Credit Card for about one and a half year and was quite satisfied with the services till an interest charge of Rs. 2093.49 along with service tax of Rs. 258.76 was added on 25/10/2012.

                                        In 2012 itself, according to my record I have made transactions of around Rs. 1,40,000 using this card.

                                        I mailed them asking for the reason for such interest charged as I was paying the dues always within the due dates. They did not give any proper reason for such such, reverted about 25% of the charge and specified that I pay the balance interest charged.

                                        As I have a salary account I used to pay using Standard Chartered net banking. Recently I paid a due amount of Rs. 548 against one of my card, the Bank quite funnily without intimating me, paid only the minimum amount due for that card and transferred the balance to another card. Later they charged interest on that card also. This way they are cheating all their customers.

                                        I have already cancelled the Manhattan Credit Card and have decided that I will not pay a single paisa of interest charged falsely.

                                        I will provide all the deatils reagarding my payments made online.

                                        I seek you help against this type of cheating.

                                        Standard Chartered Bank Credit Card. — Interest Charges for no Reasons.

                                        Beware if you have Stanchart Credit Card, the bank charges ramdom interest charges just before or after your bill date that the customer service can't explain. If you question at length they reverse.
                                        This happens even if you make your payments well before the due date. I paid 10 days prior to due date but they still charged interest that they accepted can't be due to me not paying my dues but they could not explain.
                                        There is always something or the other with these guys.
                                        BEWARE!
