Not to let any calls from standared charted bank for credit cards or any subsequent facility. They are charging higher and not keeping their words. Every proceeding is on verbal, while looking to the booklet one can found that their saying were out of box. Even after, when one go for cancellation, their proceeding is very burdensome and contrary to their previous sayings. Be carefull dont register with any credit card facility provided by Standared Chartered bank

    account nos;[protected] my complaint started since 2005 when i use my standard chartered credit card for the purchase of 6 tickets going to palawan on May, 2005 but since my mother had a heart attack, i had to cancel our trip since she was supposed to go with me and my children. i called your customer service to ask how to cancel the said transaction and was advised to go back to the travel agency where i bought the tickets. i did and saw the transaction slip was voided by the agency. when the billing staement of your company arrived on July, 2005, i was shocked to see that i was still being billed for that transaction so i called the customer service and asked how that happen. the customer service was named ANGELA and she advised me to call your dispute department and talked to a certain MS. COLA on Aug. 17, 2005, she said that she would look into the matter and call me. no call came. then another bill arrived on September, 2005 with the same statement and interest of the said transaction so i called your office again and talked to JOY, who gave me MRS. CALIUAG's direct line. i explained to her what happened and asked me to write my grievances and fax the letter, advising me to forward the letter to ERIKA; cc: MRS. CAYA, which i did on Sept. 28,2995. i called ERIKA VILLA again to confirm if she got my fax and she confirmed that she did. another letter arrived from your legal dapartment on Oct.4, 2005 and as soon as i got that letter i called up MRS. FERNANDEZ. FROM THAT TIME UP TO THE PRESENT YOUR COLLECTING AGENCIES ARE HARASSING ME AND I WAS EXPECTING A CALL FROM YOUR OFFICE, BUT NOTHING. you could verify with my other credit cards {bpi and rcbc} that i am a good and a valuable client and you could verify with my history with your company that i pay what i owe. i hope with this email that you would investigate and settle my case, hoping for your immediate response, rizalina ramos espinosa

        THIS IS TO INFORMYOU THAT I OPENED A DEMAT A/C IN THE NAME OF MY WIFE (RAJANI SHARMA), CLIENT CODE- 07S383, WITH STANDARD CHARTERED CAPITAL MARKETS LTD.(STCI CAPITAL MARKETS ), KOLKATA (REPRESENTATIVE'S NAME : MR.RAJESH RAM) IN THE THE MONTH OF DECEMBER, 2009. AND TRANSACTION STARTED IN THE MONTH OF JANUARY, 2010, WITHOUT ANY INTIMATION TO ME. I PAID IN TOTAL RS.85000/- BY CHEQUES TO MR. RAJESH RAM (THE REPRESENTATIVE OF STCI CAPITAL MARKETS). AFTER PAYING MONEY, I WAS REGULARLY ASKING MR. RAJESH RAM TO INFORM THE STATUS OF MY ACCOUNT. THEN HE SENT SOME CONTRACT NOTES ON MY EMAIL, WHICH WAS NOT CLEAR TO ME. I AGAIN ASKED HIM TO GIVE THE LEDGER BUT HE DID NOT GIVE ME ANY LEDGER AND WAS AVOIDING BY SAYING THAT PLEASE WAIT FOR SOME TIME, I WILL GIVE YOU GOOD PROFIT. AFTER THAT MR. RAJESH RAM STARTED AVOIDING MY CALLS.

        IN THE MONTH OF JUNE, 2010 WHEN I AGAIN CONTACTED HIM WITH SOME OTHER PHONE NUMBER THEN MR RAJESH RAM PICKED UP THE PHONE AND SAID THAT HE IS NOT LOOKING AFTER MY ACCOUNT ANY MORE. AND SAID SOME MR. SAMBUDHHA MONDAL (NEW AGENT ) IS LOOKING AFTER MY ACCOUNT. THEN I SAID TO HIM THAT I PAID MONEY TO YOU AND REGULARLY CONTACTING YOU AND NOW AFTER SIX MONTHS YOU ARE SAYING THIS. THEN HE SAID THAT MR. SAMBUDDHA MONDAL HAS MADE A HUGE LOSS IN MY ACCOUNT. I WAS ASTONISHED.

        I IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED MR SAMBUDDAH MONDAL THEN HE SAID THAT ALL THE LOSS
        INCURRED WAS BY MR. RAJESH RAM AND AT THE MOMENT MY ACCOUNT IS LYING IN VERY POOR CONDITION AND NO TRADING IS GOING ON.

        I THEN CONTACTED THE BRANCH MANAGER (MR. BISWAJIT PRAMANIK) AND NARRATED HIM THE WHOLE INCIDENCE. THEN THE FIRST TIME HE PRINTED MY LEDGER ACCOUNT ON[protected] AND GIVEN TO ME. OUT OF 85000/- THE BALANCE WAS ONLY SHOWING M/L RS.13000/- IN THE FORM OF FEW SHARES OF TECH MAHINDRA.

        THE BRANCH MANAGER SAW THE ACCOUNT AND CONFESSED THAT SIR YOUR LOSS IS NOT DUE TO BAD MARKET CONDITION BUT IT IS BAD MONITORING BY US. I THEN TOLD HIM TO REFUND MY MONEY. THEN THE BRANCH MANAGER TOLD ME THAT SIR, PLEASE GIVE ME THREE MONTHS TIME I.E., UPTO OCTOBER, 2010 AND I WILL RECOVER YOUR LOSS.

        AFTER THIS I GAVE THE BRANCH MANAGER AN EMAIL MENTIONING THE MINUTES OF OUR MEETING HELD ON[protected], BUT HE DID NOT REPLY ME.

        AFTER THREE MONTHS, I AGAIN VISITED THE OFFICE OF THE BRANCH MANAGER IN THE FIRST WEEK OF NOVEMBER, 2010, AND ASKED FOR STATUS OF MY ACCOUNT BUT NO IMPROVEMENT WAS THERE AND HE SAID THAT I HAVE HANDED OVER YOUR ACCOUNT TO MY PERSON MR. SAMBUDDHA MONDAL. THEN AGAIN THE BRANCH MANAGER ASKED FOR FURTHER 3 MONTHS TO RECOVER MY LOSS AND TOLD THAT NOW FROM NOVEMBER, 2010 THE MARKET WILL BE ON BOOM SO UPTO DECEMBER,2010, YOUR LOSS WILL BE RECOVERED.

        I AGAIN IN THE MONTH OF DECEMBER, 2010 GAVE HIM AN EMAIL AND REMINDED HIM HIS CONFESSION. BUT DECEMBER, 2010 IS AGAIN ENDED AND HE DID NOT REPLY MY EMAIL.

        ONLY TWO SCRIPTS (MAN INDUSTRIES AND SONATA SOFTWARE) IS PURCHASED AND SOLD AT EVERY 2-3 ALTERNATE DAYS. THIS IS THE WAY STCI CAPITAL MARKETS IS MAKING TRADING IN MY ACCOUNT.

        IT SEEMS THAT THEY ARE ONLY MAKING TRANSACTIONS FOR EARNING THEIR BROKERAGE ONLY AND FULFILLING THEIR TARGETS AND NOT BOTHER FOR MY PROFIT OR LOSS.

        NOW I SHALL REQUEST TO RESOLVE MY PROBLEM AND ARRANGE TO REFUND MY MONEY BACK RS. 85000/- FROM STANDARD CHARTERED CAPITAL MARKETS LTD. AS I AM SERVICEMAN IN A PRIVATE COMPANY AND THE MONEY WAS THE ONLY SAVINGS WE HAD.

        This is the real fraud made by the the Standard Chartered Capital Markets Ltd. The money must be refunded to the investor.
        I think branch manager is real culpit in all this.He is trying to play very smart.Rajesh ram i a executive but main account monitoring should be done by branch manager.
        This seems to be a real fraud, as the executive of standard chartered capital markets, himself is saying that all these are done by the branch manager. It means this is a game played by these people with the money of the client.

        Standard Chartered capital markets must take a quick and solid action as this will ruin their goodwill.

        And the money must be refunded to the client by standard chartered capital markets or by the branch manager or by the representative/s. this must be directed by the stci who is responsible.

            Sir,
            I Prasanna had used Standard chartered credit card in year 2009 bearing No:[protected], Sir, till the card was operation, my due was paid before the due date . SIR, KINDLY NOTE THAT THE WAS LIFE TIME FREE WITHOUT ANY ANNUAL FEE.
            But when Stand chart representative issued a upgraded card i.e MAN HATTAN, he had told that there will be one fee of Rs:3500/-, but my colleagues had got it as LIFE TIME FREE WITHOUT ANY ANNUAL FEE. Sir, So I called Stan Chart Customer Care immediately , NOTE within a span of 2 days . Sir, NOTE the Stand chart started showing the color by long conversation , and started delaying the closure of the MAN HATTAN credit card , SIR, NOTE I HAD REQUESTED FOR CLOSURE & CANCELLATION OF THE CARD.
            AFTER WHICH THEY HAD CONFIRMED THE CANCELLATION OF THE CARD , SIR, PLEASE CONFIRM ME THAT WHETHER THE USE OF THE CARD IS MY WISH OR STAND CHARTERED COMPULSION..
            SIR, THIS PROBLEM STARED WHEN AFTER THE CANCELLATION I RECEIVED THE STATEMENTS OF THE CARD ,SIR NOTE TWO STATEMENTS WAS RECD IN THAT ONE IRRELEVANT CARD NUMBER , SSIR, I THAT I WAS MENTALLY UPSET OF THIS ISSUE BECAUSE AFTER SO MANY CALLS , THEY (STANDARD CHARTERED CUSTOMER CARE/ REPRESENTATIVE) EVEN NEVER BOTHERED TO SENT ANY SOFT COPY OR HARD COPY . SIR, I EVEN I CANCELLED THE COMPLETE SERVICE .
            THEY CONFIRM ME SENT ME THE CLOSURE LETTER LAST WEEK OF MARCH 2011.
            BUT TILL DATE I HAVE RECD ANY THING.
            SIR, KINDLY SOLVE THIS ISSUE I AM MENTALLY DISTRUBURED

              My family and I have more than 20 accounts with Standard Chartered and we are your customers since you were named as Grindlays.
              For last two years I have had numerous problems/issues with your CF branch, Salt Lake,Kolkata branch. I would not like to go into details of previous issues. However I would like to point out a current issue which is not being resolved.
              Our family sponsors a Private University known as CMJ University and we applied to open an account in CF Branch Salt Lake, Kolkata. We applied nearly one and half months back with all supporting documents and we were promised that the account will be open in seven working days. However till now, it has not been opened. DD's worth of Rs. 40 Lacs is lying with me and because these DD's are not being encashed University students are suffering. I have made several phone calls to Ms. Manisha Chakrawarthy who is handling our other accounts. She has lately been avoiding my calls. A week back when she finally took the call (I was using someone else's mobile no) she delegated this work to Mr Sujit, an employee of the same branch. Now this person again is avoiding my calls. I was told that I will get the account no last week itself. I am making calls to the branch on[protected] to speak to the branch manager regarding this matter but no one is picking up the phone for last one week now.
              I am tired of this hide and seek played by your employees who are giving bad name to your bank. I would definitely like to close all my saving/current/fixed accounts with you as soon as possible.

                Hi,

                This is to inform, that DSE calling on behalf of standard chartered giving wrong commitments to sell their cards. | was promised, the welcome gift worth 1000 along with 10 tickets which I can avail either in PVR or Waves cinema.

                When I received the card I got to know about that all the features and benefits are just a trick to sell their cards, no benefits and features being promised are there. I have done the complaint immediately but being told by Customer Support that they require 15days to resolve the issue, obviously to let the cooling off period to pass.

                I have been taken for ride by verification, grievance redressal and customer support team Nothing, being given to me till date. Only resolution being suggested is to cancel the card.
                Can I do anything to retrieve the lost time and energy?

                am fed of the pesky telecallers from standard chartered bank every second day,despite being on the DND list.i wish to bash them up when they call me at random,while i'm in the midst of some some important work at office...
                for heaven sake stop these calls

                  Hi,
                  I hold a Standard Chartered Manhattan card numbered [protected] . In the monthly statement i received for the month of December 2009, an erroneous transaction of 5000 odd rupees was levied on me which i am sure was not mine. I paid my dues minus this transaction, filed a dispute for an investigation of the transaction.My card was de-activated . I was never contacted on my complaint . I have a job which involves a lot of travel and i was abroad till August 2010. When i came back and contacted teh customer support , i never received a satisfactory reply to my concerns.

                  I also found out that this transaction has resulted in a CIBIL entry which har heard from them. this has impacted my loan re-imbursement. I contacted their head office and requested them to suggest a process to sorth this. They kept telling me i will be contacted by some one but that never happened. This has caused a lot of stress and problems for me.

                  Please advice/suggest what can be done

                    I Prasanna working For HAL , I was using Standard Chartered credit card, when there Service was not CORRECT, I closed all my debits and asked them to closed my card . And also lodged a complaint with the customer Care & the complaint No:BL01/12/09/786413/AOI . this started from SEP"2009" after so many discussions the above complaint No:.
                    NOTE:- THE CARD WHICH I WAS USING IS LIFETIME FREE CARD, ON THAT BASES HOW CAN STANDARD CHARTERED CARD CREDIT CAN ASK FOR THE YEARLY SERVICE CHARGES OF RUPEES TWELVE THOUSAND AND ALSO THE CARD HAS BEEN CANCELLED/CLOSED/BLOCKED.
                    KINDLY LET ME THAT ARE THEY PLYA THE FOOL WITH THE CUSTOMERS LIKE.
                    2.) NOTE: WHEN I USING THE CARD , MY PAYMENTS WERE ON TIME. U CAN CHECK IT.


                    DUE TO I AM MENTALLY UPSET.

I has spent some amount in July in Make my trip and converted into monthly installemts .From that day i have been getting confused statements .When i call customer care i get weird explanations not matching the statements .                           Dear Customer Care,

                          This is with utter disappointment that I have to tell you the standard charted card is an un appropriate card for a customer. My card has been duplicated by someone and he has used the same for 4 different transactions. The same could not be rectified by the standard charted associates even after several information being given. A few questions:
                          • How can a standard charted card be replicated
                          • The card was misplaced or given to some1 else in between the courier
                          • If yes, then the bank doesn’t gets to know is two different cards are being used simultaneously
                          • Even after the information shared with the bank, the hacker could not be identified
                          • Above all of these the bill statement has the fraud statements as well.
                          I will be now forced to go to the consumer court for such a fraud from the highly reputed and wrongly reputed standard charted bank.

                            I have Complain against standard chartered Bank, Because, I had submitted my True Paper for Preparing the Credit Card and all Verification was Positive as per the Bank Norms...

                            till Date, I Have not get my Credit card.. For this, I had Sent a mail to Customer care Department... But not get any Satisfactory Response...

                            Some of the Tele caller call me from same Bank and ask, we are Providing some new offer against your card... And I told her, till date, I have not get my Credit card at my door... she said your card is active...

                            I was surprised & same time and day send a mail to customer care... but Zero response... they are asking we cannot reissue the card. I asked them, I have not get a card.
                            I am requesting to you... kindly provide me Either the Card or return back my papers and all...

                            I would be very thankful to you...

                            For yours reference, I am attaching communication mail, which I did with customer care and Tele caller ..

                            I was (Manda Moshe) one of the credit card holder of your Bank. I had utilized both Main ( card No. [protected] ) and add-on card ( [protected]). Please refer your statement dtd. 20/10/2006, it shows the balance of main card was nil and the addon or supplementary card balance was Rs.7, 311.54/-. At that time I was fully paid the balance amount to your Franchise collection office which was located in Vizag and cutdown the card in to pieces and dropped it in credit card drop box. Recently I received a mail from you wherein I could found Rs. 39, 364/- balance was pending against SCB add-on Credit card. Immediately I sent a email to customer.care @sc.com regarding above problem and got the reply from your side stating that according to our records your card present balance is Rs.41, 884/-. Why this amount is goes on increased even after the card was closed.

                                Dear Sir, I have applied for the home loan and came to know that there are some overdue of Rs 11599.13/- showing in the CIBIL report.I was not aware with this. once I found all details and it is of the SCB (Standard Charterered Bank) which I had in year2004. As per my understanding, there was no any due from my side but SCB sent me the statement and i beleive on the statement. As per the statement, there was Rs 111.93 due from my side of Dec'2004. But I was not aware with this small amount. I aslo don't remember as well whether I had paid it or not because this matter is very much old. I request to the bank for changing my address but it did not happen.
                                If I did pay then atleast I should get a call from the bank but noone called me on my mobile. Although my mobile numnber "[protected]" is the same since year 2002.
                                Recently after several communication with the bank, I came to know that SCB do not have correct my mobile number. It is the problem of their database. If I paid big amount in the past then why I will not pay this small amount Rs 111.93.
                                SCB bank is not listening and they are forcing me this huge amount Rs 11599.13/-.
                                Afterthat they are ready to provide me the NOC certificate. which is very much required for my home loan process.
                                I will request you, please help me to resolve this matter because there is no any my fault. If they have not updated their databse properly then its not my fault.

                                I hope RBI will help me to close this matter.

                                  Standard Chartered Bank has been duping cutomers by cross selling insurance products.They telley sell the same and without our approval renew the same every year.Since this is disputed they keep on charging interest and then black list on cibil.

                                  They do not even bother to respond to queries.

                                  This they have tied up with Royal sundaram insurance.

                                  Please advise on how to sue both parties in cheating and unfair practices.

                                    I was having the SCB credit card with me till 2009 and I was regular on paying the credit card bills. After the card expiry I received the new card . However nowhere it was mentioned that still the old card will have outstanding amounts which I should pay. Meanwhile my address and phone number got changed ,I failed to update the same in the banks record immediately but after 2-3 months I have done that. Even after that I have not received any call on the non payment of old card. 1 year later when I went to apply personal loan of HDFC bank the CIBIL score was bad and I was not at all awre why? Because as per my knowledge I was reguler on all CC payments. When I got to know that that is because of old card I raised the complaint as per the suggestion of the customer care executive of SCB. But I did not receive any effective communication on CIBIL. Again 8 months later the executive of SCB has sent me mail for the payment of dues. The amount was doubled till this point in time. I asked them why didn't you call me before? You could have done this after 6 months of non payment , you are doing this after 2 years. Why? The answer was dissatisfactory and non sense. The bank executives can call us and force to buy the credit cards, when we are not even wiling to, but after getting the card can't the keep reminders or at least the process to ensure that because of negligence the customer is not falling into trouble? And also if the people can finally come for recovery then why that cycle is noy maintained of shorter time periods like 6 months max? Why I got a call directly after 2 years? Isn't the banks are fooling the people and taking the advantage of probable nigligence of cutsomer? Once the customer is relied on bank the bank is simply cheating him by such experiences. I would suggest everybody not to go for credit cards...and especially Standard Chartered Bank credit cards.

                                      We got a call from standard charted bank ,asking for OTN number and amount of 26900 has been debited from the account.without my knowledge to some other unknown account.Earlier also ,i got a call from this number for query about my other details.I have visited the bank branch and contacted customer care but i hvnt got any proper response. Also Bank Security For money Transfer is not upto the mark as we have also got some calls at the time of opening the account about my general details same things got repeated today and i felt that it is bank contacting me also if anybody is having my login id only, how can he transfers all the money they should have some policy about it.

                                        I was holding the Standard Chartered Bank credit card# [protected] there was a due payment of 18000 rupe it got delay to pay the same so i got call from Standard Chartered Bank recovery dept then they said total outsatanding amount is around 18600 including late fee so i agreed to pay the same, but they suggest me is not necessary to pay late fee we will reverse it so paid only the 18000 rupe, but that late feedidnt get reversed

                                        Even i have not requested to Reverse the late fee i was ready to pay the late fee also.

                                        all this happened in 2008 october, now they came with 9000 rupe out standing ampount.

                                        When i am calling to custiomer care they use to talk rudely.

                                        Please help to get resolve this issue.
