First found disease fibrocystic disease on 5.10.2018 with same day doctor prescription and lab report, it’s a disease common for elderly ladies india has more than 1 crore people having, they told to take tablet this will get cure automatically

Date feb 2019 we took mammogram

We found that small lump to reconfirm we did fnac birads some 2 came they told no risk

Again we did thermogram one more time fnac

It’s confirmed carcinoma

For this carcinoma for my mother in law got a small lump in chest doctor told us to do biopsy to confirm

It’s day care procedure

This people denied cash less claim because of fibrocystic disease

I asked that is different disease this biology for cancer finding why link both

They told we are like that

Total insurance paid 30000 rupees

Claim amount 12000 rupees

You can just imagine how these people cheating everyone

Also this claim we applied nearly after 7 months

So beware of any insurance simply they say they cover cancer or heart attack

They will reject it

For heart attack they will tell he had some low bp or sugar so rejected

Don’t waste your money on this

Just tell your parents to apply government insurance at least they approve

My neighbors very poor they did free cashless treatment in private hospital

    Butreality is i said everything to his sales manager and mentioned it on app form but that form i recieved from cmpny thats a wrong form nd sign is totly mis match on form

      I am dilip kumar prajapati we have paid two policy amount 0n the 08/12/2018. But not generated policy lot of time call for refund amount but not responding your agent immam saik.
      So we request to you please inform agent immam saik refund amount early otherwise we are going new channel/ media or police complain and what action from taken from star health company on agent any time suffering customer.

        Sir initially they mailed be stating obe reason why we are not able to give cashless and then asked to come for cash reimbursement again rejected cash reimbursement stating another reason by mentioning wrong thing... I gone through all the documents what the doctor given throughly and cross check ones again...

            It is really disappointing to know that your company (M/s. Star health and allied insurance company limited) have approved an amount of mere rs. 7, 792/- against the total bill amount of rs. 21, 398/-.

            Few of the points which were observed in claim sanction document were (Attached):
            1. Though the room rent charge was within a limit of rs. 3, 000/- the amount (Actual rate being 2, 800) - please refer to document named "kamala interim bill" your company has disallowed the same to the tune of rs. 1, 100/-
            2.in connection with professional fees (Surgeon, anastheist, consultation charges etc.,) & investigation and diagnostics it is observed that a proportional rate is only granted whereas the amount paid towards the same is within the limit. Due to which rs. 928 is further reduced from the claim amount.
            3. Under the medicine column a sum of rs. 2, 971/- is denied against the actual claim of rs. 3, 419/-. On our followup with one of your executives (On [protected]) we were informed that accu chck, gloves, venflon and disposables are not claimable. Does it mean that apollo have used this products/medicines for no reasons, there was no need for using such medicine? & if the same was required there is no need to disallow the amount.
            In other words, if there is a reason for usage this definitely falls under a valid claim and denial of the same is not accepted.
            4. The most important claim under the "others" tab the whole amount of rs. 6, 000/- has been completely denied and there has been no proper justification for the same. On our followup with executive (On the same call on your toll free no. [protected]) we were informed that charges for "equipment, medical records. Hospital service and monitoring, other charges" are not payable. On further questioning on the breakup of the amounts and other basic information, we were informed to put a formal mail on the same for addressing this issue.

            Considering the above facts of the case we want the following queries to be addressed specifically from your side:
            1. Does it mean that apollo hospitals have used the equipment without any reason i. E., there were no need for the equipements and the treatment would be taken up without any real time observation or may be the patients are expected to have a knowledge of the same and carry the required equipments from their place while getting admitted to the hospital?
            2. Does it mean that medical records were of no use and were generated for no reason i. E., the records are generated mere to create a big file and not to observe the patient's health condition?
            3. Does it mean that hospital service is not at all required for the patients i. E., the patients can manage the affiars themselves?
            4. We need to know the breakup of other charges which are not approved as a claim and the reason for the denial.

            Ps: this might sound a little informal, however would like to inform that we are not fools here to pay you around rs. 40, 000 per annum (For the whole family) as insurance premium to star health and when it comes to delivery the company shall grant us mere 20%-25% of the claim amount.

              This is in regards to the claim number cli/2019/700016/0733522 raised for a knee repair surgery done at dr mahajan hospital nagpur which is a tied up with star health.
              The policy is on 3rd year running and is a senior citizen red carpet policy.
              I was repeatedly told by the customer care officer that maximum 70% amount will be considered as the claim amount as it is a not existing disease, however, i was only provided with 50%...

              This is regarding the cancellation of the policy p/161130/2019/036105 which we had bought for the period 27th december 2018 to 26th december 2019.

              I would like to highlight the experience we have encountered with star health because of which we have made a prudent call of proceeding with the policy cancellation. Star heath has agreed to refund rs 19, 103/- on pro-rata basis but we are looking at 100% refund.

              To provide you more details:

              1. During the purchase of the policy in december from star health’s intermediary – policy bazaar no details about the policy was provided. The emphasis was more driven into selling the policy to us rather than providing us more details about the same.

              2. When we did raise a claim in february 2019, our claim was rejected citing that the disease is ‘pre-existing’. I do understand that ckd is chronic by nature, but we also provided a supporting document (Doctor’s letter) during refilling for the claim citing that the patient wasn’t aware about the same and hence it cannot be termed as pre-existing, but the claim was rejected the claim stating, “falsification of information”.

              3. We did receive a letter from star health stating that the dependent of the policy (Gopal m) was removed without our permission from the policy due to “falsification of information”. (If the patient wasn’t aware of the ckd and the same information was not provided to the insurance company does that mean “falsification of information”??)

              4. Its been almost a month since the beginning of february that we are arguing with star health and talking about the cancellation of the policy, but we receive a notification from star health on the 25th february 2018 which says based on pro-rata basis the refund is 19, 103/- (25th february 2019 – 26th december 2019) which we are not agreeable on.

              Please do assist on this on-going matter since we are looking for a refund of 100%.

                Respected sir,
                I named mr. Dharmeshkumar t. Bhatt, admitted in thunga hospital in boisar as per doctor advice on date:07/03/19 in nearly 21:20, they checked me then they shifted me in icu dept. Immidiately on that day & they given me treatment accordingly & after 24 hour they shifted me in general ward on next day & given me treatment accordingly & third day they are advice me to be visit & get check through any expert cardiologist for regarding further treatment and they given discharge me on third day evening &
                So, my question is that i have cashless card in spite of that i had made deposit rs:3000/- in hospital by my relative & during dicharge i had paid additional amount (Aprx) rs: 4826/- so rs 7826/- total seven thousand eight hundred twenty six rupess i had been paid to hospital of the part of bill among it. Still my diposit 3000/- rs not refunded from hospital & not adjusted in my full bill
                I had been called to starr health customer repeatedly please settled claim properly but there is no any proper response from customer cell & even they did not call back. Strange thing is that before discharge i talked to customer cell that hospital admitted me in icu in first day but he ignored all things this is totall negligence from your services & even repeatedly i called
                On that day i call your customer centre that you are wrongly consider room rent & proportionate amount because as per policy details icu is 2% of sum insured (My sa value is 200000/-) how can you deducted those & other proportionate amount,
                Right now being a patient i am mentally harrashed through out your whole your fraudulent money sucking services
                So, please stopped this type harrashment to patient & pay remaining ammount to the below given account number immidiately with mental harrashment compansate amt.

                  Sir,

                  This is to intimate you that, i had health insurance policy with national insurance since last 15 years rs. 1.5 lakhs each (Myself and my husband - without any claim)

                  Agent of star health insurance convinced me to port my policy, by highlighting that now a days if required national insurance is creating problem in getting claim on the other hand star health insurance is porting the old policies with full coverage and effective from day one of taking the policy (No waiting period and no hazard in getting the claim).

                  I also told them that my policy is very old, and we are now aged we may face problem any time, he asked me that are we having any problem now. At that point of time we did not understand of any health problem.

                  Without any further investigation or query i ported the policy. During porting they took copy of my old 4 years policy and got the star policy in the month of october 2018 (Rs. 5 lakhs floater policy).

                  But in december 2018 suddenly my husband realized that he is having some vision problem.in the month of september 2018 he has taken new power reading from the optician available at shop and using the spec but not clear.

                  We went to doctor, and doctor said he is having cataract in both the eyes and recommended to do the operation of the good eye as soon as possible being having some vision problem in other eye.

                  We operated (Cataract) the 1st eye in 28.12.18, expenses incurd rs. 40000/- against which star gave me rs. 12000/- on the ground that i am applicable for this only as per their terms and condition for ported policy (For cataract in a year). For second eye if done this year they will not repay any amount.

                  This is how star is cheating persons in the name of porting the policies of other company keeping in dark.

                  And the agents are doing so as they will be getting good commission.

                  If you all feel that, this is a cheat, help me and guide others to get rid of this type of cheat.

                    Patient was 2 months pregnant at the time of hospitalization. She was admitted for having some initial difficulties and was discharged in 2 days. Patient is now 7 months pregnant. Every time when i contacted the agent - ratheesh. Gs, he was saying different excuses (Like he was hospitalized or his family member was hospitalized etc). For last 2-3 months he was not picking my call. Last week when i messaged him, he replied the request got rejected as it was an abortion!! Anyone who have a minimum medical knowledge will understand that she was just hospitalized for two days. No aborting or nothing happened.

                    I need to know what actually happened.

                    I need justice.

                    If they can't give insurance for hospitalization on pregnancy related problems, what is the use of insurance. That too this is a corporate insurance from a company in technopark trivandrum.

                      I Purchased a Policy No. : P/700002/01/2017/070510 PERIOD OF INSURANCE
                      FROM : 15/01/2017 TO : Midnight Of 14/01/2018.

                      I renewed the policy Before expiry of the Policy No. : P/700002/01/2017/070510 Cheque No. 203538 dated 05/01/2018 for Rs. 15488/- (Rs. Fifteen thousand four hundred eighty eight only) Axis Bank Ltd., the cheque was dishonoured due to debit freeze on my account due to KYC issue .
                      I received an email dated 22nd January 2018 from PolicyBazaar with subject as "Congratulations! Your health insurance policy has been issued. Ref No.: 54751913" and sent a soft copy of the Policy.
                      Dishonoured cheque No. 203538 was returned to me on 16th January 2018 from Star Health Allied Insurance, Unit No.304, Gurgaon and recieved by me on 24th January 2018
                      and Meanwhile Policy No. : P/161130/01/2018/012236 Period of insurance : 15/01/2018 TO : Midnight of 14/01/2019 was issued against the above said cheque soft copy and hard copy of the policy was delivered to me by Star Health Insurance .
                      where as now in 2019 I came to know that the policy was cancelled by STAR HEALTH INSURANCE due to non clearence of cheque.

                      When I contacted Star Health Insurance regarding the receipt of dishonoured cheque and how to renew the policy they guided me to make the payment online and sent an email link for payment of premium. I made the payment of Rs. 15488/- from AXIS BANK, payment ref.no.INB/[protected]/PAYU.IN/STARHEALTH INSURANCE on 24th January 2018. And received information from Star Health Insurance that the same Policy No. P/161130/01/2018/012236 is continued with same insurance period .
                      even an e-mail dated 26th January 2018 have been received from Star Health Insurance with subject as "Thank you for choosing Star Health. Your policy number is P/161130/01/2018/012236" and the soft copy of the policy was attached with this mail on 26th January 2018.
                      Now In January 2019 when I tried renewal of my policy NO. : P/161130/01/2018/012236
                      I came to know that the policy was cancelled due to non clearence(DISHONOUR) of cheque in january 2018 and I was not insured during the period january 2018 to january 2019.
                      I enquired from Star Health Insurance regarding the Online Payment of Rs. 15488/- made on 24th January 2018 to Star Health Insurance .
                      Grievance Redressal Officer asked for some details such as Bank Statement showing the payment transferred to star Health Insurance . they allotted a grievance tracking No. SR[protected] on 07th Feb2019 and replied that the complaint will be resolved within 15 days.I sent reminder for the same so many times .
                      on 1st March 2019 received an email showing that the policy is renewed with Renewal Endorsement No. P/161130/01/2018/023790 Period of insurance : 25/01/2018 Midnight of 24/01/2019 .
                      This policy is already expired on 24th January 2019 and being sent to me on 1st March 2019 .
                      I have never received any cumminaction from Star Health Insurance regarding Cancellation of Policy No. P/161130/01/2018/012236 and renewal with policy no. P/161130/01/2018/023790.

                      No soft copy or any mail have been delivered by Star Health Insurance
                      during january 2018 to january 2019 regarding issuance of new policy which have been sent to me on 01st March 2019.

                      even an e-mail dated 26th January 2018 have been received from Star Health Insurance with subject as "Thank you for choosing Star Health. Your policy number is P/161130/01/2018/012236"
                      and the copy of the policy was attached with this mail on 26th January 2019, where as according to Star Health Insurance the new Policy No. P/161130/01/2018/023790 was in force from Period of insurance : 25/01/2018 Midnight of 24/01/2019

                      I never received any information from Star Health Insurance in the year of Insurance. and I was under effect that I am insured with Star Health Insurance for a period 15/01/2018 TO : Midnight of 14/01/2019.
                      Demand :
                      I am very much upset with the behaviour of the Star Health Insurance, how they manage all the documents .                           Dear Sir, I am an employee of Jana Small Finance Bank, and we have a medical insurance tie up with Star Health worth Rs.300000. My wife suffered with appendicular lump on 25/08/2018 and got admitted 4 times for the same reason at different hospitals. First time she got admitted at Triveni Hospital Indore, from 25-08-18 to 01-09-18, Second time again at Triveni, from 12-09-18 to 16-09-18 and then at Tanish Medicare Indore from 13 nov 18 to 21st nov 18.Thrice the claims were settled as our insurance partner was Vidal Health, but now, as the partner changed to Star Health they refused to settle the claim stating that it was infertility treatment. For the last time she got admitted to Tanish Medicare with same problem as the previous hospital was unable to cure on 13 nov 18 and got discharged on 21 st nov 18 and also the Treating doctor M.S.Gill referred her to CHL group of hospitals Indore where she finally and successfully got treated by Gastroenterologist Dr Neeraj Jain. Even Neeraj jain Diagnosed her with Abdominal Blockage, but Star Health doctors say it was a infertility treatment done by Tanish Medicare Hospital and refused to settle the claim of Rs 76000. Kindly Help

                            My group insurance policy no:p/19112/01/2018/010704 is running for 22 months. But accidentally one insurer have to hospitalise due to sudden descent of the uterus causing a serious condition as per the specialist doctor.
                            If this is a planned surgery then you can apply your embargo on the claim and in case of planned surgery every patient party can await to cross that stipulated time period.
                            But in my case it was an accident and no time to stay postponed to cross that limit.

                              I had purchase a policy from star health on dated-18.01.2019 as per advised by mr mohit awasthi. I made a payment of rs 14059/- from my sbi credit card. Amt had been deducted from my card but suddenly your site went in under maintenance. Mr mohit and his senior told me that don't worry sir i will provide soft copy in evening on dated 18.01.2019 or by tomorrow morning dated 19.01.2019. I asked the sbi credit card customer care, they told me that the merchant claimed the amount but mr mohit and his senior have not provided me soft copy till today. Today when i called mr mohit and his senior in morning he said i will provide you the soft copy today by 2 p. M but there was no response from your end. When i called him at 2.30 p. M they gave me time till evening. This is not the right way to deal with the customer. After facing such kind of problem i will never suggest anybody to buy policy from your company. Because the staff is not professional enough to handle this matter and they took it very lightly. I have attached the card statement and star account detail where payment status shows it has been paid. Please look into matter and request you to take the action as soon as possible.

                                      Policy nowhere terms that coverage will be after 2years.
                                      Now when the pre-authorization for cashless treatment is sent from hospital they are rejecting the request stating that policy is not completed for two years.
                                      When we request and ask the manager ajeesh from delhi to explain the reason for rejection letter and why was the information not on the website he response so rudely and says do watever wanted and disconnects the call.
                                      This is absolutely rude response and cheating the customer when there is no such prenorms on the website.
                                      I would appreciate if i can get immediate solution to this as the treatment in the hospital is still undergoing.
                                      I have the proof of recording in the voice format in my phone.
