I applied a Credit card from Sbi, it took me 25 days to get it by post. Then I activated it over the phone, it took me an hour to reach their ph services. But when I tried doing online transaction, offline purchased,used atm machine, it din't work. Called up Customer care many many times. They give give me same answer stating my card is activated, no matter how much I tried explaining them. It went on for another couple of days. Finally I contacted Bank,relation manager, branch manager,manager from other state bank. They could not help me. Ultimately I have to surrender my card, now inorder to surrender my card i need to call up customer care sometimes there ph services does not work at all. They informed me that the card has defect and I can reapply for another card. What a joke now after a month and a week they found out the problem. Ok so I was able to surrender my card which was made against fixed deposit of 20000 Rs. They told me I'll get my 20000 after 20 days once i received a latter from them. Now it's been over a month I have'nt got any latter as promised by sbi. I called up customer care asking reason, they told me that the latter has been dispatch, they will dispatch it again since i did not received it and I'll be receiving it within 10 days. Till now I have not received any latter from them and without the latter I won't be able to take out my money. Ok thats all of sbi credit card. One more thing my gf she lost her atm card, so we tried to block it online, guess what there is no such options to block. So we went to bank,officer told us we need to contact customer care. haha We were unable to reach them coz there officer were bz. We block the card only on next day. Anyway I made a credir card from ICICI, it took me just 3 days. It's Wow.

Credit Card — Complaint against lifetime free card
Dear Sir / MadamI had received credit card from HSBC executive under “ Life Time Free “ Scheme ( No Annual Charges to be paid ) . I have used this card for some transactions and made the payment in time . But one day, I got credit card statement with Annual charges which I communicate to Bank for reversal, since there is no Annual charges as per your executive while issuing the credit card to me .
Afterwards, I recd one letter from bank regarding disconnection of credit services and to destroy the card . I have done that immediately on receipt of this letter .
Now to settle this transaction, one of your executive ( Prachi shah ) called me for payment of Rs.1000/- for Full settlement of my account . In spite of telling her that these charges has wrongly levied on me, she is calling again and again to settle this account .
To avoid this, I agree to give the Cheque of Rs.1000/- to HSBC to settle this account once for all .
I have handover the cheque of Rs.1000/- On 23rd Aug, to Mr.Rahul from Kaif Agency against the Receipt and Full settlement letter from HSBC bank . ( Ch no. 799377 dt.23.08.08 for Rs.1000/- )
Now again, I received the call from Prachi that, the person to whom I have handover the cheque has misplaced the cheque in the train and they are asking again separate cheque from me . Is this acceptable ? I don’t find my fault in this transaction . Ideally It is the responsibility of Agency to handle the cheques properly .
I am requesting you to please look into this matter immediately and revert back to me as early as possible, since it may spoils the reputation of the HSBC among the customers .
