I have sbi account in kalpakkam branch, tamilnadu opened long back (Almost 15 years). This is joint account which is used by mother for taking out the cash only. I am not using my debit card and even my mobile number registered is my old number (Which i am not using now).
Recently because bank is asking to update the aadhar details. My mother has visited the bank and submitted the request for aadhar updation. Along with it she also submitted request for new debit card.in the aadhar updation form my new mobile is provided (Mobile number is as per aadhar card). Though we have not given separate request for mobile number updation. We requested the bank to update mobile number as per aadhar.
Till now we have not received any message about updation of my aadhar card or debit card (Probably they have not changed my mobile number as per my aadhar card and message might have gone to my old number)
Last week i have received my debit card also. I have not even changed my pin number.
Today i received a call from this number, [protected], saying he is manager from sbi, and asking the details of my debit card (He knows i received new debit card from sbi). During the call, i told him, i will check with my mother about the debit card and confirm him, but he asked the contact detail of my mother, unfortunately i gave my mother number to him and he immediately made a conference call. This raised the doubt about the authenticity of the call. So i told him i will not give any details. He blackmailed me he will block the card, i said go ahead and block the card and i will speak with bank directly and cut the call. After this i have received message from "ad-iccard, (No number) that my card is temporarily blocked and use verification code 679529 to activate"
Immediately, i have called the sbi customer care and complained about this, but it seems they are least bothered and just took the complaint.
What answer i need from sbi is
1. How did some fraud has information that i have received my new debit card.
2. What is suprising is this person had called in my new mobile number. I have checked my profile in onlinesbi and there is no mobile number mentioned. I assume my new number is not updated till now. How did this fraud person has got my new mobile number. From aadhar??? Even how did he got my aadhar number?? Some one from sbi is leaking my information??
Dear sbi, i know there are lot of fraudster, doing these kind of activities, but calling in the mobile number which is not updated in bank account is very serious issue?

Insufficient balance garibo ka hota hai amiro ka nhi...
