Hi, There are lots of stories about how sterling holidays is cheating with people already here, and here is mine - I got some mail from indusind bank about offer with there credit card if I buy a sterling holidays membership. I was curious and wanted to know more about the plan as I was going to be married soon, So I shown interest on it and got a call next day from Akhilesh Singh (akhilesh.[protected]@sterlingholidays.com) and he told me he will be sending another guy Pawan Kumar (pawan.[protected]@sterlingholidays.com) to explain more about the plan . The guy came next Saturday and explained me the details, I was not sure about I would be taking it or not So I told him I will let you know in few days. That guy told me that this offer is for today only and we have to block this offer for you, Otherwise you wont be able to claim this. I asked him to go ahead and block that offer, As I was not sure what that mean. He asked for my indusind credit card to check if I can avail the offer. My bad, I have given him the credit card as there was no discussion about charging any amount to my credit card. So pawan called akhilesh who was ready to loot me and they charged 20, 644 rupees from my credit card, Which I came to know from the message I got from the bank. I was angry and told him that this charge was false and I am not going to sign on the receipt or anywhere and I will file a complain in police station. Pawan was almost crying when I told that and he said I will be jobless, blah blah, please sign on it. He promised me that I will get my money back but please don't get me into trouble, So I got some mercy and signed on that receipt. So from that day it all started. I asked from both of them what i can do to get my money back. They didn't told me anything. I was calling them almost everyday but they didn't told me about cancellation procedure or anything until 15 days passed and i got some joining kit from sterling holidays. I called akhilesh and told him i don't want you joining kit or whatever, i simply want my money back . So that guy told me me you had to send mail to [protected]@sterlingholidays.com within 15 days but now it can not be cancelled and your money is gone. But thank god i had already sent a mail next day when that fraud happened and as a proof i had mail from sterling holidays. I immediately blocked my credit card to avoid any more charges. So its more than one year now, I have sent tons of mails to get my money back but i am not getting any replies on those mails though i get message and calls every month about EMI they are adding on my behalf. If i tell them i am trying to cancel whatever you call a membership, they simply say you have not requested for cancellation and we don't have any such mails. There mumbai office is good for nothing, Nobody is there to talk to you if you are asking about your money. Got my money last month, thought 1 year has already passed. I was planning for something big, and when i told them what i am going to do, They credited my refund promptly :)
i am also victim of same fraud. please help, how can i get my money back,

      Hi, I have purchased the Sterling Holiday membership (ID[protected] in the month of June where they have provided me the official E-Kit on 11th of July after a lot of requests done from my end. After getting the E-Kit I asked them for Dubai resorts which their executive (Mr. Shashikant Mishra) has promised me. Later on I came to know that there are they are not having any resorts their in Dubai. (False Promise) At the time of purchase I was clearly told that I have to pay 4 EMIs and then I can use my 7 days per year with them. After not getting the booking in Dubai, I tried for another place in Goa & Kerala for holidays and here again they have mislead me. Now they said that I have to pay 18 EMIs as I have taken the 48 EMIs plan. Still I asked my relationship manager (Ms. Kachnair - Andheri East Branch) that your executive i.e. Mr. Shashikant Mishra has informed me that I can convert the EMIs from 48 to 12, she promised me that she'll send me the updated list of calculations for me within a day; 2 weeks were proceeded; even my 2nd EMI got deducted but I still haven't received any feedback from Sterling Holidays. Doesn't matter how you have always mislead me but please don't IGNORE us. As I have tried to contact them many times on call; all I have from them is false promises that they'll call me back. The day gets over and I didn't received any call. What I want now is: 1. Please provide me a good service with good executive; please immediately change Kachnair from my relationship manager. I need a true person who should commit me false things. 2. Give me the details of EMIs, if I'm willing to change my plan from 48 to 12 EMIs. 3.       Yes, I do agree completely that their sales executive only makes false promises and later on does not respond to the call. How much ever you call him, he will not respond. Even, I have been promised holidays after 5 EMIs whereas in my kit it is mentioned that holidays will be applicable after 18 EMIs. When I called their sales executive Shashikant Mishra, he asked me to give him a call whenever I require to go on a holiday. But when I call him he never picks up the call. My experience with sterling has been very bad. I regret taking the membership.

        we have been following upwith various executives & authorities at mumbai and chennai.however till now we not received any amt from your side.

          I bought a policy (ID:1213784) from Sterling Holidays on 29th March '14 and a lot of promises were associated with this purchase. Their agent Mr. Vikas (+91-[protected]) assured me time and again that all these promises will be fulfilled as and when needed. I was promised a complimentary international vacation anywhere in Asia for 7 days for a couple, after paying a downpayment and 4 emi which amounts around Rs.50, 000/- . Also I was told by Vikas that I will be able to break up this week’s duration into multiple points of stay. But it is now only, that it has been brought to my notice that this offer is valid only for Thailand, Philippines and Malaysia since this is welcome holiday not all the resorts listed provide this facility. In addition, for this entire period, I will be given a stay only at a single location. Vikas assured me that booking a resort for specific dates as per my convenience will not be a problem. But on the dates specified by me, i.e. from 10th to 17th of Sept, 2014, none of the resorts in any of the above mentioned places is available. I have been writing to Sterling Holidays continuously to seek clarification, but it has never been fruitful. Infact I emailed them for cancellation of my policy but after just a acknowledgement mail there has been no actions from there end. And, on top of that money is continuously getting deducted from my account as they have my credit card details. This has left me in a complete state of shock. I have been keeping my plans for making travel reservations on hold just as to get confirmation on my holiday booking, but now I don’t know what to do. I still have to pay 2 more EMIs in order to be eligible to make the booking, but I already know that on the desirable dates, none of the properties is available. Should I just forget about Rs.36000/- that I have already paid and move ahead. Or should I pay them the remaining amount i.e. around Rs.12000/- and keep on waiting for the offers to be redeemed. I have been continuously calling and writing to Vikas for all my concerns, but I have always faced disappointment and humiliation. He either stops answering my calls or just blocks my calls and texts. This is sheer inconvenience and act of cheating that Sterling Holidays is committing to its customers. Such a fraud company should not be authorized by the Govt. of India itself for carrying out its cheater business in the market.

            There was the lucky draw in Pune Utsav mela, we added the name, sterling Holiday person called for selected for free vacation. The Sales representative showed the membership detail.. My membership ID 1208955, Next day I called to cancel the membership, I am sending emails to get the membership refund but there is no communication of sterling holiday side. I personally visited Sterling holiday office in Pune couple of times, They promised I will get refund next month. Please help to get my refund asap.

              In 2012, one day I got a message from sterling holiday for free 3 day holidays package. They called me with wife at sterling holiday office, Raghulila mall, Vashi, Navi mumbai for counselling. Finally they asked to fill a form and submit some money. When I asked about it then they said that if I am not interested in sterling holiday then they will return back the money tomorrow. I filled up the form and paid Rs 1500. Next day when I showed the no any interest in sterling holiday package then behaviour of office head became rude. When I asked to return my Rs 1500 then they told that first you paid me Rs 15000 as per company rule because you had filled the form then I will return your Rs 1500. I became helpless at that time. I am doing job in BARC and request to all beware from sterling holiday fraudness.

                Sir, I have a complaint against sterling holidays resorts india limited. They have cheated me and did not return my money rs. 24255 despite cancellation request sent by me within the prescribed time frame. The details are as under : When I was shopping at a mall, a company person came to me and told that there will be a lucky draw in the company and noted my details. On next day, I received a call that you are the lucky draw winner and to collect the winning prize I was told to go to The Raghulila Mall situated in kandivali west along with my wife. When I went to the mall, two employees of the company counciled me to take the plan of holidays. They said that they will arrange a foreign tour with concession on the tickets, they also provided a free coupon for stay at different places in India in Sterling Holidays resorts. Looking at the attractive promises and various discounts offered, I agreed to take the plan. They immediately asked for my credit card for payment of initial amount of rs 24255 on 24th march 2013. When received my credit card statement in april 2013 I observed that company has debited twice the same amount of rs 24255 . First on 24th March 2013 and second on 3rd April 2013 . When I contacted the company people they asked to provide the statement of credit card and amount not valid will be refunded. Despite my best effort it was not refunded. Further company started debeting Rs 18191 from my credit card account. When I received monthly credit card statement for the month of May 2013 I figured that they had again debited twice the amount of Rs 18191.00 on 7thMay 2013. Looking at the frawd being made by tye company I requested to cancel my membership and refund the total amount already debited by them but despite my cancellation request they continued to make efforts for debiting from my credit card the amount of Rs 18191.00 which was rejected by the credit card company because I cancelled the credit card and made complain to credit card company of SBI. As such company has deducted in total from my credit card as under: Rs 24255 on 24th march 2013, Rs 24255 on 3rd april 2013, Rs 18191 on 7th may2013, and Rs 18191 on 7th may 2013 Total: Rs 84892 /- After several follow up with credit card company, I got refunded pertaining to only three entries as under: 1st entry, dated 24th march 2013 was neither reversed by the credit card company nor refunded by the sterling holiday company. Despite my several request made online and meetings with company employees I did not get my money refunded. After few words he convinced me to pay through my credit card. Judging my hesitation to pay, he said that if within 10 days I do not feel to continue, my entire amount would be refunded. Thinking that there is no harm, I paid him at that moment through my credit card. But later when I told him that I want my money back he unduly stretched the matter. And today Mr. Ajith George, Asst.                         I was promised a fee voucher for attending a presentation from the company on its holiday product. This was given to me after inordinate delay and that too with significant follow-up. When I tried booking a holiday the dates which were alloted to me were different from what I was requesting. The reservation officer was supposed to call me to confirm the details but went ahead with the booking. After repeated follow-ups this issues has not been resolved and the company has been sending a standard response. Would request everyone to be careful when dealing the company.

                          I went to hundai showroom for enquiry about car price.. after some day i go a message if i ll book the car on 24th or 25th August i ll get 20000 sterling holiday package free. when i reached at 25th i met a person named kaushik who was selling the sterling membership . I booked the memebrship (My membership Id 1211306) that after he forced so much. but after 15 day i realised that due to some personal proble I will not able to pay the EMI. and called kaushik told please cancell my membership. then suddenly he told mam please dont do that.I said I dont want then after reading the document for cancellation procedure i send mail to sterling to cancellation of my membership.Koushik told that mam till now nobody cancel the membership. I said please check in google how many memebr cancell apply for membrship and complined in consumer court. when called banglore branch people they told, they will not return money..they told why you are calling here. call kaushik who sold membership to you. give him to police do what ever you want against him.. they i called hundia show room customer care service manager and told all the complined. she sharted follow the sterling manager mr santosh.. as per mr santosh they will return all money except processing charge. But nobody contacted me till now.. now kaushil also not recieving calls. branch manager Madhu is telling we ll not return your money..they are asking me to get approval from mr santosh for cancellation. after consulting with hundaishow room customer care maager ..when she called also mr santosh not recieving any call.. i got fed off now..still my membership is not cancelled..please help.

                          Hi, this is case of fraud and cheating by Brands like sterling India.
                          there was a call to my wife in the month of march 2018 from sterling holidays by mr. gaurav kumar saying that she has been selected to get some holiday free offers. we both went there but there they started selling their product with lots of offer like free coupon, with easy payment terms (EMI) with flexibilty of payment. considering that we purchased a plan with downpayment of 27000 and all documentations has been done with 1 day by them considering their year end of march 31st. we discussed all possible terms and conditions and even they said that in future if we want we can cancel the membership. till date we have paid more than 54, 000. we have been allocated a customer service manger Mr. Parmesh from Raipur region.

                          after getting membership, we tried to arrange a visit but they said that only after payment of 6 installments we can avail service, then we tried using free coupon, which they denied on the ground that free coupon can be used after 3 months. then after 3 months we contacted them, then they said at some places rooms are not available and at some places its off seasons.

                          considering the kind of their service response we decided to cancel the membership and we called them but at this time their behaviour was too rude, saying they will not pay a single penny, when i told them that their representative have told us that cancellation can be done in future. even he with rough tone asked me to give them proof. and said " do whatever you want to do, you will not get any refund".

                            Yet another trusted(?) holiday company (Sterling Holidays) goes into applying the same cheap tactics to cheat the members by never allowing them to avail a holiday of their choice at their wish. Poor members just spent huge money to enter into the trap and keep paying annual charges and utility charges like me. Always Sterling denie peak season booking to members at good resorts with variety of reasons. I have been holding the membership for years and every year they deny my booking with a different reason. Last year I called them and requested for booking a holiday in their resorts at Goa for new year eve, they have denies saying no rooms available and same was the answer for both resorts in Goa and another in Karwar. After so much of struggle and discussions they have told like bookings were over within 7-10 days and if I can book 90 days in advance surely I will get a booking confirmed. This year I called them up 90 days ahead and surprisingly same answer as no rooms. At last after persisting to explain on how the rooms are over, they are telling as they are blocking rooms for premium season members (though they are selling the unit concept where there is no seasons restrictions except you will spend more units ), clearly shows they are cheating the public by selling membership units and not offering the services to loyal members. BEWARE OF STERLING HOLIDAY RESORTS..Already many of the rooms and properties are 3rd grade and now the services and marketing goes to same 3rd grade cheating category. -Sreedhar

                              i have booked the holiday membership from sterling, and due to some personal reasons i cancelled the same the very next day. Now this company is still not reverting my 100% refund of payments. They have policy of 100% refund if the cancellation is done with-in 10 days, which is also clearly stated in the application form. i have all the proofs and receipts & application forms with me...


                              these people are just keeping on making false promises on mails and telling me our representative will revert and make you refund... please help me in this i have given them a lot of money as booking amount. i can furnish proofs... please help me get my money back.

                                I stayed at the hotel on April 20th, 2013. The manager on duty, Mr Rajendra Mathure was called to assist with an issue related to parking (a SUV blocked the entire parking and we were being told to park the car outside of the hotel property, on a rather tiny one way street) that his staff was unable to resolve for us in spite of being in it for 40mins. Unfortunately when I was eventually connected to the Mr Mathure, he was not only rude but was visibly disturbed to be contacted for assistance and instead of helping in resolving the challenge, he started saying things like --- I have a life, I shouldn't be disturbed and the most shocking was --- Should I drink poison and die? Who would in a responsible position like that say such stuff? Especially a manager who should ideally be available for his guests since he was officially on duty at that hour versus being ticked off for being called to help us get out of a situation created by his staff. We filed our complaints with Make my trip the same night since the booking was made through them but they were of no help whatsoever. I will be filing a complaint against them too. There were multiple other issues as well --- we arrived at the hotel 1230pm but were provided rooms at 5pm, the staff was unavailable for any assistance (no response to provide us with basic bathroom amenties), we were provided with rooms adjacent to where a massive renovation was underway and extremely far from the reception/main area --- 190 steps to be precise. There wasnt anyone responsible available to be contacted at the reception at night. We kept calling the reception and being told by a bell boy that the manager on duty is in his room and will be available in the mornning!

                                  I tooked Sterling Holidays membership on 3rd Feb 2013 at Raghulila mall Vasi, Navi Mumbai by paying 19294 through my hdfc credit card.
                                  It was assured by the manager Mr.Sarfraz that if I need to cancel the membership I can do it within 10 days and I will get full refund within 12 to 15 days after the request sent for cancellation. So due to my personal reason which I had discussed with Sarfraz before taking the membership I placed the request to cancel my membership very next day i.e.on 4 th Feb 2013. I e-mailed Sarfraz, Aarif the sales executive and also called them to cancel and refund my amt.19294 at the earliest as I was assured. From that day upto today I am given all false assurance. I kept on calling, sms'ng, and mailing them but all useless. I was given the branch office no.of Mr.Vinay Singh saying that now I need to talk with him. He is the person who is responsible for my refund. After making several calls on 2nd march 2013 Saturday he came on the line, and on my surprise he told me that he did not new about my refund or cancellation. After all my conversation he assure me that by Monday i.e. 4th march 2013 the amount of 19294 will get reverted in my hdfc credit card a.c for which I don't have to pay any amt.or interest to hdfc credit card. This was again a false promise by the head of andheri branch so called Mr.Vinay Singh. I kept on calling him but he dint turned up on phone. I confirmed with hdfc credit card department whether amt has reverted but it was not done and top of that bank has started charging heavy interest.
                                  When Sterling Holidays is going to refund my Rs19294 and how i dont understand. Who will pay those hefty interest which credit card is charging every day?
                                  My membership form no.is 14153 and I have told by Sarfraz that as I have cancelled my membership on very next day, so they have not uploaded any of my information on there sterling's system.
                                  I hope that you will do the needful at earliest and give me peace of mind which your Sterling holidays staff has ruined from 4th Feb 2013.

                                    I was getting frequent call from sterling holidays to visit and see what they want to offer. so one day on 3rd Feb 2013 I went with my wife and daughter at there center in vashi raghulila mall. Aarif Saudi was the sale executive who gave all the information regarding membership. Than when it came to price his seniors manager Sarfraz khan came and he gave us the price 242550 which we felt very expensive. than he reduced the amt.to 154350 with the condition if booked same day with down payment of 19294. We requested two days to decide as we were in talks with a builder to buy a property. I told him that in two days if I crack the deal with the builder than I want b able to pay rest of the membership amt and than I have to cancel the membership. Sarfraz gave me another tempting idea, that if I pay at that time and if I cancel within ten days than my total amt will be refunded in 10 to 12 days. he showed me the clause of refund which mentioned that amt will refund in 60 days maximum but as Sarfraz assured me that amt will b refunded in 10 to 12 days, I gave my hdfc credit card to swipe the amt 19294. and we left taking membership material after filling all forms required for membership. very next day my property deal was cracked. I called Sarfraz and mailed that I have to cancel my membership so please refund my amt at earliest. From that day until today 5 th march I am continuously calling, mailing, sms'nt to Sarfraz, aarif and than to vinay Singh at branch office andheri. I am just getting false assurance. I clearly told each of them that please refund my amt before my hdfc credit card bill due date come because I will not have money to pay that bill as I will be using all my savings to buy that property. I am so much harrased by each member of sterling holidays by not receiving my calls, not replying my mails and sms. 5th of march is my last due date of credit card and I paid minimum amt of 1010 to avoid default.
                                    please help me out in getting my 19294 amt as early as possible and also the interest amt which hdfc bank will charge.

                                      Sterling as an organization had a very bad remark in terms of reputation. In spite of that I did a blunder of buying a timeshare from one of my relations and I have started repenting badly......

                                      My transfer was initiated in 2012 / April and trust me I still did not get the hard copy of my documents. Its really disgusting to call the sterling help line.. the only answer they have is " am sorry for inconvenience, we have a software upgrade problem, we will dispatch you the hard copy of transfer of ownership in 20 working days" and trust me I had to hear this sentence for more than 6 months. The official time of transfer is 45 days

                                      Next is vacation time, the heights of cheating... When I was doing my transfer I was told that I have 19 vacation days. This year when I ask they say I have only 14 days ( including current year holidays ). On asking they say only 1 preceding year can be taken forward and rest will lapse.. My only question is.. how could I have 19 days ( which is 5 days more than one preceding year ) in 2012 when I can have only one preceding year balance ???

                                      Post purchase service trust me is pathetic.. calling 'sterling call center' is as good as hitting your head against a strong granite.. you cannot get any job done..

                                      I spoke to Ramya/Sunil/Prem/Pradeepa/Gulab and atleast couple of more folks..

                                        I had taken a membership on Oct 22nd 2012, customer id - 1208101. Sterling executive from Bangalore branch named Vikas Reddy had visited my premises and explained me the plan. He was very courteous while briefing me the product. I decided to go with Red membership which had the cost of 3,63,830. I had agreed to pay 10% of the amount upfront and remaning through my credit card ECS. Since I didn't had enough money I paid Rs. 7000 in cash on 15th Oct and requested him that I will pay remaining a week later. But due to some personal reasons/other commitments I had to opt off the membership and requested the same to Vikas/Seema (was team lead of Vikas). Since I needed the money for personal reasons, even though they forced me so much, I didnt agree and asked them to proceed with termination. Vikas and his team lead met me in my house and tried to convince me again, but I was firm on this as I had problems and commitments, then they said that I need to pay the entire amount (10% of 3.6 lakhs which is 36383/-) to get the refund back which I would get in 7 days to 15 days. Though I had kept the amount for my other commitment, I made sure I paid 36383/- through cash. Vikas told me not to send any mail till he intimates me further. A week passed and no call came from vikas. The real truth of Vikas and sterling holidays came to light from here. He started giving reasons saying he is not in town or something or the other whenever I called him but gave a good suggestion to block the indusind card. So, I made sure to send a mail requesteing for cancellation and did that on Oct 29th (mail sent only to Vikas and seema). I called him and said I sent a mail for cancellation and he was so worried and asked me why did I do this? He told why am I not believeing him. Then I mentioned I have sent a mail only to him and his team lead, he was then happy. Later 3-4 days passed and I knew I had to cancel the membership within 10 days of paying the amount (this is one more way of cheating customers, its not 10 days after we receive their membership documents but 10 days after you make the initial payment where your application is accepted). So, I called him up and asked again on the same, he started avoiding me. I sent a SMS asking which email id I need to send for cancellation, he didnt reply. I again on top of
                                        it sent a message asking if the mail id is '[protected]@sterlingholidays.com' and reply (SMS) came instantly saying 'YES' from Vikas. So, I sent a mail to cancel my membership copying him on Oct 29th 2012.

                                        A week passed and Vikas stopped responding to me, so had to call customer care to know the staus. Their I was shocked to hear that they have never received any request from me. I briefed on the above and they said I need to send a mail to '[protected]@sterlingholidays.com'. I was disappointed by the false information given by Vikas and forwarded the mail I had sent to other mail id to [protected]@sterlingholidays.com on Nov 5th. Then the follow up started, Vikas never picked the call nor called me back, so I called Bangalore office to know the status. Person name Madhu picked the call and I explained the issue. He said he will take care of it and my membership would be cancelled in 3 days. I called him after 3 days which was around Deewali time, he was on leave, I waited till he was back. I kept on calling till I could speak to him and one final day may be in 2nd week on November I caught hold of him and asked the status, He said he has already sent a mail to accounts team and its under processing. I was quite happy at that time. On Nov 15th, after multiple tries to reach Madhu went in vain, I called up customer care to know the status. Second shock was on the way! they said no request has been put yet to cancel my membership. I was so furious with the false statements by Madhu and Vikas, I sent a strong mail to them saying what had happened. But as usual, they replied diplomatically saying someone would call me. I again called customer care to know the staus on Nov 17th, they said its under processing and we would not know the status till 45 business days. I stopped following up as I knew its just a time waste to call these cheaters till 45 business days are completed. Also, I blocked the card on Dec 2nd where 11,000/- monthly ECS was supposed to be debited on 7th Dec. I was again surprised that they tried to debit my card on 7th even after the cancellation request given on Oct 29th. Good that I had blocked the card.

                                        Today, that is on Jan 8th 2013, I called customer care to know the status as it was more than 45 business days. One more shock was on the way that my cancellation request was put up in mid of december which means according to sterling holidays I get only 75% of the refund back since the request was put after 10 days. If it exceeds 60 days, I would get only 25%. This would never be told by any executives of Sterling. I want to take a legal action against Sterling Holidays for whatever they have done to me and I need to get the refund of 36383/- back from them.                                         Also, my suggestion to all is please DONT EVER TAKE HOLIDAY MEMBERSHIP WITH STERLING HOLIDAYS. They are cheaters.
