I was enquired for Membership on Sterling Holidays website and after that with prior appointment, On Sun, Nov 30, 2014 one sales representative Mr. Tophan Barik from Mumbai came at my house on 2:30 PM at Jaipur to show the demo and explanation about Membership Plan. He told so many benefits and membership fees, During the discussion, he also asked my credit card information just to verify whether my credit card is applicable to any offer or not and he called to sterling offer officer at Chennai and during his talk over phone he provided my credit card no. and expiry date after that without my permission he debited amount from my account as downpayment without my concern. Same time I got the message shows that INR 22, 193.00 has been deducted from my credit card as down payment. After 2 days, I got a message that welcome to the sterling, and Got the welcome call. I immediately refused to take the membership, and they told they will cancel the membership and revert my money back but as of today I did not get any response from them. I have not signed any single document and doesn't provide any ID proof still they created my membership without my information. Request you please return my money back as its already 4 Months passed I have not seen any action from Sterling Holidays.

    sterling holidays just give false promises are going on duping thousands of people like us.they misguide and after we pay 30000 to 50000 they just do a vanishing act. i have purchase membership (id no 1218368) and paid rs 57349 on promise that i would get a confirmed booking for nainital and corbett resorts .i was also promised one way flight tickets.but once my all cheques got cleared they havent sent me any receipt, welcome kit, e kit, till today.also turned down my vacation booking saying that you have to pay more, is there no law to punish them. first of all they should not be allowed to take any such closed room meetings with customers. after asking for termination without using any of their facilities they have not answered to date.

    Its been close to 20 days of putting up my complain there is no response from sterling holidays .They only talked on phone and only telling that the membership cannot be cancelled or they cannot give refund.this is worst ethics by any company.I have rec my e.kit on 9/04/2015 and requested my membership cancellation to them on 10/04/2015.
    from us they all want by email but they answering all on phone calls. why this, because we wont have any material to fight legally.
    all who are harrased and have similiar case against sterling holidays lets make a group to fight against sterling holidays. i am going to file a PIL against STERLING holidays. who ever wants to join please send your full complain to me with your address and contact number
    its 1 month from giving complaint, no response from sterling holidays, they just want to siphon our hard earned money to build their profits and pay their cheater executives.is there no place for general public, customers to get justice.

        When ever you call Sterling for any resort booking for a red season.. rest assured you will not get a room.. Sterling has started this un-ethical practice of giving away all the members allotted room's to Thomas cook.. Which is disgusting.. For every one who want to take a membership in sterling holidays.. its a big 'NO' from me.. dont get fooled and deceived.. keep away from sterling.. am suffering after taking such a foolish decision...

It was a big mistake on my part to fall in a trap laid by your company by believing in your company commitments & took the membership in the month of Oct, 2014 (After too much pressure from your sales team). I had decided to enjoy my first sterling family holiday at Nainital. I was told by your above team members that if i pay my pay the remaining EMI, sterling will give you three days of booking at Nainital from 5th march to 8th march 2015. The above team members also took the approval from their senior officers. I paid the remaining amount (Rs. 1, 53, 614) on 16/2/15 after getting the commitment from the sterling holidays for the booking. We were delighted & my family was excited & we planned for the above. To our night mare, on the eve of our vacation, you pleaded sorry for non availability of the rooms at naintal for the above period & declined your commitment. Our plan was shattered. We had to reschedule our vacation then. The whole family had to go through the mental trauma & agony and our kids were broken. We were burdened both financially & mentally with you not keeping your commitment. I urge you to cancel my membership & refund my full amount of Rs.2, 57, 542=00 along with the interest @24%. I also claim for the compensation amount of Rs. 2, 00, 000=00 towards mental agony & financial burden because of rescheduling my vacation. I had also written a mail on 2/3/15 (ref no[protected] in regards to have but you didnot bother to resolve the issue till date.             I had paid an amount of Rs 5043/- towards partial payment for getting membership in sterling holidays on 19/01/2015. I had send a mail to sterling holidays at [protected]@sterlingholidays.com on 20/01/2015 with all details for refund of my partial amount to sterling holidays due to some unavoidable circumstances, and the representative who give me the all detail regarding membership is also told that the amount you are paying is refundable if you want to refund. From 20/01/2015 to till date(10/03/2015) i had mailed 6 times to sterling for getting refund of Rs 5043/- but there was no response given by sterling. Please look into the matter and refund my amount of Rs 5043/- as soon as possible. The representative number is [protected] who give me the all detail regarding membership.               Sterling membership was a good choice a couple of years back. But now, the context is changed. A couple of years back, sterling had entered into Joint Venture with 'thomas cook' and the consequence is, the sterling members quota of rooms are being sold off to thomas cook at a discounted rate. I hope people know what red member ship is (basically, if you hold a red membership you can book accommodation at any season). Being a red ownership member, if you call for a booking for a red season ( April and May ) in any resorts in OOTY or Kodai, the call-centre folks will up-front say that the booking is full. In theory, the booking starts 90 days prior to your vacation date. But, if you even call on the same date when the booking opens (which is 90 days prior) the sterling call-center folks will say that the booking is already full or closed. In summary, you will not be able to enjoy any vacation during red season. I being an ownership customer am basically wasting the AMC (Annual maintenance cost) money. Check the calculation below.. Initial membership for a red 1BHK is 4Lacks (could be more also) Annual maintenance cost is 4K. If we are going to any resort we pay 1K per day so the total comes to around 8K for a week including VAT. Also, For 4L if you put it in FD you will surely get 8% interest per year, so you this is approximately 32K. Now here is the actual calculation: Interest earned from the membership fees - 32K Annual maintenance cost - 5K Room maintenance cost – 8K Total cost per annum comes to around 45K. If we divide 45K by 7 days it comes to 6K per day. Now, in 6K you can actually book excellent hotel rooms in OOTY or Kodai and for this you will also get a complimentary breakfast and site seeing free. FYI: Nothing is free for members in Sterling, it’s just given at a discounted price. So precisely, 1. You end up paying more than 6K for a room (in all the seasons) which is not the worth. 2. You will for sure not get a room in red season for any resorts in Ooty and Kodai (though you are a member) Kind advice to all who want to buy a membership in Sterling. Its not worth at all.

                Mr. Manjit Singh (Manager, Sterling Holidays, Bangalore) promised us Rs. 25, 000 upon purchase of membership from Sterling Holidays in March 2013. We have been following since then but have not received the amount as promised. Mr. Belliappa (Branch Manager, Sterling Holidays, Bangalore) also assured us that he will help us in getting our amount as promised by them. Now, neither are they giving us Rs. 25000 nor are they refunding our amount upon cancellation of membership. We are very unhappy with this kind of response from a reputed company like Sterling Holidays. Kindly help. Regards Deepak Sharma

                    1-In the month of January 04, sunday, I received a call from sterling holiday that they have organized a session at daman and they asked me to come with wife 2-During session They forced me to buy membership but I refused to buy immediate, but then they started creating pressure on me and froced me to buy, and in last I bought membership by paying approx 22000 from hdfc credit card. 3-While paying fee I confirmed multiple times that I will cancel membership if my parents dont agree. 4-they confirmed that I can cencel my membership within 10days and I will receive full refund amount in 10days. 5-After 2 days I sent a mail to sterling holiday to cancel my membership and I received confirmation msg from sterling holidays. 6-Next day I received called from Ritesh Thakkar (executive of sterling) that refund will be done. 7-Then after I sent couple of mail to sterling but I am not getting revert from sterling 8-I called many times Ritesh Thakkar but he is alse not receiving my calls. 9-On 9th january I called him for more then 20times but he did not respoded me Hence I have decided to comaplin against sterling holidays for not reverting me, delay in refund. and mentally harracing me please help to get my refund

                      To, Director, Sterling Holidays Myself Deepak Sharma (ID – 1210047) I bought a membership from Sterling Holidays in the month of April, 2013 as I was very impressed by the ambience and service of Sterling resorts. I thought that it is a company of values and ethics and that I was making a right choice but it turned out to be exactly opposite. When I bought the membership, I was promised Rs. 25, 000 from Mr. Manjit Singh (Manager, Sterling holidays, Bangalore, Karnataka). Since then, we have been calling Sterling Holidays (Bangalore) regarding this matter but we are not getting proper response and the company keeps postponing giving us the amount as promised. On Sept 18, 2013, Mr.Beliyappa met me with his colleague Mr. Madhu. He said to me that Rs.15, 000 will be settled by January, 2014. For the remaining Rs. 10, 000 he said that I need to refer one customer from my side, for which I did not agree. We also spoke to one Mr. Badrikant about this issue but that was also of no use. Last week, I called Mr. Beliappa (Manager, Sterling Holidays, Bangalore) as I wanted to clear the pending amount in one go and asked him to let me know my pending balance. Now, an executive (Mr. Bilal) from Sterling Holidays is telling me that they will neither give us Rs. 25, 000 nor are they allowing me to cancel the membership by not refunding the paid amount. I do not think I would have faced this kind of mental harassment with other companies like Mahindra, Country Club or Magic Holidays. I am very unhappy with this kind of treatment from a company like Sterling Holidays. Finally, totally frustrated, I am writing to you in anticipation of a fair solution. I expect you to solve this issue as soon as possible. Please find below the mail from Mr. Manjit Singh which he had sent to us promising the amount while purchasing the membership.                       I have faced a similar issue this year and all I am getting as response is that we will close it by next Monday post which 16 monday has passed.
                      I was been promissed 20000/- worth of benefits in money apart from other holidays and food vouchers and RCI membership by Mr.Benjamin and team who heads the Chennai operations. They agreed of the commitments for which I have mail, chat and phone recordings.
                      The case is going on for 5+ months now.
                      After going through MD's desk it has reached to higher ups.
                      I need either commitments to be fulfilled or my money back with penalty for holding my money and hardship and monetary loss that I had to bare due to sterling mistake.

                          We were called upon for a meet by Sterling Holidays to collect a Gift Voucher for stay in there resort.Where the co's representative Mr. Kasif atttended us and started advertising about there membership packages. Presentation was ok and at most I made my mind to accept the membership, but I immediately was surprised to hear from your executive that only 2 % from the called upon guests take our membership and rest who dont except the membership have money problem so if you dont except our membership it means you have same problem. Such a warm welcome and insult of guest was very disappointing. A guest can reject any product by several reasons. There are many co's better than sterling holidays giving better offers can be the reason also but the only reason if a guest rejects your membership is money problem. I imediately asked Mr. Kasif to repeat what they said and fluently he reapeated the same lines very badly which created a very embarassing situation for me and my wife.I refused to accept the gift voucher after such a insult. If this kind of welcome was supposed to be of sterling holidays then I thank God to stop me from excepting your membership.But I know Company engaged in service & hospitality can not do so. Rest is all yours. Hoping for your better future.

                            Sir, I had taken 2 memberships from you 19 years ago. 1. ID 52718 – CLASSIC SEASON – MUNNAR (GEORGE ISAAC & SUSY GEORGE) MEMBERSHIP PERIOD – 1996 – 2094 PAID FULLY Rs. 67, 359/- (Paid in NRE) 2. ID 97235 – COMPACT – COORG (OLD NUMBER – 57486) MEMBERSHIP PERIOD – 1998 – 2096 (GEORGE ISAAC) PAID FULLY Rs. 69, 300/- (Paid in NRE) I have been receiving a number of reminders via SMS regarding my ID 52718 which is my 1st membership, to pay my AAC in arrears of Rs 7941/-. I have no problem in paying it. I have already conveyed to your concerned people about that over the phone. But before that, I would like to have information regarding my 2nd membership ID 97235 (OLD NUMBER – 57486). Despite speaking to your concerned people over the phone as well as having written a letter about my 2nd membership, there has been no response via mail or phone. The most irregular aspect was to respond only to the first membership and claiming its arrears while ignoring the second membership totally. I would appreciate it if you would enlighten me as soon as possible about my 2nd membership with regard to the following: 1) Its current status 2) Is the project still with you? 3) Has it been sold to any other resort and if so, kindly inform me to that effect. Further, if you cannot comply with it, then kindly return to me the cash which I have spent through NRE (when I was abroad) with full calculated interest for the past 18 years. Hope you will not hesitate to reply to these queries. After I hear from you, then I will remit the arrears of the 1st membership.                               we have been misguided by sales representative of this company. we paid an amount of Rs. 18857 as down payment. and we were provided 12 free nights to stay as complimentary coupon. but later on when we tried to book the resort, they started making excuses like, resort is under construction, booking is full and then they stopped picking up our calls. then they deducted first EMI which we signed at time of down payment i.e Rs. 7100.00. now we are really fedup with these people and want to quit the membership. and we advice the company to suspend the representatives who are spoiling their image.

                              Hi, this is case of fraud and cheating by Brands like sterling India.
                              there was a call to my wife in the month of march 2018 from sterling holidays by mr. gaurav kumar saying that she has been selected to get some holiday free offers. we both went there but there they started selling their product with lots of offer like free coupon, with easy payment terms (EMI) with flexibilty of payment. considering that we purchased a plan with downpayment of 27000 and all documentations has been done with 1 day by them considering their year end of march 31st. we discussed all possible terms and conditions and even they said that in future if we want we can cancel the membership. till date we have paid more than 54, 000. we have been allocated a customer service manger Mr. Parmesh from Raipur region.

                              after getting membership, we tried to arrange a visit but they said that only after payment of 6 installments we can avail service, then we tried using free coupon, which they denied on the ground that free coupon can be used after 3 months. then after 3 months we contacted them, then they said at some places rooms are not available and at some places its off seasons.

                              considering the kind of their service response we decided to cancel the membership and we called them but at this time their behaviour was too rude, saying they will not pay a single penny, when i told them that their representative have told us that cancellation can be done in future. even he with rough tone asked me to give them proof. and said " do whatever you want to do, you will not get any refund".

                                Dear Sir/Madam, Since 4 months I am trying to take follow- up reading my cancellation of sterling holidays membership. Following are the sequence of events: When I had called the customer care for cancellation dt.21/07/14, the customer care staff asked me to call the sterling holidays executive who had approached me for the membership. I had informed your executive that without my prior confirmation do not proceed further. But in spite of this an amount of 22193 Rs. was deducted from my account. I had called and wrote mail for cancellation to your company representative Mr. shoeb shaikh (shoeb.[protected]@sterlingholidays.com and mobile no[protected]) and he informed me that your cancellation was in process and you will get refund of your money within two days’ time. After a week’s time I checked for the refunded amount, but the money was not refunded and I had called mr shoeb but he does not respond. After 15 days he called me along with Mr.Ansari and told me first you should accept the confirmation call only then can your cancellation process will begin. As per their instruction I accepted the confirmation call and intimated both of them just after the confirmation call. After that I tried so many time to talk to him(Mr.Shoeb) but he did not receive my call, so I called customer care and the executive suggested me to call Mr.Ansari, I followed that instruction and call Mr.Ansari.I spoke to Mr.Ansari and he told me we shall arrange for a conference call with Shoeb, but it did not happen and I kept on sending SMS to inform me about the conference call timing but no one responded to it. Then I had call Mr.Arjun and explained him all the matter and he told me that give me two day time & he will inform me. After twodays he told me that your cancellation is in process and you will get the refund of your amount within 15-20 days . Then after 25 days I called in your Mumbai branch, someone told me that Mr.Arjun left the company, and suggested me to call Mr.Jayant. I called Mr.JAyant, he told me that contact mr.Vinay, I have several time tried to contact Mr.Vinay but he never ever received my call. I sent many massages to Mr.Vinay for his assistance, but there was no response. His assistant told me that I am not eligible to get the refund because of following reason: 1. I did not apply for the cancellation within 10 days :- but I sent a cancellation mail next day itself. 2. I had given a positive feedback while confirmation call:- Because of your company representative told me to do so. In case if I had mailed your company for the cancellation request within 10 days, then why the second installment was deducted after 2 months. Any way please suggests me the Name and contact no of the person who has the authority to cancel and refund the amount. I am fed up of your company’s unresponsiveness and all these things have troubled me and given me a lot of mental stress. Kindly respond to this mail or I have decided for further legal action.                                   Hi Team, This is second mail, My name is naveenkumar Gollavathini and sterling representative Mr. Ajay kumar looted the 2000 rs. from me which are not returned yet. After my first complaint in sterling holidays, sterling holidays called me twice. They taken the details about incident and no action is taken. Sterling staff saying that ajay kumar is blacklisted from our company and he his no more in the organization. I want to know one thing, if ajay kumar is not working in the organization, then how he know that i enquired for sterling holidays and how he got my office address and contact details. Government organizations are better than you, You are just intrested in making membership and money, nothing with the services.you dont have controll on your staff at all.                                     I have regularly paid EMI of my sterling holiday package. I have paid my EMI of september on 28.08.2014 through netbanking and again sterling had deducted EMI on 07.09.2014 through credit card without my knowledge. The matter was communicated to sterling cust. care through mail and also through telephone repeatedly, but no response from their end. I think they are cheating customers.

                                      We are struggling to get refund of our down payment money from Sterling Holidays & Resorts. Few Sale agents of this sterling holidays & resorts came to Madhu Hotel, Yamuna Nagar & they said you have won holiday gift voucher from their company & later on they offered us Sterling membership & also forced us to make down payment on the spot. As a bad luck we got convinced at that point of time & paid them 22, 193 Rs through debit card (believe me that’s the worst decision me & my husband took).
                                      But we decided to cancel our membership. Now plethora of problems started.
                                      1) Nobody entertain properly on phone (customer care service is pathetic)So be ready to spend thousands of rupees on calling them. Moreover every time its new representative, so you have to repeat story again & again.
                                      2) We made payment on 31 Aug 2014 & send an email for cancelation on 17 Sept 2014, So it means after 10 days
                                      3) As per Clause 12(iii) of application document if customer request for cancellation between 11 days to 60 days of making down payment, then he/she will get refund after deducting 25% of DP
                                      So friends now their Sales agents stopped picking our phone calls & customer care representatives straight forward said your money will not refund at all .

                                      Now my husband is planning to go to consumer court.

                                      So it’s a request to everyone please don’t go for sterling holidays & resorts membership. This is a trap in which if you are caught once then they will not let you go.
                                      Sterling Holiday & Resort is in black list of many customers. It’s a fraud company
                                      Still if anybody is ready to help us from company side or any customer who fall into same trap. I shall be thankful to you.

                                        Hi, A very very bad experience I got from u r company. By only giving offers, yours job is not over. Taking care of what u r marketing persons doing.they looting the people. Are your persons getting salaries or they just looting from people.i talking about ajay. If I want to join any membership in any holiday company, I will chose the any company other than sterling even they are double costlier than u. Sahi marketing strategy pakda hai logo ko chutiya banane ka. I will share this experience to others as much I can.
