Experience with sterling holidays - a call received one day

Sterling holidays are fooling the people by calling and inviting for free vouchers for promotions.

The base is to attract people with fat income to register for memberships by registering forms with their incomes and wealth.

The people that are not interested in membership are providing with vouchers for 2 nights and 3 days stay in hotels (That are guest hotels only).
The vouchers issued by executives are the main culprits.

They don't have complete knowledge information and issueing fake vouchers to the people that are not interested in their memberships.

Once vouchers will be provided to sterling for reservations, they will say voucher willnot be considered due to overwriting or la bla issues being pointed out.

The promotional scheme is to attack fat in come people to be their members and fooling people not at all interested.

Please avoid any such calls from sterling holidays.

    Cancellation of membership & refund

    Hi, my parents received a call from pc jewellers where this sterling holidays had placed a stall and they sold out a membership to my parent. They paid 24, 000 inr and soon they realized that they don't need this policy. So they called them back and asked them to cancel the membership. It was mr. Rahul trivedi who sold out the membership. So this guy suggest that he will cancel the membership but some how we have to provide them 3 cheques...

    My membership no is 1228195, I became a member on 31.03.2016 by paying rupees 26105. But, Unfortunately I got the scenario where I can't pay the Balance EMI for 4 year due to personal problem and I requested to Cancel my membership and refund the amount on 21.04.2016. Only i got reply for mail saying that They will revert in 2 to 3 working days. Then no reply! I reached them Many times thro mob, Their answer a person will call you in few days!

    A month gone! no one called me..

    I cancel my membership due to need of Money. But, they don't understand!

      I am attending sterling seminar at sterling daman resort on 23/01/2015, based on that sterling offer to me 2 n/3 d free hotel package anywhere in india in sterling resorts.
      Based on that i got free voucher on 11/02/2016 from mr. Shahnawaz qureshi (Shahnawaz. [protected]@sterlingholidays.com) and on 2/05/16 i claimed (Claim id no. Is[protected]. And i got response from sterling after 2 days from i claimed.
      As per this mail which gift voucher which i got through mail, it’s not valid due to issuing authority stamp is not available on this.
      Based on this mail, i call to sterling ahmedabad branch, on that time ahmedabad branch person giving me assurity, they send to me another valid gift voucher on my contact address within 2 days. But till date i am not receiving any voucher from the sterling. I am continues taking follow up regarding this on phone no. [protected] of sterling ahmedabad branch, but nothing result i get & from now last 3 days they are not picking my phone also.
      I call 2 times on sterling toll free no. Also, but same thing happen their also. They said to wait & after some time our phone will disconnected. I also mail this issue to 'online. [protected]@sterlingholidays.com' but from their also i did not get any answer.
      So i am not getting any satisfactory answer from any one of sterling.
      If you people not want to give any reservation against free voucher to customer, then why you offer to them.
      When your marketing person explain to us, on that time they told us very big thing about sterling, but when we said first we take experience of sterling then we will decide on that time they behave like we done something major crime.
      After too many follow up i got my voucher by mail from shahnawaz quereshi (Shahnawaz. [protected]@sterlingholidays.com). And when i claimed then this issue is raised by you.
      If this type experience we get from sterling then, how we believe on sterling & how we think to take membership. So pls. I request to you very first try to change your marketing person behavior & committed on your statement. Do that which you said to customer.
      So kindly look in this matter & provide me my gift voucher.

        I have some good offer to marketing executive than I bye to membership but they are three months go but no any one full fill my offer.I call to company but you have say to me I have no any one offer company. no any one offer to company side .i have around 43000/pay to to company. company says to you have cancel to membership no any given refund to me this cheetind to coustmers.so I have request to don't bye sterling holiday membership.         Sterling holiday executive offer to me 12 emi pay, 10 years non mention fee, 4years RCI free, 5000resort voucher.so than I bye membership. No any response to ahmedabad branch.I have send all ready mail to company but no any solution .I down payment is 27000 and 7960*12 emi.this is my payment term .this is very ford to me. This all offer fulfill so I will continue to membership but other wise I cancel to my membership.some fake mail send to your executive .

          It all started on 8th March 2016 when we decided to take their membership after their sales executive gave us a false and rosy picture regarding their sterling holiday plan. We were told that we will get 14 days free RCI holidays .Also we will get 4 days free sterling welcome holidays and also we can avail their regular either 7 days international or 14 days domestic stay.
          We were asked to pay the down payment of Rs.102885/- which we had made.
          We were told that since we have taken their red membership card we can get in any of their hotels a confirmation and we have to just book 15 days in advance. The executive had told us that this year we do not have to pay their annual subscription fee (asf) that is Rs.11000 that too we have to pay that only after 2 years if we take the RCI holidays and not for their sterling holidays. We had specifically told the executive that we will take the membership only if they would arrange for your vacation at New York .However when we asked them, it was denied to us and the RCI said that we don't offer it in the 14 days free stay offer. So we asked them to give us the reservation on our regular 7 days offer. But that too they denied saying non availability of rooms in new york. Then
          we were asked to pay rs.11000 for that . We agreed to pay but still there was no assurance that we will get reservation! So after all this harassment we have decided to withdraw our membership as we cannot tolerate the same for next 25 years. We have already sent a cancellation
          email on 6th of May which is before 60 days of down payment and therefore we are eligible for refund of money according to their terms and conditions. So we request you to kindly look into this matter and provide us justice to get the refund of our hard earned money.

            Cancel my membership and refund my money back

            I have not used any of the services from sterling holidays till now and asking them to refund the amount i have paid for the membership. I have paid them more than 2 Lacks till date and when i ask them for cancellation of membership and refund the amount back, they are refusing to payback the amount. Tried calling so many times and sent mails regarding the same but, till date i did not get proper response from them.

            I Mr Arvinder Singh Bedi hold a membership of Sterling holidays vide membership no[protected].09.2015), I had a bad experience dealing With Mr Rameshwar, Who took me for a ride promising the stars, but failed to honour any queries during my communication with him, which lead to him not answering my calls later .
            I lost my patience and sent a mail for cancellation of the membership ( oct 15), but unfortunately due to massive flooding in chennai my request was put on hold, On resumption of operations i appraised them of my case of refund,
            I was informed Mr Rameshwar if i wish to cancell my membership i would be debited 25 % of paid amount and the balance would be refunded, I had paid Rs 1, 28, 381 and was excepting a deduction of Rs 32, 095 only
            But on further communication with Ms Sharayu (23.02.2016) who took up my case for closure informed me that 25% of the memberhip amount would be deducted for which illustrations are as under

            VO Product Price :- Rs. 4, 48, 573
            Admission fees (60% of VO product price) :- Rs. 2, 69, 144
            25% Retention Fees :-Rs. 67, 286
            DP Realized :- Rs. 1, 28, 383
            Net Amount refundable :- Rs. 61, 097
            She was very cooperative in her approach and also offered me better discounts and vouchers to retain me as their customer. But some how things didn’t materialize . Left with no other option i asked her to go ahead with their unreasonable refund policy .
            I am appraised now (27.04.2016) that the case has been put up with Mr Ritesh Thakkar (Mumbai Branch head )to settle my issue
            This is just a case of professional extortion by white collar sales guys hired by the brand where their only intention is ..
            1. Forcing a customer to go for a membership (to decide on the table to avail better discount)
            2. On realisation of chq all commitments fail
            3. On cancellation every body passes the buck
            4. Even after aggreing to their terms of refund no refund
            Is that the company strategy to enrol and forget about the members, we are still to learn “ refund with no questions asked “ and prompt

              Sterling time share company is cheating its old members by reneging on their committments as provived in the contract/agreements.

              We are holding vacation timeshare membership of Sterling resorts Mussoorie and Sterling Goa vagator .We are entitled for one week holiday every year for 99 years during the alloted week.The agreement provides for an accommodation with a wet kitchenette and also provides for exchange, sale, renting, gifting, accumulating and floating of my time share week.

              The service track record of Sterling has been poor since inception .They have been short changing and cheating its old fixed week vacation time share members by resorting to unfair trade practices.
              1. Sterling has oversold their fixed week time share weeks in most resorts( almost 2-3 times than its capacity).Having oversold the accommodation and after having pocketed the money they are trying to discourage members to avail of their holidays entitlement by all means and by denying them reservations.

              2.Till recently most of their resorts were poorly maintained despite having paid upfront for amenities besides paying annually for maintenance.
              3..In violation of the agreement Sterling has replaced its wet kitchenette i.e Hot plate, steam cooker, rolling pin, utensils, with dry kitchenette( microwave) citing fire hazard. You even refuse to provide induction cookers and utensils causing immense problems for all members in general and for strict vegetarians in particular.As it is impossible to prepare Indian style food in a microwave oven thereby forcing members to take heavy & oily meals in expensive restaurants. A family of 4 staying for a week has to shell out in excess of ₹ 28000 and at a great risk to their health. We had bought the time share essentially for the reason that it allowed us to cook our meals in a wet kitchenette as per our liking and convenience . By withdrawing the wet kitchenette Sterling has cheated us.
              Why are they doing this because
              4.Although provided in the agreement it is very difficult almost impossible to obtain an exchange reservation during holidays and weekends in any of their properties in mussoorie, manali, Corbett, Nainital, Goa etc.Citing no vacancy they deny the members their rightful due .They sell the time share rooms as hotel rooms at higher prices to non members/ walk ins through online bookings and travel agents.By doing this Sterling is cheating members of their rightful due.
              5.Sterling is selling vacation rooms to outsiders and denying them to members under exchange .Their reservation system is opaque and secretive so that they can cheat the members.Everytime I have tried to book a room in exchange during holidays I have failed to obtain a reservation.
              6.As per the agreement one can sell, rent, gift his week but they discourage resale by imposing new and harsh conditions on new buyers.This they do so in order to sell their scheme to new gullible buyers at exorbitant prices. Having locked the existing members in a piquant situation they are preventing them from exiting.It is because of above factor that old membership are available at a steep discount to current prices.
              7.Sterling has started charging for early checlkout/ part utilization and for gifting holidays to non members in violation if clause 14 of agreement.
              8.A person buys a vacation membership after carefully selecting its location and evaluating the facilties offered at various destinations .I bought a fixed week Sterling time share week in Sterling Goa vagator specifically because of its location and proximity to the beach. Sterling sold this property in Goa Vagator without intimating members let alone taking permission from them and in total voilation of trust.The two properties in Goa being promoted and offered to members by sterling are located far away from the beach and hence a let down.We are seeking a compensation from Sterling for this violation.
              9.It does not make economic sense to buy a membership for 25 years.The current price of a1BR studio for 7 days in high peak season is ₹3.0 lacs for 25 year membership.The current AAC is ₹4905 days and daily utility charges are ~₹1000/day.The interest on the 3 lacs @10%/ year amounts to ₹30, 000 /4500/day.Adding all above this comes to ₹6000/day excluding food.At this price one can easily find a star hotel in any of the location where Sterling has its resorts.It is therefore foolish to buy a Sterling membership and become their captive and remain at their whims and fancy.

              I have written to Sterling to provide me with the list of vacation time share members so that an association can be formed to protect its interests.
              Sterling has failed to respond and I am reaching out to this forum to forewarn members who are planning to invest in Sterling . BEWARE OF TIMESHARE SCHEMES OF STERLING RESORTS OR CLUB MAHINDRA .Don"t be lured by their catchy advertisements and repent later.

                Sir, last week of March 2016 in giner hotel tirupur sterling coimbatore devision manager started event for 25yrs plan at the time, I went for information purposes they asked my debit card and Id proof, They told checking for ur balance I gave pin no but the taken 2000 rup, they told we will transfer to my account within 10 days now 20 days over nobody won't atten call pls kindly do need full and replace my amount vinayaga Prabhu

                  I have taken sterling holiday resorts limited 25 year plan yesterday and paid rs.10000 from my citi bank credit card. But due to some personal issues don't want to continue and have requested sterling and mr. Tophan barik twice to cancel the membership and don't ask citi bank to do emi's. Also refund my rs.10000 as it's the clause in the documents i got. But he is denying to refund etc. My application no.[protected]. I have given him my aadhar and pan image with my wife's pan image too he took.

I was approached by mr rameshwar lal on 09 march 2016 regarding sterling holiday membership.I applied for the same on 09 march 2016 and immediately paid rs 17, 903 on 09 march 2016.Again subsequently i paid rs 59, 709 as on 10 march towards membership fees .As soon i became member of sterling holidays ltd, as per membership plan i applied for availing...

                    I was contacted in tanshique show room by sterling holiday resorts and sold a one year programme, which if i wish can be continued and several promises were made by mr. Akash about the offer. He created a trap of words and promises to make me pay immediately rs. 80, 000/ . He promised to come and sort out the issues involved, as i informed him that e-mail notification was not as per our discussion. I called him several times, he is either in wedding/function. He lied several times saying he will visit today, tomorrow etc, but did not bother and later his phone is switched off. I immediately understood all is not well. I had asked to make booking, earlier, when i was told that it is done and i shall soon get the confirmation. Even after a month and after many enquiries on phone and e-mail, there is no confirmation of booking. So, then i send a mail to their feedback service to cancel my membership and refund my money, as till now i have not used any of their services and they have not fulfilled any of their promises.
                    They will have to pay me back the money given to them. Please anybody who reads this, spread it widely. I am going to send complain to tanshique too. I would have never bought this plane unless they were backed by tanshique.

                    I wish to highlight the fraudelent and cheap marketing tactics employed by STERLING HOLIDAYS. I availed the white membership plan in April 2015 (details can be traced from my Cust Id 1221050) with a down payment of 27043/- (cheque) and opted to pay the remaining membership fee in 12 equal EMIs after of 22, 000. The names of sales representatives were Mr. Yogesh Jain, Mr. Yogesh Kasurde and one more lady having Mob No[protected].

                    The following benefits were promised: (all of which is mentioned on the explanatory note obtained at the time of booking)
                    1) 10 reference credits (9x8000 + 1x5000 = Rs 77, 000/-) to be credited to my account after 4th EMI
                    2) 2 year RCI Membership (I learnt in 2016 that it is valid only for 1 year)
                    3) Complimentary additional holiday package of (6N/7D) during the first year
                    4) Normal benefits such as disounts, food vouchers etc

                    I kept on asking for an email confirmation and receipt which was promised to be delivered within 10 working days which however was received after 2 months from date of booking.

                    Thereafter, on contact after paying the 4th EMI, Sterling staff (Vinita Singh, Poonam S) flatly refused promise of 10 reference credits to which I expressed complete disappointment and requested them to cancel my membership. To my utter surprise, the reply given was - NO REFUNDS AFTER 10 DAYS AS PER COMPANY POLICY !!! Mails have been sent to the following addreses - [protected]@sterlingholidays.com, [protected]@sterlingholidays.com, poonam.[protected]@sterlingholidays.com, online.[protected]@sterlingholidays.com to no avail.

                    It is also to be noted that the company keeps on asking for AMC every year which was 7440 in 2015 and 9913 in 2016 which is without justification as we can get a booking at any good hotel for 07 days for this amount without having the trouble of membership costing approximately 3 lakhs !

                    I have since filed a complaint with local police station and also intend to pursue the matter with consumer court to expose this fraudulent and unethical company.

                      Dear Sir,

                      I had booked a room in the Ooty, -Fern Hill of Sterling Resorts for the period 31st Deember, 2015 to 2nd January, 2016, by paying an advance amount equal to Rs 7000/-. My confirmation voucher number is 439712. The booking confirmation was done to me through an email dated 8th October, 2015. After about 20 days of booking I was told that there would be mandatory gala dinner charges Rs 4999/-, applicable on 31st December evening for the new year celebration. As I was not intending to spend the mandatory gala dinner charges, which was not told to me at the time of booking the room, I requested the resort management to cancel my booking and refund my advance amount. I was told that my request would be processed within 20-25 days and was asked to email my bank details. I had mailed my bank details on 29th October and the same was acknowledged by the resort management through a return mail dated 30th October. Since that time my refund has not been done in spite of repeated phone calls made by me for which the only reply I get every time is that they would get back to be within half an hour which has never happened so far.
                      I am deeply pained to note the way the customers are being put to hardships by a resort of high repute like yours. You may please resolve my issue at the earliest.

                        Here I am suresh v nandaniya, I have taken membership during seminar in porbandar, on 19/02/2016 due to force that if you join by taking instant decision today then you will be able to get special package. And if you will find any problem within 10days then you can leave by getting 100% refund within 10days. But I applied for cancellation on 20/02/2016 at same place and still today I didn't get my money. I have joined on the base and surety of his officer to cancel the membership within week and I will get the refund same time but now they say that it is not in our hand, it will be done by account dept.

                        Also after telling that I applied for cancellation during getting welcome call from Chennai, they generated my ID & sent it to me. And now say that your ID is generated so it will take time for refund.

                        Don't speak lie. After calling your help center at Chennai they also said our officer will call back but no calling.

                        That is not enough but i tried to call for help at Chennai & Ahmadabad but no one reply politely & gave me satisfactory answer. also said that don't call me i am not for that I am from other department. whom did you give my number? I am speaking lie because I have name of all person /staff member to whom i contacted.

                          I have opted for membership of Sterling Holidays. my membership i.d. is 1221891.
                          I was assured by Mr Sagar Bhandari that i will be given stay in orange county, coorg( which is an RCI property) and I registered for conditional membership.
                          which obviously was not completed.The registration form on which I have signed had a cancellation policy in which no amount will be deducted if i cancel the membership within 6 months. when I called to cancel my membership i was told that as per new rules not a single rupee will be refunded to me. STILL I said to cancel my membership.Buy till today my EMI are being deducted from my account.
                          I want my Membership cancelled and my money refunded.
                          Please note it is my hard earned money and it is being siphoned against my wish.

                            I have to raise a complaint against Mr. Mahindrasinh Jadeja ( Sterling Holidays – Surat Branch).

                            My Self Mr. Alpesh Gurusharan Prajapati. I had a call from Sterling to attend a seminar held at Vadodara on dated 6/12/2015. In that seminar I met to Mr. Mahindrasinh Jadeja. And in that seminar He commited to Me & my wife for a one year one time payment of Rs. 24, 879.00/- package for 7 night & 8 days + 2 night & 3 days (for attending seminar) (Total 9 nights & 10 days) with including Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. Also Mr.Jesal Jayant Barot (Branch Incharge of Surat Branch) also commited and confirm above package, which I have written in my form copy.

                            But after some days I got a call from sterling about 25 years package, than for a first time I refuse that call. After that Mr. Mahindrasinh called me and confirm that this is just welcome call you say yes for that but package which you will get that as per commitment and no amount will deduct from my credit card. So I said yes to welcome for on second call.

                            But after few days I got Package as per welcome call taken by me. And also Rs. 6, 123.00/- were deducted from my credit card on 8/2/2016.

                            So I tried really hard to contact Sterling Holidays Surat Branch & Mr. Mahendrasinh Jadeja for this Issues. But only fake commitment given by him. Only I called him everytime. Sometime he switched off his phone. Sometimes he told me I am busy but no solution of my problem. Also I called at Surat branch & complained about Mr. Mahendrasinh Jadeja but they also neither call back nor did anything about my problem.

                            After almost 3 months still I didn’t get my package and not even my money Rs. 6, 123.00/- which were deducted without my permission.

                            So finally I am writing this mail to Sterling Holidays that I don’t want any packages from you. But please give my full money back in my account. Because seriously I tired from all this things.

                            I didn’t expect this type of issues from Sterling Holidays; it will give you negative publicity to you. I also never join sterling in future and never recommended to my relatives, friends, colleague etc.

                            Also if my problem will not solve within a week, I should go to take a legal action against Sterling Surat branch & Mr. Mahindarsinh Jadeja. Also I will complaint in consumer court about all this fraud done by sterling to me. I have all call recordings and massages done with Mr. Mahendrasinh Jadeja & Sterling Holidays welcome call which was I denied first. It will be taken as a proof.

                            Solve my problem and give my money back in my account as soon as possible.

                                I am Manish Shah, a customer of Sterling Holiday Resorts India Ltd. My customer id is 1219805 and I have registered for SHVOP Product plan on date 21-Apr-15.

                                Sterling Holidays Resorts (India) Ltd, executive Mr Vedang Vaishnav from Ahmedabad had introduced me to Sterling holiday resorts during one of the similar event happened at Vadodara at Cargo Motors in the month of Apr'15. At the time of joining I gave him a couple of cheques for down payment & EMI of Rs.27, 043.00 and Rs. 7811.00. We agreed to join with the mode of EMI payment option as cheque as tick in the Application form for purchase of SHVOP, Form number[protected] dated 15-Apr-15, for which I have a customer copy with me.

                                We were also promised by Mr Vedang Vaishnav and his senior for HFRP benefit for Rs. 31, 000 as for giving three references on the date of joining. Further we were told that only four installments are to be paid by us initially, then once we can plan a holiday and if we like the resorts we can continue with sterling resorts otherwise we can quit the plan. We agreed to above and joined sterling resorts, but I am really very sorry to say that your executive Mr Vedang Vaishnav cheated on us.
                                (i) My mode of payment which was through cheque was changed to ECS without any prior consent or notice to me. When I came to know about that it was too late, my another three installments were already cut. ie. I had paid for eight installments instead of four, before planning a holiday. I asked Mr Vedang Vaishnav through mail send on 30-Oct-15 (copy attached) to hold the installments until I take the experience of your resorts and also to return the extra installments that have been cut without my consent. Your executive didn’t take any steps regarding this and in the process my two other installments were also deducted through ECS. Total amount taken by Sterling Holidays Resorts (India) Ltd, is Rs.27, 043 (DP) + Rs. 7, 811 (PDC) + Rs. 54, 677.00 (ECS- W/o our Consent) = Rs. 89, 531.00
                                (ii) I was also promised Rs 31000 as HDFC Visa Gift Card (HFRP) for giving three references but that also I have not received till date, which is against the ethics of any company or the executive which was assured during the sales and we have in writing with own handwritings of Mr. Vedang.
                                (iii) As Mr Vedang Vaishnav was the person who introduced me to this plan I requested him to do the needful some two months ago but no action has been taken by him, and above that he never answers or picks our call. on his last meeting held at our residence on 19-Nov-15, he again assured us as a part of retention and his request that he had already talked with his manager Mr. Balbir Singh for return of all the additional EMI's deducted after our mail communication to him which we send in the month of Sep-Oct'15.
                                (iv) Priority given to non-members of Sterling for holidays booking which i came to know while booking seeing the availability of Daman Resort, when i inquired thru telephone they told the availability is not there but when i am seeing the availability as a guest on the website for the same resort and same dates then it is available.

                                On 19-Nov-15, below things were discussed and agreed by Mr. Vedang Vaishnav for which we have written paper from his side.

                                Extension of all the offers validity to be extended for 3 years + 1 year extendable from the date when our excess deducted EMI has been refunded back, as the issues are going on and we don’t have trust on the company any more but still after so much request we agreed to avail the offered holidays.

                                Subsequently Mr. Bhanu (Manager of MR. Vedang) also spoke to me twice individually and thru conference call with Mr. Vedang on 17-Dec-15 and assured us that the money will be refunded at the earliest and they both were suppose to visit again Baroda for personal meeting in the 3rd week of of December but on all the dates of meeting they were not coming and before 2 hours of the meeting time they used to call me and convey me about not being able to come due to some or other reasons which I feel that they are just passing on time and are not interested in giving the customer support and services.

                                I have been cheated and would like to have my all money refunded with market rate of personal loan interest from the date it has been deducted till the date it will be paid to us as I don’t trust the company or its employees any more.

                                Today with no option left I have done the stop payment of the ECS.

                                Even i am not getting proper support from their Customer Relationship Department, as per their last email dated 14-Jan-16, they were suppose to give me the solution on or before 18-Jan-16, but till date (1-Feb-16) nobody has reverted back nor i have got any solution for my problems.

                                I would sincerely urge the public not to enroll for any of the STERLING HOLIDAY RESORTS (INDIA) LTD products.

                                All points have not been addressed by your company or your executive, In my complain i have asked for the interest for the amount of Rs.54, 677.00 which deducted thru ECS (without my consent) for the days company has utilized my funds for more than 8 months.

                                Would request you to process my interest payment at the earliest in order to avoid any further legal procedures from our side.

                                  I had given a amount of Rs.27105/- for a membership with Sterling Holiday. I had received my registration Number 1225180 on 17th December.
                                  Due to some financial issue i do not want to continue my membership so i applied for cancellation of membership on 18th December . I had written a e mail to them and i got a reference number for the same for my application acknowledge.
                                  As per term and condition i am eligible to get refund if i applied within 10 days.
                                  Now they are saying we do not have refund policy.
