    On 24th aug 2011, I recharged sun direct DTH & I called customer support for enabling few channels. I opted for AXN, ZEE studio, SET MAX, NGC, Animal Planet, Star sports, Star Cricket, Star Movies, HBO, Discovery. They informed me that channels will be activated within 2 hrs time. When I checked, I found that AXN, ZEE studio, SET MAX, NGC, Animal Planet were activated where as other channels - Star sports, Star Cricket, Star Movies, HBO, Discovery were showing errors (E16-4 error). I thought these channel may still be in the activation process.

    Exactly last Saturday i.e. 27th aug 2011, when i checked this channels, i found the same error still displaying. So I called Sun Direct Customer Support and I briefed the whole stuff, then they tried few things like manually updating channels, but its of no result. They said like within 3hrs time their technical persons will callback to my number and they will sort out. I asked them that these channels are not activated yet, but still I paid for it...since for the last four days these channels are not in active, I would want you to extend the validity end date to four days for these channels, but in response they said like, channel validity is already fixed when you recharge, it can’t be refixed. I said it is like looting money from the customer, the user can only recharge & can inform you about the activation. But if its not activated properly, then you have to bare it, instead o[censored]sers who is still have to call you enabling channels. I was not interested in insisting them for extending the validity of channels, since I was too keen on enabling the channels. They gave me an complaint no:[protected]I don’t know what for they gave this).

    I waited till evening, once again I called the sun direct dth support and I referred the complaint number but again they are asking me what the scenario is, I said I have already made the complaint it will be there if you checked your system with this complaint number. But they were very reluctant and insisting me to inform me once again, so without any options, I briefed everything once again. Then they asked me to check the channels again. I checked it and said, it is showing the same error, in return they informed me that I will receive an call from the technical support within half an hour to 24hrs (Really bizarre thing is’t it, expecting call from 1/2hr to 24hrs). As usual I did’t received call.

    Again I called next day by 11am, referred the same complaint number but again they are asking me what the scenario is, really I got fed up with the complaint number what for they gave this? Its seems to be a mere nonsense, I once again I briefed out everything, in return they said me to check the channel. I did check and informed the same old story that it shows the same error. Then they informed me that with in 3hrs time I will be receiving call from their technical support. As expected no calls from them, again I called them by night 8pm, again one guy promised that I will receive call within 2hrs time, I said this answer has been heard a lot, again no call from them.

    After going through this unpleasant experience, I could only explore the unreliability of Sun Direct DTH customer support and their lot of fake promises which makes customer to feel bad. I was really warned by lot of friends and relatives, when I told them that iam going to buy SUN DIRECT DTH. But now iam paying for that.....atleast people who ever reading this, pls don’t opt for SUN DIRECT DTH, it really sucks.

    Yes, also I could explore the unreliability of Sun Direct DTH customer support and their lot of fake promises which makes customer to feel bad.

      I have sun DTH connection through smart card no [protected] recharged on 18/8, while it was due on 21/8, but the service disconnected on 21/8. Despite several requests service is not started yet.When asked at call center they just waste time in asking same queries ,even not willing to give connection to senior exe. Will I get relief in this matter? Will they change their attitude? IS THERE ANY SCHEME TO CHANGE DTH SERVICE PROVIDER LIKE IN MOBILE SERVICES? Please give me informations.

        I bought sundirect DTH for Rs 2000 in Mumbai. Then I shifted from Mumbai to Delhi. My sundirect dish was re-installed on 5th Aug 2011. I paid Rs 450 for it. Then i recharged my account for Rs 250. Since 7th Aug, i have not been getting any channels, due to NO SIGNAL issue. I have put my complaints to below people till now: I wont mention complete mobile numbers of sun direct engineers.

          We were fine with the local Cable connections. Because of the advertisements of sun direct we were thought we could try it out. But never ever seen a worst service of this sort. By mid of July 2011, it stopped working and till date the customer service tell us a recorded system alike..."Your problems had been adviced to our technical team, they will sort it out"...My god ! where is the technical team? What are the below numbers which they gave?[protected] / 24620264. You can reach a xerox shop or a provision shop in this number..But You know they are the one who they said as the TECHNICAL TEAM NUMBERS.Kottivakkam[protected], a corporate office...One person picks up a call says its Sun Direct and will not wait for your words and just say sorry, sorry and ask you to call on mon if it is saturday(I called this day 20.08.11) and you can hear few of them giggling in between.           Hi this is raj, I have Sun DTV connection. For the past 25 days it is not working and the issue is 0 signal. I called sun customer service for more then 15 times, and filed 5 complaints, but they have not sorted out the issue, I spoke with Customer care executive Manual, Prabin, Anand, mohan, Margrat and TL Neelu etc they always say’s, before end of day it will be sorted out but till now it is not done. The real reason behind is the distributor in BTM AYYAPPA MARKETERS, are not ready to respond, and sun customer care does not have the power to make the distributor to provide the service, this was accepted by customer care TL Neelu. And the Average wait time for each call is 20 min. hence I advice you not to take Sun connection. Very poor customer service, I have never come across in my life. In advertisement they will say only RS 499, but the hidden charge of 1250 for installation is not mentioned. Other provider does not have this type of hidden charge. This is a good example to prove sun try to cheat customer.

          From August17, 2013 my system not working, showing fault E16-4 Service is Currently Scrambled also I was not able to log in with the original smart card no: [protected], when complained to your customer care office for Maharashtra, they said that they don't recognize the above smart card no. But we are always recharging with this number from 2011. Your customer care in Maharashtra provided a new Smart Card Number:[protected] use password as password, now I can log in but still showing the same fault E16-4 Service is currently scrambled.They advised to keep the system in ON position in KTV 102 channel, after 2 hrs it will be o.k. nothing happened same fault coming then now they says to wait 24 hrs and it will be o.k. I don't understand what is going on you may please take some immediate action to correct the fault. Your immediate action will be highely appreciated.

                My SUN DIRECT DTH Card Number is [protected]R.Sun direct DTH is registred from R.A.pandey.
                We uploaded 1 channel Star Cricket on Friday They have Charge us Rs 40.We uploaded Mega Shine pack also for Rs 1600 for 1 Year all channel we can see but only Star Cricket is showing Error E 16-4 service is currently scrambled from Friday we are calling at Sun direct Call Centre but they are telling on your setbox for 2 Hours it will be start but from friday we are not seen channel.

                  I have taken a DTH connection from SUN Direct on the 30/07/2011 through RR distributors, Bangalore. The technician installed the connection by 19:30 IST. However, I am unable to view a single channel as it throws up an error “E16-4 Service is currently scrambled” . I have made 19 phone calls to the customer care and 5 calls to the distributor.

                  Thrice I was advised by the customer care rep that they have done a refresh and I need to wait 2 hours. I did as instructed but it hasn't worked. The customer care reps hung up on me 6 times.

                  At 10:30 IST on 31/07/2011 Pavithra(CSR) informed that she has placed a request for hard refresh, the client service team will perform this and wanted me to wait for 6 hours. I waited for 6 hours in vain as nothing happened after that. I spoke to another rep at 16:15 and he wanted me to wait for another 4 hours.

                  I called customer care at 21:10 and was speaking to representative, he spoke for 10 mins and later did not speak or neither did he disconnect. I had to disconnect the line at last as there was no response.

                  The last call I made at 21:30 IST on 31/07/011 and spoke to three different people Nagaraj, Umesh and Arjun. Arjun from the technical team walked me through a few troubleshooting step but it did not work, later he did a refresh and wanted me to wait for 1 hour but nothing has worked.

                  I have spoken to the distributor and requested to send a technician, I was promised that the technician will be sent but no one has come.

                  I have paid Rs1640/- for the connection with a subscription for 6 months, Rs 125/- towards add on channels subscription. Rs 250 for installation charges. I haven’t received any value for the money that I have people. Its time for people to understand the pain of earning money. I have to be awake for three nights to earning this money.

                  I really regret for choosing SUN Direct DTH connection.

                  The service provided is exactly the opposite of the punch line of “Ton tona ton” used in the advertisement.

                    Error Code E 48-32 No signal
                    I had purchased sun dth before last two months and technicians not
                    completed fittings of antina properly. They had just installed the
                    antina in a wood reaper using two bolt and nuts and they had collected
                    Rs.250/- as installation charges.

                    Presently due wind and rain I am unable to watch the TV, due to the
                    poor installation. Antina is shaking .This was informed to the local
                    dealer at Kalpetta, and again he is asking Rs.200/- for re
                    installation.

                    This was badly affect the reputation of your firm. Kindly arrange to
                    send your service personnel to rectify the defects.

                      I am sun DTH customer with smart card number [protected]. Since yesterday E50-32 error message is coming over TV screen after getting whole screen blank . I contacted Sun DTH customer care[protected] and got the complaint number 1-[protected] and it has been said that technical person will contact you and problem will be resolved within 24 hours. On[protected] when no body has contacted me i again called the customer care and got surprised after hearing the sentence that " YOUR COMPLAINT HAS BEEN CLOSED". Without contacting me or without taking feedback from me complaint got closed. now they have given me another complaint number 1-[protected] and i will have to wait again for 24 hours. Simply no care of customers..Feeling very disappointed with the irresponsible behaviour of SUN DTH. Kindly do the needful as its not the way to provide the service.

                          I am customer of Sun Direct services since last 3 years with SCN#[protected]. I recharged my connection with one year subscription in March 2011 with Hindi Shine Pack. Since then I am not able to get all the basic channels. Only channels which I am able to view are Sony Entertainment, Discovery, SAB & Aaaj Tak. I have logged 3 complains with customer care but the issue remain un resolved.
                          I request you to look into the issue as soon as possible since it is been 3 months since I am not able to enjoy Sun Direct Services.
                          The message which is displayed when turning on other channels in the pack is
                          E16-4 Service is curently scrambled.

                            We have Sun Direct Set up Box, whose reference number is Smart card "[protected]", Customer Name "K R Krishnan" . We recharged our account by Rs.800 on 10th June 2011 and by calling the customer care on[protected] we asked to activate our account with the existing package (Basic Shine Hindi) for 6 months. But the customer care executive activated the South package and hence we were not able to view all the channels we enjoyed before. We immediately reported the problem on the same day reporting. Initially we were informed, to get back to the previous package all the amount we paid for recharge would be lapsed and we would have to pay again for starting the old package or be happy with existing package and pay extra to have the other channels. Later, the customer care officials replied that the complaint has been forwarded to the superior, and our problem will be solved within 48 hrs. We waited for more than 48 hrs, no change was made, we called again customer care on 12th June 2011, Complaint #[protected] we were told problem will be fixed within 24hrs. No one reported to fix problem , we had given several calls one after the other, but look like the customer care team complaint # 1-[protected] followed with another complaint # 1-[protected]. thereafter we have been calling almost everyday. always they give timeline and a new complaint number and assure us that problem will get solved within 11 hrs or 24 hrs or 48 hrs. On 23rd June, we were given the # [protected] of a distributor Mr. Arun, he asked us to message the complaint and we messaged thrice, but there was no response from his side as well.

                            When we ask the customer care executives to give their senior manager # so that we can speak and get to know where is the problem , they will reply back saying like no one is there, seniors are busy , we are not supposed to give any details. Sometime they ask us to hold for sometime by saying that they are transferring to their seniors, after keeping on hold they silently disconnect the line. When we try again calling at the same number, someone else would speak and say that I don't know with who spoke earlier and we have to repeat whole story and we will listen the same repeated message that "we noted your problem and will get it sorted within 24hrs". This I think is very serious issue as they are delibertely cheating the customer by not taking the problem seriously, then what is the use of customer care when they are not able to solve the customer problems. Instead these people give us false impression of solving the problem. In reality they just take the complain and go off. Also we have sent 3 mails to the Nodal Officer as well.

                            We need your help to fix it back to my old package as it is for 6 months and also fix these call centre peoples who make mockery of customer care cell. Instead taking note of the problem and escalating internally to get it resolved they just repeate the same message to customer, leaving them more frustrated and iriitated everytime the customer calls in. We feel they are making fun of customer. If Sun direct customer care team is not able to fix the problem let then reimburse the amount we spent on buying and installing their unit.Or else there should be committed to their after sales and should be committed on resolving the customer complaints.

                            As a consumer we feel cheated by the Sun Direct Company and the customer care cell. We want justice to this. By complaining to this site, hope we can get justice. Appreciate your response on my given email id ( kr.[protected]@gmail.com )

                              I have made an online transaction to recharge my Sun direct account (ID: [protected]) for Rs. 655 in times for 1 year subscription. The transaction reference no. is [protected].

                              Due sat-lite problem service not coming good for entire sun direct customers; then sun direct informed that you have to inform to customer care. Based on their information I was booked complaint on 11th Nov 2010 (C.No-1-[protected]), then was calling frequently and asking service. I was not getting any information. I was asking for call back from for answer, and complaint numbers are 1-[protected] (3rd Dec 2010), 1-[protected] (7th Dec 2010),[protected], 1-[protected], 1-[protected] (23rd Jun2011) & 1-[protected] (27th Jun 2011). There is no response from sun direct. Then I went to sun direct dealt and told the problem and they did re-a lineament on 22nd Mar 2011, due to no service for 4month I was called for validity extension (C.No:1-[protected], dt 23.03.2011). as per one year recharge my service was stopped on 27th Jun 2011. I am calling to sun direct customer care there is no response, they are telling validity will be extended.

                              I was sent a mail also to their contact email, no response for that also.

                              Please help me how proceed further.

                                I planned to take a new connection of Sun Direct DTH. For that I called up to the customer care no of sun direct([protected]) and given my details . The customer care executive told me that they are giving this request to their concern department and they will call me with in 24 Hrs. After 24 Hrs I have not received any call and I again called up and inform them .and the again took my details and told me the same 24hrs story. I have again wait for that . Actually this has happened three times .. But still i have not received any updates on it. I am really frustared for the SUN DIRECT CUSTOMER CARE SERVICE.
                                IF THEY ARE NOT SUPPORTING FOR A NEW CONNECTION,THEN HOW WILL THEY SUPPORT FOR SOME DTH RELATED TECHNICAL ISSUE. so I am going to choose some other DTH connection.

                                  we are your customar from last 9 months.in this gape a lot of problams shows in DTH connection on complaining sumtimes enngenier came and resolve it.But it has become a habit and shows your bad act of service.almost every month sum teknical or signal uselly come in connection.frm last 2 months on complaining yor teknician resolves it take charges of 150 rupees.but from last 10 days custmor care does nt give response or no lineman came after a number of compaints.bt if your service chagred 150 in every month and bad signal is always shown thn what is our benifit in this..
                                  so uninstall our service and pay back our saved deposit.by which we can contect any other DTH company.

                                    I made a recharge through the site 'Rechargeitnow.com' for my sun direct connection. The recharge was done on 6th Jun 2011 and the same has not been credited to my sun direct account till date, whereas the amoutn has been debited instanlty from the SBI account and also the site is showing the status 'recharge processed'. On the next day[protected] evening, I contacted the customer care and the person sitting over there assured me that it will get recharged within 24 hrs. And on the second day[protected] evening, again after talking to them for four to five times in an hour or less, they asked the transaction details and registered a complaint giving me a complaint refernce no starting like '[protected]' and assured me the problem will be solved soon either by getting the sun direct recharged or creditting back the money into my SBI account.Even at that point of time , nobody over there was able to give a clear idea regarding the failed recharge.On the third day[protected], despite of calling many times where each customer care executive gives a different feedback regarding the unsuccessful recharge and skipping off thereselves, no sign of recharge or revertion of amount into account.Again, I called them today with almost little hope and the first caller informed me like the amount has been vreditted back to my SBI account, which was not done. On second call, the person over there had no idea about my previous complaint or problems and he again registered a complaint quoting refernce '1-[protected]'.I lost all hope in them. For this single recharge of Rs.200/-, I almost spend around Rs.50/- or more for calling the customer care.

                                    This is not a single case. Even my previous recharge which was made through paper recharge coupon, I had to phone them for almost one week to get it done.

The amount has been deducted from my State bank of India account immediately and has been confirmed by State Bnak of India reference ( on line recharge ) IG 54073723. But the amount has not been credited in my Sun Direct customer account till now. I have sent complaint twice by mail and twice your Sun DTH Office. So for no responsible reply from you. All who attended my calls do not give proper reply. please advice

                                      I would like to bring your kind notice that, 1st May 2011 I have purchased Rs.300 currency using axis online banking but amount debited in my account not credited to sun direct account. I request bank in this regard, lated they send details of the transaction also they told this amount transfer to sundirect. Again I complint to sundirect custmer care they told that with in 24 hours problme will solved . I wait up to 48 housrs but no use. Againn I call customer care again they taken 24 hours same proces is repeted more than 20 times. In between I complint to Karnataka nodel office. They asked scanned copy of bank letter I send through online also couriar. But no use till today.amount not credited my account. One more problem I faced with sun direct, Earliar I am in Bidar that time I have purchased sundirect, Now I am shifted to bangalore I am asking change my address last one year they did not change till today. I hope your organsiation can solve my problem.

                                        This is heads up for all who would like to purchase SUN Direct. DON'T BUY SUN DIRECT DTH service. I have never seen such a worst service. I logged a complaint for bad reception for few channels and no action was taken from their side to rectify the issue. Every time I call customer care, they tell me to reinsert the Line-In cable and perform and manual scan. None of these options resolve the issue though. Iam fed up calling them and have decided to change my DTH service provider. They will never send their Technicians to your house to rectify the problem. Total waste of money

                                        I just purchase "Neo Cricket" pack from sundirect website, It's activated immediately.But' In the List menu i never find the name of Neo Cricket.So, I just made a call to it's customer care and explained my situation.the girl from there side said,your dish must be re alligned from sundirect technicians.But, You need to instruct me before i am going to purchse the pack, asked by me.She told, "We instruct you, If you made a call to us before you purchase it"....again i asked her..why i need to called you..Instead of it..You may display a prior message in your wesite. she didn't want to answer this type of questions.

                                        I said to her.."leave it..Is it possible to refund my money.."

                                        She old.."No..It's not possible.."
                                        again.."Why we pay our money for not given services..?" asked by me..
                                        Finally she said.." It's your mistake..we are not responsible for it.."

                                        This is the way they treat a customer..
                                        SUN DIRECT service is really worst, I have tried calling to customer care & teh nodal offices no response. Its really not good to go for sundirect.

I am not receivng any channel except free to air channels since Jul 2010. I approached the dealer for No of times and compained in custumer care. My complaint Numbers are given below.

                                        Many channels including Sun Music, Kalaignar TV, Jayaplus, RajTV and paid channels like Star Movies are not available for the past (nearly) two months. On 23-10-10, I rang to local dealer in [protected] they demanded Rs100 to adjust the dish.When I told about your ads that the service is free, They asked to dial to[protected]. I did so and Iam told that the technician will come in 4 days. Then I have sent U e-mails on 5th Nov.and so on.Also spoke to Ur customer care in [protected] many times. Till this date nobody came despite repeated request thro' phone, and I am unable to watch the channels for which I am paying that too in this festive times. Am I not ashamed of your service.What i[censored] charge for some channels and not providing any service to witness them. I[censored] try to upgrade and the dish has to be readjusted means, arrange for automatic readjustment of the dish without seeking for requisition from the customer. I am not happy that it is not complied with even if it is requested repeatedly. Iam much annoyed by this so called service.
                                        I received email asking me to tell my smart card num. Wont U see it is given in every correspondence at the top. Ur attendents do not know the diff between the smartcard num and contact num.
                                        Your service attendence is worst. Further I would like U to send some special technician to see how worst the dish has been installed. The installation is intact. If it is not rectified soon I will publish the photo o[censored]r worst installation in the web.Whatever may be, cant you ensure uninterrupted provision of service ?
                                        Whether I have choosen and paid for to suffer with Your faulty and interrupted service that too in a weekend. I repent.
                                        If such inconvenience persists further I will be constraint to caution others about this worst service in the interest of others welfare atleast. Sorry.

                                        This is what the company is saying. But for the past 2 months we are not getting 80% of the channels. We called up the agency people each and every day. But no one came and repaired it. after 2 months last week a guy came to repair it. But he made it worse and now we dont have any channels. He charged us RS 200/- and left the place. Then we traveled to the Sun Direct agency office 'MATHA Communication' at Chalakudy, Kerala, which is the nearest agency to our house. They replaced the dish and set top box.

                                        SUN's Cutomer CARE Department[protected] is not doing their services well, please close that department.

                                        My DTH is not working since last 3 months and no one is taking care. I called up Customer Care[protected]. I talked to Divya and then her Senior Divyanjali but both of them were unable to resolve my query that in how many days my DTH Services will started working. SUN DTH Customer Care Services are super BAD and I would say pathetic. The CUSTOMER Service people are good for nothing. First of all their number remains continuously busy and if you are lucky, get a chance to speak with some one then they can't give you any satisfactory answer. I am completely fed up from DTH Services, specially with CUSTOMER CARE People and want to disconnect the SUN DTH. Please let me know the procedure of enabling my DTH Services or disconnection procedure.

                                        Sun Direct — No technicians are coming to adjust satellite

                                        I have lodged a complaint on november 30 2010 in sun direct customer care but still now no actions have been taken by sun direct DTH.
                                        Require solution for your problem.

                                        I recharged my account on 19/12/2010 for Rs.266 (3 month subscription and got it activated on the same day after calling customer care) but i was not able to watch any channels after 21/12/2011 as i received a message in the Info channel stating that Sun Direct has moved to a new satellite and hence an engineer would come to adjust the dish as per the new satellite. So i made a complaint through the customer care after few days and the customer care executive told that soon a technician would come to align the dish. I waiter for over a week and called them again and again they took the complaint again and again. By now i really got frustrated and called customer care, this time i wanted an answer as when the technician would come. This time the technician gave a phone number of local technician to contact. I called to the number provided and was told that a technician would come in 2 days.

                                        A technician (from Zig Zag DTH Solution) came after 2 months (i.e. on 15/02/2011) and changed the dish alignment and he also provided me a bill for Rs.75 the service (i still have the bill). He told me that all migrations were already over and so he is charging me for the dish alignment. Also he told that my subscription would be extended since its down for 2 months. So again i made a complaint through the customer care and the executive said that many other people have requested for the extend the subscription. So i waited for so long but still my subscription was not extended.

                                        When SUN Direct Migrated to new Satellite it is their duty to align the Dish free of cost. Does Sun Direct neglect its customers ???? I strongly recommend people not to buy SUN DTH as they ado not care for their customers.
                                        Forgot to mention that still my Subscription was not extended.

                                        This is regarding the SUN Direct DTH service. I was trying to recharge a top up card for my DTH account. First , i tried through online and recharged my account fro 100rs, but it didnt get recharged till now . when i queried the call center representative, they said if i am doing through online it will take 48 HOURS to get recharged . I mean, whats the point of having an online recharge then !!! They also said if i recharge through a dealer it will take 15 mins only.

                                        Later i approached a dealer to recharge my account for 100rs . I paid 100rs and recharged my account, the dealer said my recharge has been queued and it will take 1 HOUR to get recharged. Now its 3hrs and still my account didnt get recharged.

                                        SUN Direct DTH offers the most pathetic service. Please take this into account seriously
