    Reason for mail : Not able to watch SAB channel since last 5 days


    First of all i shall aprreciate the duff and dum customer care team for their worst behaviour with the customer

    Daily we are lodging the complaint.we receive daily complaint no.- just for the sake of showing that they care for our valuable call,but no response even after 24 hours time as specified by them.The details are as under :

    1) on 9/4/2011 the complaint no. given by your customer care person who gave wrong complaint no.[protected] giving assurance that the SAB Channel shall be activitated within 24 hours.I do not want to disclose the name of person who spoke to me very arrogantly.

    2) on 10/4/2011 the complaint no.given was 1-[protected] giving the same assurance of getting activited by 24 hours.

    3) on 11/4/2011 the complaint no.given is 1-[protected] giving the same assurance that the SAB channel shall get activited very soon.

    WILL YOU PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT THE THE TIME LIMIT FOR 24 HOURS AS PER SUNDIRECT CUSTOMER CARE PEOPLE. FOR US IT IS ACTUALLY 24 HOURS MEAN 24 HOURS I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY YOUR CUSTOMERCARE PEOPLE ARE GIVING FALSE INFORMATION TO CUSTOMER AND JUST MIS-GUIDING THEM

    Do you want your customer should beg upon for getting their channel activated.

    Can you please provide me your noddle officer`s name and his/her mobile no./ e-mail address enabling me to send reply accordingly.

      i am experiencing lack of signal in my sundirect dth since 27 mar 2011, i called customer care many times, they tell that i will rectify the problem within 48 hours, but still (8 apr 2011) no response from them,very poor customer support, i activated 1 year subscription also now it is waste of money, now i am feeling guilty for buying sun direct, please take action against them, they are big frauds, they focus on new customers but not bothering about existing customers.

      Sun Direct — NO SIGNAL & LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE

      THIS IS A CONTINUATION TO MY VARIOUS COMPLAINTS TO SUN DIRECT (LATEST COMPLAINT NO[protected] DTD[protected]REGARDING NON-AVAILABILITY OF CABLE SIGNALS.

      AFTER A NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS BEFORE THAT THEY ARE TRANSMITTING ONLY 6-7 CHANNELS APART FROM DD CHANELS.

      IN THIS REGARD I INTEND TO SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING:
      1-FROM THE DAY ONE OF THE INSTALLATION , SUNDIRECT IS FAILED TO ATTEND ANY OF THE CUSTOMER PROBLEM IN TIME AND EFFICIENTLY.
      2-A NUMBER OF TIMES THEY HAVE CONTINUED THE PACKAGE SERVICE (AND DEDUCTED THE CHARGE FOR THAT WITHOUT INTIMATION)WHICH HAD BEEN ANNOUNCED FOR A PARTICULAR PERIOD (FOR EXAMPLE IPL-T20 ).
      3-THEY HAVE GIVEN ADs FOR HIGH QUALITY CHANNEL TRANSMISSION, BUT FAILED FOR THE SAME AND NUMBER OF CHANNELS OFFERED ARE ALSO DOES NOT MEETING( FOR EXAMPLE CHIRITHIRA CHANNEL AND OTHERS IN MALAYALAM).
      4- ONCE I HAVE STARTED STAR SPORTS FOR AUS OPEN TENNIS AND BEFORE THE VALIDITY OF THE PACKAGE EXPIRES I HAVE ACTIVATED ANOTHER PACKAGE OF STAR SPORTS+ESPN FOR FOOTBALL WORLD CUP ,WHICH HAD VALIDITY BEYOND THE FIRST PACKAGE . SUNDIRECT CONTINUED THE FIRST PACKAGE WITHOUT ANY INTIMATION AND OF NO USE TO CUSTOMER(ME) RATHER DEDUCTING THE PACKAGE CHARGE AS WELL. SUNDIRECT INVARIABLY USING THESE KIND OF TACTICS AND LOOTS HIDDEN CHARGES FROM ALL THE CUSTOMER. THEY INTEND EXPLOIT THE ORDINARY PEOPLE'S HARDSHIP O[censored]NABLE SWITCH OVER TO OTHER COMPANY DUE TO FINANCIAL IMPLICATION.
      5-IF THAT WERE NOT ALL, THEIR CUSTOMER EXECUTIVES ARE EITHER HIGHLY INCOMPETENT OR TRAINED FOR NOT ATTEND/ADDRESS CUSTOMER PROBLEMS . IN MY EXPERIENCE THE PROBLEM STARTS FROM THE DIFFICULTY TO GET TELEPHONE CONNECTION. THEIR SO CALLED EXECUTIVE TOOK ENORMOUS TIME TO ELABORATE YOUR /CONNECTION DETAILS WHICH REALY DON'T REQUIRED. AFTER THAT, THEY NEVER HEAR THE ACTUAL PROBLEM AND ADDRESS IT.MOST OF TE TIME YOUR CALL WILL END UP IN THE ANSWER THAT THEIR SYSTEM IS SLOW. ALL THIS SHOWS THE POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AS WELL AS THE LOUSY PROBLEM SOLVING.

      SO THIS IS A SINCERE ADVICE TO ALL NEW ASPIRANTS OF SUNDIRECT CONNECTION, THEY NEVER GET INTO SUCH A MESS WHICH IS OF NO USE RATHER MAKING A HOLE IN YOUR POCKET.

        Sun direct which is the leading DTH operator in country is failed to fulfill its costumer views in providing the free channels which are being transmitted by DD direct and including all the leading DTH operators through out the country.The company is also not looking for costumer satisfaction as it is taking tooo many days to resolve a particular complaints raised by costumer in different sector.

          I have been using Sun Direct since 2008, It is cheap both cost wise and service wise. We faced issue with the set top box almost first 10-15 days, They tried all possible combination of changing the set top box, cable. Dish etc., finally 5th set top box worked. it worked almost 2 years fine after that slowly it stated giving issues. Like giving lot of noise during start up and then not working for first 15 mins, now it is not working for first 1 hr. I have been giving complaint for last 3-4 months no proper resolution done. now the started telling I have to pay money for the replacement of set top box.

          most of the time their call center number is down. the nodal officer number itself wrong.

          On the whole, Sun Direct is good as long as it works, else don't expect any service from them :(

            Dear sir,

            I recharged my SUN Direct Account as on[protected] after that i am getting error message service is unavailable from net work .I spoke with customer care lot of times but i did get proper response from them. More over every time they are telling we will resolve the issue within 24 hours but i did not get channels. I have complaint numbers with me.

            I had same experience with SUN DIRECT DTH.They won't respond for our Issue.
            I would suggest you please handover your DTH connection to delaer and take Other service.Please don't wast your time regarding this.

              As seen on TV advertisement, recharged my SUN Direct DTH service for one year using the recharge card, but I have not got the free cricket channels as promised. Whenever I call the customer team, they are saying that as usual your monthly amount was cut from the recharge amount, so we can not provide, some say we will provide within 2 days and give complaint number, but nobody can find the resolution of complaints. This is the same problem faced one year back in March 2010 also. When I asked same about 2010 complaint, the customer team guy said that they didnt offer any free service in 2010, but hope everybody remember that in 2010, they offered free IPL for every one year recharge. Still the complaints raised in 2010 and 2011, all are open. This is a more disgusting and horrible service from the company.

                Hi,

                I have subscribed a DTH connection in Chennai from Sun Direct in 2010 . My connection Smart Card no.[protected].I have chosen a yearly plan for which the payment of Rs. 1500 has been made in advance.

                But within a month into the plan, problems started and I stopped receiving any channels through the set top box supplied by Sun Direct.I contacted the Sun Direct customer care and they assured that they would send a technician to my home to look at the problem within 48 hours.But there was no sign of any person. Thus started a long list of calls from my end and only assurances that someone will be sent to rectify the issue sun direct.

                No amount of explanation or coaxing or shouting seemed to have any effect on their service and they continue giving false assurances, Sun Direct customer service has been really pathetic, unhelpful and has put me under a lot of stress trying to get the service that I have paid for. It has been almost 2 Months and i don't see any solution insight.

                They have no concern for customer complaints and I ve seen this problem with many of my friends who have taken Sun Direct connection.I am at my wits end and disgusted with Sun Direct’s attitude towards customers and not sure how to get my grievance addressed by Sun Direct DTH.

                Hi,
                I am Jayakumar and I am right now facing similar kind of issue from Sun Direct..I would rate them as the most irresponsible Service provider and their executives are not even qualified to handle customer quesries. I have paid 1990 1 month back and got 1 year connection and exactly after 1 month all the channels exept Kalaingnar TV and Kairaly got disconnecte. Now every day one of my agenda is to call the so called customer service people, where I need to plan for atleat 1 hrs to get the line and even after getting into IVE there is no guarantee that your call will be attended. Most funniest thing is when you get into the IVR the message says
                1)If you want to speak in malayalam press 1
                2)If you want to speak in English Press to. When I pres 2 still I will be forced to speak in Malayalam as the executive don't know English...then what is the point in asking that question.

                I have been following with the Customer service team and they don't know how to speak to a client or resolve the issue. Whenever I request them to speak to the team leader, they never transfer the line. and tell me that the team leader will call youi before 9pm or 10 pm but never use to call me back even today after fighting with Mr Rafeeq customer service executive, he assured me that Team leader will call be back in my number that never happenned.

                I don't have any other option but to go to consumer corurt...Please do write to me @ [protected]@gmail.com in case you have similar issues with Sun Network. We can also publish in face book and twitter..

                Sun Direct is the worst customer service unit I have ever seen...

                  Sun Direct HD are cheating it's customers by asking for absurd price for HD world cup package.

                  They have asked me 13000 ruppes for Cricket HD telecast in ESPN and star cricket.

                  where most of the other companies are providing packages at very low price of 150 or nominal prices.

                  This is a absurd and has to be taken care.

                  I came to hear form sun hd customer care Rs.3250 charging for watching world cup cricket 2011 in hd.

                  It seems to be foolishness, 200 to 300 bugs is genuine to charge from people.

                  Idiotic way of cheating people.

                  Even the Highest cricket fan will not also not watch by paying this much amount

                  Will Maran family check this matter.
                  its not 3250, now it has been increased to 13, 000 INR. These people greedy and crazy
                  They are cheating people and it is unfair. Govt. should intervene and take necessary steps to control the rate.
                  Sun Direct HD connection is a Cheat. The HD Transmission of the 8 channels are very poor and they dont attend complaints immediately.They charge exorbitant charges for HD channels and Service is very poor.They have to attend to transmission complaints free, but they charge also.It is only two months since i took the connection and I am stuck after spending so much of money.

                    Hi,

                    I paid 1850 to recharge Sun Direct last September. The local distributor told he will recharge but had put the money in his pocket. Then I called Sun Direct n-number of times and lodged a complaint against the dealer and then the dealer recharged my Sun Direct account after two months.

                    By this I didnt see TV for two months. Then things were fine for two more months. Then again came the head ache. They have changed the satellite from where Sunb DTH is being broadcasted and it needs re-alignment of DTH antenna. No one turned up fot that and I am left without any TV channels to see again for two months since. I have raised 4 complaints till now in the call centre and they say they will come and rectify it but no one would turn up.

                    The next time if I call quoting it they will lodge a new complaint rather than re-opening the old one. This is happening for two months.

                    Now they gave some dealers contact number who is charging us 200 as service charge to re-align. why should I pay 200 extra for these people for them to change satellite despite paying 1850 as annual subscription. and after looking into the set top box he says some problem with the box and is charging 150 again extra for servicing it. Man .. I am done with my patience. But still nothing can be done we paid this 350 and are waiting for the Set Top Box to arrive.

                    WORST POSSIBLE SERVICE AND WORST POSSIBLE CUSTOMERCARE and WORST POSSIBLE DEALERS AND DISTRIBUTORS.

                    PLEASE DONOT OPT FOR SUN DIRECT AND ALL EXISTING CUSTOMERS PLEASE DONOT RECHARGE FOR ONE YEAR PLEASE HAVE IT AS MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION ELSE THESE PPL WILLNOT EVNE CARE FOR OUR HARD EARNED MONEY.

                    A very dissatisfied customer of Sun DTH.

                      we shifted our house from cochin to coimbatore where we constrcuted new house we given our mobile no and address to our fracnchies to give connection therewere neglected in totoal after wards two persons are come at intervel of 5 munites to install the same both are from sun direct they taken our setup box which is not function properly they stated they will feed the programmes and install the same at our house but a week is passed so for no responce, hope and trust one the importatant posisition can look into this and solve our problem which we are facing now.

                          I have not received the channel last four Months ( It has error of e6 or e9 )
                          I had complaint with customer care Line . But still no responsible.
                          Please create awarness of consumer this matter.

From to-day morning I tried to put on T V channel, all the channels give message ' currently scrambled' and I not able view any channel. Please rectify the same at the earliest.

                              Since last one Year I am watching the Sundirect DTH - From 3 months onwards i am not getting any channels , so i am calling sun dierct help line regulary but no use . They promised me to rectify the problem within 48 hours. But i unable to tolerate that why they punished me this, More Than 50 Times I called and register the complaints to customer care Department - the Staff everyone says simply said the word sorry for the Inconvenience and wait for 48 Hours. I got frustrated and still i am not getting the connectivity for watching the Mama TV ,ETV , other channels Live. I need a compensation for my loss on that particular day and still i am not getting my channels .

                                I have recharged Star Cricekt Add on on 18-Feb-2011. But the add on is not activated. So i called many times and i informed to customer care people. They said your problem will be solved by technical persons with 48 hours. But still its not solved. Same time today i called and asked the status, one Guys told your recharged amount goes to someone connection, they will redirected your recharge amount to some one connection. So far it still not activated. So we are taking another complaint.

                                VERY VERY STUPID, BAD, WORST REPOSNSE.
                                Really i am frustarted and have heavy tension.

                                Dont buy or anything in the Sun Direct.

                                  vanakkam this is sivaraj [protected] .setbox was not functioning.gave to Bangalore gourava nagar distributor [protected] [protected]. that incharge told me that it can be replaced only at Madras. I went Madras and learnt that it can be done only at Bangalore. Again I requested the Manjunath to get it serviced.. He told me that it will take more than one month. And suggested me to replace someother instrument with a cost of 300 rupees. I agreed . And took the other secondhand set. Within a fortnight that box also got repair . He replaced other one.As that one also gives some problem i asked the incharge to give me the original one which i gave for service. He got wild and speaks unparlimentary words and shouting. Behave like a wild police man towards a culprit / thief. His subordinate Rajini also joins with him and talk indiscipline way.

                                  I told them that it is not worth to run a shop like this. you people do not know how to behave with customer ..with minimum manners. Better wind up and give it to some worthful guys who can serve people.

                                  It is not the first time. And i have already wrote you previously also..

                                  Better change the shop ... and get your cards credited. Find out some suitable fellow to run the distribution for the credit of SUNDIRECT. at this place. Or Introduce new shop nearby.

                                  If you want me I can tell my house owner to do this job. He has own house and shop area free at place which is one km from this shop. HE speak tamil kannada telugu, hindi English, sourashtra urdu.Qualified in Electrical diploma engineeering. And did M A. with Kamaraj university.B Ed with Alahabad University.                                     WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have Sun direct DTH connection, with Smart Card no. ( [protected] ).I have chose Tamil Basic Pack and I also have so many add on packages activated, but we changed the set top box since there was a satellite transfer which forced us to buy a new set top box, but since then, I'm not able to receive any channels. We are not able to see even DD , especially Cricket world cup, Set top box waits for long time, and the channel has shaky images which is intolerable. Also there are errors which it shows like searching for signal and scrambled error. Also the set top box hangs in middle and it reboots. I have discussed this issue in customer care in their forum through emails and also tried to contact through phone but there has been no response. So i request you to direct this issue to them as they have not yet approached us.

                                        I'm not getting any response from the service provider (Sun Direct). From December’2010, they have changed the satellite. From that time we are not able to get the signal. I have made so many complaints thru phone as well as online from their sun direct site. No one will come and attend. I paid my subscription in advance for one year. It ends on 2 May 2011. Almost more than 2 ½ month's, I didn’t using their service & no proper response from their end. Anytime I make a call to them they said will come and attend without mentioned any deadline.
