my shop is in jadavpur, kolkata 32 . a salesman of sun tv who is now transferred to eastern region (probably in assam) named ashok dey [protected] cheated me rs.5600. I complaint against this person to higher authoraties but till now my problem is now solved
my smart card no is [protected]R i used to give complaint from last one month. Every time i used to give complaint in customer care they promise us that within 2 hrs a technician will contact us but still day not even a single technician contact us. I also met the shope person from i purchased this fraud DTH he visited my house after promising him to pay rs 200 but he managed to watch only DD channels. From next day he also stopped to attend our phone calls[[protected]]. What a fraud company is Sun Direct it don't have any connection between customer care to dealer or distributor or between any technician. Just a vagabond type service good for nothing. One of the fraudest service in INDIA.
I am subscribed to Samsung HD Installation Package 2910+3590 with 12 Months Free Subscription + Samsung HD Tamil Subscription Package Monthly Renewal. I was enjoying the service (both tamil & malayalam), but suddenly from 5th October 2010 onwards i was not getting Asianet and Asianet Plus in my package.

When contacted the customer care I was informed that they are no longer part of the plan.
I have subscribed to this plan after consulting the customer care.

I have been informed that I am not able to add these two channels to my package until next year as add on package. This is ridiculous from a service point of view. One cannot discontinue the service and cannot give any alternate option for availing the service even paying some additional amount. while subscribing for this service I was told that there will be a dedicated Tamil HD channel. But was cheated.

      When I requested Sun DTH for adding Star Cricket, I had specifically informed them that I require the channel only for one month. I never kept any track of the expiry date and the connection continued. To-day I was surprised when they informed me that I did not remind them 48 hours before the due date and therefore I have to wait for one more month and remind them again - 48 hours before the next month due date. As I cannot keep any track of the due dates, I asked them to disconnect but they won't credit my account proportionately for the unexpired period. They informed me that it is not their policy.

      It is very difficult to get through their customer service numbers. The login part of the window does not open. I request the readers to help me resolve the issue.

          we are using the sun direct dth from past 5 months only.

          We are very much scare to call recharging team ( customer care) as they are taking atleast minimum 15 minuts to attend my call then they take up all stupid Questians in the name of Verifications,
          by the time it will be easily 30 mints to do my recharge,

          Now finally i am unable to watch any of the programe from past one week, I gave my complaints to the local representative, she simply gave some dealers contact number every day i am trying to make call but that number is always swiched off,

          I Request the sun TV for helping me to bring my connection back without any futher delay and

            Respected sir,

            It is with great helplessness that i am forwarding my complaint to consumer court .
            I am a registered customer of sun direct dth service [ Rajaram.b.swarnakar ] residing at Amari bazar , Harraiya, Basti [u.p] 272135 ,my smart card no - [protected].
            Despite of alraedy paid for monthly recharge subscription ,on 9/9/10 , i can't able to view any of the channels through sundirect dth satellite service. I have made several complaints to the related customer care service of the same, but of no use.
            Now i am totally helpless & frustrated due to regular failed assurances of sun direct.
            Please take nrcessary actions in this regard,so, to avoid any inconvenience to other
            consumers.

                I have purchased Sun Direct DTH on 03.06.09. They said the services would be activated from 04.06.09. As usual it didn't happen. Late night on 04th, connection got activated. But only Sun shine pack activated where as I have paid for Tamil pack, Mercury (Star movies, HBO & Sony pix) & Star sports, ESPN, Star cricket pack. I logged online for checking for the details & shocked that the owner of the smart card was not me. I called Customer care (one of the worst ever I have seen in my lifetime) & got the reply that you have to deal with distributor / dealer. Very very pathetic. I had called dealer & fired him. He said that he will issue a new smart card as there was some data entry issues. Next date till I called them at 10am, nobody was bothered to call me for new card issue. I got a reply from dealer that he's not having manpower to issue & will issue the next day. I replied, you pay me back whatever I have paid. He said OK, we will have to less installation charges. I told I will not pay even single penny, Please take back all your equpiments. Then he conviced to send a person & I got the card replaced. After which I got all the channels for what I have paid. Since I don't want to waste the same during my recharge, I thought I will subscribe online & visited online. I was not able to login at all & it replied Invalid Login. I called Customer care who replied the same like a baby, contact dealer. NEVER EVEN THING OF GOING FOR SUN DIRECT DTH & AM PLANNING TO RETURN. Can somebody suggest me some good DTH.

                I would suggest to go for Tatasky, which i have installed recently. I have no hiccups so far and only time the customer was too busy was when i making enquiry, thereafter my request for adding new packs are done through automated IVRS and also through online.

                I really enjoy the service for what i have paid.
                I have taken sun direct dth connection and paid Rs.1750 in FARIDABAD/ HARYANA STATE. While giving connection I was told 5 months subcription free and need not to be paid. where as after one month (1.07.09 ONWARDS) it is not working. PERSON CONNECTED/INSTALLED have not given contact number. Unable to access it. what to do? and whom to be contacted.

                Early reply is apreciated.

                Sir, I am using Sun Direct DTH, before iam having card balance Rs.23/- and I paid Rs.355/- on Dated: 31.08.2009; Receipt no.:17, Sohit Enterprises, Governorpet, Vijayawada for 3 months subscription + Zee Telugu. Smart Card no. [protected], on the name of Lakshmi Kumari.
                We are getting all the channels except Zee Telugu for what i paid.

                I called hundred times to the Sundirect Office Con.no:[protected], there is no response, no one is lifting the phone. I faced worst service in my life.

                Kindly do the needful, same thing happening repeatedly.

                  I subscribed to Sun direct in the month of Apr'09. For seeing paid channels, we need to buy "Currency". As per the sundirect website, they advertised that the currency will be available from Aircel dealer however in reality it is not.

                  For chosing new paid channels, they provide an option to do the same by login to "www.sundirect.in" through customer login after buying the currency. I bought the currency...

                  Hello All,

                  I am having Sun DTH for the past 2 yrs. They started their business well but of late it seems they found new ways of making money. I reacharged thru coupons which i purchased from retailer, we called up the Customer care[protected], they also have a toll free but always it would be busy forever[protected] not sure whether the number still exist). We reacharged for Rs200 on 25th May and requested for activation of Star Cricket channel, the rep adviced us we would get the channel in 10 mins but now it more than 10 days we are yet see the channel activated. It seems the employee who processed recharge updated our money to some other account (not sure whether its true), we came to know about this mistake of Sun DTH employee after 2 days when we called up the customer care, they apoligised and adviced the correction would be made in 2 days, but it never happened again we called up 2 days they again requested for 2 days to set the account correct (it seems the 2 days never turn up). Again i called and spoke on of their team leaders he said all things would be taken care in a day but nothing happened and finally we ended up spending nearlly RS100 for Phone for recharging RS200. Worst or no words to explain the customer services. It seems they do not mind about existing customers and looking for new customers but they need to understand a famous line in Marketing - Dissatisfied Customer does not mean losing one customers but many consumers. Now i started advicing my friends and family members not to go for Sun DTH.

                  this is a worst customer care network i didn't saw in my life this kind of network problem. whenever i was tried to recharge my account every time i was facing the problem the line is busy plz try to some other time. and i was tried to recherge through online itself here is also same problem like server is not loading dear friends plz try some other DTH services plz don't go sun direct.

                  Your concern, i would say is probably experienced by many of the sun direct customers (poor customers), who were caught in their net now trying to get out of it. Now that they have increased the recharge amount to Rs 100 plus tax, many would lose whatever has been carried as balance in their account after they had recharged Rs 100 a few months ago, ie if you had recharged for 100 for the last two months, before july, you would have 30 as balance and now it is gone if you had recharged for July 09 Rs 100. I had lost the said amount this month. I am fed up, no reponse, no call is going where, even to nodal officers, in their website his phone number is no currently in service, i am not going to continue with his connectionn unless, i get my 30 back or at least a good reponse from them. But that is never going to happen, in anyway.

                  So, please beware of this type of day robbery and do not recharge again, better go in for the old cable operators at least they are geniune.

                  i'm gng 2 quit dis DTH service nd tryin 2 change my friens also..

                  may b i'll take TATA sky if problem persits.

                    I am using SUN DIRECT dht. To watch 20-20 i wish to add-on start sports alone. In their site they given the add of 32.00 INR for one month subscription. But in the shops they are selling only 100Rs cards and not 32 Rs. If i tried to get more informations none of the number is not rechable. There is an option for "Recharge using Direct Debit / Credit". But that link is not working. I dont know how to reach these people. Sun Direct customer care is not rechable and it is really increasing my BP.

                      I have subscribed to Sun direct DTH service in January. Whenever I try to speak to customer service helpline, there is no response and nobody comes on telephone line.

                      For the past one month this is the same story.

                      Their service is the worst.

                      So what is the solution this problem.

                      • During October 2010 my balance came below 100; The Service Provider cut it off promptly by around 10Th of the month.
                      • This was not brought to my notice at all
                      • Through net banking I have topped up by ` 253
                      • I also opted for add on channel Zee Studio which is for monthly cycle @ `9.03 only
                      • The amount for such option was also debited by the company from my balance.
                      • The balance left was `183 (How?)
                      • All these happened on 4th November , 2010
                      • Even after that I do not get my channels and many of the FTA channels also not visible

                        I have installed sun direct by 2008 October. At the time of installation, they said that we will be getting all the channels. For the first one month there was no problem.
                        Then afterwards, we were not getting any channels. When we called the Kottayam (Kerala) Franchisee, they instructed us to scan it. Then we needed to perform scan action (which takes approx. 10 minutes) whenever we opened the television.
                        Now, for the past 1 week, we are not getting any channels except 2 or 3. When we call the kottayam franchisee, they ask to give the number. They say that they have given us a box in which they have given the number. But no box or receipt were given to us.

                        What should I do ?

                        i've Purchased Sun direct Equipment with Shine Pachage in that iam not getting Star Plus Channel. so many time i escalate this to vendor and the same to Customer care also. but no body are giving proper responce to my Query. even the vendor is not picking my calls . this type of service is really not good for customers. to connect with customer care we have stay in line for hours. then only we'll get to ur Executives with nill Result.

I have raised so many complaints for resolving it, but they never responded to me. I never had such a bad I would say worst bitter experience with any one else in my life.I feel that I am just spoiled my time and Money I Invested on it.........................

                        As customer,with my experience , I would say SUN DIRECT is least bothered about their customer.. They dont have any process to track their customer complaints and to ensure the resolution provided to the customer. The customer represenative people allways do false promises that they are going to resolve within 24 hours.So in my experience I found them without any moral values holding towards the Customers rights as being one of the premier DTH Service provider.

                        Please Note: This is my personal openion based on my real experience. So I would suggest if you go for SUN DTH service, "Look before You Leap".

I have contacted the customer care several times. But they have solved my problem. As directed in their web site I tried to contact the nodal officer of AP on[protected] but he never answers the phone. I have given mails 5 times on the given mail address [protected]@sundirect.in. He has not responded to the mails also. Please do the needful to resolve my problem and intimate the higher authorities of SUN DIRECT about the inactiveness of the customer service and the nodal officer.

                          I purchased Sun Direct DTH, The day 1 onwards i started getting issue. For quite some time it became normal. Now for past 1 week i am not getting channels what they are offering. only getting 12 channels(thier offer is 170 channels, even most of the channels are not in the list also). Customer care is back bone for any service oriented industry, for Sundirect NONE of their customer care number is working([protected], [protected], [protected] etc.). With gr8 effert i was able to send a mail. Please please please don't get in to Sun Direct, i[censored] want ur entertiament to be enjoyed.

Our complaint matter is I had purchased add on channel ( Colour ) but sun direct using my payment on setmax channel i only purchase that setmax channel on ipl matches, i further complaint please credit my payment in my that above connection no. and continue add on colour channel

                            Dear Friends recently i have taken Sun Direct DTH connect and when i purchage SetUP Box it is very very easy if you have money with you after purchasing it will start real story

                            step 1:we cannot except when installation people come home so we have to sit at home even they never tell at what time or date .

                            step 2;when you purchasing Setup box at dealer it should not be ur's name at that time it is already someone name so he don't tell you just he sell that .

                            step 3 : But anyhow installation will complete so if any problem comes when you call to call center they will ask you Scrach Card No and Setup box no so those will match but ur name will not match

                            step 4 : But the toll free no always Busy [protected] so keep on trying i connot tell when it will connect that's depend on your Lcuk and fate .

                            i think all DTH companies same problem so better take a local dish connection bec whenever get problem we can call to him directly

                            Yes, I got the connection on 24 Dec 2008. I cancelle the Tata Sky connection and purchase the Sun Direct. after the installation it will take 2 days for getting pictures. after 2 weeks, there is no response from the set up box. I have called the dealer, customer care number, helpline for 3 days to change the set up box. They changed the box after 3 days. Now, i am trying to recharge my account from 23.05.2009 onwards, and i couldnt get any number to recharge my account. all lines are busy. I dont know what to do? hw can i recharge my account and reactivate my account?

                            I connected with Sun Direct since 10 Jan'09...but I really say that I haven't seen such a worst customer care service & DTH provider.Firstly we never gets connected to [protected].Sometime it says that 'No.not exist & sometime it shows busy'.Another thing, if luckily you gets connected to the CC their executives always tell the different passwords for your autoscan feature of Sun Direct.
                            sir yesterday i recharge 25 rupees pack by online but till now the channel didn't working
                            I have subscribed Z-Telugu channel on[protected], till now it has not activated, the customer care service is poor and pathetic, I have tried many times and there was no response, finally I got response from Harshad on 19th March ‘2010, he has assured me that the services will be provided within 2 hours, I am sorry to tell you that entire world has completed 2 days but I don’t know when the 2 hours will be completed for SUN direct.

                            I think SUN DIRECT is number one DTH Service Company where there is no service at all. Also they don’t bother about customer. Even their dealer and distributor has given a excellent training by SUN DIRECT to not to worry about customer problem and complaints.

                            In my area more than 30 people have changed their connection due to bad service from SUN DIRECT, to the other brand service providers.

                            Any one tell us that any other names in Worst service list?
                            We had purchased a Sun Direct connectin in Hyd. Things were fine there. Then i moved to Delhi on a job change. Since then the service has been erratic. They changed some satellite and since then most of the channels are not connected For eg - Malayalam channels - Asianet, Asianet plus, India vision, Amrita etc. The whole purpose of taking the DTH was to enjoy these channels from the south and i thought a DTH service provider based in South India would do better justice to a Southerner's taste. I could not have been more wrong.

                            THe customer care guys are least helpful. The guys sitting at the Satellite change service say "Aap ka kaam jaldi se jaldi ho jayega". They wont give you a deadline or a date by which things would be fixed. My "jaldi se Jaldi" is now running into almost one month.

                            Now I have gone back to my local cable TV provider. The Clarity is not H D but what is the use of H D when service itself is not available???

                            I connected with Sun Direct since 30 Dec'09 and from Hyderabad.. But I really want to tell you that I haven't seen such a pathetic or you may call such a useless customer care service and DTH provider. First and fore moth we never gets the toll free number [protected].Sometime it says that 'Not exist & sometime it will give you busy'. If you contacts on[protected]luckily you gets connected) the Customer Care executives (Kranti, Pradeep, Pravallika, Madhav, Renuka) are very well trained that any activation problem they will solve within 48 hours (as per SUN Direct TAT).. which never comes to an end / solution...also they will hold you on line on average of 8 minutes and every time (how many times you call..) they will ask your address to send their technician. If you says that you already provided to the earlier spoken executive, they will give a reply to you coolly that "it's not updated in our system"...After updating the address "now your address got entered in our system' our technician will come to your place (as I stated earlier, there is no time frame at all)...Finally the certified technician will not at all come to your place at all. In case if you asks about your compliant number status and wants to talk to the floor Team Leaders / Asst. Manager / Manager, the well trained executives will reply you that " The compliant was forwarded to the concerned department and all TL's (Prakash), AM's and M's (Raghu Ram) were gone for lunch (around 2.15 PM on 24.2.2011) you need to call the call center again and again and again to talk to them. Thanks to the Sun Direct Team for training and educating the people on "How The Bad Customer Care Unit Works…"

                            We have a sun direct DTH HD connection since last 10 months, Due to satelite problem from company initially we are not able to watch all channel for more than three month, but company genuine problem we granted. But when we face hardware problem in set up box we contact regional office and after several attend they change set box (old one).All set up box have a unique ID number they deliver set up box but not inform software person to link my account to set up box, in spite of I received set up box I am not able to see channel.
                            I complain customer care on 16 (Ref:1-[protected]) they told me your complain resolve within 12 hours, but no result, on 17 th(Ref:1-[protected]) I connect costumer care they told me I forward your complain to concern department Is solve within 24 hours. After finish 24 hrs I contact on 18th they promise me next 24 hours complain will be solve. To-day I contact customer care they told me we already forward complain you wait.
                            Above problem I connect Mr. Raman (Hardware engineer)Mr.Bhavesh techitian, Mr Devang Software engineer in Ahmadabad
                            We paid Rs.7000.00 for DTH connection and 30/-per day we loosing and lot of expense of phone call, visit office several time

                            SUN DTH IS THE WORST DTH SERVICE I HAVE EVER SEEN. THEY DON'T BOTHER ABOUT CUSTOMERS AT ALL. IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO CONTACT THE CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVES. I HAVE RECHARGED MY SUN DTH WITH RS 220, BUT ISTILL IT WAS NOT ACTIVATED EVEN AFTER 30 MINUTES. WHEN I WANTED TO CONTACT THE CUSTOMER CARE, I GOT A MESSAGE THAT I ENTERED AN INVALID SMART CARD NUMBER. AFTER LOT OF STRUGGLE, I CONTACED THE CC EXECUTIVE BY ENETERING AN OPTION THAT I AM A NEW CUSTOMER, THEN ONLY I COULD GET THEM, AND I COMPLAINED ABOUT ALL THESE THINGS AND EXPRESSED MY UNHAPPINESS. I TOLD HIM THAT IF SERVICES ARE THIS POOR, I AM GOING TO CHANGE MY CONNECTION TO ANOTHER DTH, THEN THE CC EXECUTIVE TOLD THAT IT IS YOUR WISH. THE CC EXECUTIVES ARE VERY ARROGANT AND THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO TALK WITH CUSTOMERS AND SOLVE THEIR PROBLEMS. SUN DTH IS THE WORST DTH. PLEASE DON'T GO FOR IT.

                              I have the sun direct DTH connection since October 30, 2008. The set box is damaged three times during these periods. Now also the set box is not properly working and I complaint to the Dealer "Kumar Cable, Hauz Khaz", New Delhi. Mob No. [protected], [protected], but there is no hopeful response. So I call to the customer care number[protected]but not get any concerned person. So I cann't make the complaint in the customer care. So pls make necessary arrangements to replace/repaire the set box as early as possible.

                              I using sun direct dth connection since 28/02/2008. I have service my set up box for 4 times and they changed for 1 time during this period. Now the set up box is in service center in KALKAI AUDIO VISION in tambaram chennai 45 they are main dialer for sun direct. My set up box serial number <H[protected]> and they given old set up box serial number is<H[protected]> .I purchased on 18th nov 2008 first problem created they solved the problem 24th dec 2008 nearly one month i cant use sun direct i loss 75rs in that period. After 18/09/2009 problem and they tole nearly 1 week. Now again its problem 18/10/2009 again problem created. They said that they will give on 21st oct, again i call them they say 22nd oct, again i call they says they 23rd oct, again i called they says that 24th oct they will, now evening i call they says that they will give on 26th evening only. There is no any proper responce from dealer.                                   at the time of taking sundirect i actually having misconception that ur customer service is good as u are the new player enter in the indian market, but i am wrong as the worst/pathetic customer care you have .u people are not reviewing ur customer care people.u just shut down ur bhubaneswar customer care no[protected] as i have tried 300 times but no body will pickup the phone always engaged, & my mob bill will 600 /-.who will pay this money and also on comparision from tatasky their people reach the home for any service.

                                  I have recharged my sundirect sd for Rs155 on 26.5.14 using HDFC online banking. my transaction id is 19700345. that amount was not used to recharge my dth account nor was it refunded into the bank account.

                                  During the past three days i have spoken with about 7 of your customer care ([protected]) associates, there were very unprofessional, lethargic, unaware of simple logic that HDFC bank has an option in its net banking to recharge DTH services.Among the 7 two of your associates Namely SHIVA and AJAY could not provide proper customer service that they went to the extent of disconnecting the call during the conversation.

                                  The customer care office is from trichy is what the information we got from one of your associates.

                                  If you people are not able to resolve customer problem Kindly shut it down.
                                  Very bad, pathetic, damn poor service. I am working in public sector I'll not suggest any one to buy this product.
