I had got bill of a shock when i was told i got 3000 rs of eb bill which i never used i have bill history of previously paid bill which was around 750 in average i used to pay when i went to pay the bill in office they gave explainations one yes u have consumed my ques is how is it possible all of sudden is it a joke? Speaking honestly meter is good i dont have washing machine i do have fridge but i checked it it was all or normal and in office i had given complaint they came very same day and they checked he said meter is fine but one thing is that who ever had come for reading he has not done the reading properly in the month of aug which i paid very less bill of 164rs and after that all of sudden in in november i was told ur bills is 3000rs is that my mistake? And after that to my surprise i was again told to pay the bill of 2100 in the jan month of 2020 who ever comes for reading has to work properly i had just paid the money which i never used i need clarity on this for what ever the problem i had faced earlier my consumer number is [protected] it is in my owner name ganesan

True . TNEB is one of the most ad-hoc whimsical state electricity board . They do not even give meter readings every month. They charge as per their whims and fancies . And they charge relatively better off for all the subsidies they give the poor. So poor do not complaint, the very well off do not complain and those who complain TNEB just does not care. The worst electricity board.

Consumer Name in my TNEB account has a mistake. Actual Name is : "K MEKALAI". But it got updated as "K MEGALAI".

    post wire hanging in hazardous situation.

    We are highlighting the issue from central excise and customs colony, vagai kulam Madurai -625017. There is no response form authority on our complaint. The active wire cable of post hang in hazardous situation with damaged holder that it would cause serious injury or life loss to people and livestock if it get chop down with rough weather. Please take rectification action without delay from Authority....

    I never got our EB connection disconnected once for any reason till now for past 25years.
    But while I try to login TNEB portal, error shows - "Service Connection not live".

    For past 4months our EB meter readings was incorrect/faulty and it was informed to concern local EB dept. but till now nothing happened/neither they pay visit once to our home to have look on it.

    I have attached proof copy of meter misreadings for your kind consideration.

    I kindly request you to carry out a test on the meter at my home and solve this faulty meter issue asap...
    Also I request you to find out "why our service connection is not live" and advice me what to do further to get registered in TNEB Portal which is mandatory for payment related things.

      We are residents of ragini apartments, raghava nagar. We are facing voltage fluctuation issue from 30th dec. We have tried calling the eb and after many calls, the person came and checked and said that he will come back next day but did not come. Our appliances are not working properly. This is a flat... We are unable to operate motor or lift.. The voltage fluctuation is too high sometimes. Recently we have fixed the transformer in our flat.. Kindly request you to please take necessary action

        I have paid the eb bill payment of rs.800/- on 29.12.19 through internet banking and the reference number is hd[protected]. But the payment was not updated from ur side and today in eb office they called me and asked me to pay the bill with the penalty amount of rs.106 ie total bill 906. We paid the cash amount with penalty and came back. Why my payment was not updated properly. Kindly rectify the problem. If you received the payment make it as an advance payment with that penalty amount of rs.106 too..

              Hi sir,

              I am living in old washermenpet. Each and every time i am facing the reading issue. A person who represent the electricity board to make the electricity reading (Two months once). They didn't marking the actual reading (Which we used). Today (24th dec 2019) he marked wrong reading no. 2860 instead of 3219.in my next payment i have to pay extra amount than the normal. Please consider this and take quick action to resolve it immediately. This is the second time facing this issue.

                I have registered a complaint on[protected].10.30 am in the tneb office at karur regarding the sudden power supply disconnection from the main electric post to my service no.[protected] thanthoni malai section. I contacted daily the li (Thiru muniyappan cell no.[protected]) in charge and he will reply me "i will come in the evening".                   Electricity board of ambattur, cutted power on december 21 evening, around 6 'o clock. And when we inquired about the unusual power cut, which was not even informed to us earlier. They said that it is our fault that we inquired late and power will will come at morning 8 'oclock. This is really irresponsible behavior. And if no action is taken we will surely do our best what we could do. Either they should have informed to us earlier, or atleast something should have been done. But the way they responded towards our complaint is really not acceptable. Please see to it as soon as possible. From ambattur-thiruvengada nagar - south end road.

                    I submit to state that the electricity overhead power lines were laid in all streets of tansi nagar, velachery about 20 years back and they become very old due to wear and tear. They are being affected frequestnly due to heavy reains in the area with danger to general public and residents. At tansi nagar area several thousands of people are residing and several hundreds of students are using the tansi nagar area to attend the classes at saint antony, bethel and dav public schools which are situated here.
                    Further vehicle population is increased at tansi nagar area due to above schools. Considering the above we request concerned tneb officials to convert the old overhead power lines in to underground at our area to avoid accidents during rainy seasons.

                      Yesterday (18.12.2019) they have taken eb reading and our used unit is 510 and charged rs. 1846/-. Not only this they have charged rs. 8, 049/- as cc arrears.
                      In bill if we check they have mentioned it as online discrepancy.

                      Eventhough we pay the amount promptly no idea why they have charged this arrears amount.

                      Uncessarily harrasing common people by charging this much excess amount. As arrears.
                      Trying to contact the eb persons but no response from their end. Our sd available (Rs.) 10718
                      Kindly take necessary action and solve our issues.

                        I am residing at no 2/288e pandiyan street paramakudi ramanathapuram district, opposit subregistrar office near jeevan hospital
                        Now eb post is located in the corner of plot mr. Balakrishnan without disturbing anyone. Due to self convenience and twowheeleer parking for plot owner they planned to shift from original place to,
                        3feet to left side and 3 feet to front (Road)
                        This will affect public transportation and give safety issues. It will disturb 4 wheeler and other emergency vehicles. Constructing road or drainage work will be very difficult.
                        Above all it gives life threatening to our family and safety issues.
                        The pole is newly replaced and no disturbances to any one.
                        As you know very well forwarding non disturbance pole for a silly reason and selfish reason for a single person which will affect public and other neighbor that to in the road is not acceptable.
                        They already dig hole for shifting pole. Already spoken to foreman, ae in this regard.
                        I request you to kindly intervene in this issue and stop further process and ensure safety for all

                          I got a bill amount email on nov 22, 2019 as rs. 0 (Bill date:[protected]. I have waited for a few days and amount not corrected so 10 days before i went to eb office directly and they said that is their mistake (Wrongly entered previous month reading so the system automatically calculated used units as 0, so the bill amount is rs. 0) and i'm ready to pay the bill at spot but they advised me to do online once the bill was uploaded. From that time i have been checking the web portal but the bill not updated so i thought `ok they will adjust it next month` but today i got an email with the correct amount but the bill date is same as (Bill date:[protected] and if i go to pay it online cc arrear rcfees rs. 100 automatically adds up.

                          How can it be my mistake? Why do i need to pay extra without my mistake? Please resolve this.

                              Dear team,

                              We are living in no:425 classic apartment all of sudden the common eb-bill was raised from rs 2500 - rs 12604. Immediately we checked with the local eb office simply it was said they missed the reading for 6-7 months only approximate bill was passed for 6-7 months.
                              This was happened due to human negligence of tneb staff.
                              Impact what we faced:
                              People in the apartment not accepted to pay, after so many meetings & explanation finally we settled that amount.
                              My humble request to kindly ensure these kind of issue should not repeated in future. Unnecessary stress due to simple human error of tneb staff.

                                My E. Meter reading as on 30/09/[protected] .after that no EB person was came and took reading in my home

                                I have noticed only after I received huge amount of 10162 rupees, I was shocked and I had made a complaint on this directly visited to EB office Incharge /AE, at Puzhal but no proper response.

                                They said you have used electricity so you have to pay this amount like that they said but I couldn't pay such a huge amount.. even I said I never used electricity such a unit 1700 like that
                                They can check my history of billing Last 3 years too, still they are not respond my complaint

                                and please do the needful

                                They said they will disconnect my eb connection on 17/12/19

                                    From people of kannappasamy nagar, kavangarai, puzhal chennai 66, the eb poles are much older, and completely damaged and eb lines are crossing on the compound walls of houses, mainly in 15 th street, the complaint has been informed many times, bit no serious action has been taken or poles had been changed/repaired, expecting the eb department to take the action.

                                      This is jayasankara reddy and my address and service details are as follows

                                      Bill generated without taking meter reading for last 3 bills i. E. Meter reading as on 16.11.2019 was 4031, while the bill reading as on 30.08.2019 was 4060 and as on 31.10.2019 was 4440. I had made a complaint on this to ae, at hosur, but no response. Kindly take necessary action on this and do refund the money which i had paid for excess bill.
                                      With reference to the above complaint, ie-shobana (Mobile no. [protected]) had inspected the meter on 22.11.2019 and noticed that the bill generated without taking meter reading. And also ae closed the online complaint without proper response.
                                      Please let me know the action taken on this and refund status of the money which i had paid for excess bill or penalty on the same at the earliest.

                                      Respected sir/Madam
                                      Spark in main wire at the same time power supply disconnect in my home. Please solve this problem.already inform EB office in last morning but till now not solve that problem, kindly solve the issue.
