Sub: Complaint on wrong bill amount for the month of August-September 2019. No action taken on my complaint, I directly met Madipakkam AE on 14-Oct-19 and submitted the attached complaint copy.
Ref: Electricity connection consumer no.[protected]
I am currently residing at 17/1 Bajanai Kovil Street, Madipakkam, ch-91, which is having electricity connection bearing consumer no.[protected], Saturday (12-Oct), I was shocked to receive the current electricity bill (520 Units) for an amount of (Rupees 1912). My monthly electricity bill amounts generally range between Rs 170 to Rs 220. The bill for this month October 19 is almost 10 times, of my regular bills.
I investigated the matter from my side to find out the error and I noticed that the meter reading unit for the current bill is showing more units the current meter reading which is impossible.
Units as per last billing: 200 Units (Reading no.: 10870) - Please note that the previous month reading was measured by my father (69 age) due to no reading taken from the EB department. This has happened to my entire home in my street.
Current meter reading units: 520 (Reading no. : 11390)
Average unit for the month of Oct-2018 to July-2019: 180 to 250 Units.
I am not in position is to pay Rs 1912, this is a very high amount in my monthly planning budget. The due date of the current billing is 30-Oct-19. Kindly consider my request and do the needful.
