Dear Sir/Madam,

Sub: Complaint on wrong bill amount for the month of August-September 2019. No action taken on my complaint, I directly met Madipakkam AE on 14-Oct-19 and submitted the attached complaint copy.

Ref: Electricity connection consumer no.[protected]

I am currently residing at 17/1 Bajanai Kovil Street, Madipakkam, ch-91, which is having electricity connection bearing consumer no.[protected], Saturday (12-Oct), I was shocked to receive the current electricity bill (520 Units) for an amount of (Rupees 1912). My monthly electricity bill amounts generally range between Rs 170 to Rs 220. The bill for this month October 19 is almost 10 times, of my regular bills.

I investigated the matter from my side to find out the error and I noticed that the meter reading unit for the current bill is showing more units the current meter reading which is impossible.

Units as per last billing: 200 Units (Reading no.: 10870) - Please note that the previous month reading was measured by my father (69 age) due to no reading taken from the EB department. This has happened to my entire home in my street.

Current meter reading units: 520 (Reading no. : 11390)

Average unit for the month of Oct-2018 to July-2019: 180 to 250 Units.

I am not in position is to pay Rs 1912, this is a very high amount in my monthly planning budget. The due date of the current billing is 30-Oct-19. Kindly consider my request and do the needful.

    We reside in porur, kolapakkam. There is newly constructed flat near our house. The eb line to their house passes through our house. The eb line which is supposed to go underground lies above the ground level and is not safe. The pvc pipe surrounding the cable was already burned a little. Even after multiple complaints the flat members nor the local eb office does not take any action. The flat members bribe the local office people to avoid working on it. Please take immediate action as this line is not safe especially during the rainy seasons

      Dear sir,
      He is the complaint about the person "name parthasarathy", he is assigned person for bharathidasan nagar second street, ramanathapuram, coimbatore - 641045.

      Including shutdown day, he is interrupting the connection from transformer in all weekdays, and often he does, he is not following the protocol. He switch off according to his own wish.

      This is against government procedures, please take necessary action

        I reside in naduveerapattu, chennai 600069, its usual they do maintenance shut down and we are okay with it! But our street avvayaar street, ramji nagar, naduveerapattu, chennai 69, usually the power cut lasts the entire night! There are infants in the houses and we residential members lose our sleep the entire night! We try calling the office they never pick the call, may be because it is the night time that this usually happens! According to consumer rights protection act and article 14 we have been deprived of our basic rights! If this is not addressed i will make sure i will elevate the problem to the higher authorities or judiciary! I am awaiting a good response from thy office!

        I am residin in Ambattur Kallikuppam and we experienced light rain for about 30 minutes. All of a sudden we had power outage at 11:20pm and it's 2am in tje morning and still no power. There's no rain or lighting or even a thunderstorm. Tried calling the TNEB, however no one wants to answer the call

          I am from perambur, cooks road area, as there is cable fault in around my houses 20 families are suffering in often powerful. So, we requested the event to fix our issue by providing mini pillar, the board said no mini pillar stock, they gave a contact number to buy mini pillarfor around rs.10300 then we build the pillar in a place with prior permission from the house, now the board still delay to give the connection, kindly help us to solve the issue.

            Hello sir,
            I am residing at nanmangalam, vellakal chennai 600129. There is an unplanned power cut in our area since from morning 10 am. When i try to call them first they did not even pick my call and respond me properly. Always i could here a voice that line is busy.

            I would request you please arrange some person who should take up the call from the public if there are any power issues in their area. We are not asking to solve this issue permanently. Atleast we need them to respond back to our query on time.

              Eb meter reading person invoked that one of our meter is not functioning and put the highest average value for the consequent respective months and i have paid that amount last month that is september and raised a complaint to the ae and he directed to another person, who said that within october 16th that meter will be repaired and will be getting correct amount, but so far no action has been taken and the meter has not be repaired so far. Hence i request you to consider this issue as a serious concern and solve my problem. My cell number[protected].

                    Warm greetings. We the resident of vaibhav 3rd road, vaibhav nagar extn, opp to st csi stephen church, (Opp vit 3rd gate) would like to draw your kind attention towards the poor upkeep of lights in our area.
                    During nights there is a presence of theft, chain/phone snatching as taken place is absence of street light and presence of darkness in our area. Also, there is no street light in the state highway 59 road. It is darkness in our area. It has brought about a spurt in the frequency of wrongdoing in the region. Especially women are in danger in leaving their homes at night. Grabbing, thievery and robbery have turned into the order of the day. The criminals in the wake of perpetrating law violations exploit the obscurity and securely flee.

                    I, accordingly, request you to kindly take necessary move to mend the ways so that people of the region have good street lights.

                        I am having xerox shop in hosur. I have got a client for paying gangman recuritment exam fees. I have filed the application and the made a payment but twice the payment is done once got message failed but the money debited in my account. And i also asked the bank they said it is credited into the tangedco account. I have made this transaction on 22/05/2019. From 3 months i am walking to bank and asking this details, and also they said me it is not a fault bank their side.

                        So now what should i do rs.1180 taken twice from my debit card.
                        Whom to contact i dont know. And also their is no option of asking this issue in tneb, please get me the refund for my issue. I have attached the screenshot on my bank statement...

                          We got excess current bill for the two months of Oct i.e, amount of 3800/ Generally we used to get below 1000/- - When we analysis on this website http://tneb.tnebnet.org/newlt/menu3.html - we found that they have calculated the meter reading from June to Sep and they charged the amount.

                          For the month of August they have taken the default value of what we received bill of June.

                          For the month of Oct'2019 they calculated from June to 10th Oct.

                            There are no street lights on the way from perriyanayakenpalayam, coimbatore (Dist) to keeranatham, some street lights are not functioning. They have made the wire temporary and gave the connection. Until now they not given proper connection. There was continuous shortage in our home.                               Why does kottakuppam (Just outside pondicherry) suffer from powercuts everytime it rains or even drizzles? Even the slightest breeze results in atleast an hour of powercut? What kind of maintenance is being done? Nobody picks up the phone at the electricity office to receive complaint. I have a good mind to stop paying my electricity bills from next month if this continues.

                                Sir, i am a resident of padur, chennai tamil nadu. I feel very sorry to inform you that the padur electricity office associates are not aware of the frequent power cut during the nights mostly sustained till morning. Since it is a centre for education many college students like us are not able to achieve proper sleep and attend college. Also the power cuts occur without any reason or prior notice and the maintainance person is not responsive. Kindly look into the matter and get this solved as soon as possible.

                                  My name is vanjithkumar and i'm a tenant in mr. Jagadeesan's house in kundrathur. Last time eb reading was taken wrongly about 500units extra by eb department. It was 1250 but noted as 1750 units. We have raised a complaint on 30th september 19 in tneb site (Complaint id:[protected]) but still no actions taken against that. Actual bill should be ₹350 but the bill generated for ₹3365. Please make them to revise the bill amount.
