On 30th november disconnected my eb connection. Maybe fused in post.

I am requesting to solve this issue in ramnad office by written complaint, but today 01 december 2019 at 3pm still not solve.

Still no power in our home. There is no response from ramnad eb office

Please take necessary action.

    Am from besant nagar chennai-90 here for past 4 to 5 days there is regular power cut problem especially in night we are forced to sleep with out current in night times if we make a complaint they answering without any responsibility like they will work in the morning
    But morning also there is some power cut issue
    They are not giving permanent solution
    So kindly take action or we may be sue on your board and also them.

      I'm from ambalakalai near mancode, a village in vilavancode taluk of kanyakumari district. Our eb office is located at kullithurai near marthandam. There has been frequent power cuts in our area for years. Now its started to happen in the middle of the night!!!. Its never been properly rectified. Even though our area is decently populated, the absence of any highly politically influential people made it more difficult to get help in proper time during emergency situations... Why am i saying this? Because that's how tamilnadu electricity board treats its consumers - ur place should have more rich and politically influential people or the electricity guy should live in ur area to get help in time. Our area has lots of students, working and older people. I can't remember a single examination period (School and college years) without power failure. When complaining, it mostly takes lot of time to fix the issue. Recently when tried to complain about power failure to the office, they openly said that the line man is nowhere to be found and he has kept his phone switched off... Seriously... What kind of response is that??? Why are these people getting paid? Most of the time no one answers the call and when they do they give ridiculous reasons. When confronting our area lineman (Who lives in kullithurai) about issues regarding tree branches growing over the powerlines in a particular place, he said that he will rectify it after the branch falls over the power lines and once during power failure he said that he is tired and will rectify the problem the next day and we had to deal with an entire night without power!!!... Tired? Really? During work time? Some of the areas have lower hanging power lines that makes it dificult for taller vehicles like trucks to be driven through the road. When during scheduled power cuts usually during saturdays (This is how the electricity board in villages rectify problems... By cutting power on a day for 8hrs between 9:00am to 6:00pm), which when they should rectify issues. Even those days the power comes back after 7:00pm. We tried to complain to the eb office, no actions seemed to be taken. The only thing they are good for is to get the bill amount. Even now i am sending this message during a midnight power failure.

      The power had became more unstable and fails continuously in the morning. In the evening they make it seems like the problem has been rectified by not cutting power for sometime and at midnight, the power is gone again. This routine nature leads me to believe that they are doing it themselves

        Hello concern incharge...! This is an student from pozhichalur locality... There is frequent power cut in my area for the past 2weeks... This does make us to suffer during our exam preparation times... And the worst part is that the eb office's response is also very very poor for this issue...! So kindly do take some action to overcome this issue in my area!

          This is to inform you that for this meter connection[protected] there was no consumption from april 2019 to september 2019 since the occupant was away to us. At the time of taking reading on 5.9.19 the meter reading shown as 8310 units and the charges was nil only (Meter reading 8310 units). But on 22.11.2019, again a reading was noted in the card as 8780 units that seems to be alright as the power is consumed now. However, on this day i was called by alwarthirunagar eb office and was informed that the fuse was removed due to non-remittance of eb charges but was switched on the switch without the payment and they considered it as “theft “and i was forced to pay an amount of rs. 6940/- as fine. But their statement is not correct, because the fuse was neither removed nor re fixed after payment and this was confirmed by them also but they could not give a clarity on this issue. Therefore, i request you to investigate the matter and give a fair decision because the statement of “theft” has mentally harmed us. Because this is not real. For your information, i state here that individual carrier is provided for each meter.

            I am residing at jawahar hussain 2nd street, royapettah, chennai - 600014.

            Sparks are coming out of the eb box outside at my gate where children usually play and already many deaths have occurred in the main road because of their lethargy. And irresponsibility.
            I have placed many complaints and they are not paying any heed. The ae when called says he is busy and cannot do anything about it.
            I request the concerned authority to take immediate action before i seek legal help with the proofs. I also request him to take appropriate action against the erring ae.

              Sir,

              This is to bring to your kind notice that the place that i am residing in tholurpatti kudi street, thotiyam (T. K) pin code : 621215, receives only 120 volts electricity from for whole even day or night. As this is peak summer our kids are strugling hard to sleep with fan running 1/2 speed and a/c not working.in spite of numerous complaines launched with ae at our tneb and other staff they all ignore and fail to attend the same for the last 5 yrs. This is an irresponsible answer.in our street only we receiving 120 volts which is due to insufficient transformer to our area.

              I kindly request the concerned to take this to authorities to take immediate action on such staff and try to restore normal voltage of electricity as soon as possible.

              Sir,

              This is to bring to your kind notice that the place that i am residing in tholurpatti kudi street, thotiyam (T.               Sir...in over district Kuzhithurai EB, they are not responding properly to the customers, today the current is not there from 9.45pm itself, i called to eb office ...he is saying that after 10 we won t.v. attend the compliant ...and he as as talking with head weight ...he will come afte 10 am morning only...sir the current is must at night

                In our area we get interrupted power supply only for a few homes while all our neighbours have power, do treat every people same coz we never fail in paying the electricity charges. Whenever the eb person is contacted he gives irresponsible reply like trees short circuiting the path.. How come the trees know the timing and to exactly short-circuit only one line. Such an irresponsible behavior from the people working in thiruppuvanam electricity board. For the last few days the supply goes exactly by 3am in the morning and we get only during 9am. How do we people can go to office, schools and colleges. If the thiruppuvanam electricity board is so much desperate in saving the power then treat everyone same. These guys don't shut the power for remaining people becoz ae is residing there. Experiencing so much ill treatment. Respect the people those who logde complaint and do reply. You people are working only for the public. Do remember!

                    Hi sir,

                    I belong to a village near kanyakumari which comes under leepuram panchayat and village name is mengnanapuram (629702). A person named manikandan son of ramalingam has done land acquisition near our village pond and having a temple with farming land. For which he has taken illegal power connection and build a temple for his own shake.

                    I am writing this repeatedly because they don't even know to differentiate things. He doesn't behave well to the people as well.

                    Kindly inform the concern eb department and take immediate action which would help them understanding do and don'ts of government regulations under tneb.

                      I am a consumer, and i have the rights to question against you.
                      I am anto gladwin from kodaikanal.
                      You've announced power shutdown today (Friday).
                      Usually power shutdown happened on tuesday only, however you've did that.
                      No one is checking the lines and working in the transformers, not even a general check up did to electrical posts.
                      After power came back, so many times it's went off and low voltage problem caused.
                      Who will give you for the repaired electrical devices due ti your power flexible problems?
                      Yesterday in annanagar, electric wire git shorted and fallen in roof of houses.
                      There was kids, old aged peoples, ladies, animals were slept inside the house.
                      But the hell was happening in the midnight.
                      Because no one is checking the cables and transformers regularly during power shutdown times.
                      After the problem only actions taken.
                      If there is a loss of live, do you give us back?
                      Collection of eb bills, asking diwali bonus, unplugging fuses for not paying bills only not your duty.
                      Providing the safest electricity to all peoples is the main duty of you everyone.
                      Do your duty first, we've respect on your dangerous job.
                      But please have some basic responsible with public and do your duty honestly.

                        Hi, i am an educated fellow who is going for daily wages and living in samyapuram, trichy. Recently i am trying to get a eb connection to my house in kalapalayam. I am so frustrated with the services provided by the tneb service office in samayapuram. The employees who are all giving services and connections, explicitly they are all asking for bribe in thousands. I hope that government is paying enough salary but why are they expecting people to give money to their pockets to make them work. If we are not giving the money, they are not responding to our application and make us to keep on walking for the offices. If anyone takes action, it will be good.

                            I am a resident from north konam, nagercoil. I raised a complaint on a fuse cut in a nearby transformer that led to a power cut in an entire street (Varuvel street). We just brought our new born (5 days) baby into our home today and had medical emergencies. But the officials refused to take any actions in restoring the power. They falsely claimed/lied that the issue was with our pole, but the issue was actually with the transformer fuse (Picture attached). When we tried calling 1912, they ignored our call and never responded back. This was rude and shows how lethargic the night shift personnels are. What is the use of 1912 then?

                              My electricity connection is disconnected. Tneb office at tambaram selaiyur branch has asked me to pay 3 times of the last unpaid bill amount in order to reconnect the electricity. As per tneb only 60 rs is disconnection charges. Kindly help me to sort this issue. What is the actual disconnection fees needs to be pain and fine if there any. Where i can complain about this issue. Kindly help....

                              We are residing in k. Chettipalayam, tiruppur -641608. And always daily there is minimum of 2 hour power cut in our area.

                              During night time also there is powercuts.
                              Apart fro these shut down is also there for a day in month.

                              Even today there is already 7 hours of power cut from morning.
                              Please provide remarks on why there is so much of powercuts in this area.

                                I'm residing at 15/2 New byepass road, Mannargudi.
                                My service no. [protected]

                                I'm a tenant staying at the above address since August 2019. Last month our EB meter was repair. So, they have changed the new one. Hence, they couldn't calculate the meter reading.

                                Now they have decided to put random unit of 850 amounting to Rs 4365/- They are saying it is the average of hightest two units in last one year. But I get into this house on August 2019 only.

                                So, how am I responsible for this much higher charge. I'm not using air- conditioner. I am a single person staying in that house.

                                  I have repeatedly complained about the non - functioning of the meter box over the past 18 months. I had even sent letters to the chairman, consumer grievance redressal forum and assistant engineer at besant nagar on 27/9/2018. At the age of 84, i am being made to take repeated trips to the electricity office at besant nagar and nothing is being done except that i am being asked to pay an average cost of rs. 1900 - rs. 2000. I request the concerned authorities to address the issue and rectify it. My consumer number is[protected]

                                    Sir now a days in karuppayurani area which is located in madurai district, the current is often shut downing. Today @ 4:15 current is gone till now current is not came. Checked for anyother connections mixed within this meter box also. And meter box is jumping the voltages over the night. So kindly come and check the meter box and kindly do the needful.
