Eb meter fixed at my residence and when i went to pay the bill on 20th october 2018, i was informed that the display in the meter is not working so i had to pay the average amount of the previous two months. Since it was summer time, i had paid the bill. I was also informed that the eb meter will be changed immediately by the department people.
When i went to pay the december 2018 eb bill, the ae informed me to pay the average amount of the previous two month as the meter is not functioning. I had paid the amount rs. 2737 and asked him when will be get the refund as i have paid excess amount as it is winter now and i have consumed less electricity. He told me that it is their policy and the amount will not be refunded. He also told that till the new meter is fixed, i had to pay the same bill (Average amount of the previous two bills which is rs. 2737).
As i am not using much of electricity during these months, i am been asked to pay excess amount for no mistake of mine. Eb meter was not changed even after 3 months. Last year my december month bill was rs. 740 and october 2017 bill was rs. 980. February 2018 bill was rs. 680.
I need help in getting back the excess amount paid or to be adjusted in my next bill. Also the meter to be fixed immediately

    I like to make a complaint on a employee on tamil nadu electricity board. I was there in my home. He knocked my gate when i was going to open he opened himself and came inside and was taking reading. I really feel this a bad behaviour. Without my permission he opened the gate and came inside. And even he told me to place the meter out side the house. Pls take action

    Iam residing in annanagar west extn, round building, chennai. for past two months we have defective meter. the authorities told they will change the meter. but still it is not changed we are paying the average of 3 months. but due to winter season it is more for us. please consider our complaint and take steps accordingly.

      Our village no have electricity due to transformer spoiled and we complaint to Electricity Board but no body responding and taking care.We and our animals ( cow and goats ) are struggling without water.In the Electricity Board Expecting money from us to rectify.

        This is venkatraman. Ts from no.8, 13th main road, vijayanagar velacherry chennai 600042.

        Today[protected] at 22hrs thier is a power cut. I thought thier is some problem in eb after 30 mins or one hour it will restore. But till power is not restore till early morning 3.45am. I called [protected]and given complaint regarding power cut from night 22hrs. The person who attend the call replied we will check. After 47mins power is not restored. Again vi calles the same number [protected] asked about my complaint the person told that we come at early morning after 6am, in night we won't work.

        Again i called ae number [protected] for my complaint, he also told the same "morning we will come".

        I didn't sleep in the whole night and contacting the eb office for power cut the peoples who are working in night shifts telling that we will see in morning.

        Then why tamil nadu electricity board recruiting peoples for night shift. Why they are not working and taking complaint in night time and giving negilence answer.

        Please check and take rigorous action on this.

          As I requested for Address change request one month before in EB (Porur branch), I have directly went to the branch many times and gave request application to the workers.

          But as of now nothing got updated and my request still not yet processed.

          Since people requesting the help to them, It is not at all fair by doing nothing on the request.

            The actual amount for Oct 2018 is 530 but the bill amount had come to 607 which I had to pay I request you to consider the excess amount of RS.70 as advance amount

              Hi,
              I am trying to add my tneb consumer number to my existing user account.
              I tried with region number to without region number. But always get error like “invalid consumer no”.

              I tried with all means ie i tried to created new registrations it failed.

              I tried to pay through my icici banking account it also showed same error.

              Now i am never able to pay online by adding my consumer number till now. My account is active and able to see bill details summary but only problem not able to add the consumer number to an account.

              Please help my solve the problem.

                Sir,

                No power in my village due to one of the transformer failure. We already informed to our local substation and they informed us "they no have any spare to solve the issue, we everyday go and begging them to resolve but there is no response from them. We waited more than 20 days,

                Our village is basically depends on electricity for farming and drinking water

                  Usually on every saturday power would be off in ngo. A colony, palayamkottai, tirunelveli between 10 am to 5 pm to words maintenance. Power cut for 7 continuous hours is a treacherous punishment to consumers. Now a days life will be miserable without power. Plz advice the concerned. Failing which u may face agitation. Now everything is electrified and power cut of 7 hrs causes lot of inconvenience to consumers and it is unwarranted. This sort of cuts remind us very primitive days and conditions prevailing in certain backward states. Plz correct the draconian practice and save public.

                    Despite several phone calls, and personal visit to the electricity board office, power has not been restored for more than 28 hours now. This has become a regular affair now, whenever there is regular work in the post, the power to our flat goes off. Even after paying money for materials to solve the regular disconnection problem, the problem still continues. Eb lineman not responsive at all, with promises to come, but does not turn up to attend. Request higher authorities to look into the matter at the earliest, as the day to day work is very much affected.

                    Action was taken after a complaint was filed on the TNEB website as well along with my complaint here, and the EB lineman turned up after 45 hours of delay, and restored the power connection.

                    At last after about 45 hours of delay, the lineman turned up today after a complaint was filed on the TNEB site too, and power connection has been restored now.
                    Since 4th December, we have been facing huge power cuts. It's not getting restored for hours. And today (9th) December, it is worst. Don't know why are they doing this. I tried calling a number of A.E [protected]. This keeps unreachable everytime. I suppose this power cut is an unwanted one. They are not at all responsive
                    I would like to bring to your notice about the long frequent power cuts in our area Mettu Street, velachery, Chennai - 600042. The staffs in our respective eb office doesn't pick up calls or reply for our complaints. So I request you to take necessary action as early as possible.

It is strange that while receiprt of the first two has been accounted, the third one has not been accounted as received. As per chronological reference numbers of ICICI, while ----123 and ---- 119 has been accounted, ---- 121 between 119 and 123 has not been received. /accounted as received.
                        I checked with ICICI who were kind enough to deputed two representatives
                        home to investigate, made extensive calls to all inclusive of you, above number and leant that the amount of Rs.3100/- has not been accounted as received.
                        It was further learnt from ICICI that on 29th the amount of 3100/- has been returned to ICICI by EB for reasons not known.
                        It is baffling to note that how just one out of 3 payments made on same date by the same ICICI account, has been returned by beneficiary EB. with no reason mentioned.
                        Kindly treat this as a complaint from an annoyed senior citizen customer. to 1. ICICI account holder of T.Nagar Branch.
                        2. From an EB consumer for the harassment of threatening disconecdtion, when the payment was actually made 17 daysahead of time.

                            Dear sir/madam,
                            I am the house owner of the house in the above said address and in the platform in front of my house, a family has built a hut illegally a few years ago.

                            People living in that hut are using our residential address illegally. Using some eb foreman or some authority, they have got the eb line and are using it for many years. I assume that for that hut, electricity connection is given illegally. Kindly stop giving the illegal connection to the platform hut.

                            At present, we are not in that house for the past 3 years. While we are there, we will get the bill amount of rs.[protected] only for 2 months (Our family and 2 others). Now people living in our house are low middle class and do not consume more power.

                            Kindly note:
                            Bill date :[protected] bill amount is rs.920/-
                            Bill date :[protected] bill amount is rs.00.0/-
                            Bill date :[protected] bill amount is rs.9770/-

                            I do not know how this is possible sir, as we are not running any business complex or factory to get eb bill for rs.9770/-. This bill may be due to the illegal connection given to the platform hut (As they are using light, fan, cable tv, and iron box throughout the day) and might be adding their power consumption also in my house eb bill. Power supplying transformer is very close to this hut, also we saw dual wires going to the hut from the transformer or else due to the faulty meter.

                            I am doubting 100% that this is not our house eb bill and kindly cancel bill raised on us and re generate a new eb bill and we are ready to pay for the corrected new eb bill. We are middle class people. We don’t have the capability to pay such huge amount bills.

                            We believe that, we will get good result for our complaint. If there is no any favourable response from your side, our relatives are working in tamil nadu secretariat as law minister secretary, and social and welfare minister secretary. Our family friend is in cm special cell. So through our relatives in secretariat, we will approach electricity department minister. Please don’t let us to take this issue to the tamil nadu secretariat, which may lead some issues to the electricity board authorities.

                            Kindly do the needful by disconnecting the illegal eb connection to the platform hut and generate a new corrected bill for the power consumed in our house instead of the faulty bill generated already for our house.

                              Sir,
                              No power in my village due to one of the transformer failure. We already informed to our local substation (Nadiumangalam) and they informed us "they have to take the transformer to tiruvannamalai for fix the issue, but after that there is no updates from them. We waited more than 20 days

                              Our village is basically depends on electricity for farming and drinking water

                              Kindly take the action and resolve this issue asap

                                If you click pay it gets stuck there and not moving further
                                Tried for another service no also
                                The same thing happened

                                Respected sir, there has been drastic power cuts in velachery in off timings after midnights causing hell a lot of trouble to expectant mothers, elderly and patients.
                                This is uncontrollable atleast last 6 months that I know of.

                                In chengalpattu EB person asking 4000/- for name transfer on EB Bills.
                                person came to our society as a agent and asked for 4000/- for name transfer, we denied and went to EB office, but found that same person is there for same work.
                                How he can ask such amount for only Name transfer?

                                request you to look into the same and resolve..

                                  For the cons. No.[protected], md was wrongly raised as 98kw instead of 7.35kw during 0-4/18 and corrected as 7.35kw during 19.6.18 bill. Accordingly for the bill dated 23.4.18 fc -13720/- paid instead of rs.1120/- and for the bill dated 19.6.18 rs.13720/- paid instead of 1120/- hence an amount of rs. 25200/- has been paid excess. Vide this office letter n.. Sde/pal/tneb dated 18.9.18 bsnl requesting to adjust the amount in the next bill and the eb authority has given assurance for adjustment. But it has not been adjusted till date insplite of repeated reminders submitted to the ae /ae suare/aao pallavaram so many times through letter and in person by sde pallikaranai, bsnl and till date not adjusted in the current bill.. Kindly do needful

                                    Dear team..

                                    Am unable to login to do payment for my flat.. Am trying to login but it shows the consumer number is invalid.

                                    Last two months am not out of station.. And it's new flat so i have not received en details. Two days back only i know that my fine carrier is taken away by eb becos of non payment.. Am tried for online payment but am unable to do online payment.. Am unable to register as new.. System ask for consumer number when i typed it shows invalid number.

                                    But my consumer number is correct and using that am able to see the bill summary.

                                    For the past month(November) no body came to our area for reading the electricity meter.We have complained to our area J.E and A.E but they did not respond us.Take necessary action against this issue.

Then your official disconect the service but the persion is conecet the line illegal with your local offical offen!!!???                                       Pls see the photos i had attached below which is located at thekkupattu, sokkan vattam than one of the pole is damaged and the electric lines are very near to the ground these are live power supply that can very easily to get accident we have already informed to our lineman(ambalur)for last 3months but still now they never take further action

                                        Hi!

                                        There have been very frequent electricity outrages in velachery. And when you call the eb number[protected] there is a male who answers the phone. He does not even try to listen to what you have to ask. He just yells and says “i said current will come. Keep the phone”. I dont think this is the right attitude towards civilians.
                                        We need to work towards making our govt offices more approachable and efficient rather than stick to the age old attitude and keep the image of govt offices being unapproachable and ineffecient.

                                        Highly disappointed. I wonder how many people that guys speaks to so rudely without consideration of age or sex of the person he speaks to
