Sir, i have installed solar in my house and the meter reading is being taken two months once. The staff taking 30th e reading not trained and confused and taking wrong reading. As i am also an electrical engineer explained details of the meter reading parameters. This month he came and took the reading on 3rd may and came back on 4th may for disconnection. Please train your staff the procedures.

    Eb person use to take reading by 6thof alternative months but this month he came by 8th. On 6th we had below 500 units, now they billed for 510units which i have to pay 1846 rupees. If it's taken on 6th i would have to pay below 1150rupees.
    Nearly 700rs difference becoz of the delay of the staff in eb. 700rupees is the total amount i am paying in other seasons except summer. Having small child we adjust using electricity to control units below 500 units. Many people in my locality suffer like this. So kindly do the needful.

      Sir/madam,

      We are residing in putlur village ganesh vistha nagar, next to thiruvallur.
      Many complaints i have seen in this website with this same problem in same area. But no action taken yet. We are facing this problem 3+ year.

      The problem we are the victims of, is explained below in short.
      1. Extreme low voltage.
      2. Too much voltage fluctuations every day & night, which may damage our costly electrical instruments.
      3.in the nighttime, problem is even worst, there is often no power or too low voltage to operate fan, tv or some-times even cfl bulbs.
      4. Kids and old age people are suffering so much. Even working people not able to sleep properly.

      Kindly take action asap.

        Power cut regularly in night time, more than 3 to 4 hours in ambedkar nagar, suzil francis street. Only it is happening in ambedkar nagar, in few houses. No one taking it is an issue, feeling unhelpful. No proper response from pattabiram tn electricity board. We are helpless. Small childrens are crying in the night due to this power cut and no proper sleep. Please help us to solve this issue... : (

            Dear team, we are staying in ramapuram thirumalai nagar 2 nd street, we are facing voltage low issue we received 170-180 volts only for single phase, we can't able to utilise any fan and air condition, it is leads to failure of equipment,, we are suffered a lot during this summer, so kindly rectify the voltage issue better try to provide transformer, or regulate the voltage at the source end...

              Sir, this is the third complaint i am registering within the past 1 month. I live in nilamangai nagar, adambakkam. Every summer in this area and areas adjacent to this are suffering from extreme low voltage as well as unannounced powercut at nights. On 05/05/18 there was powercut due to maintenance. It was supposed to be from 9am to 4 pm. But power was restored only at 5 pm. Again on 06/05/18 today, the power was cut from 9 pm to 9.30 pm. This unannounced powercut happens just one day after maintenance. Nobody knows what maintenance work is being undertaken. Voltage also is very low. They cite increased use of a/c during summer but the fact is in this low voltage a/c s do not work even with double booster. Nobody cares about increasing number of flats in this area. We have been asking for separate transformer for years but of no avail. Frequent powercut especially at nights that too phonecalls to eb office is always unattended as they keep the receiver off as soon as they cut the power. We want permanent solution to this matter and action against people responsible for answering calls. Will higher authorities take action?

                  It has been found that distribution transformer installed in jeevanandam 5th street, kamraj nagar, back of nazereth matriculation school at kamraj nagar, avadi, chennai-600071

                  The transformer foundation is not properly done also it is slightly fallen back. Within few days it may fall down by braking ht and lt line.

                  Kindly take suitable action to make the foundation to solid construction and save the life of human.

                      In my ottangadu village power cut issue occurred regularly around 3 hours per day. And then peravurani substation employee was not respond properly. They tell very angerlly and not give my ss phone number. They told very rude. I have a evidence for that. Please take immediate action for that. Then solve that power cut issue because lot of children's and senior citizens are affecting then daily works are affecting so much.

                      Today shutdown process occurred in my village.they cut the power in 8.15 am but power on is 8.31 pm only.if i ask one question they do it same on city like pattukkottai or peravurani?.Not possible because these are cities.why they are not understanding village people also need electricity because they also lived people like children's, senior citizens, patients etc... So please take immediate action for that problem

                          We are m/s m. D. Fab unit-ii; we are running a manufacturing industry using welding technology; the line voltage is less than 160v in all 3 phases.

                          We are paying the electricity board as and when charged without failing/ delaying.

                          While working, we find difficulty to perform the job work; on discussion with the officers concerned, the need to install a new transformer near to our place is emphasized.

                          So we are registering this complaint and to take official decision to install a transformer with suitable capacity. Please note that m/s gg enterprises was running at the same place; they were also suffering with the same problem; now, we have occupied the same place; mr. G. Govindharajan is the proprietor of the shed and we are on lease agreement to use use the provisions. Thanking you,

                            I registered an online complaint in tneb portal [protected] on 23 april, received billing as 6k while the meter was replaced as defective by the tneb officials just few days before the reading. My question was, on what basis the amount was fixed when the meter was assumed defective. I raised the above complaint, but was closed without any resolution or comment to it.

                                I'm residing in valasaravakkam, power was shutdown around 10.30pm. Waited for 30 min.. I called and raised complaint, they said it will come in 10 min.. After 30 min i called ae, he is saying do not disturb around 12am... It's peculiar that ae responding customer.. I called him around 10.50pm because i'm suffer without current with two kids... Again in lauched complaint then i got ad # he is also similar to ae... I really do not know what they serving to public.. No proper response to customer service... I want respective answer from senior.. They really don't know meaning of emergency...

                                  Actually we are from sundaraperumalkoil (Po - 614208), kumbakonam (Tk). We have eb office in pateeswaram. We had some issues in the meter box fuses. So we don't have electricity for the past 2 days. I informed line man rajendran who is in charge of spkoil area. More than 5 times i went there but he did not even visit a single time till now. We have been paying more than 200rs every time when he visits. We have old age people and kids... Its very very hectic and not able to do the regular activities. Please do the needful.

                                      On 27/02/2018 i have made online payment on tneb ae exam fee through online. When i paid 1st time i received pending status and failed. So i tried once again for payment then also i received status as pending. Received pending on payment status for both transaction but rs1180 deducted from my account. Now i want revert my fee which extra amount deducted from my account of rs.590. I have attached my payment details. Please do the needful.
