We are facing fast running - issue with TNEB Meter since this bill cycle.

On 01/Jul/21 we checked the meter reading at 4.00pm which was 15045 (kwh) and calculated with the previous reading 13660 and got shocked as it shows the consumed units as 1385 for two months, which is about 7588/- rupees. So we have given written complaint to AE - TNEB Pallavaram West on 02-Jul-21.

In the meanwhile, we called an electrician to check the house wiring and confirmed that the issue is with the TNEB Meter.

And we have not received any proper response for the written complaint until 06-Jul-21. Hence my wife (Nisha Devi R) raised a grievance in "CMCELL" portal as well as shared the detailed email to "[protected]@tn.gov.in".

On 06-Jul-21 evening around 5.30pm, a lineman from TNEB came and inspected the issue and agreed that the meter was running fast during load. However, it can't be replaced unless or until there was a physical damage.

And he called Foreman and explained the issue also mentioned that we have escalated this issue in CMCELL portal.

So the foreman replied, it may be considered by humanity if we would have not escalated to CMCELL. So he asked us to meet AE one more time and request her.

So kindly do let us know, is that wrong raising a online complaint in CMCELL. Kindly get this resolved by changing the New TNEB meter.

      My electric meter for the above connection is running fast. This time it is rs 18594.My usage for the two bed room, 800 sq feet house is: 4 led light12 wats for five hours, one ac 2 hours only -no water pumb.I made a complaint to the concerned section and they did not take it seriously. It was observed the meter in the problem shows more than 20 units daliy-this is very much wrong
      I request you to kindly change the meter as early as possible

            Eb connection no [protected] . No one is using this since last March. The bill comes under the subsidy value only. But June month reading shows 993/- amount. It's seems to be unfair. Pls take necessary actions as early as possible 🙏🏼

                We live in Ambedkhar Street Kathirvedu, Puzhal, Chennai-66. We face problems in EB service line leading from VOC Street, Kathirvedu to Ambedhkar Street, Kathirvedu as service line has been given through Trees and its branchs. It may create problem during wind and rainy seasons.

                We here request you to change the existing service line from VOC street to Ambdhkar street.

                  I have recieved a bill of Rs:7, 620/- where as when I calculated the charges in the official website, it's shown as Rs:4, 422/-.

                  The last bill that I received was for Rs: 860/-. And the bill was paid before the last date of payment as well.

                  I have made sure that all the previous bills were paid well before the last date of payment.

                  Please do revise the bill and update the same.

                    I have received huge bill amount for this month Rs4284 and I usually get 1000+ for a bill and I have paid 170rs for last bill and didn't informed any further update but they put two month bill and doubled it and it is not my mistake. I am paying the bill in time without any delay.

                    Please revise the bill as usual and do the needful.

                          I am Kishore from Lakshmi Amman koil Street puzhal. When ever it slightly rains or wind blows a littt electricity is being cut over over area which will get restore only after 4-5 hours. Such long power cuts at night is disturbing our sleep which have an negative impact on next day work.

                          In our area only for 4 streets power supply is given from Avadi sub station for all from madhavaram sub station that's why when there is light in all other streets we have to wait for it for 4-5 hours.

                          Please resolve this issue

                                Usually we wil get bill amount below 3500..but for the last month we got the bill which is more than twice of the usual amount (rs.8776)..in this covid situation financially we are facing many difficulties.. We cannot pay such a huge amount as electricity bill... Also we are very sure that we did not consume that much electricity. Kindly do the needful. We cannot afford to pay this much of amount.

                                    I am a domestic consumer in ECR chennai, and during the past 6 months from January 2021, I am at home and have been promptly paying the Tangedco bills without fail. I have paid Jan-Feb, March-April, May-June bi-monthly bills for an amount of 11, 000 Rs without fail. However the July-August bill is twice more than the usual amount and is 24, 352 Rs. which is double than the usual amount. When I complained to Tangedco they asked me to contact AE Palavakkam who is not responding to my calls. Tangedco has impolite, arrogant and abusibe clerks in Palavakkam EB office and they verbally abuse the customers.
