Dear Sir,

I bought a Docomo SimCard[protected] on 19th Sep at the following dealer, Activated on 29th Sep. & Sim blocked on 5th Oct. for not submitting the supporting documents.

Since this is failure of above Dealer, how can I be punished and Sim blocked.

    Hi ,

    I have taken tata docomo postpaid sim 3 months back. It was working fine with some network problem till today afternoon. Suddenly it stopped working in the evening(when i make calls it any mobile it says check the number). When i called the customercare center, they told me that tata docomo is not compatible with my handset(NOKIA 1108) after the latest update from their side. They asked me to change my handset. I was shocked and asked them, what if they do another update and stop supporting the new handset? Their customer care executives are very dumb and say they can't help me. Worst thing is they supported this handset for 3 months and suddenly stopped supporting it from today. There was no intimation about it to me either through mail or message. I am unable to stop myself laughing looking at their suggestion to change handset. I think this is the only operator which can ask their customers to change their handset for the sake o[censored]sing the SIM. Can someone take this issue and help thousands of consumers like me who got affected due to this.

      I took a new connection from a shop (Auro Meera) near Chennai One Software Park in Thoraipakkam on Sep 20th and gave all required documents. After 10 days, the outgoing calls were banned and when we called up customer care they said they don't have the required documents. From that time onwards we have been following up with customer care and the local agent but the only thing happened is that on October 13th the connection has been suspended.

      Two weeks back we went to the local shop and submitted all the documents again. But again nothing
      is happening. When we went to the local shop today he behaved indifferently and was not even interested in listening to us! Then we asked for his agent and he said the agent has changed recenly. The new agent told us that the old guy just ran away with all the documents. And with all this going on Tata Docomo hasn't done anything about this!

      The new agent collected our documents again (3rd time) and said the connection will be activated in 24 hours. Now this is the 5th day and the connection is still not active. I don't think I should take this crap anymore and will be getting a new connection with some other carrier.

      The most interesting thing is that Tata Docomo doesn't care a bit about their customers. Their customer service is just sitting there to take you calls and tell you that everything will be ok in 24 hours!

        Dear Sir,

        I am Mr. Kalyan Chakravarthy having good faith on TATA organisation took TATA DOCOMO sim in the month of Aug 2009 bearing number 91 [protected].

        I am having two complaints regarding this.
        1. Week signals or no signals
        2. Cannot make calls or receive calls to and from others.

        There were three towers around my colony, but i am not getting signals in my house (individual house and getting other operators signals FULL).

        I have telephoned three times to the customer care
        1. First time, they told this is because of huge connections, problem will be rectified within 15 days - but not solved.
        2. Second time, they told that instrument is not working properly better change. i told with the same instrument i am doing calls with other operators.
        3. Third time, they told that towers capacity to be increased and it will take minimum 1 month time - but still not rectified.

        I don't understand, if the towers are not capable enough then why these operators are selling more sims. First they have to resolve the problems and start giving fresh sims. What is TRAI doing? why can't it take action. so many people are loosing money. though they are small if consolidated it will be in crores of rupees.

        I am very much dissappointed with the services / support from tata docomo. Kindly request you to do the needful at the earliest.

          I am a student from Hyderabad and am doing my ME. For my project, I have come to Aurangabad,Maharastra. For getting a tata docomo sim,I and my friends faced a lot of problem even though we had passport and voter id.....they wanted a maharastra proof..how are we suposed to have them when we are outstation students...after a week od headache,they accepted our room owners documents....but when my friends applied for vodafone and idea,they didnt hav any problem.....

So i consulting the tata docomo office then they trying to activate the sim then the reply is "Sim registration is Failed". Then after put a mail to the docomo main office then i got a reply "your problem is solved with in 24 hours from the docomo auto mail". Still the three sims are not activated. So please kindly to interfere with them activation those sims sir.

            Sir,
            I had purchased a tata docomo sim 1month ago.It worked properly for 3-4 days..then it started hanging my mobile phone..i have two handsets sony ericsson k790i and nokia 5200 the docomo sim is hanging both the phones...
            many of my friends have the same complains..their phone is also hanging due to docomo sim...and the phone needs to be restarted many times...

                I was really excited last evening when i brought a new Docomo prepaid sim card. But to my surprise since today morning when I came to work there is no network and there is no way I can reach people. Please take my sim back and give me a refund. It sucks big time, I wonder why am i carrying a cell phone when I can not make or receive calls on it. Such a waste. I had great expectations from Tata but this is a SHAME !! It is not even close to just meeting the basic expectations of a mobile SERVICE !!

                  Dear sir,
                  I am a resident of Kolhapur. I had purchased Tata Docomo sim card on 19th October,2009 and submitted all proofs required on that very day and was assured that my card would be activated within 1 hr but nothing of this sort had happened. I have already lodged a complaint with the customer care service of DOCOMO but it seems that no action was taken.
                  It has been 3 days and i have not been able to use the service.Customer care told that no activation charges have been sent from the retailer but its just the opposite of what the retailer had said. I had purchased it for Rs 350 but now i feel its of no avail. Please Take some serious step and look into this matter urgently.

My SIM Card No. is [protected] which is not yet activated. The Document are in the name of Sri Krishna Chandra Sabat. So, Please take care for immidiate activation of my SIM as stated above. So, That I will talk to my related persons who are residing out of the state.
                  I bought a TATA DOCOMO Sim Card No [protected] on 4th of May and it is not yet activated even if I had submitted proper address proof. The retailer tells me to contact customer care and the customer care tells me to contact the retailer. This is even more pathetic considering the fact that I bought the sim from a TATA Docomo store in Old Madras Road and not from any other retailer.
                  I bought a DOCOMO sim card ([protected]) from a Docomo store in Old Madras Road, Opposite to Gopalan Cinemas on 4th April. I have submitted all the required documents and photograph as well. But, It has been a week and the no has not been activated. The retailer tells me to contact customer care and the customer care tells me to contact retailer. The retailer is a authorized Docomo store and this kind of service is pathetic. It is extremely low level of customer service that a sim card cannot be activated in a week. The TV advertisements seem to be a mere eyewash.
                  I bought a new sim card two days back and the Docomo people were supposed to activate the sim yesterday but it has not been activated yet..

                    I'm getting fed up with tata docomo services.
                    I bought my sim 2 months back in bangalore. I'm not getting incoming calls and sometimes even sms. When i give STD calls to reliance there is almost always some cross connection.
                    Further, even the call to customer care gets disconnected due to poor network.

                    If nothing is done I will soon change to some other service provider.

                    1> Pathetic Network
                    2> Always it will say not reachable/switched off.
                    3> They should not launch the Tata docomo without having good towers.

                      I made an application for Tata Docomo postpaid connection on Wednesday, October 14th morning. The dealer told me that there would be a verification at my residence address the next day and immediately after that, my connection will be activated. I’m still waiting for the verification.

                      Secondly, the MRP printed on the sim card pack is Rs.35/-, but the dealer charged my Rs. 650/- (500 for security deposit and 150 for sim card). He is not ready to give me the bill also. All my visits to him have been of no use, that is why, I visited 3 Tata Indicom galleries and have made numerous calls to the customer care, but no one has an answer to my issue. All they say is visit your dealer to solve your problem.

                      What kind of customer service is this? The dealer's name and address is given below.

                        Today 19.10.2009 afternoon i was trying to call on one std number which was not getting connected through tata docomo number was getting connected through my vodaphone number. so i called up the customer care of tata docomo in the afternoon 12.35 the customer care associate said hello this is - sunil and how can i help you then on wards instead o[censored]nderstanding the problem he started proceeding the call towards the service request i said him dont u want to know the problem then he didnt even specified me the problem but used very rash language which was pretty annoying for a customer who is calling to the customer care for a resolution of a problem. That after i urged him to handover the phone to his senior or the floor supervisor or manager... which he refused to do and disconnected the call. then i again dialed the customer care number after a long ivr sustem my call got connected then a lady on a phone saying her name Shashi also asked the same thing and i informed her about the incident and the problem at the same time then 1st she asked me the problem which i told her properly ... then i asked for a service request number which she didn't gave me and the phone got disconnected again.
                        then again i gave a call to the customer at around12.55 then one more person picked up a call called aamir who also showed as if he cannot hear me and disconnected the call.,.
                        As looking at the above incident i found that the customer care in the prepaid number call centers are having no quality staff with no professional knowledge and the way they talk to the customers is like they are the owner of tata docomo company. I request to the consumer forum to take necessary actions agains such things which is really unexpected from the big company like tata.

                          sir,
                          I am a govt. officer in central excise & customs and i took a new prepaid mobile connection of tata docomo and submitted the proof of identity and address. for proof of address i submitted the letter from a gazetted officer in the tata docomo outlet on 17/09/2009. now on 15/10/2009 they closed the connection without giving the intimation of closure of connection.
                          on talking to customer care they do not give a clear reply.
                          as they are not paying heed in this account i submit the complaint in this regard

                            My name is Gopu. I took a prepaid TATA DOCOMO number([protected])(SIM No.[protected]). Obviously we need to provide proof to take a number. But my number got disconnected after some three weeks. i contacted customer care and on their request, I submited the proof once again. But no actions done.So I contacted Nodal as well as appellate officer. But the fun is same person Mr.Pavan took the call and acted in a very irresponsive way. After a long altercation, He released my number for a day and asked to submit the proof once again. I did it.But with in a week my SIM got deregistered. When I contacted the appellate officer, The same person attended the call and adviced me in a very casual way to forget the number and go for a new number paying for it. They thought it to be a matter of Rs.100. But for me, Its my business, my clients I lost. Even I contacted the T.Nagar head office regarding this. But of no use. I think, writing here would do some good to other consumers. Also Some decent actions expected if any Senior officials of DOCOMO sees this complaint.

I contacted customer care and on their request, I have checked with retailer, as per reatiler Tata Docomo has taken the all the submitted proof as retailer has acknowledge for the same.
                            I have called Tata Docomo customer care several times for 1 week, but no actions done even after calling Tata Docomo.I contacted Nodal as well as appellate officer took the call so casually and tell only 'I am sorry'...seems like they dont have job to do other then only telling sorry.They act very irresponsive way. After a long altercation, He again asked to check with retailer. These people make customer mad...cheep rate Tata Docomo product comes with worst quality, Now I understand it!
                            They thought it to be a matter of Rs.100. But for me, Its my business, my clients I lost.                                   I am a resident of Naigaon(west),Vasai, a suburb of Mumbai. I recently purchased a Tata Docomo sim card and was recieving a good network coverage. However last week due to some technical difficulties caused due to heavy rain the tower for docomo got damaged, causing zero signal strength in the entire area. There have been no technicians attending the problem. We have gone for a week without network coverage in our homes as well as the surrounding localities. I registered a complaint, the reference number for which is-NWK09249419. However, no action has been taken from the officials at Docomo. I request you to do the needful.

                                      I using tata docomo no [protected] I lost my sim card so I called to customer care to buy duplicate sim .they asked which area belongs u I said ayanavaram,ch-23,tamil nadu and they said go to suresh travels and mobile connect ,ayanavaram,ch-23 ct no-[protected] and give your proof and passport size photograph. I went to suresh travels and mobile connect and submit my proof on sep 22 09 and I paid rs100 for duplicate sim and they said you will receive your sim in three working days I went after three days and asked about my sim card .They said that your sim not came so you come tommorow . I called up that shop afer two to three days they again replied your sim not came and they gave that shop distributor i.e your docomo distributor or executive karthick contact no-[protected]. I called that person and asked about my sim he said that I met up with an bike accident so lost your proof and photograph he told that you again give your photograph and proof. I will give your sim card with in two days .After two days I contacted person karthick he told I was went to native place simply he telling some resons . still now I didn’t get my duplicate sim card .
