I have this miserable experience with Tata Photon since I have taken 2 months ago. I may have called their call centre atleast 15 times in two months.. I have a corporate connection from Tata Photon, 10 GB for 1000 rupees, that is great you may think. First of all I hardly use 3-4 GB per month., but the Tata Photon sales guy convinced me to take 10 GB saying I could change the plan any time. Ok fine. there starts the story. It seems they have a concept called Credit Limit. God only knows what it means. Because as for some limit is a threshold set at about 80%. But in all my life of these two months I never used more then 2 - 3 GB per month where as my plan is for 10 GB. First I get some really stupid email saying I have crossed my threshold. Only a genious at stupidity could have designed their system of this. Then I quickly log in and check my usage meter thinking my photon may be being misused some how.But my account profile very innocently shows only what I have used. Now I wonder where that usage threshold alert system gets its feed from if not from my account profile. That again cannot be comprehend by mere humans like us. Then I call call centre for a few times, they tell me that I should increase my credit limit. Arey, to hell with the credit, who bothers, why do I care about the credit limit. All I know is I am paying for 10 GB and I should be able to use 10 GB per month. everything else is your headache. But now the call centre guy says you pay 350 rupees and I will open your line, this is after 2 days of getting the Photon post paid ... Can you IMAGINE...There was a 3rd level escalation contact also shared to corporate customers. Who never really cared to reply back to my mail. In the meanwhile I kept receiving their stupid mails from their stupid alert system. Finally they open my connection, I thought I might as well ignore those mails. ThenI get the bill due for 22nd of March which more out of fear for their stupidity in disconnecting connections than anything else connection I paid on 5th of March. Then what you may be wondering, they disconnct the connection by 6th :D
I know you are all smiling so am I. so just now I have put down with my encounter with Photon call centre one more time and decided to humour everybody else. I just logged into my personal account. It shows a total usage of 3 MB for whole of lat month i.e. till 2nd March. for whichI had paid for 10 GB by 5th. Now for this month billing cycle I used less than 1 MB but they decided it was time to disconnect the connection...
HO HO HO.. I have never seem a dumb, dumber dumbest what ever you want to call thing than this..
I would just like to throw it in the face of some one or all those who are responsible for this most miserable mobile internet service.

I am using tata photon from the last 4 6 months and i am in 1500/- which is the maximum package which includes (unlimited browsing and unlimited downloading) . The speed was so slow that it took 8 days to download a movie but it was not successful. First 3 months i have received a bill of 1500/- and after 4 months even though it is (unlimited browsing and unlimited downloading) I have received a bill of 2700 /- when tried to contact with tata photon customer care .. (really sucks ) hung up for 5 times . sent a mail request number : The Reference No. is 163370 on Mon 6/21/2010 4:39 PM to [protected]@tatatel.co.in and today is 1-july 2010 no response . I AM NOT WITH THE INTERNET CONNECTION FROM THE LAST 1 MONTH . Tried to contact with Nodal Officer Mr. Dheeraj Chatlani on [protected] . And his phone does not works …
