Hello Team,
This is in regard to my booking of a TATA vehicle – Tata Harrier XZA+ Camo edition on 5th April 2021 with the booking amount of Rs. 30, 000 with Go Auto Pvt. Ltd. in Okhla, New Delhi (Mr. Lokesh being the contact person). The car loan formalities (with Union Bank of India) took some time with papers being signed on 14th April 2021. In between on 11th April, Mr. Lokesh asked me to pay up an advance of Rs. 2, 00, 000 in order to hold the vehicle and block it.
We were planning to take the delivery of the vehicle during Navratra’s however with the Delhi Lockdown put in place starting 19th April 2021 the plan was put on hold. However, the loan amount disbursal of Rs. 20, 00, 000 on request of the dealership was done on 21st April during the lockdown itself. I was again chased and chased for payment of the remaining amount on 21-April. Apparently the billing was done on the mentioned date of 21st April 2021 of which I do not have any copy.
While we still wait to see the vehicle and take the delivery, I am sitting on a loan of approx. Rs. 24, 00, 000 for about a month now, with the interest being applicable from the disbursal date itself. The first EMI which starts after a month is already being messaged for 21st May 2021. I do understand that the lockdown situation is not under anyone’s control, I fail to understand the urgency of the total amount payment during the lockdown itself. Doesn’t an advance booking entails the car being booked to be paid in full when delivered?
I have been an ardent Hyundai customer for 20+ years now having used most of their variants- Santro, i10, Verna, Elantra & Creta. This is my first TATA vehicle and I must say the experience has been not pleasant. The way that you chase up for payment not being bothered about the Customer’s side refers to very bad customer experience.
I am very unhappy with the way things have been so far- request your urgent intervention with some way to compensate me for the monetory and emotional distress.
