I was using the tata photon broadband service from Feb 2011.

On, 10/17/12 I have raised a request to disconnect the service, service number[protected], but for some reasons we have asked not to cancel for that particular month. Then again we requested to cancel on 18/11/12 to disconnect the service, Service no[protected], but it did not happened and I received a call and they said the connection will be suspended for 6 months and no bill will be generated for this month. But again the suspension did not happen and the service no[protected] got closed on 12/02/12.

Again I have requested to close the account on 28th Jan 2013, Service no[protected], but again nothing happened.

I received a threatening SMS on 8th Feb 2013, which I have in my mobile, that today 3 PM is the deadline for paying the full amount (i.e. including january's bill) or otherwise I'll be getting a legal notice and my mane will be registered in CIBIL.

When I called customer service on 9th Feb 2013, they said that its the mistake happened from them that they did not process the request of suspension and this will be resolved by 13th Feb 2013, ref No[protected] and this was closed on 11th Feb 2013. And then another service request[protected] and date extended to 21th Feb 2013.

Then I received another SMS on 16th Feb 2013 (from no:[protected]), that the case has been filed, KAR/13012, with the fine of Rs. 20,000. and again I called customer service on same day and explained all this to Mr.Chitresh Kumar and again he gave me another service no:[protected] and said that this will be resolved by 18h of Feb 2013.

Again I have received another SMS on 18th Feb 2013 that the processing will be delayed for another two days. On 22nd Feb 2013 (from no:[protected]), I have received another SMS saying again that the case, KAR/13012, has been registered and the due of 20000 has to be paid.

Even though they have made mistake in processing the request, they are asking me to pay for their faults and mismanagement. There is no co-ordination between the request service and the other section which takes care of the recovery issues.

What a pathetic company!!! They have sent me same msg from same mobile number and with same fine amount. They should be ashamed of asking and threatening consumers without giving proper service. And to add something surprising, your case no. and my case no. are same. lol..., sending same msg to everyone. looted around 17-18 thousands from me and not at all given satisfactory or i must say far from satisfactory service and then threatening me...shame on you tata photon team. i have been using tata indicom cdma, after that still using tata docomo and both given fully satisfactory services. but tata photon is a disaster.

    I have taken tata photon plus connection of kerala circle on 16th feb,2013.
    But the connection has not been activated till date and inspite of repeated calls to the customer care i have not received any positive reply.
    Instead they say "sir please do wait for 48 hrs ,your connection will get activated soon"..I am fed up with Tata docomo service and as a consumer,I
    lodge a complaint against TTSL in this regard..........

      Account No[protected]towards the services of our CDMA mobile phones / Walky / FWP/ FWT No [protected] (Walky No[protected].

      I had taken a connection with Tata Docoma in Oct 2012. This was a combined offer of Tata Photon along with Walky handset. For installation, the person was very prompt and reported within half an hour of my call. Filled up application form, took advance payment, and activated the phone in the next few hours time. I was very impressed..
      The photon worked on my desktop working with windows. However when I tried it on my Apple macbook, there was no software to help connect with internet using the photon. I tried customer care, but no one understood what the problem was and kept on putting me on hold to check with others.
      In the meanwhile the walky stopped working within a month, and does not switch on. When the representative came to collect payment, we pointed out this problem, to which the response was - it will be rectified in an hour. Well 3 months have since passed and nothing has come out of it.

      They only reponse I have got is repeated phone calls to pay monthly rentals for non existant service. Each time we point out the problem and the answer is - we will get back to you. Yesterday I get an email, indicating legal action for bills not paid for last 2 months. Well this is the kind of service wherein its impossible to reach customer care people over phone.. no reply to emails sent..

      Just a word of caution to others opting for Tata Docomo services, kindly avoid .. look for other options.. extremely poor and pathetic service.

      Tata Walky — Extreamly poor services

      I have a tata walky prepaid connection from 2005 at kolkata, till date the services have not been improved, inspite of a no of complains there has been no responses...in kolkata time and again the signal goes out and line says your no. is out of service range...it's surprising how TATA brand can have such pathetic services and instead of customer care you have customer haressment...please improve

        I am using tata photon whiz [protected] with a 299rs. per month plan. In last three days, my internet speed had decreased suddenly. Even google takes 1 minute to load properly. I approached for customer care but that was useless. [protected]

          Dear Sir,

          I am Using Tata Docomo photon+ Since last 4 month.Upto 3 month my Bill was correct and Actual its 501 INR.but last month from 13th Jan 2012 to 13 th Feb my bill is 1267 INR...and its more than double and i was not using that much and this photon connection form only home perpose not for business purpose.they are chitted me.i m here to send you mail to complain Again Tata docomo Photons,


          I talk with Tata Docomo Customer care they are give Useless excuses and useless thing they are not given proper ans.if i am using this much data upload and download so i ask to give me full details which site i was using for that....

          they are chitted Customer every time...

          Even I visited Tata docome care at Sahibag but they are not given any Answer they told me if bill come you have to paid.....

          So what should i will do ..

          If you required i will send you Bill...

            I'm trying to cancel my tataphoton plus connection for the past 6 months. I have not touched the device for six months. I placed my cancellation request in August last year and they said our representative will call you. After 3 days I got a call from customer care executive. I explained to him that I need to surrender the connection. He was talking about all kind of promotions and waivers recommended for me if I use the device. I denied all those and strongly said that I need to close my connection. He promised me that after 15 days my connection will be closed. But within those 15 days I got the bill for previous month. Then I again called them and explained. This time they said "You make the payment then we will close the connection". I paid then again I raised a cancellation request. Again they said it will be closed in 15 days. I said ok. After a month, I got the bill again. This time I lost the patience and called them and said clearly that I will not pay because I am not using the device. They accepted the fault is on their side but asked me to pay the bill. I quoted all the reference numbers. No use. Then I started getting LEGAL NOTICE. By this time my bill was 2048. This time I spoke politely and asked for resolution. They said we are waivering five hundred you Pay 1500 and we will close the connection. I agreed and paid (What a fool I am!). This is the worst part. Again I got the bill for 500/-. Now what I should do ? The customer care representatives act as if they don't understand my problem and they cut the call in between. I have around 10 reference numbers for all the calls I made. This time I am very sure that I will not pay this amount. If they send a legal notice I am ready to face it legally. My connection number is[protected].

            Tata Photon+ — after closing the account getting the bills

            Through mail I have requested to tata customer care team close my tata photon+ account ([protected].) on 16/07/2011 for that mail tata CC team confirmed account was closed on the same day and give the ref No-M4786164 for further records. but still I am getting bills and calls form billing department ,so that here with I requesting please do needful and advice me

              why has no action been taken on Tata Photon Customer cares when they are still providing wrong customer care numbers and making the customer run here and there for a single query. I have made almost 15 calls to get an answer to my query to Tata Photon Plus corporate plans customer care, but still I couldnot contact them. I have seen a number of similar complaints made by many more complainees in the Forum. I didnot find any use of people making complaints to Indian Consumer Compaint Forum.

              Request to please look into this issue and see that the customers donot suffer, which is the main ideology of the Forum.......

                I have been duped by the Connect India and TATA Photon Plus people.
                I purchased a tata photon plus card on 30 Jan 2013. The device was delivered immediately and the documents were collected.
                However it has not been activated.
                Worse thing is no one received the calls. I keep calling them many times a day.
                tata customer care says that they have not received any application.
                but via email they say that it will be activated in 3 days...
                obviously they are all cheaters and have their organization dealing with only selling the product with no service.

I HAD PAID RS 288.00 INTERNET CONNECTION MONTHLY BILL OF OCTOBER 2012 ON 05.11.2012 BY STATE BANK OF INDIA INTERNET AND THEN ALSO TATA PEOPLE DISCONNECTED MY INTERNET CONNECTIBON FOR 3 TO 4 DAYS AND TOLD TO PAY THE BILL IN CASH IMMEDIATELY THUS I PAID CASH ON 12.12.2012 AGAIN FOR THE SAME BILL AND AFTER MANY EMAILS PHONECALLS ETC NO REFUND OF RS 288.00 CAME AND I HAD TO SPEND ANOTHER RS 200.00 FOR ALL THESE I HAD SEND SCANNED COPY TO TATA BY EMAIL BUT THEN ALSO THEY HAVE NOT REFUNDED MY MONEY AND ON THE CONTRARY THEY ARE SENDING MONTHLY BILL WITHOUT ANY ADJUSTMENT OF MY NOVEMBER 2012 BILL.                     I bought a Wireless Internet Connection from TATA Indicom company in the month of Jan 2013. They committed to provide a speed of internet 3.1 mbps upto the uses of 6 GB data but from the first day they never provide the committed speed of internet. I made complaints for more than half a dozen but the problem is as it was. There engineer had been visited to my residence and checked my net speed which was below 500 kbps at that time. He told me that your speed is OK. I asked that your company committed me to provide in mega bytes upto the uses of 6GB data but and I have not used 6GB data till now. He told me speed will be about 500 kbps. I asked him to provide at least in mega bytes but he again told me that your speed is OK. After the visit of engineer Tataphoto sent me a confirmation massage that your complain has now been resolved. It is a clear case of cheating. It should be stopped as early as possible as they are still giving their advertisement about providing a internet speed 3.1 mbps. As per their statement after taking connection they will never provide such a speed which they are publishing in advertisements. My tataphoto connection number is [protected].

                      I held a Corporate connection 5GB plan for 550Rs monthly. My billing cycle was from 5th of the month - 4th of next month

                      For 15 days between 5th July and 20th July 2012, your system showed my usage as 10GB which was way above my normal usage of around 3-4GB. I stopped using your services immediately and I was sent a bill amounting to 3500Rs. I have written to you multiple times and called your customer service as well but my bill was not corrected.

                      Till date (Feb 2013) that bill is not corrected and every-time additional charges are added to the bill which now stands at Rs 3709. They keep emailing you after few days with the same old bill and call on your number asking you to pay the bill. When told about the bill issue they say that I will get my corrected bill in 2 days and nothing happens after that.

                      I also informed you that that I will pay my bill as soon as corrected bill is sent to me. I must have written over 20 emails, constantly followed with you so sent me the correct bill but it was not done.

                      Next time you reply to this email, please make sure you mark your Nodal officer in CC.

                      I surprises me to see that a brand like Tata is providing one of the worst customer services. I just hope that any of Tata officers see this email and take some action against its erring employees. Infact, I was threatened of court notice and legal consequences. I am not surprised why the brand image once Tata held, is tarnished.

                      Can I expect some decency from TATA? Do is going to compensate for the mental torture?

                      Tata Photon Plus — Harassing the customer

                      I have not paid my tata photon bills due to some coverage problem and the company was not able to resolve it.I told the Nodal officer that if my problem is not resolved I am not going to pay any of my bills or the company should purchase the device from me and I will pay all the bills. But nothing happen.Now today i.e. 9th Feb 2011somebody called me saying that you have to appear in jodhpur court for a case filled against you.
                      and regarding this i haven't received any notice from the company nor from the court.

                        मैं आशीष कुमार बरनवाल tata recharge retailer हु तो मैंने अपने भाई (आशुतोष कुमार बरनवाल) को उनके नाम से एक Tata photon plus ([protected]) Model:- Huawei EC156, Amount -1500/- (Modem 1200/-+ recharge 300/-) तारीख 30/8/12 को ख़रीदा था । लेकिन Tata photon plus ख़राब निकल गया था तो मैंने Tata sanchar Services, simna complex,subhash Chowk , Dhanbad के प्रकाश जी (उर्फ रिक्की ) को दिए थे तो मुझको 25/9/12 को मिला था लेकिन बहुत परेशानी के बाद मिला था लेकिन ये पुराना Model का Huawei 1261 दिया गया था मैं लेना नहीं चाह रहा था लेकिन हमको प्रकाश जी ने कहा यही मिलेगा फिर घर में आकर चेक किया photon plus ([protected]) काम किया
                        फिर इसमें मैंने 11/11/12 को 350/- का recharge करवाया जो 20/11/12 को फिर से ख़राब हो गया मैंने टाटा कस्टमर केयर ([protected]) को कॉल किया photon का service center गुरुद्र्वारा bank more Dhanbad बताया लेकिन इसका कैप खो गया था तो मैंने इस तरह वहा जाकर (22/11/12) को जमा कर दिया तो इसका receipt नहीं दिया गया और कहा गया की कोशिश करुगा इसको रिप्लेसमेंट हो सके
                        लेकिन सर,
                        इन लोग कुछ नहीं किया और कॉल करने पर एक ही बात बोलता था की कैप के बिना काम नहीं होगा 12 दिन रखा रहा कोई काम नहीं हुआ तो इसका शिकायत टाटा कस्टमर केयर ([protected]) को किये तो इसमें जाने कहा “Tata sanchar Services, simna complex,subhash Chowk , Dhanbad” वहा गए तो मेरा photon plus ([protected]) जमा ले लिए और हमको receipt भी दिया गया लेकिन बहुत बार कॉल करने के बाद 25/12/12 को “Tata sanchar Services, simna complex,subhash Chowk , Dhanbad” से कॉल कहा गया की आपका photon physical खराबी है आपका replacement नहीं होगा तो फिर से टाटा कस्टमर केयर ([protected]) को कॉल लगाया तो बताया गया की आपको 750/- और वोटर कार्ड का ज़ेरॉक्स जमा करके मिल सकता है। तो मै फिर से गया और बताया की एसा नियम है लेकिन उन लोगो नहीं माना और ख़राब photon plus वापस कर दिया
                        तो इसकी शिकायत Tata का online शिकायत किये 10/01/13 को उनका कॉल आया और मेरा email ID पर एक mail भी किया गया वो मेल इस तरह है

                        मैंने उनसे कहा की "मेरे घर से उनका सर्विस सेण्टर की दुरी 20 km है इसका आने जाने का खर्च और समय का हानि कोन उठाएगा और इसका क्या गारंटी है की वो दूसरा सर्विस सेण्टर में नहीं भेजेगा"

                        It's really unfortunate to see how TATA is treating its customers.

                        They make them run here and there, make them spend their money and in the end all that you get is their pathetic service.

                          Hi,

                          On 21st Jan, 2013 I submitted all the relevant documents (Leave and license Agreement for residential proof, PAN Card for identity proof and Photograph along with the Application Form) for migration of my TATA Photon Connection from postpaid to prepaid at the TATA Docomo Outlet @ Vashi (Navi Mumbai) . My Tata Photon Number is [protected]. I also received a message confirming the migration request[protected] "of postpaid to prepaid request has been successfully completed". But when i tried to recharge it online on 28 Jan, 2013, I am getting an error "The number you have entered is an invalid number. Please enter the number again. " I have called the customer care support executive and in turn i am getting more request numbers and consecutively received messages of the request getting RESOLVED.

                          I do not understand if this is an automated message which am receiving, because when i tried to recharge it online its giving me the same error mentioned above.

                          I am in an urgent need of the photon connection, kindly look into the matter and get it resolved at the earliest.

                          HI,

                          After several attempts, to my dismay I received a message from Tata Docomo, which is "you service request[protected] for your tata photon no. [protected] is raised. The resolutions will be done by 10 Mar 2013". However after this message there where other messages also which I received which again said that the migration is successfully completed.

                          But when i tried to online recharge it, its giving me the same error mentioned in my previous mail.

                          Pls look into he matter asap as am having too much of trouble calling the customer care as i need to explain each and ever executive the same story every time.

                          For your reference am sending you the 3 screenshot of the messages received by tata docomo for the complaints i registered.

                            Tata Photon Plus Data Card — Discontinued giving service after complaint without providing solution

                            Hi,

                            My name is Mansi.I have taken corporate connection of Tataphoton Plus(working in HCL).
                            My Tataphoton number is [protected].
                            I am costantly getting problems in signal,not able to open a single page.
                            Each time i raise the request in customer care.They close the docket number
                            without giving solution.
                            After 4 month they discontinued the service stating that if you are not getting
                            signal so don't use the device.
                            So what about Rs 2400/- whom i invested in getting the device with assurity of
                            getting the best service.
                            They are also asking for payment for not providing the service.
                            Iam also pasting the docket number which i raised[protected] ,[protected],[protected]....
                            What else is needed.
                            I will file a case againt this company in consumer forum for cheating people.

                            The Tata Photon plus service is not available in all circles. If they discontinued the service stating that if you are not getting signal, you don't need to use the device, just call them and ask them about the money you have mentioned here. If their response is not good, you can definitely file a case against them in the consumer court.

                            i am using two Tata photon data cards ([protected] & [protected]), i am facing the speed issue for both the data cards in Munnekolala Area, Marathahalli, Bangalore. since last 8 months. i raised it several compliants to Tata photo support team (allmost 75 tickets raised)...but none of the are taking care of this issue.

                            No resolution as of now...

                            Please escalate it to Tata photon higher level on this case.

                                I was using phton plus since 2 years.In July2012 My Internet connection

                                was not working and I called Tata photon plus many times to resolve my

                                connection Issue but there was no response and I got a bill and again on

                                August month I dint use the connection at all, I got bill even for that

                                month. Then they disconnected my internet connection stating I dint pay

                                my bill. After that I started getting calls continuously from Tata Photon

                                to pay the bill wherein I did not use the connection at all. And now I

                                have got an email that they have filed a case against me and have to

                                summon myself on court, which is very threatening.
                                They have really given me lot of mental pressure and have made me to

                                worry.
                                I would request you to take this email complaint as high priority

                                  I had a Tata Photon Plus internet connection. It was stolen and I called the helpline, asking them to close the account. IT was not closed and I called again, a nd the person confirmed that the account was closed and nothing further had to be done. After that, I stopped receiving bills from them.

                                  After a while, I received a bill, and now I have got a legal notice asking me to appear in a place to settle things out of court.

                                  Please help against this mental harassment. The notice asks me to come to Chennai. I don't live in Chennai and cannot do anything there.

                                    i am a loyal customer of tata photon plus internet service.. but from past few months the service has became worst.... i complained several times but i didn't get any positive response from them... whatever they promised about the speed they never fulfilled... after i recharged every months it give its best for few days, after that it doesn't even work at all.... so i request you to take action against their fake promises and help the customers who are suffering for their ignorance.... i wanted to attach a snap of the speed but due to slow speed i couldn't even open the speedo meter....

                                    Here comes Tata Photon Plus!!!! The Internet connection that promises to provide speed at 3.1 mbps!!! Which is all fake. The surfing speed and even The Downloading Speed counts in kbps rather. It doesnt even reach mbps..I am displeased for the advertisement they make, that the only network to provider you this and that and bla bla bla!!! even the service is bad! I got my account activated almost after 10 days. too bad!!! So deliver what you Promise!!! Else there would me more dissatisfied users like me henceforth.

                                    i want to rejester complaiment, agenst ur commitment, company promisse to provide high speed but ur speed is 1to5kb/sec.this is committment speed.2nd complain at the time of lunching product price u kept rs2499 with attractive offer, but after one month ur company reduced photon plus price to 1799, with same offer.it means that come first go to lose.3rd complain laptop bag which was comitted by tl mrs mukesh sharma, u will get bag we didnt recived bag.4th ur rate is very high in comprission with other company.so plz take major steps to resolve the problem.5th refund of 200rs back, ididnt recived
                                    hey man, is it the speed u get in torrent downloads coz even i get the same speed : max : 10kbps while downloading torrent files.
                                    They are shaping the traffic for torrent softwares. It is a common practise to put a cap on p2p softwares in the Western countries.But atleast they admit that they do it, but here in india, these guys clandestinely put a cap on unlimited plans.
                                    lets get together and kick their !
