My name is Ankit, I am using tata photon+ connection no [protected]. I am facing this issue on my device for a long time now that my device is not catching the photon+ network at all instead it catches whiz network only. And the speed that whiz network offers is pathetic. I recharge monthly with 750rs and I get this kind of service in which I have to wait for hours for a page to load. When I called up at the customer care, no one is ready to register a complaint even.
I visited the nearest tata store with the issue and spoke to the area manager and he got my esn transferred to a new dongle and it started working fine, but then again this month I recharged with 700 unlimited plan and again it started happening. And now I am stuck with this issue. I used other photon dongle on my laptop and it was still catching the photon + network at the same time when my device was not.
I really wish someone could come forward and fix my issue as I really need a speedy network Or I am definitely switching to some other network next month or maybe earlier.

last month maine ek tata photon plus purchase ki tata ro office se,tata ke excutive ne kaha ki iske speed bahut ache hai.maine is apne desktop par lagaya par tata photon nahi chale,main two days tak isko lagata raha nahi chale,fer maine iske custmer care par complaint ke,tata ka excutive mere ghar usne dekha usko check kar ke,wo kehta network re-boot karvana pardega after two or three days main chal jayege,uske bad main bhe ye nahi chale,maine inke custmer care main phone kiya unhone bataya ki apke complaint band kar de gaye hai app ka no.not rechable tha,jab ki mujhe koi callnahi aye,maine fer complaint likhva de,fer inka excutive aya,usne fer vahi network issu bataya or kehta thik ho jayega,fer do din baad tata custmer care se call aye,ki apka network issu resolve nahi huya,ap iska koi billing plan change karva ke iske ko rakh lo,maine kaha app ke sale excutive ko isko bechne se pehle pata nahi tha kahan network ata hai kahan nahi,maine kaha app mujhe keh rahe ho,app he apne tata photon vapis lai jayo,par vo kehte hum asa nahi kar sakte......... ajj bhe vahi problem hai.....plz sort out my issu........

    Dear kelamakkam friends,
    Don't purchase tata photon+ modem for internet usage. they are making us fool. they advertised that the speed is upto 3.1 mbps. but
    the speed is very low i.e 15 to 150 kbps. even you can get more speed in mobile. never u can get the speed in the range of mbps.
    after bundle usage your network will be changed to tata photon whiz which will give very very low speed like 0.5 to 5 kbps.

    so please don't waste your money. u can o for MTS, BSNL, RELIANCE.

    tata internet broadband — no site open and no speed

    but there is no speed and no single site open up to 1/2 hour

    Tata Photon + — no speed and blockage of official sites

    Sir i have tata photon+ from last 1 year and in am using as a liability as i have purchase it after feedback from the market. But from that day i think this was the worst decision i have made in my life. The speed on my shop is not even 10 percent of that of Reliance or Bsnl,this is when my shop is in the centre of city. I had make complaint 6 months ago.The service man had put an antinna on the roof. It effected for few days and make the speed normal. But from last few months the same complaint. Now the new problem i am facing is my internet banking has also been hold. The site of bank of baroda is not opening. This problem i had made at band of baroda as if i can be a server problem of bank.Now i had came to know that the problem is with Photon+ and not any other else. The same site i had opened on my laptop with reliance broadband connection.That make makes me so feel disgusting as what problem i had been struggling for. i would suggest everyone not take Photon+ connection.

    Have you tried reaching the technical support team? Perhaps it's due to a technical fault or settings that you may not be getting the speed. Try calling the customer service number. If the problem still doesn't get solved, then it's a real issue with internet speed.

      Dear Sir,

      I have been using Tata Photon no. [protected] with account number[protected] since more than one year. 3 months back I was having outstanding of around 1900/-. Mr. Mayur from Tata Indicom Shivajinagar Pune office called me & informed that if I pay Rs. 1500/- payment then remaining Rs. 400/- will be waived off. Accordingly I have paid Rs. 1500/-. At the same time It was informed to him to hold my connection with Rs. 75/- per month. Now suddenly I am getting call from Delhi Court & Lawyer Mr. Tarun Kumar to be present in the Delhi Court. Without any information I am getting such calls which is very disturbing & horrible. In fact my Blood Pressure was also increased this morning after back to back call from Delhi. This is not at all expected from reputed company like Tata Docomo. I am definitely ready to pay the Bill but only to the extent holding charges of Rs. 75/- per month coming to Rs. 225/-. You are requested to help me to stop such mental harassment.

      This is very much disturbing & hope you will resolve the matter.

        Hi,

        I am Deepanshu Agarwal. I am using tata indicom number [protected] and tata photon number [protected], related to the same account number[protected].
        I had asked my Photon Number to be disconnected / put on hold for the time being. But, on 23rd June, 2012, it got activated without my knowledge. It was by coincidence, that I called up Customer Care on 24th June, 2012 to ask for some plans. On the contrary, I was told that my number has been already activated. I requested for de-activation at that time and wanted that no bill should get generated for this activation that I was not even aware of. I was assured by the person from Customer Care that my number will be put on hold and no bill will be generated for it. But, in the next billing cycle, I was charged Rs. 426 for this activation which I had not even asked for. Now, when I call customer care, I am being told that I need to first pay this bill of Rs. 426 or else my Photon Number cant be put on hold. Means, they ask me to pay for service that I never asked for and that I did not use. I have called Customer Care again and again but with no positive result. Using Tata Photon Plus has been a harrasment to me. It seems it would be better to cancel this photon number instead of continuing using it.

          Tata Photon — BAD SPEED(NO ACTION TAKEN)

          I AM USING THIS SERVICE FROM SIX MONTHS AND MORE.

          I HAVE LODGED A LOT OF COMPLAINTS FROM THE STARTING DAY ABOUT BAD SPEED.IT IS GETTING WORSE DAY BY DAY.

          THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT EVEN SENT THEIR CORRESPONDING OFFICERS SEVERAL TIME,BUT IT NEVER WORKED.

          IT IS CHEATING,CAUSE IN REPLY THEY SAID IN PEAK OURS THEIR SERVICE BECOMES SLOW. THE FACT IS FOR ONLY SOME 2 OR 3 HOURS IN A DAY THEY PROVIDE A SATISFACTORY SERVICE AND THAT IS IN MIDNIGHT FROM SOME 3A.M. TO 6 A.M.

          IT IS EMBARRASSING AND I WONDER HOW SUCH A BIG NAME (TATA) CAN CHEAT THEIR CUSTOMERS.
          The most pathetic service provided by any provider till date. Have registered multiple complaints for my photon plus speed, but till date no action has been taken.
          right from the day of purchase the problem is in place, but the authorities seem to have a deaf ear towards the complaints raised.

          I had purchased the Tata Photon Whiz, on 14th feb 2010, thinking it's reliable source(TATA) of good and fast network. But from the beginning day it started showing its real face. Often the device is been not detected by the system and downoading speed is the real HELL...(<1kbps as against, the promised speed of 153kbps{?} by these CHEATERS). Many a times the webpages will take 10 minutes or more to open( It will result in Hypertension in High BP patients). At least for 6-7 times I had given complaint about the problem to the Photon customer care, about the bad network and the bad hardware( the modem gets over heated during usage...I think it's abnormal, as i"ve seen the other tata modems working). But these bloody people assured me that an Engineer will come and resolve all my problems. The same thing has been told to me for the fourth time...( BIG JOKE). Every time the BLOODY ENGINEER might ve gone to the HELL...I think without this PIECE OF , my life during last one month of it's usage, would ve been better than it's usage. I wish, THE TATA TO GO TO HELL for their incredible INFIDELITY.

            The "Connection Engineer" had visited my site.
            The engineer after struggling with my machine, told me:

            Sir..... For broadband the minimum speed is XYZ.... and you are getting more than XYZ. So we cannot do anything.

            Well, I do understand that part, but then what if the ratio between XYZ and the promised speed is 1:20.
            There has to be an average speed.

            Can someone help.

            Earlier I thought that the speed issues are due to location issues; as most of the time, until 1 month, the connection was used at KundalaHalli (My registered correspondence/billing address).

            But quite recently, when I started to use the connection moving across places in Bangalore, I realized that the speed issues are everywhere.
            Even in places like Banaswadi, M.G. Road and Electronic City I am not getting decent speed.

              I am really going sick now the way you people torchering me without repying me in correct manner.



              According to our conversation on mobile phone with the person whose number display in letter told me so many time that i need not to pay any amount if i am not uses it.he told me ,he will investigate the case and respond me with the data uses and how/why i am using two number at same time.



              the person who talk to me 3 month before very clearly told, we are not charging for rental.if by mistake another nuber given to you and you are not used it single time we will not charge you.





              Please send me the data uses with monthly basis ,the sighning date of the document and the date when you activate my this another data card.



              please invesigate properly my case as i feel some body in cusomer care personally mentalally harrashing me.


              i am waiting for the responce for long time as i all ready send the mail to the mail id which he given me that time.





              Please forword this mail to proper authority as i am planning to go the court for personally mentallig harashing me without giving any service to me.





              As i am asking for the data uses and proper investigation of the case for last 6 month ...



              Any mental or other damage responsibilty now go to the tata photon people as they are harashing me for long

                Hi Team,

                This is regarding the photon no - [protected] which i m using for the last 6 month and my usage is in between 1.3GB to 1.8GB but for the month of june usage shows as 2.3GB. regarding the ussage i called to customer care and get the usage details , where i found that there are some incorrect charges in my account and at that point of time i didn't use the photon device.

                Regarding this incorrect charges i have raised 2 compalin[protected]on 28th june) and[protected]on 1st july) but both the complain are closed with resolution.

                i repeated call to customer care but the there is no possitive response and on resolution at all.

                could you please help me to resolve the issue and get the waver for the extra charges.

                  I had recharged my tata photon plus for 255 Rs through iChoose on 7-8 th July 2012. After putting all my credit card details it gave me error "recharge again" so I did it again. Next time too it gave me same error.
                  So it is obvious from error that the earlier transactions may have failed or couldn't proceed and got reversed but after checking my statement they actually deducted my amount. So I end up with three recharges.
                  Please help me getting my balance back. I don't need three recharges. Why should I?

                    I have purchased a TATA Photon Plus Data Card with MEID No.A0000033F223A speed upto 3.1 Mbps(download link) on 26/06/2012 at cost of Rs850/-. The above net service is a post paid connection and payable on monthly billing (rental basis) basis. The speed of the above data card function very smoothly immediately after purchase but from last week it is running in extremely slow speed and and I am not able to access any site properly.The matter may please be taken seriously and do the needful at the earliest.

                      I have tata photon connection from past 5 years no. [protected], the speed by this Tata photon connection is just 7% of the promissed speed.

                      TATA Photon is a poor product it promises a speed of 3.1 MBPS where as actually it give an average of 0.21 which is just 7% of the speed I have 10 reading of this product and data is collected at various locations, When contacted to there "nodal officer Sanjeev Gulati" his response was very discouraging and he approach was not at all consumer friendly and he could not resolve this problem. He response was the we have closed the compliant from our side and record. I past 5 years I have paid INR 43000/= to tata teleservices for a poor service and speed, I need 93 % of this money back with interest ASAP and a written appologies from Sanjeev Gulati and Tata teleservices on this subject.

                      When I contacted the Tata teleservices CEO's office at Mumbai ( after making numerous calls ) I could contact Vineeta and she assured me correction of the same but problem persists , I tried so many times to get the phone no. of Mr. narsiman the CEO of the company but Sanjeev blocked all the efforts to get his no. practically he has forced me to file this consumer compliant as it seems there is no escallation process in Tata teleservices.

                      With this ethics they will keep on CHEATING the customers giving them 7% of the promissed speed.

                          I have one Photon Plus connection (No.[protected], A/c. No.[protected]. Since March'2012, the company unauthorizedly charging me Rs.99/ for Add on Packs - M760659) which I am protesting since then. Written to the company authority several times and finally on 13/05/2012, the company has accepted their mistake and promised to correct it from June'12 billing. Unfortunately, nothing has happend to it and they continued to harrass me. The appellate has promised to redress my problem but promise remains to be promise only.

                          Filing my complain about it to you for redressal and take action against the company so that they stop this malpractice immediately. I am attaching the e-mail received from the company complimenting my grievance.

Having lots of problems with photon+ services and issues with speed and connectivity I raised several complaints and finally requested for account services to be cancelled on 12th February 2012 and it was agreed that it has been processed, I received a call from retention department a couple of days later, offering me three months probation period and if I chose to discontinue I was given full authority by the person and It was agreed that all previous charges were written off and I was not liable for any further billing unless I choose to continue the services.

                            I have received a call today from some advocate on behalf of Tata Photon (file no.DLA8004) threatening to pay 2399 rupees against the outstanding bill which I was told services are on old. I was told my services were on hold and I will not be charged during the safe custody period.

                            I called up Photon+ today and spoke to Seema who confirmed that safe custody was never activated on the account and I was being billed unnecessarily without my knowledge and without using any services.

                            I have raised a complaint with Tata photon plus (reference number[protected] and also seeking help from this forum to get this sorted. They have caused me a great level of stress and threatened me.

                            I look forward for a positive response and take strict action against these careless and incompetent people who are running a huge business and doing fraud making money out of innocent people.

                              I had ordered for the tata photon plus internet on 7 june 2012 it is still not delivered. I had ordered it to the employee named Vanita Chatla she has taken Rs 1199 as activation amount from a cheque of bank of baroda no-00046.please see to it that the order is delivered or money is refund back to me.

                                Tata Photon Plus was available with some offer where I have to pay 2500 and i get the dongal and 3 months internet usage (2.5 GB each month). I asked them that if the service is good in kalyan as it is capable of 3.1 Mbps and the ans was YES as i stay near station i wont have problem for connection and speed (according to tata photon salesman).... thinking if not 3.1 mbps, atleast i will get 1 mbps speed n i purchased 1. Since then i am not getting speed of more than 16 kbps which is less than my blackberry internet speed (Vodafone). Why is it so that a consumer is not educated before delivering the product. why dont the manufacturer inform or give correct information. This is not done atleast with such a big name TATA.. hope they understand the need of consumer and do something about it or else will dum this thing in garbage thrash and switch to something which is more reliable and never look again for same brand for wat so ever product..

                                    DON’T PURCHASE TATA PHOTON.

                                    I am using tata photon from the last 4 6 months and i am in 1500/- which is the maximum package which includes (unlimited browsing and unlimited downloading) . The speed was so slow that it took 8 days to download a movie but it was not successful. First 3 months i have received a bill of 1500/- and after 4 months even though it is (unlimited browsing and unlimited downloading) I have received a bill of 2700 /- when tried to contact with tata photon customer care .. (really sucks ) hung up for 5 times . sent a mail request number : The Reference No. is 163370 on Mon 6/21/2010 4:39 PM to [protected]@tatatel.co.in and today is 1-july 2010 no response . Tried to contact with Nodal Officer Mr. Dheeraj Chatlani on [protected] . And his phone does not works …

                                      I'm a customer of TATA Photon+ since the last about two years and am using the 5Gb unlimited plan.

                                      Since the last three months I'm not getting the promised speed of 512 kbps which comes with the package and was available before until Apr12. Although, I have been complaining this to the complaints department of TATA PHOTON the customer rep tell me that the usage of 5 Gb is exhausted.

                                      My billing cycle is from 5th of every month to 5th. This month also the complaint I lodged today met with the same response although it has been only 5-6 days since the start of new billing cycle, which was 5th of Jun. I'm astonished how 5gb has been used within this short period of less than a week.

                                      I've asked the customer care to check the billing period and reset the usage after 5th Jun but it seems their system shows an error and reports the mistaken over usage.

                                      Please take down this complaint against TATA Photon service provider which has failed to provide the promised services to its customers despite having complained at least 4 times about the same issue. How can this be corroborated is by checking the daily usage since 5th Jun 12.

                                        As per the scheme provided by the our sbi corporate plan for sbi employee by the TATADOCOMO TATAPHOTON PLUS, i am one ofthe user of corporate group sbi, and using tatapoton from last two year i have launch in beetween so many complaint to tataphoton company regarding the services and the network, and speed. but they are not providing me as per they committed to me. and one more thing i am using tata poton plus network in mumbai city , they are prociding mi tata photon wiz network, and i am getting only speed 0.06 mps to 0.09 mps.
                                        and for this reason i am enable to do my work on proper time as i told you its my offical networjk, so i have to claim on this company for compansison or action on proority basis
