I have call Tata Photon Plus customer service on 29/04/2012 to raise a request to change my plan to 750 2GB Plan to 950 5GB unlimited plan that day the customer service rep assure that the plan will be changed from the next billing cycle i.e it will be reflected from 05/05/2012 but it will not happen. So I contacted the customer service they told irresponsible replay to me the CSR person said on 29/04/2012 you never make any call to Customer Service and he told your plan will be changed from June. I am not agreed with that at last he gave complaint # and told me that their rep will contact me before 08/05/2012. From their point of view I never made a call on 29/04/2012 means why they gave a complaint # and why the told me their rep will contact me to resolve this issue ?... They are playing with customer they are making customers fool this is not a fair..... Our government will take care of this kind of fraud customer service..... Everyone should know this peoples are not directly under Tata photon company some other BPO will doing Customer Support for Tata Photon so those CSR's will doing this kind of nonsense..

    I'm a Tata Docomo Photon customer, no: [protected].

    I'd registered a complaint, No: NTT[protected] f on the 21st of April for the restoration of my data balance of 5682 MB, as it was wrongly taken from me due to an error from Tata DOCOMO Photon's end, and the promised resolution date was 24th April. Nothing has happened.

    I had made numerous calls top to the customer call centre (more than 15 times), sent many emails (about 12 mails), escalated it, even sent a complaint to the Nodal desk ( 6 times), called them up (3 times) to no avail or redressal. I was asked to call to number[protected], no has ever picked up. Had sent mails to [protected]@tatadocomomarketing.com, customer.[protected]@tatatel.co.in, Customer.[protected]@tatatel.co.in, customercare.[protected]@tatatel.co.in, all futile.

    The last I spoke to a service rep, he said that he was helpless and even though my resolution was still in open status, there was nothing he could do and I should just hope that someone would call me someday. Can any one believe this?

    Can anyone at Tata DOCOMO help me ?!!!!!!!!!!!! Every time I call, the service personnel is helpless and most times they just keep generating new docket nos.

    I think I should be writing to Ratan Tata soon.

    Just to give a background of the problem:

    I had a data balance of 5682 MB which was to expire on April 10th midnight. I had recharged my account online with Rs 350 at 7:08 pm, well in advance of the cut-off time.

    I also received a payment confirmation mail from Tata photon's end, below. (Also received a payment confirmation from my bank)

    Despite, receipt of the recharge amount and the confirmation of the same, I was shocked to find that my account wasn't updated from the service provider's end and I had lost all my data balance as well as the Rs 350 that I had recharged it with.

    I have since got a refund of the Rs 350, but Tata DOCOMO Photon hasn't moved an inch in restoring my data balance of 5682 GB despite promising to restore it by 24th April

      Though i am here not to submit my complaints but to suggest people that if they are planning to buy Tata Photon Plus then they should try for something else. I am a user of Tata Photon Plus and the service of Tata Photon Plus has became more worst now a days. After recharging with RS 700 i got 1 GB with a speed of 250 KB/S and post using will give you a speed of 12-20 KB/S...Though Tata Photon Plus are saying that post usage speed will be about 150 KB/S(Lie) ...you will have to try refreshing your browser for at least 3 times if you want to open a simple web page of google. I have planned for a Broadband lan connection from next month. Also your Tata Photon Plus connection will automatically get disconnect after evry 10 or 15 mins :P idk why? So better try some other internet providers else than this extraordinary super duper worst Tata Photon Plus service.

          Only after using the usb internet connection for a couple of months I decided to disconnect the service. I called the customer service and spoke to a lady who took my cancellation, but she did not give me any cancellation number or confirmation number. I also advised her that I will payoff my complete pending amount in the next month and get over with it. I paid of the last amount that i needed to pay to TATA DOCOMO PHOTON and was assured that i wont be getting to use their pathetic service anymore. To my amazement i found out that the service is till active when i checked the usb next month just out of curiosity.
          I called the customer service again and i spoke to an another reprensatative. This time this it was a male voice assisting me who said that you service is still active and you have a bill pending of Rs125.00. I requested that person to put in a cancellation request immedeatly and end this story. I also advised him that I would payoff the Rs125.00. He said that he would send a person over to my place to collect the money and he would disconnect my service. However no one came to collect the money. This represatative game me a Docket number for disconnection.
          Towards the end of march I start recieveing calls from TATA DOCOMO PHOTON office that I have an outstanding amount of Rs1113.00. I called the customer service again and asked for a supervisor. The agent would disconnect my call. I called again, and the same thing happened.
          Humiliated and irritated I did not call back again. A week back I have recieved a bill of Rs1604.00 which made me call the customer service again. I spoke to a a supervisor named RUBIN - whom i explained the situation completely, and he said that he would look into it and gave me a complaint number.
          Today I recieved a call from TATA DOCOMO PHOTON outbound representative SUDIP MAZUMDAR. This person told me that he does not see any records in their data that I called initialy and spoke to the girl and requested for canacellation. He also said that I was lieing all this time and using the photon service for which i have got billed. He was calling me to tell me that they cannot help me and I have to pay the complete amount. I felt cheated at that point of time. I need help here because im not going to pay these people who don like to disconnect service. I ask for your help here because I dont want the collection boys at my doorsteps creating a fuss for nothing.

              Dear Sir,
              I have been a tata photon user since October 2010, my photon no is [protected], these guys started a rewards points scheme ( tata photon premier league) based on your monthly bill and regularity of payment. i had accrued a lot of points. when today i.e on 19th April i was checking my points there was no website for the same, when I contacted the customer service they summarily told me that the scheme has been cancelled. this has been done with out any prior information to the customers. i wish some sort of action be taken against these big companies so they can't cheat poor hapless customers and play with their sentiments.

                Tata Photon Plus — Fraud..worst Speed..Not qualify as broadband

                I am a sad customer of Tata Photon Plus broadband for 6 months in Chennai. From day one, I face one problem or other. The speed is very bad and does not qualify as a broadband at all. My speed sometime goes even to 50 kbps. Their customer care is the worst thing I have seen. Last month, after numerous complaints and threatening the nodal officer that I would escalate the issue to tribunal, they sent one person to check the speed. That super tech guy came, disabled my antivirus, opened the speedtest.net and checked my speeds. Wow, the speed even went to up 600 kbps. He took my signature on his call sheet and vanished. After sometime, when I checked the speed, it was back to square one. Now I am very tired of running after them. First thing, how can they depend on a third-party website to check speeds? They did not have their own mechanism to check speed. Even now, while I am typing this, I have download running of 37.5 MB and it took almost 1 hour to get half way. I am very tired of going for legal remedy, as I have collect proofs everytime. My blood pressure rises whenever I use the net and face this pathetic speed. I faced mental agony many times in last 6 months o[censored]sing their services.

                Please guide me in this regard.

                Hi, I have purchased a photon plus on 24-02-11. It got activated on 28-02-11. My photon No is [protected] I have read thousands of reviews on tata photon plus and then decided to purchase it. But those reviews came meaningless to me because I was made a FOOL by those tata agents. They promise you 3.1 Mbps, but m getting a maximum speed of [censored] 4 KBps. I can surely say that i[censored] take a super fast laptop with Photon+ under their tower and take speed test for 24hrs then also U will not get downloading speed more than 50 KBps. So it is my earnest request to all my friends that pls pls pls never ever buy such product. . . . in your life. Otherwise U will find Ur self writing like me to suggest others that not to buy Tata Photon. . . . They are just CHEATERS. They came into the market to earn by cheating. . . . . . . . . . .If any one person changes his mood of Photon+ after reading all these I would say my money did not wasted.
                If one person makes one complain about their owned defective, problematic, unsatisfactory product. Then there will be no person being cheated bu a company..

                Completely agree. Its just a marketing strategies and show-off by such companies to attract customers. In reality the speed sucks. I am a user since last 3 months and
                - I have not been able to watch/listen any streaming media.
                - On connection to internet the browser opens and load the default page along with the applet which probably should be of some size.
                - The billing is improper and questionable.
                - The speed is very bad.
                - The modem heats up like its been in furnace and eventually stops working.
                - The online account management is at its worst.
                Last but not the least the customer service is very bad.They are the big liars in-spite of sending email they keep on saying they have not received any emails.
                I am fed up of this now.

                hey man, is it the speed u get in torrent downloads coz even i get the same speed : max : 10kbps while downloading torrent files.
                They are shaping the traffic for torrent softwares. It is a common practise to put a cap on p2p softwares in the Western countries.But atleast they admit that they do it, but here in india, these guys clandestinely put a cap on unlimited plans.
                lets get together and kick their !

                Tata Photon + is a corrupt company other broad band services are much better than Tata photon.Once i was started download movies& games as i have cross download of 10 GB then my dear serves operator dropped my network ultimately speed below 999 bytes. This company must destroyed for sake of GOD

                          i purchased an tata photon plus with no. [protected] MEID:A[protected]DAFE on 3rd of april 2012, from OMNI COMMUNICATIONS based at d-480, palam extn, near HP gas agency, pamphal chowk, sec-7 dwarka, new delhi-110077,
                          i purchased the photon with an assurence of speed upto 3.1mbps for 1st 1 GB and then after 512 KBPS after that,
                          Untill 1 GB speed was about to 600KBPS, and after that when i checked the spee it becomes only 10-12 Kbps, when i confirmed it from customer care of tata communications they said after 1 GB speed will come doen to 32kbps as maximum speed, And they could not helped me there and refused to close my account as according to them 1 month has not been completed yet,
                          when i called to OMNI COMMUNICATIONS then had no answer for 1st time and asked me to hold, then they disconnected my call and never pick again.

                          Tata Photon+ — Wrong information

                          I have bought a new tata photon+ from hot spot on 26th or April 2010.
                          The hotspot person told me that u can surfing all the web site free of cost, company charged you only when you download some content.

                          but now on 3rd may 2010 i found that company charged me for surfing also, means the company hide these condition and they didn't tell me before purchaging this photon+,

                          now i m facing lots of problems bcoz i have bought this for some urgent work bt it not working right now.

                          I also bought a walky combo from Omni Communication, based at d-480, palam extn, near HP gas agency, pamphal chowk, sec-7 dwarka, new delhi-110077,
                          Then they commit me that my connection will be activated withinf 1-2 hours. now 48 hours have passed but none of them is working. And none of omni communication staff is picking my call.

                          And when i call from any new number then by mistake they picked my call but didn't give any satisfactory answer.

                          Please help

                          It has been more than 48 hrs and the Tata Walky is not activated. the man who delivered it did not even know the phone no. of the instrument and the accompanying sim. I dont know if they were frauds.
                          Omni is doing frauds in the name of Tata.

Please note that I haven't received any intimation through e-mail nor postal service. Inspite of speaking to your CCS, though promises were made that it will be sent through e-mail (after confirming the e-mail ID), I am yet to receive the intimation till 2225hrs today.                               I'm a Tata photon plus customer, no: [protected].

                              I had a data balance of 5682 MB which was to expire on April 10th midnight. I had recharged my account online with Rs 350 at 7:08 pm, well in advance of the cut-off time.

                              I also received a payment confirmation mail from Docomo photon's end, forwarded below. (Also received a payment confirmation from my bank)

                              Despite, receipt of the recharge amount and the confirmation of the same, I was shocked to find that my account wasn't updated from their end and I had lost all my data balance as well as the Rs 350 that I had recharged it with.

                              This is atrocious to say the least, especially since this is the second time that this is occurring to me. This time around I've decided to take the matter up very seriously and fight tooth and nail to ensure that my balance as well as my 1 month validity is restored to my account.

                              Therefore, I am seeking for the service provider to -
                              1) Restore my data balance of 5682 MB + 512 MB (of Rs 350 recharge)
                              2) Restore my monthly validity - 10/05/2012 + no of days that are taken to resolve the issue.

                              Since the recharge goo[censored]p happened well before the cut off time of my validity expiry, I will need the entire data balance back.

                              Tata Docomo Photon - Part II — Data balance still not restored

                              Hi

                              This is regarding complaint docket no: COM[protected] for Docomo photon no: [protected]. I had lost my data balance of 5682 MB despite recharging with Rs 350 and receiving confirmation for the same before the validity expired. While they've taken some steps to return the money, nothing has been done to restore my data balance of 5682 MB.
                              They've not replied to my emails, not picking up my calls to their customer cell no:[protected].

                              As a next step, I'm considering filing a case in consumer court.

                              As a caveat to other photon customers or those considering to buy one, in my next post, I will share the links of all Facebook pages where other Docomo Photon customers have faced similar problems and why they should go for a different service.

                              Expecting a reply from Docomo photon. I'vee sent mails to both [protected]@tatadocomomarketing.com and [protected]@tatatel.co.in to no avail.

                                I have a problem with the bill of Apr 2012. It is showing 1555 as extra usage charges.As i am using 425 plan under which i get 2 GB usage free and i always stick to that and pay bills well before due date.
                                But my latest Bill is showing usage of much more which is due to some mistake and i am not going to pay for it.
                                Either you deactivate my account or send me the correct bill which i am ready to pay as per my plan.
                                Again, i am leaving for abroad very soon for long duration so require quick response from your side so that i could settle the correct due before leaving.

And Sales Person who is sitting in Noida TATA office to much arrogance, ho doesn't know how to talk to customer.
                                  Don't know How Such a Big brand taking link such kind of sit of slums... who doesn't know how to behave the peoples.

                                  Still getting calls from TATA to take data-card... after this incident I clearly told i don't want any typo services from TATA now onwards...

                                    I purchased TATA Photon+ dongle device from Sangeetha store in Koramangala, Forum. I purchased it on Last Saturday April 7th. All the time i kept discussing about speed that i was looking for before buying the device making my intention very clear to buy a 3G device. They never disclose that the device they are selling to me is 2G device..

                                    It all revealed only when i was facing speed issue and went back to the store. I was told the device you bought is 2G device.

                                    I want to return the device and they are not accepting it back. I said i am ready to pay the internet usage. I have left device in the store on Sunday April 9th when i visited the store about 5.00 PM along with original bills and all accecories that was received with the device.

                                      I get fedup with tata photon plus,. i am only getting 28kbps and my plan is of 1100 Rs for which they claim upto 3Mbps.

                                      several time i call to their customer care but still the situation persist.
                                      I AM A PHOTON PLUS USER FOR LAST 15 MONTHS. I AM STAYING AT THANE. I GET AVERAGE SPEED OF DOWNLOADING BELOW 20 KB. I COMPLAINED . BUT THEY R SAYING IN MY AREA SIGNAL WEAK. I AM STAYING IN CITY AREA. STILL HAVING PROBLEM . IAM VERY MUCH DISAPPOINENTED BY PHOTON PLUS SERVICE
                                      i can not help but agree.
                                      Im using this device from last 2 months & experiencing that same speed of 100 kps & downloading 10 kbps ( maximun speed which i get ) . i have register several complaints but nothing had happened, always get same response, Mr. Vidyajit was very right abt the speed that it should be 1.5 Kbps not 1.5 Mbps, tata is such a flop connection in every thing from mobile to net..the company ever...//
                                      althougn my signals are always 100% but speed is same a max . of 100 Kbps .Such a big flop, stupid, damn device i'v experienced ever...

                                      hey man, is it the speed u get in torrent downloads coz even i get the same speed : max : 10kbps while downloading torrent files.
                                      They are shaping the traffic for torrent softwares. It is a common practise to put a cap on p2p softwares in the Western countries.But atleast they admit that they do it, but here in india, these guys clandestinely put a cap on unlimited plans.
                                      lets get together and kick their !

                                      I am using Tata photon plus for the last one year (Photon No. [protected]) with post paid monthly subscription of Rs 950/- (5GB, unlimited). The download speed never reach the promised 3.1 Mbps, the average speed is always fluctuating between 100 to 300 Mbps. A couple of times it reaches 1 Mbps in the last one year for very few minutes. They are the cheater of customer and minting money from customer. I request, all those who read this not to prefer TATA Photon Plus at all. Is there any one to take these cheating company to the consumer forum and let them pay for their crime.

                                      Tata Photon — very slow speed

                                      Tata Photon Plus is pure in terms of broadband and connectivity. Better shift to prepaid and demand a signal booster antenna. Tata Photon is CDMA connectivity like Reliance. Avoid CDMA and go only for GSM wireless connectivity, but not that of BSNL. BSNL is good only for landline broadband connectivity. I too am stuck with TPP but as prepaid (512MB/month for Rs350) and also use BSNL Combo plan for landline broadband.

                                      Hi Concerned,
                                      Am using tata photon plus since 3 months and a/c number is [protected]. At starting it was having good speed but after one month it is very slow and some times it wont work only, to open one web page it takes minutes together and some time i get fed up and close the laptop itself. If check the network it is full only. No customer service is good. Till now they call only for payment pending if any or else no customer service. I have tried to lodge complain on their website only interesting thing is their web page is not working properly. These people are simply using TATA name... Please help on this ASAP

                                        POOR TATA PHOTON WHIZ SPEED

                                        I am Rajinder, i am using tata photon whiz since last 40 days in Tapa Mandi Barnala Area.
                                        My Photon whiz No is -- [protected].
                                        when i taken that conncetion, tata indicom executive was saying that
                                        max. speed of tata photon whiz is 153.6Kbps.
                                        But i am getting only max. speed 3 to 4 Kbps.
                                        I am calling daily customer care 2-3 times regarding same issue.
                                        but issue not yet resolved.
                                        I am totally fedup with tata photon whiz.
