Hello,
I had a photon whiz, which I used till august 2011. I have surrendered the device at the
tata dealer's(TATA I) office on August 2011 as part of device upgrade to photon plus. At that time, the billing person told me that, all the bills are settled and I dont need to pay anything further with regard to the photon Whiz device. But from January onwards, I started getting court notices on non payment bills, for using the photon whiz, which I already surrendered to the SL Plaza retailer, palarivattom, asking me to contact Jancy(from an advocate, claimed to be a high court advocate(not sure whether this advocate itself is fake or true)). So I tried reaching Jancy, in the number given in the court notice. The number given in the court notice itself was not working!!!!
After having a long googling, I got one number of tataindicom retailer and tried reaching
them and also got connected once. The lady who answered the call told me that, some cashier
done some cheating and the cashier, who attended my request, dint pay my amount on
time(Customer has to pay and suffer for even TATA employee's mischieves). Also assured me
that, I will not get any more court notices further(Great Thanx to TATA for your kind
heartedness. I will be always thankful to you).
Due to this great service, I thought of cancelling the tataphoton as well. So I started
calling all the below given numbers, which are displayed in their own portal and other sites
as the retailer numbers. But I realized that none of the provided numbers are not seems to
be existing.

proof, when I dial this number).
Fax No:[protected] This number exist and rings, but no one will answer.

service for CDMA!!!!)
[protected] - Rings and one lady answered once and connected me to the billing desk. After
having a discussion, they stopped picking the call. No one will answer now, just can hear
the ring(Already called, more than 40 times to this number alone).

So I started googling again to reach their corporate call center. I got the following as
their customer care cell number.

Fortunately I were able to reach this number almost all the time. One funny thing I noticed
is that, after pressing button 9, they say, you are going to get connected to a malayalam
speaking executive. But you will be able to reach only a hindi or english speaking executive. Leave it, since thats not my concern.
back to my issue again,
So I explained my sad story to the first executive I spoke to(I think, it is keerthana or
someone, dont remember the name exactly). After hearing my story, she said, it is not
becuase of thier mistake, I got the court notices. It is because of my mistake I got the
court notices. When I asked, If I can record it, she said, she dint tell anything like that
and she dint mean like that. Sine currently I'm located in bangalore, she asked me to
contact Retailer in Bangalore to close the photon plus connection or to migrate the device
to a prepaid plan. She asked me to contact the retailer just opposite to the Forum Mall(Near
St.Johns), in bangalore. So I travelled to the tataindicom office to meet that retailer on 20/02/2012, by around 6:30PM. She also informed me that, if she is initiating the cancellation, it will take 7 - 15 days, so it is better to meet the tataindicom office in bangalore itself to close the connection within one day.
I met the sales person, who handles tataphoton activities and informed him my reason behind this visit. He asked me to keep standing, till he is free, though a couple of chairs were free(The perfect way to treat a customer). after 10 mins, I were able to meet the sale person. I told him that, I need to close this connection at teh earliest. He told me that, it is not possible to close the connection from bangalore office, since the devie is registered in cochin. I told him, the customer executive of tata indicom itself asked me to visit this office to close this connection within one day. He said it is not possible as per the tata indicom policy. So, I called the customer care again, after staying over there itself. The executive who attended the call told me that, whatever the sales person is telling wrong and the cancellation can be done from bangalore office. So I requested the customer executive to talk to the sales person. He agreed to that and I gave the phone to that sales person. But unfortunately, the sales person rejected my request to talk to him. He said, he dont want to talk to anyone else, even if it is his own company's executive. So I informed the executive that, the sales person is not ready to listen to you or to your collegues.
Next day, I again made a call to SL Plaza at the number [protected]. A lady attended my call and transferred the call to a gentle man. I requested him to cancel my connection. He asked to provide him with a written cancellation request. He also told me that, an email is just fine. He told me that, he can drop me a mail from the company mail address, so that I just need to reply back to that mail, saying that I need to cancel this connection. As promied he dropped me a mail from the mail adress [protected]@tatatele.co.in. He also asked me to call back to the same number, so that he can confirm the cancellation on the same day itself. So I replied back to his mail for the cancellation. But no one replied back to that mail, till this moment. I have also tried to reach him in that phone number. None did attend the call since then.
So I again called the customercare for getting help in that regard. They told me that, the mail address the SL plaza given is wrong and is old one. I need to use [protected]@tatadocomo.com. So I again dropped a mail to the new mail address, keeping cc the old mail address. This time, I got a auto reply from the mail account and no one replied back then.
So once again I called the customercare for cancellation. They atlast agreed that, they can initiate the request from their side, provided I should pay the bill till the process is over, which I can expect in next 15- 25 days. They provided me with the following request number[protected] and told me that the corresponding team will be in touch with me soon. But this also, I dint hear anything back from them, via the call or mail. So today(24/02/2012) I thought of doing some more googling, so that If I get a new number, which I can find some responsible person, who can understand and listen to my concerns. So I found the below number, which belongs to the appelate authority.

Atlast, my phone was attended by a lady, who assured me that, she will do something on this. But she asked me to wait for next few more days, till she get some response from the corresponding tata indicom cancellation team. But she is also not sure of amount that I need to pay for the delay happened from tataindicom team. She told me that, she will try to avoid billing me further, but she cannot gurantee it. I might need to pay this month's bill also, though I'm not using the device.
Well, I am extremely happy to see the awsome support from various tataindicom retailers and customercare. I had to spend more than Rs.180 for telephone calls itself for making them understand my concern. Also had to spent a few bugs to visit that retailer in bangalore. Also thank you so much for SL Plaza crew and the respected advocate for sending me court notices and making me frustrated. I have only one advice to all, if possible stay away from TATA TELE Services and SL Plaza Palarivattom.
