On July 14th 2016, I got a call from TataSky, mentioning about an yearly subscription offer. I had made an online payment of the said amount on the same day. After some time, the TataSky agent called and said that they did not receive the amount. I checked and confirmed with the bank, they said the payment is cleared from their end, but due to some server issue with TataSky, the payment was getting delayed. The TataSky agent asked me to make another payment of the same amount, and if both amounts are paid to them, the extra amount shall be refunded in 7 days, is what the agent said. So I initiated another transaction of Rs.2400/-, which was successfully completed. The next day TataSky gave be a confirmation that the amount got credited to them twice and they shall return the additional payment of Rs.2400/- in 7 days. That they have not done so far. When I followed up with them again, they are now mentioning that 2.5% of the amount shall be deducted towards some charges and the remaining amount only will be paid.
Tata Sky customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
