Dear customer redressal forum,
Subject - cheats/fraud/false statements in order to sell their product
I think tatasky is either on some money making racquet or they don't have money to pay salaries or eat too, soo they constantly fleecing customers. They deserve to be banned as dth providers and management prisoned and fined for running scams.
I have taken 1 hd service connection of tatasky via consumer id [protected], which was supposedly to expire on 16/06/16. But i started getting calls to get the same renewed a week before the expiration date. And anytime tatasky called me to get my package renewed they deliberately advised fake packages to make double money.
My hd package was perfect with 52 hd channels before they advised me to take a new package as the price for renewal was high. Upon asking, i was assured that all channels including hd channels (52 channels) would remain the same as it is in my "grand sports" package, the only change would be the price and it's going to be a new connection with new setup box. Despite knowing that my previous setup box would be useless after taking new connection, i went ahead purchasing the new package called "dhamaka pack" with new consumer id [protected] and i was advised by the tatasky representative over the call that it's just a mere name change of the package not the features and this entire affair would cost me inr5400 annually. However, post installation, when i surfed it, i observed that maximum number of channels including hd channels are not authorised to be viewed to which the technician advised that i should contact the customer care center to the get same activated as they would update your account in the system.
When i called the tata sky call centre to get all the channels including hd channels activated i was told that i have to pay additional inr 450 to get all channels including 43 hd channels activated as the new package only has 32 hd channels and inr 7100 for a new connection (Another connection). I was dazed to hear that. I told the representative that i was told that i would get all the features and services as is in this new package as i had in my previous one. To that the representative told that i would capture your concern and the concerned team would get in touch with you.
When i received a call from the so called concerned team i was told that to get all features of "grand sports" package i have to additionally pay inr2300. I responded "why would i pay more, when i was committed that i would have all the features that i had in my previous package within inr 5400?" then the representative said you have to take "ultra pack" in order to get all channels including hd channels else you will get what you have now.
Upon asking the call was retrieved where i was given a false commitment and statement by there representative to which they said they would give feedback to the representative but would not be able to help me give what i was committed. Really disgusted with tata sky service.
I have raised several complaints with them but it is very sad that the team hired to serve in tata sky is doing such a terrible job with it, the people in charge of customer service are oblivious of the customers grievances and are very mechanical, scripted in their dealings.
I would urge the higher management in tata to introspect and bring some necessary changes required to save the brands service delivery, even the team leaders and supervisors in tata sky will speak in a very unprofessional &oblivious manner treating the customer in a patronising way. Highly disappointed!!!
To my surprise the tata sky team beleive him and not cared to resolve my problem.
