On 20.7.2016, i sent recharge amount of Rs. 7990/- for full year i.e 12 months from 24.7.2016 to 23.7.2017. To my surprise i find that validity has been extended up to 23.01.2017 i.e for 6 months.
Such a callous approach. Helpline and zonal officers simply dropping the calls and not helping.
Tata Sky customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
ID No. [protected], Against a recharge amount of Rs. 7990/- submitted validity extended for six months i.e. upto 23.1.2017, instead of fullyear(12 months up to 23.7.2017)
Tatasky simply ignores your complaints, no helpline person or regeional representative ready to help. Simply keep you holding the line. Recharging is quite problematic.

    Unfair Trade Practice & Deficiency in Service & in Quality of Products Sold.

    1. My TataSky Subscriber's ID is [protected]. Due to apparently very-very poor quality (infra) of TataSky-Set-Top-Box my previous Set-Top-Box was replaced on 17.04.2020 at my House in Lucknow[protected] New Set-Top-Box's Card ID No. is:[protected]; and Rs.350 for the said Box PLUS Rs.150 for Tatasky's Technician were charged from me by the said Company.

    2. On 21.05.2020 the Software for the said Box was auto-upgraded by TataSky and, thereafter, Error Message appeared: "Your Tatasky Box is not receiving signals ...".
    I found from your insider sources that similar problems had occurred elsewhere, too, after Tatasky switched over from one GSAT satellite to another -- especially where Tatasky's Dish-antenna had not been initially focussed to receive the Best-Quality-Signals from the then used satellite, i.e. where the antenna was installed hurriedly by Tatasky's Technician.
    I Chatted Online with Mr Rahul (Tatasky's Agent) -- he tried 'system re-set' through me, but no TV Channel could be accessed. Therefore, he raised Request No. 1-23D7K6SR for Technician's Help @ Rs.150 -- AGAIN!
    Thus, for the fault of Tatasky's own Technician earlier, Tatasky was re-demanding Rs.150 (again) for fixing Tatasky's own technician's fault (i.e. the 'jugadu' or negligent work performed by Tatasky's first Technician), especially when a Doctor's charges for Home-visit are only Rs.100?
    So, I emailed Shri Ratan Tata, amongst others; and the said Rs.150 were waived.

    3. Yesterday, the sound suddenly disappeared from Tatasky's Set-Top-Box -- whereas my same speakers & cables are fully working (functional) on my PC.
    During my Online Chat with Tatasky's Agent, Complaint No.273R01ZC dated 06.07.2020 was registered, and I am being asked to pay Rs.150 for your technician's visit -- as & when he would come.
    He has not come so far.

    4. Firstly, how can a Set-Top-Box fail to work AGAIN & AGAIN -- thrice within almost two & a half months, unless its quality is absolutely sub-standard? Or, secondly, is it a new tactics for fleecing Indian Citizens, especially War-Veterans & Senior Citizens like me?

    I am a Senior Journalist, 1971-War Veteran, Sr. Citizen & Advocate-on-Record (Supreme Court of India) -- does Tatasky want me to go before the Media and expose all this?
    May I reasonably hope that Shri Ratan Tata would kindly intervene and set things right at Tatasky's end before a situation arises that may compel me to go before the Media or to Hon'ble Court, plz.

    Tatasky, plz rectify the Fault, asap, without repeated Charges -- occasioned by the absolutely poor quality of Tatasky's Set-Top-Box. I am in no mood to pay (Period) because my conscience as a Military Officer does not allow me to be cheated.
    Further to my earlier Complaint, the problem is obviously with Tatasky's Set-Top-Box or its components, including its cables -- the same is under Warranty since the New Box was installed about 2 months and a half ago; hence, its replacement/ repair is Free.
    Then why Tatasky should Charge for its Technician who, as per Tatasky's internal procedures &/or settings, alone can replace or repair its said Box?
    Clearly, the said Charges are unconscionable, unfair trade practice and deficiency in service.
    Moreso, why is Tatasky debiting to my Pre-paid Balance -- which is held by Tatasky in a fiduciary capacity, for those days when to Tatasky's knowledge its Set-Top-Box is not working? By doing so, Tatasky's is committing Criminal Offences of Cheating & Criminal Mischie[censored]nder the IPC.
    It is worth repeating the contents of my Reply-email dated 07.07.2020 to Tatasky's Nodal Officer:-
    "What type of 'Consumer-Support' are you intending to give is apparent from the fact that you rang up my Number for merely 2 seconds -- that, too, from a Number which cannot be called-back (Error Message: "This Number does not exist")?
    Is Consumer-Support, especially when the Consumer has already paid you in advance for a Service of which you are wrongfully depriving him/her, a 'joke' for you?"
    The Issue has since been resolved through Nodal Officer by replacing the under Warranty Set-Top-Box, without charging Rs.150 as Technician's Fees (for the Technician who came to replace it) because the said Box can be replaced and paired with the Subscriber's Card, etc by Tatasky's own Technician only.

      Hereby we need to inform you that we have subscribe for a monthly simple package of tatasky on 25th june, 2016. So as per your policy terms the tata sky service should work till 24th july, 2016. But our connection was cut on 18th july, 2016. When we contact to the tata sky customer care they said that we have subscribe any offer like re 1 per day for some special channel which we have never done or even haven't known about it. And not for this time whenever we recharge for a monthly package your tata sky provider cuts some amount of money from our account for some fake reasons and everytime we get 5-6 days less service. So its my humble request to you to get some proper solutions for my this type of problem so that i may fill satisfy with your service. Otherwise i have none other option then to give chance to other service providers like reliance, videocon, airtel, etc like companies.
      And this type of problem occurs everytime at each recharge time. Hope this problem stops from the next time.

        I have ordered tata sky connection on snap deal and the product had been delivered to me but tata sky excutive still donot giving us the connection. According to snap deal tata sky officers had to contact us with in 24 hour but its more than 72 hours they are not responding us.           My tata sky subscription id is [protected]. I have been a very loyal customer since long, however now i feel highly cheated and harassed by the company.

          I have upgraded my tata sky normal set box to hd box but i wasn't provided with the hdmi cable during that time, neither was i informed about any such thing that this hdmi cable only helps in the clarity of hd channels. Now at that time because i was ignorant about something, they cheated me. Now i know that they should have provided an hdmi cable along with the hd set top box coz i have paid the full amount during upgradation. Now they provided with the cable after i raised the complaint but have charged for it and debited my tata sky account as well as deactivated the same.

          3 days back, one of their senior associate also confirmed me that the money would be reversed if at all it gets deducted from my account but now the concerned department is straight away denying it.

          I want a serious solution to this issue as i feel cheated twice now, once from the engineer's end and second time by the senior who committed a refund.

          Kindly look into this matter on an urgent basis.

          A phone was come from the company in day time (today 22.7.2016). We do not know that what he say about the package. After some time a message came from tata sky that Actve Music pack is now active on your Tata Sky account at Rs 30 for first month. Tune in to Ch No.815. Second message was that Request completed for Actve Music, Rs. 30. Current a/c bal Rs. 232.94 Due date 08-Aug-16. New Monthly Charges Rs 390. Neither was i informed about any such thing that Actve Music Pack. This is cheating second time on my tata sky subscription.

              I retired as medical director of headquarte hospital of central railway. I was residing in govt accomadation at churchgate mumbai. I was having tata sky connection. Subscriber i d :[protected]. I took mega hd pack along with multitv connection for one year.
              I requested tata sky people on 21st march to shift my connection to dombivali. It has not been shifted till date. I had to take another cable connection at dombivali. I lost subscription of tata sky from april to august.

                I am a tata sky user and i have been facing lot of issues regarding the billing. The last time i had paid the bill of rs 1460 for semi annual dhamal mix pack as sited in the www.mytatasky.com page. After couple of days i receive a call stating that i have not paid the complete amount to avail 6 months pack. I was out of station once i was back i verified the details and initiated a web chat with the tata sky associates and informed that i would pay the difference amount. But it felled on deaf ears so ask for a call back from manager but i did not receive any call. I called the tata sky again and spoke with the manager and with the nodal officer and explained him about the issue but all the one hour discussion gave me the same repetitive answer which i already know. Now my pack is changed to daily basis where rs 9 is deducted every day. Now i have a balance of 1047.52 and they are asking me to pay rs 483 to activate the semiannual plan. This is ridiculous after every recharge we need to call the company to avail the already selected packs. The company should at least create a user friendly website where the customer can select the package and get activated to the package which anyone chooses for.

                  I am subscribing to dhamaal mix pack since long. The charges are rs.270/- pm. But the company activate another channels without acceptance or intimation to the subscriber. Presently the company has activated commedy channel and levied rs.59/- without my acceptance and or even intimation to me and the monthly charges are revised to rs.329/- (270/- +59/-) i have been requesting to the company personally to customer care and also deleted the channel by deleting the additional channel through pack details yet the same is not deactivated. The amount of recharge rs.300/- on 17/07/16 is adjusted by including the additional channel of rs.59/-. This is highly objectionable as the company is undauntedly burdening the customers by additional charges. Whwn customer care is contacted their reply is always wonderful that they never activate any channel without acceptance of the consumer.
                  This may please be taken up and tata sky be warned not to do such things in any case of consumers in future.

                  Tata Sky New HD Box Not Working

                  Raised 3 comlaints with help line. No result. Some channels are not visible now after HD box installation which were previously visible with normal box.
                  I am aware of new channel numbers of Tata Sky. Need this to be fixed asap.

                    Sir, my id is [protected] i am not receiving signal on settopbox since 13 jul 16. wo q6jk9em of 15/7/16 outstanding without any action fm tatasky. recd 4 sms stating technical visits planned different dates. to our dismay nobody ever bothered to make acall inspite of repeated complaints. stereotyped answers within 2 hrs technicaian will contact u for appointments. tatasky is treating its customers shabbly. there is no forum to express our angush after paying advance yearly pakage. pls attend to our fault urgently.

                      I am subscriber of tata sky from last morethan 7 years. Recent days service gone worst, definitely authorities should look into it.

                      I logged a work order request (Q6cvhpt) on 13th july, wednesday. And i got it done by today 18th july, so 5 days for just installation. Then why you send your service will be done by 24 hours. I have not got any response from any engineer untill yesterday. I called tata sky helpline not less than 20 times to check update, even i asked to increase priority on this. No proper communication of representative, poor understanding level. They only keep saying that you will get a call next day after 10 am, which was never happened. After escalating the issue, they promised me that within 1 hour tata sky team will call me, again same here nothing happened.

                      Its very painful to get a paid service like that way. Totally unsatisfied service from tata sky, anyway i am going to cancel/terminate the connection next month. There are tons of service provider, better than you now.

                        Its been more than 10 days we have given a complaint on the services issues and we have already paid an advance amount in jun16 for the next one year for the further services, the same is due in aug16.

                        But we have not received any support and we asked you to disconnect the services as well. No revert we received on the request raised by us.

                        We want you to provide a proper service or disconnect the existing service and refund our pay.

                          I have applied for a new tata sky connection on 8th july, 2016. My subscriber id is [protected]. The connection is still not installed. I have called customer care numerous times and every time they say that your request has been cancelled as there is a local operator issue. However my friends are already using tata sky in the vicinity. There has been no issues with them.

                          Everyday when i call customer care i receive a call back and they say they have created a new request for installation and technician will visit our place however no one call me that day. After a day i receive a call to check whether the installation has been complete or not and when i tell them they create a new request again. This has been happening in infinite loops and i am frustrated with their service.

                          Please take care and install the connection now else give me a compensation including the money you charged me for a new connection.

                          We still have 3 days left in our present subscription, but no channels have been telecasted by tata sky for the past two days, and we have also paid for this month's subscription right now.We need a clarificatin or a solution for this problem

                            Fed up calling tata sky customer care who doesn't care their customer. Atleast more then 20 calls were made by me since last 5 days, still there is no resolution on this. There is a tata sky ampifier in the building which is no more working and that connects to atleast 10 consumers. And due to unavailability of amplifier they put all the customer complains on hold. Its now 5th day and they still couldn't able to manage amplifier. Don't know weather its coming from mars or mercury, hope its not pluto :). What should i do please suggest.

                              Hi,
                              I had payed the tatasky recharge amount of rs.2450 using payzapp application by scanning image from the tv. The money has been credited to tata sky bangalore account with the transaction id: mvisa2016071qu0 but so far tata sky has deducting the balance amount on pro rate basis even though i have recharged before due date. It's the problem with payzapp or tata sky team that they have to deal with but we are customer who are the sufferers.

                              There is no balance added nor the complaint raised has been take care from both the parties hdfc payzapp nor tata sky.

                                My name is harish. Subscriber id # [protected], registered ph # [protected].
                                Recently i have been transfered from pune to hyderabad. The technician who has de-installated the dish from our flat terrace has mis-placed a clip (L & b clip) for which i need to buy the whole dish again.

                                There is no check list of items that is been handed over or signed for which i was unaware of the items which i got before installation or at de-installation. I only came to know about the missing clip, when the technician from hyderabad has informed that there is clip missing

                                I want to request a strict action to be taken against the technician in pune who has mis-placed the clip for which i was charged huge and try to implement a process that all the required items must be handed over with check list like wire, adapter, box, dish, stand, etc...

                                  tata sky customer care is extremely disappointing. my original set top box stopped functioning 15 days back and due to reasons unexplained the technician took it back, replaced it with faulty one and replaced the faaulty one again with another faulty one.
                                  they did not explain the problem to me even after my repeated demands to know the actual fault
                                  also everytime they send a new technician and i have to explain him from the scratch which is too cumbersome.
                                  i do not have any idea how to get this problem fixed and am definitely frustrated with the response of the tata sky customer care.

                                    We had a problem with the tatasky set top box. After a technical check by the customer service agent on the phone it turned out that the set top box was faulty and had to be changed. The engineer came and checked and went and did nothing. After a couple of hours they came again and checked and went and again after a couple of hours they came at 8:30 pm. And gave me a new set top box but did not give me a remote so the set top box was useless. The next day they came and gave me another set top box and a new remote but again the remote did not work. Each and every person i spoke to was rude and unempathatic. They have harrased me for two days by thier constant visits and extremely rude and unhelpful customer service people. Now i have a set top box with no remote working even after three days of constant calling and multiple visits by the engineers. I have done all that i had to but that tell me that i have to do what they tell me to and they will speak to me the way they want and i have to listen to them. They won't let me speak to anyone senior and keep saying that i am the senior. It really has bin a tough two days and the third one follows. I'm writing this so that such things don't happen with others any more. They call and call when they have to sell but as soon as the product is sold they don't care. It's a horrible company and i will suggest that no one should use it. They have increased the rates and thier services are horrible. They are just fleecing and fooling people and this should really stop.

                                      My tata sky setup box is not receiving signal due to some technical problem,
                                      I make sure to get this complain on the ears of tata sky operators, today 17/07/2016 is the 5th day from the day of dis connectivity and still no efficient help is done by tata sky workers. Every day when i call, they promise me that they will be solving the problem tomorrow and their tomorrow never comes. Our subscription to our plan must be increased by the day of repair.

                                        My tata sky number is [protected]. Since 17th july 8pm there is no signal in the tata sky. After switching on the tv a message appeard in the screen "software being down loaded. Do not switch off" but neither software was loaded nor tata sky services were made operational. I had called the associates three times between 8pm to 8.45 pm and complained about the same. However on my complained every time i was told that as soon as down loading is complete the tv will be operative. But screen continued to show zero down loading. On my repeated complained i was told that we are looking into but could not clarify as why tata sky is failing to down load the software. I was shocked to hear an irritated voice asking me to complain on next day again being monday ie 18th july. I consider this as deficiency in service and if not services are not restored, i will perforce move to consumer forum in kolkata claiming harassment and mental torture apart from claiming damage for not providing services after taking recharge amount for promised services. I will now be compelled to switch over to other dth services. A. N. Singh
