(This is the details of the complaint i already lodge)
I have been using tatasky service from march 2012 in my current south delhi location and use the south sports package.In the month of july 2016, tatasky did an upgrade to their network and as a result i stopped receiving most of my channels apart from couple of my regional channel. I did not wanted to miss the euro match i soon contacted to the tatasky customer care on 2-jul to sort out the problems. His suggestion and tips did not work, and he suggested a the engineer would be visiting us by 7-july. He also pointed out i need to pay the charges of the engineer for the same. I pointed out this is due to upgrade problem from their side since it was working just before the upgrade and i should not be paying for the same. However tatasky remained adamant on this issue. On the same conversation i asked the representative to close the account and he denied to do so and place an fixing order only.
Next day (3-jul) i put a closure request through the tatasky portal; which had been responded back by tatasky on 11-july.
The interaction went as follows
11-jul afternoon
I received a call from tatasky cancellation department. The representative started the call asking me the reason for which i want cancel the account. I explained him as the tatasky is asking me to pay for the technician visit for the correction of the problem, which is the result of their upgrade they have made. So tatasky can not charge for the technician support. According to the tatasky representative as my settop box is out of warrenty, i need to pay the service charge. I did not agree to the point, and requested him to process my request for cancellation. I was asked by the tatasky repesentative to get my remaining money i need to pass them the tatasky settop box and it is as per their policy.Interesting tatasky is telling me that my settop box is out of warrenty (Which means it is my property) and they also want to get it back without paying me back for the settop box. With this point he mentioned me he will get back to me.
12-jul morning
Another call from tatasky. Once again asking me the reason of cancellation. And once again sticking back to their point i have to return the settop box, and they will not pay me back for the settop box. I agreed with him that he need to send me in mail the evidence that tatasky has shared me the policy he is mentioning during the time contract was made, and i shall be returning the settop box to them. He agreed to send me the mail.
12-jul afternoon
No mail from tatasky; and another representative called up. Again same pont and this time i need to mention to them that they have something pending from their side. This time the representative used a threat mode to say me that i am loosing my money since they will cancell the account only when they will get the settop box.
13-jul morning
No mail from tatasky; and another representative called up. Points repeated and i mentioned them they are westing my time as well their time. They need to send me the evidence of sharing the policy or they need to pay me back the installation charges for the settop box.
13-jul afternoon
No mail from tatasky; and another representative (Ravi kiran) called up. This time i made the they need to send me the mails in evidence first.
