Utter disappointment in talking to the call centre from April 1st for shifting the connection to a new address next building. Repeated calls to the call centre where young chaps talk in English but don't understand the meaning of the conversation.

Repeat calls on 5th and 6th to the call centre fell on deaf ears. In-fact the best part is that none of the executives understood or related to anything that I said. Exception a lady Swapna who was humane enough to escalate the call when I threatened to speak to her higher ups. But in the world of deaf and dumb team members, what can the lady help.

I have still not got my connection activated at new address and really clue less as to what to be done. This is fourth year running that I have taken an annual pack from them. Please help me with the office number of their CEO so that I could talk to him on this subject. If any other person knows other ways to get the connection activated immediately please let me know. Also would like to know how to get my lost days back.

Useless service, surely I will shift at the first given opportunity!

Tata Sky — disappointments with the service

we have recently taken new connection of TATASKY on 24th Feb.2010 with R.S.1600/- cash as 2months free subscription, shopkeeper said installation is completely free...next day 2executives came for the installation they demanded for installation charges we refused so they asked the charges of the cable this demand was not logical, we asked them 2describe us about the plans and packs available they sharply refused to tell anything instead gave a paper and asked to read it after all this they went away and within 2 days WITHOUT Any prior INFORMATION they blocked our connection due to not making payment of cable.I called him 2ask so he dint tell us instead again in a very abusing language asked to contact the shop from where we got it.
This is really disappointing when i called at this helpline no. and dint get proper information here also !!!!! we already have other cable connections providing good services !!! we got new TATA-SKY just for a change but we really did not knew that we have to face so many problems and take your help in this matter due to so much disappointments......

It is rightly stated by the shopkeeper that installation is free as you could check the website and find out the information that Rs1000/- on installation has been waived off. It is irrelevant for the technicians to ask for cable charges as such an event gives you the full right to contact the Co. officials outright and report such an occurence of technician demanding money. You need to verify whether they are official representative of the Co. It is a part of sales and aftersale to maintain good relation with the customer and official representative take utmost care and listen to the concern of customers. It is irrelevant and not inclined to the payment of cable that your connection has been blocked and since you are entitled to the 2months free subscription offer the account could have been blocked only for reason other than non-payment. The customer care is helpful is sorting and providing the update of your account status they are the direct point of contact to handle most of the issues.

I once faced an issue where I paid for the package amount but my account was de-activated. I tweeted regarding this complaint and tata sky immediately responded to my tweet. All I had to do is submit my subscriber ID. The customer service team instantly gave a callback and my account was activated. I suggest you too should provide your subscriber ID either here or tweet regarding your issue with this complaint link. I am sure they will look into your matter and fix the issue with your set top box.

    Power comes to the adapter, but the box doesn't receive power. It doesn't work. Facing problem since saturday. Tried to complain through calling the customer care number but of no use, never connects to the representative. Please rectify the problem as soon as possible.

      This in regards with false promises made by tata sky for relocation on his advertisement. In actual there relocation service is pathetic. They don't provide any service as commited.
      My tata sky ID is [protected], I relocated in the same city. Requested tata sky relocation on 1st March 2012. But inspite of several follow up my tata sky relocation is not done. When I call the customer care for expediting my request they provide me some timeline, which they don't follow. They have even provided me work order number twice but nothing really happened, I am still without TV cable.

      I am really helpless, Tata sky is not doing anything in this regards. So request you to kindly stop there false advertisement as they are actually selleing the product with misleading people.

      Also request tata sky to fulfill my request as soon as possible.

        myself dk pandey, [protected] its my mobile no. & my email id is pandey.[protected]@gamil.com. before few days i purchased a tata sky from the radhika electronic. after one week there is a problam in set top box. forthis i had a complained of customer care but we could not get any response. so we decided that we could not take tata sky. so, for your bad survice, you should pay our money.

          After seeing the advertisement in TV for punctuality of Tata Sky Services, I thought of taking their services. I checked their website and contacted on given number. Their person confirmed me that if I make the order online on 1st April via IVR option their installation person will come next day 10 clock. I made the payment of Rs. 1415 for std set up box. By my surprise no body has contacted me. I tired three times to their call center and every time their was new promise time with no effect. I simply wasted my 1 hr during this conversation.

          As a fact Tata Sky should pay back the charge to me for their non-sense behaviour.

            My complaint is regarding the false promises and incorrect information given by numerous Tata Sky customer care executives. I moved in my house from one location to other location in the same city. What started as a promise to do removal and reinstall within same day has now shifted to four days window. (maximum time is 72 hours mind it).

            The biggest blow is the current airing of the tele-ad of "meeting time promises" when I myself was promised a cc executive visit on 3.30 pm evening and at 4 pm, I call him back to find that he will not come as the location is far away ( What a promise kept of self's declaration and that too when I call a person back, he never cared to call me even).

            That said, and numerous calls apart, I am sitting here with my DTH dish in my hand and waiting for a person to come (at his suitable timings, but when I will be in office). These executives can't understand the importance of a customer's limitations and work by their approaches.

            First and immensely harsh complaint against other wise my good experience with Tata Sky.

              I am Tata Sky Subcriber ,Subcribe No.[protected], The last one week or so many chanels are interupted every now and then.As a result we are

              unable to view the programme any more. On contacting the Provider on their "help-line" we are fed with Recorded messages without any direct response.As such we cannot convey our complaints and get the remedial measures. Their help line is utterly "NON SENSE" AND USELESS,
              BESIDES FRISTRATING". They have recovered their charges in advance but dont care for attending for the services essentially required.

              Please take up the matter with them for providing the SERVICES and giving Damages to us for Non-availablity of their services.

                AGAINST THE WORK ORDER NO. # 1- [protected], JOB WAS COMPLETED ON 27/03/2012. IN THAT TIME TATASKY SERVICE ENGINEER TOLD ME MY TOTAL EXPENSES (INCLUDE ALL ) IS 425/- WHICH AMOUNT THEY ARE DEDUCT FROM MY ACCOUNT.

                28/03/2012 TATASKY OPEARETOR GAVE ME A MASSAGE ,AND THE MASSAGE DISPLAYING SOME NEGATIVE BALANCE AS A VISIT FEE 125/- WHAT IS THIS PLEASE EXPLAIN ME. WHERE AS THERE ENGINEER TOLD ME THE TOTAL EXPENSES ARE 425/- (INCLUDING ALL) PLEASE SEND THE DETAILS REGARDING THE ISSUE. AND BEAR A GOOD RELATION BETWEEN THE COMPANY AND THE CUSTOMER.

                  I have a TATA SKY HD+ Set up.
                  MY RMN is [protected]

                  I had subscribed for SUPREME SPORTS PACK for 1 Year.

                  Today, all of a Sudden, their INDIA CRICKET PACK is not showing up.
                  I called up Customer Care, and their representative MR. SARWAN SINGH says that the channel was never a part of my package. And he says that I might be lying that the Channel used to come earlier.

                  It is not the question of Rs. 30 per month. But what assurance do I have that they will not Bar other channels at their will next time onwards ???

                  This is not the first time TATA SKY has harassed me.

                  OTHERS : PLEASE DO NOT BUY TATA SKY. Try Continuing with your Cable Operators.

                  TATA SKY representatives are not courteous and try to prove you wrong.

                    Sub : Customer getting cheated by Tata Sky.


                    Hello Sir / Madam,

                    This is to inform that I have been cheated by the Tatasky. While Purchase of new Setupbox.

                    I placed an order to buy one HD plus and 3 HD setup box to be installed at my home to near by authorised dealer of Tatasky.
                    Two people came from Tatasky to install the setup box and charged
                    4860/- for HD plus box
                    2800/- for HD box
                    2800/- for HD box
                    2800/- for Hd box
                    850/- for Recharge... later
                    300/- for recharge ....later
                    2200/- extra for wiring, Later I found out that wiring was included in the installation support from Tatasky.
                    While Purchase they also mentioned that the all channels will be free for 1 month.
                    But After 4 days we came to know that we need to recharge for 900/- again.
                    The installers also robbed all the extra cables in the new box like HDMI cable, AV cables, Component cable which came along with the box as original cables.

                    I believe Tata company is the name of trust when we choose Tata products among competition.
                    This kind of cheating with customers is big bad reputation to the company.
                    I suppose this bad reputation spreads faster and keeps long effects in the competition business.
                    As I assume this kind of cheating should not be part of the company's intention.

                    I request the right authorities to look into matter before I further inform other officials, Consumer court, Media and Internet for Justice and spreading awareness for innocents customers.

                    Please do the needful at earliest.

How many times i pay for services which i dont want at all..n no refund is given by company.they always say sorry n cut the charges.
                    Please there is a request to stop these type of cheating from tatasky like reputed company.

                      about 3 months ago i recieved a call from tatasky they told us that there is one month free subscription for active games and do you want to continue it then i refused and till that day they are charging me Rs. 45 per month without any further notice/information.....

                      I have subscribed for Tata Sky in February 2011 , but I have close the subscription for it's BAD service in August 2011 when my semi-annual pack has been over ( By the way in this period I enjoyed only 2 months because of their Set Top Box and i send it 2 times for repair but they give back to me without repair ).

                      But , Last 06/10/2011 they called me that I am a selected costomer who get their Supreme Sports annual pack worth Rs. 2750/- for Just in 1200 Rs. for 1 annum , so I asked their Represntative for the channels in that packages but he told me that you can find it in Tata Sky Packages , so I surf on Tata Sky Packages pack on internet and I Found Supreme Sports Kids Package which is also cost Rs. 2750/- per annum whenever there is no Supreme Sports Pack , So as per a a normal human I thought that this is the same package they told , So i have subscribed for the pack they said but I amaze when I start my Set Top Box that I am unable to view KIDS package so talked to their Care number and asked them about it and also told them that there is no Supreme Sports pack on ur package listing there is just Supreme Sports Kids pack and it's also worth Rs. 2750/- , but as a Pirate they didint agree with me so I told them that i just start your package so please forgive me and cancle my subscription and give me back my amount after this 2 or 3 days deduction , so he told me that it is impossible

                      So , Sir if they call me and I asked them about channels and they have no listing about ther package on their Site then how can they commit me that "You can found it on Tata Sky Package Pack" , and after a wrong commitment when I am asking him that no much time gone after this confusion why they didnt give back me my money and cancel my subscription

                      Sir , I dont mind if I have cost 10000 or 15000 , But if there is any door with which i can stop this type of pirating with customer I am ready to face them in legal procedure

                        My set top box stopped functioning & put a complaint on 18th Feb 2012 towards it. It took 2 weeks for Tata Sky people to correct the same & during this period I have had to contact them countless number of times & speak with several supervisors to get this done.
                        When this was corrected (on March 3rd), I received call from an Executive by the name of Mohmmad ( I dont remember the full name) who called probably from Hyderabad since the STD code started with 040. I asked for warranty papers of the new set up box as per the company's policy. However, I was informed that there is no such formal paper work towards warranty period & it is maintained at Tata Sky's end, in their records. He informed me that the replaced set up box comes with a 90 days warranty & any problems between this period wold be attended to without any costs.
                        However, I was charged for the same on 13th of Mar & had to go through series of complaints & calls to sort this out.

                        Secondly, the replaced set top box conked off in 4 days only. I gave a complaint again on 8th of Mar towards this & had to again screech several times until it got corrected on 18th of Mar.
                        For this, I had spoken with your supervisor Pravin. He, alongwith all the past telecalling executives had confirmed to me that since the set top box had again conked off within 90 days , rather only in 4 days - I will not be charged for this. However, I have received a call from the concerned dept. today stating that they refuse to acknowledge this warranty period.

                        I personally, don't feel that when Tata Sky fixes a problem, it should definitely surface so soon & especially as soon as 4 days. In my opinion, they should have not charged me for this even if they don't have a policy. I am sick & tired of complaints. For the past one month my connection has been active for 4 days only, rest of teh month I have spent in complaints.

                        They really to address their service issues well.
                        I have two Tata Sky Plus connections (1 in Chennai - [protected] and 1 in Hyderabad [protected]). The Chennai connection has been giving me problems since installation with colours getting distorted. Despite several complaints and visits the problem has not been sorted out.

                        Initially they said the problem existed because it was close to a DVD player for which I purchased a new cabinet. Then they said the problem was due to the cable connecting the TV which i changed. Then they said the problem was with the TV. I now have a Sony Bravia Full High Definition LCD TV. I requested them to change the box as I suspect it is faulty but this has not been done. Since I do not live in Chennai (my mother does) I am unable to follow this closely and she has been suffering the poor Tata Sky Plus service for a very long time.

                        They are now again insisting that I pay charges for the visit despite the problem persisting since installation. This is absolutely unacceptable to me. I have spent a lot of money on this connection, suffered an indifferent Tata Sky service (who talk to me as though they are doing me a favour) and am not prepared to spend one more rupee on this.

                        This happened last month and is happening again now.
                        Hi Mr.Arun,
                        As I understand out of your two connection (1 in Chennai - [protected] and 1 in Hyderabad [protected]) there has been visit to your chennai location the STB connection which you are facing problem with. As you are not facing problems with the connection in Hyderabad the place where you live there could be a possibility of the Chennai digicomp being faulty or due to external factor as mentioned cable problem, keeping it close to the DVD as its magnetism of the DVD may affect the STB or even by chance the TV. Tata Sky can send a technician (visit charged) on the approval of the subscriber. In case you are in warranty hardware charges will not be incurred however technicians visit is always charged. Out of warranty will also be charged. It seems you have not faced problem with the digicomp in Hyderabad in my advise you should once personally visit the chennai location and get all your queries solved and also resolve the issue in a better manner.
                        I had purchased a Tata Sky connection in 2009. I again purchased an add-on connection three months back. The add-on connection was showing no signal on 19th sep 2011. I registered the complaint on 20th Sep with Tata Sky. Their Electritian visited on 20th and told that the Digicomp had gone bad and would be replaced by 21st. I waited but neither anybody came, nor did I receive any call from Tata Sky. I called Tata Sky Help line at 8.00 PM and was informed that my complaint will be resolved by 23rd. Again I called Tata Sky on 22nd Sep. I was surprised to hear that my complaint would be now resolved by 24th as they did not have any Digi comp which they can replace. Really surprising. Isnt’ it. When I talked to their senior executive, He assured me that he will try his best and resolve the complaint by 23rd itself. Again when I called them today, i.e. on 23rd, I was surprised to hear that I have got a new date for resolution of my complaint- i.e. 25th Sep. Again, I enquired from their senior executive Ms Pratima whether this time they were firm on their date or is it a delaying tactics. She asked me to wait for sometime and then told me that my complaint cannot be resolved before 26th as they did not have any Digicomp. What a shame for Tata Sky. When I asked for a new connection, It was installed within 2 hours of my ordering. And now, when it has gone bad, they do not have any spare Digi comp.                           In December we ordered tata sky hd+. Due to concealed wiring problem they could not fix it . In march we called them n asked what happened ? They said as the work could not b done we have policy to cancel the request n return the money back and when we checked nothing was refunded . On 7 march they called us n sId our billing people will contact u . No one called us. Then on 8 march we told them we don't want refund pls give us the box again they it is refunded there were no call from their side we were calling them regularly for the box and they agreed 11/2 week back and today when we called them to inquire they told us that they refunded our money back 3 days before ( which we will come to know in our month end statement) and if we want the box we need to pay the increased prices for box n installation

                            Dear Sir,

                            This has ref. to thr trailing mail and yr subsequent call from yr tel no.[protected] on 10.03.12 where you had commited to send a good engineer along with a new set top box as replacement of the faulty one.

                            Today one yr technicians visited my residence and replaced the faluty set top bix with an old model/ugly looking repaired set top box with a promise that he has to execute the orders of his service centre and the new set top box shall be replaced as & when it's received from the company.

                            When I reached home in the evening I was very much disappointed to see the old model repaired set top box.

                            In fact today itself I got installed one more new connection of Tata Sky as replacement of Dish TV in my friend's house whose cell no. is [protected] registered in yr records.

                            Finally I wish to clarify you that in no case I am going to accept this older set to box.I want to have a new set top box only otherwise I shall be constrained to follow the legal procedure for the same.

                            Yr guys are very smart;immediately after installing the older box I got a message from yr call centre informing me closure of the complaint where as you had committed over tel on 10.03.12 to provide a new set top box.


                            Kindly do the needful ASAP for providing a sealed new Set top box and me from further mental stress.

                            TataSky — Useless packages

                            My Subscriber ID No.[protected]. I live in Hyderabad capital of Andhrapradesh. I subscribed for South Starter pack. But Iam not getting all Telugu channels being a resindent of a Telugu State. It is rediculous to avoid some telugu channels in the name of packages. The name South Starter makes the customers that it will provide with all languages of South India. Even a cable operator is providing almost all channels for just Rs.150. But these people luring the people with some channel names and throwing all language channels which we cannot understand.

                              Few Days Ago I received a very horrible customer service from one of your associate.

                              Problem occurs when i ordered a new connection for one of my friend. Everything was going fine, however when the person so called "Pandit Ji Maharaj" came to us to install the connection, everything went wrong.

                              First of all I would like to inform you that he doesn't have the manner to talk to the customer(s). He talked very rudely to us. Secondly I asked him to give us some more wire, he said I can't give you that, even when he had extra wire with him. He gave us duplicate cell for the remote which expires on the second day.

                              I would like to say that right now I am a very very unsatisfied customer. I do have already 2 connections of tata sky. You may get the details using my Moblie numer# [protected]. The address where I recommed my friend to install the Tata Sky is mentioned Below.

                              Tata Sky — VERY BAD SERVICES

                              i called customer care and logged a complaint that my TATA SKY IS NOT WORKING ON 29/10/10...They told that your complaint will be solved by 48hrs....and i also got calls from tata sky enginner that they are cuming....i got calls three times in 2 days...but they didnt came...then i agained call customer care on dt:02/11/10 that no one has came yet...they told me that engineer will be there by 4.00pm to your place..but they didnt came.then i again called customer care that no one has came same day by 6.40pm... then also they said the same that sumone will cum....but still no one has came to solve the problem...
                              TATA SKY IS HAVING VERY VERY BAD SERVICES..AN THEY ARE FOOLING THERE CLIENTS.

                                I have purchased a cable set top box of Tata Sky of Rs. 1500.
                                The shop keeper said me that you will get 1 month free without any recharge and if you want to watch all channels you have recharge of Rs. 100 more which I did. Means I have paid Rs. 1600. But after installation i didn’t see all channels. Today after 2 days my services are blocked & they are telling me to recharge again of Rs. 175.
                                Please solve my Problem.

                                  I purchased TAT SKY HD set top box with annual supreme sports kids pack after seeing their offer on their website www.tatasky.com in Rs.4790 by credit card (online/helpline) on 21/02/2012 .

                                  (1) On the website of TATA SKY there is scheme that with purchase of "TAT SKY HD set top box and annual supreme sports kids pack" customer will get four showcase movies and gift vouchers worth Rs.1000/-, but now after purchase of the product, TATA SKY representative says that you are not a valid purchaser for that scheme. They literally cheat with me.

                                  (2) As described in above complaint (1) I had paid the advance for uninterrupted annual service of supreme sports kids pack on 21/02/2012 by credit card, but within three days TATA Sky had deactivated my service without any intimation for the reason that Rs. 100 for extra cable which I have to paid.
                                  My point is that when I have paid advance for uninterrupted annual service of supreme sports kids pack on 21/02/2012 by credit card than how TATA Sky can deactivate my service for the cable payment? How they can co-relate the service provided by them and Hardware payment? They could have debit Rs.100 from my account balance or before deactivate the service they could have call me!!!!

                                  (3) For above two matters I had frequently requested and complained to the TATA SKY executives by telephonic talk as well as by email but they are not giving any authentic answer and they says “please leave/ forget of four showcase movies and gift vouchers worth Rs.1000, we cannot do anything in the matter”.

                                  I request you to please help me for the above matter as TATA SKY have literally cheat with me for the product shown at the time of purchase on their web-site and for very poor response of their representatives.

                                  Tata Sky — DTH Product Offering

                                  DTH is ripping off the customer. They offer only a bouquet of channels and their Ala-Carte is very conditional.

                                  For example if I want to subscribe for Zee TV alone I cannot do it, I have to get a package of Zee Cinema, Zee Trends etc This is not only unfair but also forced upon you, as a consumer you never have choice. So that is for a package deal.

                                  Now coming to thier Ala-Carte channels for example if I subscribe for Neo Cricket (I have to also subscribef or Neo Sports), then we have the situation where I cannot subscribe the Ala-Carte for a month alone if I want to but will have to subscribe it for 3 months (90 days) so irrespective of If I have any games to watch on Neo Cricket for the 2nd and 3rd Month they will charge you and you cannot remove it.

                                  So Ala-Carte is like even if the food is over in front of you, you are required to sit their for more time and pay for the time that you sit in front of the empty plate.

                                  This is day light robbery and something has to be done by the required regulatory authority!!

                                    I have a Tata Sky Connection with ID No. [protected]

                                    There was a Scheme announced that in case of order for Tata Sky HD Plus Plus is submitted before 31st Oct. 2011 there will be cash back of Rs. 2000 in my Tatasky Account.

                                    I made purchase online on 29th Oct. 2011 and my Citi Bank Card has a debit on the same date. After purchase I went on Tatasky Customercare via Telephone and the agent replied that there is some technical error in receiving your credit so wait for 2 days the moment we will receive amount from Citi Bank we will intimate you and install TataSky++ at your residence. After 3 days a person came and installed new instrument and he said you will get the offer in your tatasky account in a weeks time.

                                    There was no credit given to us. when I made a complain at the customercare of TATA Sky, They denied that I am not eligible and they have checked there records. How can this be possible that any body can come and install an instrument without any payment to him.

                                    I am submitting my Credit Card Statement stating the date of purchase.

                                    Kindly check the matter and get me my legitimate claim.

                                    The voucher details have not been delivered as yet on 12FEB2007 even after repeated followup

                                    I purchased tatasky unit on Aug 25th, 2009. The details are as under:

                                    I have not received tata sky unit/any call (information) till date. I am sorry to mention that this behavior was not expected. I did called their help line five times and talked to them (each time I had to wait for more than 20 minutes keeping my phone hold and thus increasing my phone bill). In addition. I was told that I would be receiving tata sky unit next day (every one lied and provided wrong information - thus misguided me). I request you to kindly help e in canceling my purchase order and deposit back debited amount in my bank immediately. No customer like this sort of mental harassment and fooling up. This is an unethical business practice.

                                    Tata sky does not delay its delivery period, you seem to be unfortunate.
                                    Tata Sky has a very quick and efficient installation process. I suggest that you talk to other people who have installed tata sky. Most people I know of, have had their TS installed the very next day. I suspect there must have been some issue somewhere. I suggest that you use Tata sky first and then see how good it is. I am sure you will enjoy it.

                                        I have 3 connections of tata sky.
                                        I wanted to get one of the connection suspended for some time as my home is under renovation.
                                        I lodged a reguest for the same on 01/03/12.
                                        It was told to me that the problem will be resolved within 24 hour, It was explained tome that somebody will follow up to resolve the issue .
                                        One Mr. Rajshekhar Jujhari called up from Hyerabad (STD code +40) at 6.10pm on 03/03/12 and was adamant on disconnecting my HD+ connection. I categorically told him not to touch my HD+ connection as he was not ready to listen to the problem.
                                        He purposely with a sole intention to harass me disconnected my HD+ connection which I had to get restored later from customer care. All conversation is on record and can be checked.
                                        Mr. Rajshekhar called up again at 9.39 am of 04/03/12 and was not into the mode of listening the issue. He was adamant to do things his way.I had no option but to disconnect call without getting my problem resolved because the attitude and arrogance of this person.
                                        I hope somebody will listen the pathetic situation of customer in this country.
