Big farce by Tata sky in term of India cricket pack – new customers beware.

Probably due to popularity of cricket in India the channels kept adding different channels for cricket so finally I subscribed to India-cricket pack on tatasky which promised to air any channel which is showing cricket of india.

Now the tatasky is not showing the current champions league cricket on this package and has not even bothered to reply appropriately to my query SR[protected] & SR[protected] with the last query being closed without even talking or giving any clarification to me.

So new customers please stay away from tatasky.

    Iam a Tata Sky ( DTH ) customer Since 03 october 2006. from the begining there was 8 malayalam channels. after a period of time they droped 1 channel ( india vision ) and the from 21st september 2011 again they dropped 2 more malayalam channel ( Amirta TV & DD1 malayalam ) at present only 5 malayalam chanells are available on Tata sky ( where other DTH services are providing more than 14 malayalam channels). even after several calls to customer care so far the’ve not done anything regarding my complaint . (So far I paid more than Rs.18000. as monthly charge etc). curent balance in my account is Rs.725.upto april 2012) so i would like to discontinue this service and get my money back if my problem is not look forward to.

    I am at Chennai and a TataSky customer for nearly 5 years.
    It is a bit disappointing to know that TataSky dropped DD Mal and Amrita. I have emailed TataSky on:
    - that the number of Malayalam channels are now reduced to 5, where as other regional channels are much more
    - I haven't got any kind of intimation on dropping the channels

    They called up me and told that they might review their decision. And offered me that, they don't have any plans to cut any further channels. If at all they do, that will be intimated in advance.
    After 2 hrs of this call, I found that Kairali channel also been dropped. What a scene.

    They are not giving any good reason for doing this. Also, not adding any new Malayalam channels.

    Bit frustrated with this attitude.

    Looking for an alternative now.

    If they dont restore the discontinued 3 malayalam channels immediately ( Amirta TV, DD1 Malayalam & Kairali ) better stop this service. better buy another DTH iam going to do that.

    Tata Sky is resorting to cheating and there are many more complaints like these being faced by many. Government should appoint an arbitrator to look into these unreasonable marketing tactics being adopted by companies - ( unable to believe the Tata can adopt to such unhealthy practice )

    I am also very disappointed with this. Even Tata Sky says they have the right to add or drop any channels, the do charge for adding channels. But I don't think they do minus any charges for removing the channel. Now I think Tata Sky is not the right choice for the malayali viewers. and unfortunately in "INDIA" this normally happens to the people of KERALA. most of the time under privilaged. I dont know when this attitude is going to change. :(
    Govt should introduce MNP (mobile number protablty) like policy. So that customer can change service providers with out changing digicomb . Most of the customer already invested their money to digicomb thats the reason they are not changing service providers. Once this system comes, tata sky will loose its customers and revenue.

    dear friends please complain to the tata sky every day by email or phone. and also they supose should not cut DD1 malayalam channel (as per india goverment rules ) what i had that they are going to restore all the malayalam chanele with in weeks they are working for it. so please continue complain.

    None of these explanations are valid for this action on Tata Sky's part. Here are the reasons and you will know how illogical your arguments are and how other DTH operators are handling this much better than Tata Sky.

    You mentioned about viewing pattern and preference of people. I see it can change, but tata sky should know how to cater to balance this. Is it justified to reduce Malayalam channels from 8 to 4 over a period of 3-4 years where as you are increasing other regional languages? Most of your competitors (like Airtel, Big TV, SUN, Videocon) have 10 or more Malayalam channels. I simply don't understand your logic of taste and preference and Tata Sky is not the only one catering to variety of viewers.

    Tata Sky is not the only channel to have HD channels, nor the first one as well. I'm not sure why Tata Sky has to mention about HD here and trying to justify removal of Malayalam channels. How is the other providers giving HD content and a providing variety of options as well? BTW, 7 asli HD channel is false claim. In fact I got trapped with your HD marketing and I lost my favourite channels.

    I don't get the logic of removing three malayalam channels in the last few weeks and introducing other regional channels. Why don't you remove couple least watched channels in the same regional language and add more if required instead of penalizing only malayalam viewers?

    Bottom line is that you don't have bandwidth as you are using old technology and you are penalizing customers for no mistake of theirs. I request you to restore Malayalam channels. Please have balance approach for regional language channels. Most of the main regional languages have 10 or more channels, where as Malayalam channels have gone down from 8 to 4. Again, all your competitors have more than 10 malayalam channels and they seems to catering to the same India audience who has taste and preference !

    Please stop providing standard answers and get the act together to resolve it.

    I request all my tata sky friends please stop using the tata sky and send the set top box antina etc to their head office. or all we make a complaint to the consumer court.

    Tata Sky — Not respond your customer care

    My Tata Sky DTS is closed, I'm talking about the last three days, Tata Sky Customer Care, I have not received a reply, but never satisfied, Tata Sky will soon be my turn to be moderate request.

    Can't view kannada channels

    Our kannada channels are not telecasting since 2weeks, and your telecallers are nt responding.. and they are just giving ah fake promises tht evrythng will b normal frm past 15days. will you telecast Or shud we complait yk consumer care

    To stop the HD channels

    Despite of my complaints, TATA SKY HD channels are provided in my TV and charged extra for that.Customer Care should help us but they don't even pickup the calls. Please do something. Sub.ID:-[protected]

    All channels are not in operation

    I was trying to make call on toll free No. it was continuously busy for an Hr. My all channels are not in operation. Also to register complaint I tried to SMS 'NS' on 56633, there is always messages failure.

    No signal.

    Today Whole day, the tatasky service has stopped T.V.shows NO Signal. Since last 4 to 5 hours, help line[protected] has also been non responsive/Not available. Request restoration of service at the earliest.

    Regional Telugu channels not shown

    My Subscription ID NO-[protected], last one and half month regional Telugu Channels Not seen properly, so many times i have call your customer care but no any response, so please look into this problem and kindly solve it.

      i was purchased a new connection of tata sky. but after 2 or 3 days his remot is not owork. i feel that battery is low so that is not work i was changed the battery but same that no work . so i complained in customer care of tata sky on[protected]. butat till date i cant received the remote. i call there so many times but reply that they delivered next day at 10 a.m .last call me from theit side taht deleiver me on sunday but not delivered. so i call toaday but they say again me for tuesday.

        SUDDENDLY AMRITATV IS DROPPED FROM TATASKY. WE PURCHASED TATASKY MAINLY FOR THIS AMRITATV. NOW, ON SEPT MONTH IS AMMA'S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION IS ON 26TH SEPT AND WE FEEL TATASKY BETRAYED ALL THE CRORES OF AMMA'S DEVOTEES ACROSS THE GLOBE.
        WE RECENTLY UPGRADED TO TATASKY+ TO RECORD SOME IMPORTANT ISSUES.
        EVEN IF TATASKY RESUMES THIS SERVICE OF ADDING AMRITATV LATER, WE STILL FEEL THAT 26TH SEPT AMMA'S BIRTHDAY PROGRAMME WILL BE MISSED AND FEEL BETRAYED BY TATASKY.

        We are also facing the same problem.Being devotees of Amma, main reason for opting Tata sky was Amrita tv package in it.Kindly request the concerned authorities to revert the telecast of Amrita tv asap.
        TATASKY - PLEASE RESTART AMRITATV AGAIN & DO NOT DROP IT IN FUTURE ALSO.

          Hi,

          I installed my Tata Sky in 2006. In these 5 years I came across problems many times and all the time after a heated argument with customer supports it gets resolve. This time once again the transmission get cut off for 15 days as I thought due to heavy rains in Mumbai might be the problems with the signal but as the problem continued I tried to call the customer care of Tata sky. After lot of discussion and pressure they ensure me to take action and deputed their engineers to my home. I am staying in an apartment at CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai. I shifted to this apartment few months back and that time the engineer who came for installation of Tata sky at my home, told me that we have a multi use disk fitted at the roof of our apartment and no need to use the disk I was carrying with me.

          This time when the engineer came for the trouble shooting found that there was a problem in a switch at a junction box fitted for the multiple use. He changed the switch and the transmission at my home was resorted. Next time when I switched on the Tata Sky found there was a deduction and mentioned towards relocation. I called the customer care and once again tried to clarify the malfunctioning of the switch was not my problem but it is problem due to the poor service support. So Tata Sky should not charge me. But it was told to me that whenever I call to customer care for complains it will be chargeable even if it is not related to my personal connection.

          I feel it is completely a non professional way of dealing with the customers and also it looks like Tata Sky customer support as well as Service support team feels they carry out the terms as per their flexibility.

          I tried to reach some senior personal in Tata Sky but no details were provided to me. I hope this will be read by someone in Tata Sky and same kind of charges shall not be applied to the customers in future.

            I have a Tata SKY DTH connection at home. I am a keralite and prefer to watch malayalam regional channels more, best way to keep connect with home land. However recently Tata SKY has remove 2 of the most viewed malayalam channels with no intimations to the customers.

            On calling up to the customer care, I got a lethargic reply that due to less viewer ship the channels have been removed. There will be no new channels addition and the cost (which was already deducted from account for 6 months) would remain the same.

            Its really painful and feel cheated after this incident. Now its up to the DTH companies to decide on which all channels the customers should view and how to maximize companies profit.

            To all DTH users who are planning to buy tata sky, my sincere advice from my experience is "Never Buy Tata SKY DTH connection".

            I also felt cheated on this issue. It was one of the channels which showcased our culture and a lot of programs on spirituality.

            I dint went thru any survey to get off Amrita channel which is one of the best of the Malayalam Channels

            Tata Sky — REMOVAL OF AMRITA & DD(MAL)

            I have been availing Grand sports pack with Tamil and Malayalam optional packs. The optional pack I I had opted contained ,int er -alia,both Amrita& and DD Malayalam channels.Since 20/09/2011 these 2 channels have been removed from the content in aunilateral way.Among the different DTH operators ,it seems, TATASKY is offering minimum no. of channels at higher cost. Beware the even the existing channels can be taken out with out any consumer consent any day.And for the service not recived you havlsoe a to pay for.Prospective customers, BEWARE.
            Me too have Tatasky connection. I am thinking to change to some other DTH provider who can provide more malayalam channels. Tata sky is costly too
            I totally agree with this complaint. I had bought tata sky so that I could get all the bouqet of channels of Malayalam which the cable TV people were not showing. Now I am left with what the cable guys used to provide...so whats the use of migrating to DTH? I should have been contend with what the cable guy was providing for cheaper rent.

            I FEEL VERY MUCH CHEATED AT THE HANDS OF TATA SKY.

            We would like to inform you that with effect from Wednesday 21 Sep, 2011, we are not airing Amrita and DD Malayalam.
            Thank you for your patronage. Your feedback is very valuable & this letter addresses the point you have raised.
            Our large national audience is bound to have diverse viewing patterns because it is 5 million strong, you can imagine that tastes and preferences differ across the country! And our endeavor is to satisfy people in every part of India.
            At launch, Tata Sky offered just 60 channels, but in the last 3 years, that count has gone up to thrice as much. Today, Tata Sky offers 191 channels & services - each one of these channels has been picked based on its viewership & popularity. Unique interactive services have been specially designed for your whole family.
            High Definition (HD) TV is the current technology wave in the TV industry today. This digital broadcasting system with higher resolution and enhanced picture and sound quality in comparison to a regular television service also consumes more bandwidth. Tata Sky has over the period of a year launched 7 asli HD (shot and broadcast in HD) channels, in keeping with today s viewing patterns.
            We have tried to ensure that we have an offering for every region & every language but we also are limited by bandwidth availability. Over time, our endeavor will be to try & reintroduce all the channels that you would like to watch.

            Thanks for you posting regarding TATA SKY, I am also from Kerala, I was about to buy TATA SKY for my new flat. I just searched in the net for the feed back regarding TATA SKY, and I got you posting. So I am lucky not to buy Tata Sky. I can save my money, Currently I have Reliance Big TV connection, I planned to swith over to TATA SKY because intruption in service at rain. Apart from that they are excellent, they will provide 7 Malayalam channels including Amritha and Dooradharshan. So now I changed my mind set continue with Reliance

            At the mean time you can approach concerned authority for getting compensation from TATA SKY for not providing service and dis continuation of the service with out informing the customers

            Any way thanks for ur update and my request TO OTHERS PLEASE DON'T BUY TATA SKY
            Tatasky service is a blot on the name of the TATA group!
            Tata Sky sucks. They need to be reigned by TRAI. I agree that TATA sky is spoiling the TATA brand value.

            I have raised multiple queries on the My Tata Sky section but the query disappears without resolution.

              My Account number is [protected]. I bought a Tatasky+ (account number [protected]) and was not using the first connection .

              For Account Number [protected].

              I was asked to pay 1200/- in June for a package of 1 year and a negative balance of Rs 31.

              I had to replace the adapter of the box and was told that it is free.

              After paying Rs. 1231/- in June my connection was restored and I started using the connection.

              Today my connection is disconnected due to no balance. I am told that the cost of the adapter was Rs 250/- my package was converted to 250/- per month and my current package is @250/- per month.

              I believe that I have been cheated. I was never told that the cost of adapter was Rs 250/- it was quietly deducted from ,my account and I was pushed into Rs 250/- per month from Rs 100/- per month. (Which I am ready to pay even now).

              I was told that some one would get in touch with me in 24hours and I am waiting for a call.

              This is a great idea of luring a customer to pay 1200/- for the year and then converting it into 3000/- per year.

              In case this is not resolved I am forwarding it to Consumer Court. With all expenses to your account.

                Hi Ms ANNA SAHU,
                As I understand you are facing no signal problem and it is not exactly identified as to why this problem has occured. You have tried to contact CC and they have assorted and given two days time period to set it up. As there is no remote access to setup your dish connectivity it has to be manually done for which a technician can look into the matter closely. I would suggest to gain knowledge from the customer care as to how will they set it up remotely. There could be a misunderstanding of no signal problem with some other hence they gave two days time period to set it up. Probe and get the cause of issue only then allot a technician. The customercare will do so fo furthur assistance.

                  I have taken a connection of Tatasky satellite connection from last about five years My ID No- is [protected] On dt.10/9/2011 at 18.36hrs.I registered a complain No-1-[protected] regarding not working of setup box On the next day i.e. on 11/9/2011 at 13.45hrs. the representative of Tatasky i.e. engineer visited & told that the setup box is to be changed asking to change on the same he replied that due to shortage of box it will be replaced on 15/9/2011. I had also remindered regular via email from 12/9 to 17/9 and but after the date went the Tatasky associate from customer care told that the box will be changed on 20/9/2011 between 20.00 to 20.45 hrs. but the company failed to fulfill the commitment and on 20/9/2011 at night the executive of Tatasky Mr. Tushar ring on my registered Mob. No-[protected] from No-[protected] and assured that the complain will be given priority and on 21/9/2011 at 18.30 hrs the representative came and changed the box.As per Tatasky the complain is resolved within 24 to 48 hrs. as per rules.
                  We were without touch from world and mentally disturbed without entertainment for 11 days as the complain was not attended.

                    TATA SKY discontinued two malayalam channels

                    Amrita TV
                    DD Malayalam

                    The complaint
                    1. They send SO MANY RIDICULOUS messages via their set top box ... they didnt inform.
                    2. They didnt inform even while receiving subscription fees
                    3. The customer care (worse people who just know to say - Sir please keeping on hold ....etc) --- do not have a clue as to why these channels are discontinued ... or whether new channels will be added etc

                    Yet another proof that ANYTHING HAPPENS and CONSUMER will take everything

                    NOT ME :: By this month end We will discontinue the TATA SKY and take SUN DTH (a good competitor in south indian channels) or atleast take cable TV.
                    We will NEVER TAKE A TATA PRODUCT AGAIN ..........
                    Yes, it is ridiculous of Tata Sky to remove channels without informing the subscribers while they send all sort of stupid messages via their set top box every other day. If they are taking out these channels, I am going to switch to another DTH or local cable provider.

                      Hi,

                      My Tata Sky subscription id is [protected].

                      I raised a call with Tata Sky on 16-Sep-2011 (SR[protected], but I am unable to see any status against the call when I login to my online Tata Sky account, leave alone the status, I am unable to see the call itself....

                      I have many complaints regarding my Tata Sky account, but I am NOT getting an appropriate response for any of my complaints from any of your customer care representatives, whom I interacted till date. Let me brief what happened so far and then list down my queries / complaints...

                      Brief:
                      1. I have recharged my Tata Sky account on 31-May-2011 with Rs. 5,500/- for an annual package (all channels, except Showcase movies).
                      2. I requested for an additional Tata Sky connection on 07-Sep-2011 and I think I got the connection in a couple of days, but there has been lose connection issues on the additional connection. I contacted the customer service a couple of times to get the lose connection issue sorted out, but it has not been corrected so far.... For this additional connection I made a payment of Rs. 1000/- to the engineer, who installed the connection.
                      3. I received an sms on 13-Sep-2011, stating my account balance is Rs. 93/- and the due date is 30-Sep-2011.
                      4. When I spoke to the customer care representatives, they said my balance is Rs. 251/- and the due date is Mar-2012 (don't remember the exact date) and none of them are able to provide a detailed explanation to my below queries / complaints.

                      My Queries / Complaints:
                      1. Why is my package shown as 'Semi Annual Mega Lite Pack' whereas I opted for the complete package?
                      2. Why is Rs. 3000/- deducted from my account on 13-Sep-2011?
                      3. Why is my current balance is only Rs. 251/-, whereas I paid Rs. 5,500/- on just 3 & 1/2 months back?
                      4. Why is my due date shown in the system as 07-Nov-2011? When is my next actual renewal date?

                      I simply want to have an yearly subscription with all channels, what do I need to do for the same?

                      Awaiting an earliest response.

                          I am a Tata Sky set top box user for 6 months now. The monsoon season has been my worst experience with the Tata Sky connection. With the slightest of rain or wind the connection gets lost and keeps coming and going intermittently. Moreover the range of channels on tata sky is very poor when compared to regular cable even. I have decided to stop using Tata Sky, but what do I do with the Dish and STB since I have paid close to Rs 3000 to install it. All down the drain I suppose. I would like to write a complaint about Tata Skys reluctance to allow consumers to RESELL the Tata Sky box after a minimum period, eg: 60 months to other users which will reduce the installation charge for someone else. I am okay if I get atleast half of the money back but having a policy to not allow anyone to resell and change of ownership smells of a scam!

                            Recently due to relocation of the “Set Top Box”, I have not been able to view any services with the message “NO SIGNAL”.

                            Therefore on 06.09.2011, I have registered complaint on My Tata Sky with the following details:-

                            On 06.09.2011 (afternoon), I have called the Tata Sky Helpline and explained the situation but the customer service executive (Female) has assured to attend the problem in 2 hours. I have then clearly mentioned that my “RMN” (Registered Mobile No) is not available and they have to contact my residence no.

                            As the problem was not attended, on 07.09.2011 (evening) I have called the the Tata Sky Helpline customer service executive (Female) and inquired as to why the problem has not been attended and they came out that my “RMN” (Registered Mobile No) is not available. I again explained that please contact my residence number which I had already communicated in my first call. Again I was assured that the complaint will be attended at the earliest possible.


                            As the problem is still not resolved, today on 08.09.2011 I have called to the customer service executive (Male) and he has informed that the Technicians were supposed to visit my residence at 1600 hrs to 1645hrs.But I have explained that there has been no visit. So he has made his Supervisor Mr.Karan to talk to me.Who has assured me to attend the problem by tomorrow Morning.

                            Again as the problem was not resolved I have tlaked to numerous customer care executives and there supervisor who have only assured to take action but with no output.
                            On 09.09.2011 when I called up again from 1600 hrs to 1900hrs due to there internal system upgradation no body was able to give any update and finally when I got a chance to speak to a supervisor Ms.KAVITA I was again given asurance to resolve the problem but the problem hs not been resolved.

                            I am surprised to this lethargic attitude by a reputed name like TATA SKY and am very unhappy and annoyed by such kind of service.

                            This bad experience is surely going to remain and will change my further decision in continuing, opting a secondary service from the rival of Tata Sky.

                            I have tried to call to the nodal officer[protected] but no body answered the call at 1800hrs.


                            I CONCLUDE THAT TATA SKY SERVICES ARE THE WORST. A VERY LETHARGIC APPROACH TOWARDS CONSUMERS AND EVEN THE NODAL OFFICERS ARE INEFFECTIVE IN RESOLVING THE PROBLEMS .TATA SERVICES HAVE A ROUGH TIME AHEAD WITH TIS APPORACH.

                                This is to inform you that I am a Customer of Tata Sky since last 5 Years. My ID No. is [protected]. Request you to cancel my connection ASAP. Also I would like to inform you that due to extremely cold behavior & Non Cooperation of your Staff as well as Agency Staff and poor service I am forced to take a decision to get my connection cancelled.

                                Following are the highlights of sequence of activities that happened:


                                My Tata sky connection is not working since last 5 days. I has made a written complaint on Friday 2nd Sept,2011. Reference No. 1-[protected] was allotted. It took two days for your Engineer to attend the complaint. Mr. Arun Kumar (Engineer from M/s. Sai Electricals) visited my place on Sunday 4th Sept,2011. He told that Digi Box would be changed for which Rs. 350/- would be charged. He changed the Box. however, he could not solved the problem and left saying that he would return next day.

                                Yesterday evening I got a call from Tata Sky and I told them the status that problem has not been solved and they assured that problem will be rectified next day. Reference No. was 1-[protected].

                                Today, to my surprise Engineer didn't turn up. I called up Sai Electricals 2-3 times. A lady picked up the phone and she was not aware of the problem. She kept on hold the phone for almost 15 minutes and then told me that she would send the Engineer. By afternoon, when there was no visit I called up again and I was told that Engineer would visit next day. I asked her to connect to the Owner Mr. Naresh Arora, which she didn't and express her inability to transfer call to the owner.

                                I wrote another email to Tata Sky today mentioning that my complaint has not been solved. Reference no. 1-[protected]. However, no one visited.


                                Thereafter, in afternoon I called up helpline No. [protected] and spoke to Mr. Imran, who told me that he would forward the compliant to concerned Regional Executive and told me that I would get a call in next 30 minutes and gave me the assurance that problem will be solved by 6 in the evening.

                                At 6.30 I got a call from Tata Sky mentioning that the Engineer would visit tomorrow. Reference No. 1-[protected]. On questioning the concerned person told me that he has received complaint today only and that it could be solved next day only. The guy wasn't aware of the fact that original complaint was made on Friday.

                                There after, I again called up helpline No. [protected] and spoke to Mr. Shashi as well as Mr. Harsh Mehta at 19.00 hours and they also expressed their helplessness and told me that Engineer would visit tomorrow only. when I told them that he was supposed to visit today, their reply was that you got a call from Tata sky at 6.30 in evening and was informed that engineer would visit tomorrow.

                                An esteemed Customer like me has to suffer because of inefficiencies of your staff. I am not getting your services for free. I pay for it, inspite of that when there is a problem its been 4 days and complaint not properly attended. Helpline Staff is very arrogant, rigid and not at all apologetic. Agency Staff is totally in capable and non cooperative. In spite of that when I asked them to cancel the connection, they said ok we will register your request.

                                Repeated complaints through emails and spending hundered of rupees in STD calls to helpline, however no response and extremely poor service.


                                Above mentioned email has been written so that it reaches the highest level of Management and necessary corrective actions are taken, otherwise Company would loose lot of its esteemed Customers to Competition.

                                  I as esteem customer of tata sky dth services since more than last 5 years.my customer id is [protected] i made a complaint regarding blue/green screen coming and set up box gets restart and after their instruction new msg appears like"This is not the right digicard for your digicomp error no:14.I put up my query under my login to tata sky on 19/8/11 and had a chat almosrt daily on this issue and they had given daily false promises they within 24 hrs. enginner will visit.now really i fed up with this people and services.If they are not in position to serve they could have strraight way said that so that i would have gone for another service provider.Kindly resolve the issue and help out me at the earliest.

                                    SINCE THE INSTALLATION OF TATA SKY HD PLUS BOX ABOUT A MONTH BACK I HAVE BEEN COMPLAINING ABOUT SHAKY PICTURE .WHEN THE SAME IS PUT ON COMPOSITE CABLE THE PICTURE IS OK.CUSTOMER CARE SENT ENGINEERS BUT THE JUST SAW THE COMPLAINT AND WENT AWAY. LAST VISIT WAS MADE BY ONE ENGINEER FROM DELHI RITESH WHO DID SOME ADJUSTMENTS BUT OF NO AVAIL. FINALLY HE HAS GIVEN HIS REPORT THAT TV IS FAULTY. I HAVE CONNECTED MY DVD PLAYER THROUGH HDMI CABLE AND IT IS WORKING FINE.

                                      I have been the TATAsky subscriber of nearly 3 years. My ID No: [protected]; my registered mobile No. is [protected]. I have no constant signal through my DTH service for the past one week. When I contacted the service provider last, they said that there was heavy rain in Delhi which is the place of telecasting. As the problem persists constantly again I contacted the service provider who is said to have registed a complaint on 02.09.2011. But till now no one has turned up and retrieved my grievances while the "recharge amount" will be swallowed in the name of DAILY RENT! Is it justice? I experience very poor service of TATAsky while it is so costly for its packages! I strongly advise my friends and relatives not to go for TATAsky in furure. I request the authorities not to deduct "DAILY RENT" from my account until the complaint is redressed. The Hon'ble consumer forum may take action against the service provider for their inaction, irresponsible, lethargic attitudes. I also want to change my DTH owing to very poor service extended by the TATAsky.

                                      inspite of payment of monthly subscription the necessery channels for which payment made are not visible , lot of disturbances. while complaining to customer care call centre , they are insisting for paid visit of service engineer, which i do not accept as i have made payment in advance to tata sky that includes charges for channels and service charge, where none of the channels are visible and i could not enjoy. tatasky should have accountabality towards their service to the customers unlike some more responsible service providers.

                                      Tata Sky — No response to 6 complaints

                                      About half the channels have no signal, many others are patchy, and only the HD channels and a few others are viewable. My first complaint was made to the call centre on 29 June. Since then I have made another 5 complaints including an email to the nodal officer (service request number 1-[protected]). Except for an initial visit after the first complaint when the engineers could not solve the problem (and illegally took visit charges from me even though I am a premium customer and therefore visit charges are not applicable), there is no response or subsequent visit in spite of so many complaints. What is even more shocking is that Tata Sky engineers are lying by logging visits to my residence (according to the call centre operators), when such visits have never taken place! This company has gone down the drain.

                                        DEFECTIVE HD BOX
                                        With great enthusiasm through their Delhi call centre I opted for upgrade of my Tata Sky Plus set box about a month back - they directed over the phone to someone in Bangalore ( Perhaps) who over the phone took details of my credit card and payment of Rs 3999/- was taken. The understanding was that some engineer will visit my site and install HD box and take away Tata Sky Plus set box for Rs 500/-.
                                        Very next day some engineer came with the box, installed the new HD box took away Tata Sky Plus set box. However since then I am making complaint about shaky videos. Five visits have been made- even their expert from delhi one Mr. Ritesh ( Mob No. [protected]) was sent by theier senior Mr. rakesh Sharma( Mob No. [protected]) also found out that HD set box does give Video shaky problem.
                                        I have simply requested them to JUST RE INSTALL EARLIER TATA SKY PLUS SET BOX and what ever is the difference credit it to my rental account.
                                        NO ONE IS LISTENING.THEY DON"T EVEN PICK UP THE PHONE.
                                        I HAVE AGAIN LODGED COMPLAINT TO THEIR CALL CENTRE- BUT NO RESPONSE.

                                        MY ADVICE TO EVERY ONE- PLEASE DONOT GO IN FOR TATA HD SET BOX- THOSE ARE DEFECTIVE.
