I am not getting proper signal for the last 2 months even it rains like sombody sprinking water. My neighbours are watching happily and my family sitting in disgust even my wife is not talking with me because she cannot watch her serials. Tata sky are sending engineers who are incompentent and canot solve the problems. I only get compalint numbers when i speak to them. Sir, i am relly fed up now I request to ask TATASKY to refund the money and take back their set box etc so that I can go for some other operators. I want my refund with penalty charges.

    I am a subscriber of TATASKY since 6-August-2011.

    After a lot of follow-up, I got my connection activated on 6-August-2011. At that time, they mentioned that because of local cable operator issue, for installation they requested me to pick up their technician and the materials from TATASKY dealer office which I did and got it installed. When I enquired about the service, they mentioned that it should not be a problem since they would not be carrying cables or dish or equipment and that they would only be carrying tools. Hence, they could easily come by bike and attend to service problems.

    From 20th August, my TATASKY is not working (There is no signal) and the message says that dish has to checked and signal is not coming. I have registered the complaint. My Work Order Reference Number is: 1-[protected]. Every day, I have been complaining and I keep hearing that within 24 hours, the problem will get resolved but of no use.

    So far I have spoken to atleast 6 people on this. They are saying that they will try to send someone but no one has turned up and no calls from anyone so far. After having paid so much, I am completely disappointed with their service. Their Service Level Agreement talks about service within 24 hours.

    I have written to their Nodal Officer in Karnataka also two days ago. He has not yet read my email also.

    I hope that this forum would help in getting the right kind of service

      My setup box stopped working on 30th july 2011.I registered a complaint with tata sky on the next Monday 1st of august.After continuous telephonic complaints at tata sky complaint center everyday .The setup box was repaired on 12th august ,it stopped working on 15th august and since then i have been complaining then online as well as telephonic everyday twice.Yet there has been no assistance.Please help me.The complaint center executive says it will be replaced within 24 hours but it has not been so.

        am onkar kulkarni from pune. My Tata Sky ID is [protected]. I am using Tata Sky DTH from last 6 months, recently I shifted my home. They have deducted from my account 250 rs as per procedure for reallocation. After that they have deducted extra 500 rs.
        I have called to customer care about this issue, and they just come back by reply that your complaint has been forawrded, and the deducted amount will be credited in your account. Still amount is not credited to my account and my service is deactivated, as there is no balance left in the account. Instead of solviong the issue they are asking me to recharge the account. We are not at all satisfied with the customer care service.

        I would suggest not to use tata sky service,as service is very poor and specially tata sky customer care executives are not having sense how to talk with customers.

          I AM USING TATA SKY DTH SERVICES FOR LAST ONE YEAR. BUT SUDDENLY MY REMOTE STOPPED WORKING. IMMEDIATELY I CALLED TATA SKY HELP LINE, FOR THIS THEY HAVE QUOTED THE PRICE OF RS. 200/- ONLY AND IT WILL BE HAND DELIVERED TO THE HOME. THEN, I HAVE ASKED THEM "IS THERE ANY CHARGE FOR HAND DELIVERINGY AT HOME.", THEY REPLIED " FREE OF CHARGE". I FELT HAPPY. AND WITH IN 24 HRS I GOT THE REMOTE. BUT TO MY SURPRISE, ONLY 75/- GOT DEDUCTED FROM THE ACCOUNT, WHEN I ENQUIRED, THEN THEY HAVE GIVEN BIFURCATION THAT, FOR DELIVERING REMOTE OF RS. 75/- THEY WILL CHARGE RS. 125/- WHICH WAS NOT FARE. SOMEHOW I DIGESTED IT, AND FELT BIT HAPPY AS I CAN WATCH DTH SERVICES AGAIN. THIS DIDNOT WENT LONGER, DUE TO REASON THAT, WITH IN ONE MONTH THE REMOTE GOT SPOILED, AND TATA SKY REPLACED THE REMOTE, AS IT IS UNDER WARRANTY. BUT TO MY SURPRISE AGAIN, THE SECOND REMOTE I RECEIVED IS NOT A NEW ONE. I OBSERVED SO MANY SCRATCHES, AND SOME OF THE LETTERS ON THE REMOTE WERE ERASED. HENCE IT IS OBVIOUSLY UNDERSTOOD THAT THEY HAVE REPLACED IT ALREADY USED REMOTE.

            I regret to inform you that my TATA SKY connection is not receiving signal continuously. There is disruption in programmes. Sometimes it take minutes to get signal and so in that period the connection gets disrupted.

            Kindly make arrangement to check the fault in digicomp which has been provided by the company a day before.
            Either there is problem in output or input connectors.
            If we try to switch to other channel sometimes it take minutes to receive the signal for that channel.
            The Second hand (Junk Set top box )device provided by Tata Sky don’t get signals due to defective boxes provided by TATA SKY.
            Set top box that receive signal and transmit it to Television do not function properly, The Service Engineers come without getting those Junk boxes checked at their premises and install at customer’s place which keep on giving trouble to the customers.
            Why the company provide second hand set top boxes to the customers. There are only two pieces viz one dish antenna and one set top box. The total machinery is connected with only two items and the reputed company like TATA SKY could not provide trouble free service in two parts even.
            Kindly help to fix the problem.

            Your so called service Engineer came to our house. Thrown away the Adaptor and gone away. On our request to check whether the picture is being shown on the TV with Tata Sky box, he did not give ear to our pleadings.

            Kindly intiate the inquiry Whether TATA SKY provide such a miserable service to the customers. Whether it is in the policy of TATA SKY that the customers should be put in lurch and So Called Service Engineers are deputed for not providing Service to customers.
            Whether it is not the duty of the Service Engineer to check whether TATA SKY Set top box is working or not.
            Whether it is due to TATA SKY's bad intention of mischief.
            Whether there is no one in TATA SKY to caution for the misbehaviour and indiscipline of the Service Engineers.
            Whether the customers should be directed to install Adaptor themselves and check themselves by Service Engineers of TATA SKY, whereas no STAND BY arrrangement has been made by TATA SKY.
            Pursuant to the above context I am to inform you that TATA SKY's Service is dilapilated and having multiple lapses on the part of Quality and SERVICE factor, which provide continuous tension to customers by dealing with TATA SKY.
            It is strange how customers are facing hardships on the end of TATA SKY.
            The Disciplinary authorities have no control over their staff.
            No report regarding the complaint is being prepared that is why the Staff is negligent.
            The charges of misconduct or misbehaviour is taken lightly.
            The disciplinary authority don't take note of the record of the enquiry and findings made so far.

            Tata Sky is making day light robbery by providing junk Set top boxes to customers. On enquiry company’s executives tell that we provide the Second hand Set top boxes to the customers. These second hand boxes sold by JUNK DEALER NAMED TATA SKY again get defective within 3-4 months of replacement.



            The novel modus operendi adopted by TATA SKY is that in this way the company charges Rs 125/- for the visit of their Service Engineers (Which they people call them) actually they are not capable to check even the slightest fault of the Set top boxes. Just like Daily unskilled labour those install Dish antenna. And so called multi-billionaire reputed company of India called TATA SKY keep on charging from the customers for their products those are being thrown out by other customers. TATA SKY don’t take trouble to check the DEFECTIVE SET TOP boxes at their place before installing at customer’s place. The so called Service Engineer come to get it installed and make fool of the customers on one pretext or other by saying that “Yeh to chal nahin raha. Iska Adaptor kharab hoga, Iske Set top box mein fault hoga” The Service Engineer themselves predict that they will be fault in some or other part of only two attachments of Set top box.



            The next moment the so called Service Engineer will go away and will promise to get the fault removed within half an hour and you will keep on waiting when the Honourable God will pay His kind visit to your humble home.



            The morality rates of TATA SKY executives can be judged with lip promises only. We are living in the country where all the junk items purchased from China and Developed countries are being provided to customers. But now the novel formula TATA SKY adopted is to provide junk items collected from India and charge from customers on regular basis because those junk products will develop fault in days of installation.



            This company is providing dream cars like TATA NANO to poor people keeping in consideration. Yes it is true. When all the junk products can be sold to the customers then what is the harm to gain reputation of BENEVOLENT PERSON.



            The contribution of Honourable Jamshed Ji Tata in the development of India is remarkable. But we have never thought in dreams that the generations of Honourable TATA will become Junk Dealers and will continuously will make day light robbery to Indian people.



            If still TATA needs more money the alms should be generated in the name of Honourable Jamshedji Tata. The common Indian will certainly donate in the name of Honourable Tata. Our head has bowed with shame that TATA has become JUNK DEALER by SELLING SECOND HAND (JUNK PRODUCTS) TO THE CUSTOMERS THOSE HAVE GREAT FAITH AND BOW THEIR HEAD FOR THEIR CONTRIBUTION OF INDIA.



            From centuries we are hearing that QUALITY PRODUCTS SHOULD BE SOLD. WHY? Because if we sell quality products then the product will last for years and provide trouble free service. The policy that the JUNK PRODUCTS SHOULD BE SOLD. IN THIS WAY TATA WILL GENERATE EMPLOYMENT TO THE UNSKILLED LABOUR AND WILL CHARGE FROM CUSTOMERS TIME AND AGAIN AS SERVICE CHARGES FOR VISITING OF SO CALLED ENGINEERS.



            GARIBI HATAO slogan we are listening from centuries. In this policy of TATA the TATA has formulated that GARIBON KO HATAO in this way by looting to the public they will generate billions and the poor people will die by their own death.

            Subject: Claim in damages for Defective goods ; Consumer already paid price of Digicomp four months back to TATA SKY, Company charge for Sub-standard Defective goods and Service Charges which is illegal and against the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986
            Sir,
            I regret to inform you that On April 21, 2011, I got the Digicomp changed after several representations, and today on August 14, 2011 in less than 4 months of change of Digicomp your Service Engineer tells that the Digicomp is defective and it should be changed.
            Sir 4 months back I have paid charges for the same, previously your service engineer had installed the second hand digicomp with very worst condition which after so many representations had been changed.
            The company is providing such a sub-standard quality products that the consumer keep on waiting for the quality from TATA, the reputation that TATA has earned in so many years.
            Sir, for how much period I keep on suffer from the sub-standard quality products purchased by your company from China, and secondly on complaint providing second hand set top boxes to the customers those get defective within three-months of installation.
            Prayer:
            1. It is being prayed to provide Digicomp free of cost and the charges levied on the consumer regarding Service Engineer's visit should be waived due to the defective goods supplied by TATA SKY.
            2. Stand by Set top box should be provided to the consumer till the New Set top box has not been arranged.
            3. It is due to the negligence of the TATA SKY that the consumer is deprived of the facility to view the channels for which he has paid in advance. In the absence of not providing facility the consumer kindly be compensated for the days the consumer is deprived of viewing the programmes for which he has paid to the company.
            4. The complaint kindly be resolved within 2 days from the lodging of complaint beofe the company.
            5. In the absence of resolving the complaint within the stipulated time period the consumer will be costraint to file the complaint under Section 13 of the provisions of Consumer Protection Act, 1986. Kindly look in to the provisions of Consumer Protection Act, 1986 which are reproduced as under and get the replacement of Defective Set top box without any charge due to the following reasons:
            "(f) "defect" means any fault, imperfection or shortcoming in quality, quantity, potency, purity or standard which is required to be maintained by or under any law for the time being in force or under any contract express or implied or as is claimed by the trader in any manner whatsoever in relation to any goods."

            "(g) "deficiency" means any fault, imperfection, shortcoming or inadequacy in the quality, nature and manner of performance which is required to be maintained by or under any law for the time being in force or has been undertaken to be performed by a person in pursuance of a contract or otherwise in relation to any service;"

            "(nn) "restrictive trade practice" means any trade practice which requires a consumer to buy, hire or avail of any goods or, as the case may be, services as a condition precedent for buying, hiring or availing of other goods or services"

            "(r) "unfair trade practice" means a trade practice which, for the purpose of promoting the sale, use or supply of any goods or for the provision of any service, adopts any unfair method or unfair or deceptive practice including any of the following practices, namely :-

            (1) the practice of making any statement, whether orally or in writing or by visible representation which, -

            (i) falsely represents that the goods are of a particular standard, quality, quantity, grade, composition, style or model;

            (ii) falsely represents that the services are of a particular standard, quality or grade;

            (iii) falsely represents any re-built, second-hand, re-novated, reconditioned or old goods as new goods;

            (iv) represents that the goods or services have sponsorship, approval, performance, characteristics, accessories, uses or benefits which such goods or services do not have;

            (v) represents that the seller or the supplier has a sponsorship or approval or affiliation which such seller or supplier does not have;

            (vi) makes a false or misleading representation concerning the need for, or the usefulness of, any goods or services;

            (vii) gives to the public any warranty or guarantee of the performance, efficacy or length of life of a product or of any goods that is not based on an adequate or proper test thereof; provided that where a defence is raised to the effect that such warranty or guarantee is based on adequate or proper test, the burden of proof of such defence shall lie on the person raising such defence.

            (viii) makes to the public a representation in a form that purports to be -

            (i) a warranty or guarantee of a product or of any goods or services; or

            (ii) a promise to replace, maintain or repair an article or any part thereof or to repeat or continue a service until it has achieved a specified result,

            if such purported warrant or guarantee or promise is materially misleading or if there is no reasonable prospect that such warranty, guarantee or promise will be carried out;

            (ix) materially misleads the public concerning the price at which a product or like products or goods or services, have been or are, ordinarily sold or provided, and, for this purposes, a representation as to price shall be deemed to refer to the price at which the product or goods or services has or have been sold by sellers or provided by suppliers generally in the relevant markets unless it is clearly specified to be the price at which the product has been sold or services have been provided by the person by whom or on whose behalf the representation is made;

            (x) gives false or misleading facts disparaging the goods, services or trade of another person.

            Explanation. - For the purpose of clause (1), a statement that is -

            (a) expressed on an article offered or displayed for sale, or on its wrapper or container; or

            (b) expressed on anything attached to, inserted in, or accompanying an article offered or displayed for sale, or on anything on which the article is mounted for display or sale; or

            (c) contained in or on anything that is sold, sent, delivered, transmitted or in any other manner whatsoever made available to a member of the public,

            Tata Sky promised to replace the Set top Box with new Box. As one week’s time has been taken by the company’s Nodal officer to get the needful. The company’s executive keep on giving false promises that the box will be replaced today.

            Got call from executive from +[protected] on 20/04/2011 at 11:23 A.M. and promised that our Set top box will be replaced with a new box.
            The company’s technician came with the Set top box, the same set top box which has been having the fault ---off and on, i.e. the Power of the Set top box sometimes is on and sometimes off. This problem is from the very first day of the installation of the set top box. With same box the technician came and installed, though before installation my wife pointed out that this is the old set top box and is the same box which the technician has taken with him.
            The company’s technician installed the same set top box and again the same problem that Power is not coming in the box, he declared. Then made various calls to the senior officials of the company and left with taking away the same box.
            Tata Sky is befooling the consumer by installing the SECOND HAND REPAIRED SET TOP BOX AND CHARGED FROM CONSUMER RS 350 + RS 150 = Rs 500/- What other charges Tata Sky levied on the consumers are unnumbered.
            The discretions of Tata Sky to charge from the consumers will be challenged in Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum. The existence of this discretionary powers to deduct from the consumers account is UNFAIR TRADE PRACTICES ADOPTED BY TATA SKY AND PROVIDING AGAIN AND AGAIN THE SECOND HAND AND DEFECTIVE SET TOP BOX AFTER MAKING PROMISES IS AGAIN DEFICIENCY IN SERVICE.
            I was happy to deal with Tata Sky due to the reputation of Sir Ratan Tata but unknowing the bitter consequences of the services and befooling attitude of Tata Sky personnels.
            I have never expected such ruthless, reckless, negligence and breach of trust from the reputed company of Tata’s. Though due to their fault I tried to sort out the problem by making payment. After deducting the amount from my account the company provided financial loss, harassed me and made breach of trust due to its service, due to which the consumer has to get severe stress and mental agony.
            This is very sour experience from Tata Sky.


            Due to the above mentioned circumstances the Consumer has no other alternate than to file the complaint before the Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum.

            Kindly don't dodge consumers. When the consumer has agreed to pay Rs 350/= as per the demand from Tata Sky. Then why Tata Sky is playing gimmicks by installing second hand and repaired digicomp and charge for new one in lieu of replacement.
            As Service Engineer says that Tata Sky don't provide New Digicomp for replacement and so you will have to lodge your request with the consumer care executive. The said digicomp will be supplied from Bangalore/ Mumbai office and it will take more than one month to reach to our destination if it is the quickest response otherwise it may take say more than six months.
            What a great company Tata Sky and What a great After Sales Service?
            If TATA Sky failed to replace my Digicomp within three days i.e. up to 11th of April and refund the money charged from the consumer due to deficiency in Service. Then the consumer will be constrained to file the complaint before the Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, Kapurthala for redressal of grievances and will demand compensation for the mental and physical harassment and deficiency in Service.

The timeline fixed by the Tata Sky has passed by and there is no sight or sound of Tata Sky Technician.

            Poor customer Service A bad name to TATA. Kindly consider the following points:

            It is Tata Sky’s DEFICIENCY IN SERVICE.
            THE COMPLAINT SHOULD BE ENTERTAINED WITHIN THE TIME LIMIT.
            The controlling authority has no control over the Service Engineers.

            RELIEF SOUGHT:

            Kindly refer Section 14(1) in The Consumer Protection Act, 1986, as the consumer is being suffered loss and injury on account of deficiency in rendering of Service by the opposite party, the consumer will claim Rs 1 Lac as compensation due to negligence of opposite party. Kindly provide the following relief to avoid further litigation in the matter.

            1. To replace the Digicomp with New Digicomp with reasonable charges.

            2. To adjust/ refund the amount for the period the service not availed by the consumer even after the expiry of the stipulated time as per your SMS and record.

            3. To return to the complainant the price, or as the case may be the charges paid by the complainant.

            4. To immediately remove the defects or deficiencies in Services in question.

            5. To discontinue the unfair trade practice or the restrictive trade practice and not to repeat the installation of Second hand Digicomp (Repaired Digicomp at consumer’s place)

            Kindly look in to the following factors:

            The Cable from mini dish to digicimp is intact.
            Connections are correctly made.
            No number key is working.
            There is no rain at present. Though I waited for two days that the fault may be due to rain. My
            Sir, my second connection No. 2 on the same Customer I.D. is working. Sir, whether we should keep umbrella ready, that whenever they is rain we should guard the digicomp with umbrella and provide shelter to it or we should keep have the stock of antibiotic and paracetamol because we don't know when the set top box will get sick.

            Kindly make proper arrangement to get the fault fixed.

            Tatasky dish connection — Misconduct by the local dealer

            sir
            i purchased tatasky dish connection on 11/10/08 from national electronics, sakchi, jamshedpur. At the time of purchase dealer told me that if you pay Rs.3000, you will get 132 channel free for next one year( excluding sports channel)
            I opt for the same and after two days dish installed in my house and i found only few channel (52nos.)When i complain the same to the delare he told me that after charging the free coupan of 15 hundred you will get the channel.
            After two days on 15/10/08 status of the channel(no. of channel) was same. I again complain the same to the dealer on 16/10/08, but this time dealer denied about the 132 channel and told me that you will get only 52 channel and also misbehaved with me.
            sir, i am employee of TATASTEEL and in our organisation we follows the ethics and transparency with all sorts of good behaviour with customer.
            The entire incidance hurt me because overall we are from the TATA group of family. This type of thing defame the name of TATA BRAND.
            I request you to take necessary action against him.

            Tata Sky — set top box not proper

            i have called several times for the replacement of set top box , which i bought it 10 days ago , but every time the employees tell me to restart set top box, switch it on , switch it off, or some other new reason . they always say if again you face the same problem , you can call us . i am fed up of their services since the day i bought it . every time i have to call them 5 times to get a problem solved . it just been 10 days and i have been through 3 problems already . even while installation i had a lot of problem .

              Subject: Claim in damages for Defective goods ; Consumer already paid price of Digicomp four months back to TATA SKY, Company charge for Sub-standard Defective goods and Service Charges which is illegal and against the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986
              Sir,
              I regret to inform you that On April 21, 2011, I got the Digicomp changed after several representations, and today on August 14, 2011 in less than 4 months of change of Digicomp your Service Engineer tells that the Digicomp is defective and it should be changed.
              Sir 4 months back I have paid charges for the same, previously your service engineer had installed the second hand digicomp with very worst condition which after so many representations had been changed.
              The company is providing such a sub-standard quality products that the consumer keep on waiting for the quality from TATA, the reputation that TATA has earned in so many years.
              Sir, for how much period I keep on suffer from the sub-standard quality products purchased by your company from China, and secondly on complaint providing second hand set top boxes to the customers those get defective within three-months of installation.
              Prayer:
              1. It is being prayed to provide Digicomp free of cost and the charges levied on the consumer regarding Service Engineer's visit should be waived due to the defective goods supplied by TATA SKY.
              2. Stand by Set top box should be provided to the consumer till the New Set top box has not been arranged.
              3. It is due to the negligence of the TATA SKY that the consumer is deprived of the facility to view the channels for which he has paid in advance. In the absence of not providing facility the consumer kindly be compensated for the days the consumer is deprived of viewing the programmes for which he has paid to the company.
              4. The complaint kindly be resolved within 2 days from the lodging of complaint beofe the company.
              5. In the absence of resolving the complaint within the stipulated time period the consumer will be costraint to file the complaint under Section 13 of the provisions of Consumer Protection Act, 1986. Kindly look in to the provisions of Consumer Protection Act, 1986 which are reproduced as under and get the replacement of Defective Set top box without any charge due to the following reasons:
              "(f) "defect" means any fault, imperfection or shortcoming in quality, quantity, potency, purity or standard which is required to be maintained by or under any law for the time being in force or under any contract express or implied or as is claimed by the trader in any manner whatsoever in relation to any goods."

              "(g) "deficiency" means any fault, imperfection, shortcoming or inadequacy in the quality, nature and manner of performance which is required to be maintained by or under any law for the time being in force or has been undertaken to be performed by a person in pursuance of a contract or otherwise in relation to any service;"

              "(nn) "restrictive trade practice" means any trade practice which requires a consumer to buy, hire or avail of any goods or, as the case may be, services as a condition precedent for buying, hiring or availing of other goods or services"

              "(r) "unfair trade practice" means a trade practice which, for the purpose of promoting the sale, use or supply of any goods or for the provision of any service, adopts any unfair method or unfair or deceptive practice including any of the following practices, namely :-

              (1) the practice of making any statement, whether orally or in writing or by visible representation which, -

              (i) falsely represents that the goods are of a particular standard, quality, quantity, grade, composition, style or model;

              (ii) falsely represents that the services are of a particular standard, quality or grade;

              (iii) falsely represents any re-built, second-hand, re-novated, reconditioned or old goods as new goods;

              (iv) represents that the goods or services have sponsorship, approval, performance, characteristics, accessories, uses or benefits which such goods or services do not have;

              (v) represents that the seller or the supplier has a sponsorship or approval or affiliation which such seller or supplier does not have;

              (vi) makes a false or misleading representation concerning the need for, or the usefulness of, any goods or services;

              (vii) gives to the public any warranty or guarantee of the performance, efficacy or length of life of a product or of any goods that is not based on an adequate or proper test thereof; provided that where a defence is raised to the effect that such warranty or guarantee is based on adequate or proper test, the burden of proof of such defence shall lie on the person raising such defence.

              (viii) makes to the public a representation in a form that purports to be -

              (i) a warranty or guarantee of a product or of any goods or services; or

              (ii) a promise to replace, maintain or repair an article or any part thereof or to repeat or continue a service until it has achieved a specified result,

              if such purported warrant or guarantee or promise is materially misleading or if there is no reasonable prospect that such warranty, guarantee or promise will be carried out;

              (ix) materially misleads the public concerning the price at which a product or like products or goods or services, have been or are, ordinarily sold or provided, and, for this purposes, a representation as to price shall be deemed to refer to the price at which the product or goods or services has or have been sold by sellers or provided by suppliers generally in the relevant markets unless it is clearly specified to be the price at which the product has been sold or services have been provided by the person by whom or on whose behalf the representation is made;

              (x) gives false or misleading facts disparaging the goods, services or trade of another person.

              Explanation. - For the purpose of clause (1), a statement that is -

              (a) expressed on an article offered or displayed for sale, or on its wrapper or container; or

              (b) expressed on anything attached to, inserted in, or accompanying an article offered or displayed for sale, or on anything on which the article is mounted for display or sale; or

              (c) contained in or on anything that is sold, sent, delivered, transmitted or in any other manner whatsoever made available to a member of the public,

              shall be deemed to be a statement made to the public by, and only by, the person who had caused the statement to be so expressed, made or contained;

              Tata Sky promised to replace the Set top Box with new Box. As one week’s time has been taken by the company’s Nodal officer to get the needful. The company’s executive keep on giving false promises that the box will be replaced today.

              Got call from executive from +[protected] on 20/04/2011 at 11:23 A.M. and promised that our Set top box will be replaced with a new box.
              The company’s technician came with the Set top box, the same set top box which has been having the fault ---off and on, i.e. the Power of the Set top box sometimes is on and sometimes off. This problem is from the very first day of the installation of the set top box. With same box the technician came and installed, though before installation my wife pointed out that this is the old set top box and is the same box which the technician has taken with him.
              The company’s technician installed the same set top box and again the same problem that Power is not coming in the box, he declared. Then made various calls to the senior officials of the company and left with taking away the same box.
              Tata Sky is befooling the consumer by installing the SECOND HAND REPAIRED SET TOP BOX AND CHARGED FROM CONSUMER RS 350 + RS 150 = Rs 500/- What other charges Tata Sky levied on the consumers are unnumbered.
              The discretions of Tata Sky to charge from the consumers will be challenged in Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum. The existence of this discretionary powers to deduct from the consumers account is UNFAIR TRADE PRACTICES ADOPTED BY TATA SKY AND PROVIDING AGAIN AND AGAIN THE SECOND HAND AND DEFECTIVE SET TOP BOX AFTER MAKING PROMISES IS AGAIN DEFICIENCY IN SERVICE.
              I was happy to deal with Tata Sky due to the reputation of Sir Ratan Tata but unknowing the bitter consequences of the services and befooling attitude of Tata Sky personnels.
              I have never expected such ruthless, reckless, negligence and breach of trust from the reputed company of Tata’s. Though due to their fault I tried to sort out the problem by making payment. After deducting the amount from my account the company provided financial loss, harassed me and made breach of trust due to its service, due to which the consumer has to get severe stress and mental agony.
              This is very sour experience from Tata Sky.


              Due to the above mentioned circumstances the Consumer has no other alternate than to file the complaint before the Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum.

              Kindly don't dodge consumers. When the consumer has agreed to pay Rs 350/= as per the demand from Tata Sky. Then why Tata Sky is playing gimmicks by installing second hand and repaired digicomp and charge for new one in lieu of replacement.
              As Service Engineer says that Tata Sky don't provide New Digicomp for replacement and so you will have to lodge your request with the consumer care executive. The said digicomp will be supplied from Bangalore/ Mumbai office and it will take more than one month to reach to our destination if it is the quickest response otherwise it may take say more than six months.
              What a great company Tata Sky and What a great After Sales Service?

The timeline fixed by the Tata Sky has passed by and there is no sight or sound of Tata Sky Technician.

              Poor customer Service A bad name to TATA. Kindly consider the following points:

              It is Tata Sky’s DEFICIENCY IN SERVICE.
              THE COMPLAINT SHOULD BE ENTERTAINED WITHIN THE TIME LIMIT.
              The controlling authority has no control over the Service Engineers.
              False promises are being made by the Executives of Tata Sky.

              Kindly refer Section 14(1) in The Consumer Protection Act, 1986, as the consumer is being suffered loss and injury on account of deficiency in rendering of Service by the opposite party, the consumer will claim Rs 1 Lac as compensation due to negligence of opposite party. Kindly provide the following relief to avoid further litigation in the matter.

              1. To replace the Digicomp with New Digicomp with reasonable charges.

              2. To adjust/ refund the amount for the period the service not availed by the consumer even after the expiry of the stipulated time as per your SMS and record.

              3. To return to the complainant the price, or as the case may be the charges paid by the complainant.

              4. To immediately remove the defects or deficiencies in Services in question.

              5. To discontinue the unfair trade practice or the restrictive trade practice and not to repeat the installation of Second hand Digicomp (Repaired Digicomp at consumer’s place)

              Kindly look in to the following factors:

              The Cable from mini dish to digicimp is intact.
              Connections are correctly made.
              No number key is working.
              There is no rain at present. Though I waited for two days that the fault may be due to rain. My
              Sir, my second connection No. 2 on the same Customer I.D. is working. Sir, whether we should keep umbrella ready, that whenever they is rain we should guard the digicomp with umbrella and provide shelter to it or we should keep have the stock of antibiotic and paracetamol because we don't know when the set top box will get sick.

              Kindly make proper arrangement to get the fault fixed.

              Tata Sky — ILLEGAL CHARGES

              1. I got letter from Audrey Frank in reponse to complain; Tata Ski did'nt telecast one day events on Active Sports but still

              charges us, how far it is correct? Is it not the duty of TATA to compensate on this?

              2. When I recharged account with 1 year subscription, my previous balance was somewhere between 15-30 rupess or more. Now,

              from 1Jan2008 Tata started charging [without any information to customers] us for telecasting 'Bindass/9X..' and when I check

              my account on 12Feb2008, it says -2Rupees; and 13Feb08 connection was disconnected for negative balance of 3Rupees.

              a. CSR didnt inform us to drop gold package on 12Feb08
              b. I never asked for gold package, tata gave the services and now charging us for that
              c. for 3Rupees i had to recharge with 200Rupees

              NOW, I DONT WANT ANY ADDITIONAL FREE PACKS BY TATA IN FUTURE, I JUST NEED 1 YR SERVICE WAT EVER CHANNELS U R PROVIDING IN

              I'd recommend people not to go for tatasky.Once an engineer came to visit as we had complained and charged 600 for nothing.He said things that he didn't do and charged us for nothing.These people are fooling us.

              Tata Sky Ltd. — Digicomp is dead

              I was viewing the tv, while watching suddenly the digicomp stopped. There is no red or green lights. The help line is very very
              poor help line. They do not pick up the phone, I tried hundred times since morning. Pl.pl help me or else I will go to higher authrities.

              Tata Sky — deceiving public by false assurances

              1.At one end Tata sky claims a lowest package of Rs. 200/- but hidden is that it is for 20 days only.
              2. The heighest pacckage is for Rs. 350/- but deprives the public for cricket live to which public is to subscribe specially for it.
              3. unwanted reginal channels are loaded to bore the public and boasting of quantity of channels.

              I also agree that there are too many regional channels, which are unwanted in Kolkata. Why can't you reduce a few regional channels and include the Sports channel. It is disappointing not to be able to se e cricket and Tennis and other International sports events. It is unfair to include unwanted regional channels while not including sports channels, which are viewed religiously.
              The Bengali channel also does not include 24 Ghanta, which is the most popular bengali nerws Channel.

              Tata Sky — Poor Service Standard

              I'm an existing customer of Tata Sky ( ID - [protected]). I have made payment for Tata Sky+ digicomp on 17.09.2009 with an assurance that same will be supplied within three days. On enquery on 21.09.2009, they told that it will be supplied within 3 to 5 days from the date of payment. Now on 24.09.09 I made a call and was informed that within 24 hrs same will be supplied, otherwise the amount will be refunded. Today on 25.09.2009, when contacted they told they need another two days to make the supply materialised. So I demanded the refund and they are telling that they need 10-12 days to make the refund. With help of electronic transfer they took the payment over phone, now when it's their turn, they need 10 - 12 days. Is it justifiable. When Indian railway or any airlines company can return the money, on cancellation, within two days. Why Tata company require 10 -12 days?

              Tata Sky+ is a fabulous product you have made a good choice by going for it. I've recently purchased Tata Sky+ and have not faced any delay in delivery problem. I would suggest you to wait for more two days rather than cancelling the order and waiting for another 10-12 days. I understand you have waited for too long but it is just a matter of two more days. The product and after sale service is really rewarding.

              TATA SKY+ — Very poor service

              I have Tats sky+ box at my home. It has gone out of order since last 4 days (and this is the 4th time it has gone out of order in less than 9 months).The box is still in warantee.
              I submitted a complaint 4 days back. The technician visited next day and told he would come back with a new box in evening.
              No one visited. Since then I have followed up the matter atleast 7-8 times on their call centre and every time I call they assures that it would be fixed in few hours or by end the day.
              Finally last evening a call came from their HYD office and they said that the box will be replaced by tonight.
              Still nothing has happened and I am in dark and wonder what sort of product I have purchased and what sort of process and system a big name such as TATA is having ???


              Really a diappointing experience.

              Tata Sky — regarding repairing charges.

              My TATA Sky DTH connection number -[protected] stopped functioning on 18/5/11 , reason being that the set top box LED was not getting ON.
              A complaint was registered for same in the Customer care they promised the resoluion within 24 hrs & they did keep the committment , a person was sent to my place for repairing , I was conveyed the charges Rs 125 for the visit/service charges + Rs 225 for the set top box replacement ( if in case required) by the Customer care itself.

              Now the person who came at my place he was a totally NON-TECHNICAL person , he didn't even touch the box or try to open any of the screw, he said that the box needs to be replaced , I said why should I invest Rs 350 for same as the set top box which he had broght with him was also a repaired one(that was a second hand box.). He said it's up to you if you want I will change otherwise no issues, my Father was the responsible person at that time , he did not want to go in any dispute & said OK.


              After the replacement I spoke to the Customer care several times , they kept on closing the case saying this is company policy .

              My question is simple_
              1) Does TATA SKY say that do not check the device at the customer's place or do not give them the option of reparing the box?
              An LED might not work due to some loose connection so the device has to be replaced , is this the customer solution they are rendering .

              2)Why should I pay Rs 125 for visit charges for a non-technical person , just for the sake of replacement , if in case replacement was the only solution I could have saved Rs 125 as I myself have gone to the service centre & have paid only for set top box.
              Sir, I fully agree with the above complaint. Tata sky is looting customers and fooling. The service of Tata sky is very poor particularly in Delhi.Service Engineer will never visit in time.Hopeless service.

              I Have a tatasky installation on 20.07.11 from Authorised bussiness Associates of TATA SKY LTD (A-234 majlis park adarsh nagar delhi 110033.the tatasky help line associates booked a wrong package in my account for one year but i have payed only for 1 month &told them to add the package on the monthly basis only .Now i request them to reverse that 1 year package but they denial & stopped the transmission of my digicomp .they linger it ,stopped the transmission that,s why they can harass me to pay more money.

              We are using tata sky connection in our institute and from last few days its digicomp box stopped working. i called the tata sky helpline number and lodged the complaint for it. the tata sky executive said that the engineer will come and replace the digicomp box. but no action has been taken from there side. i have also done 4-5 times reminders to tata sky to send the engineer but the engineer didnt come. the working of the institute is suffering as the tata sky connection is for the hostel trainees.
              please take some action against the tata sky so that they send their engineer as soon as possible.

              Very Very bad service never seen earlier. Tatasky people picked up our high quality Tatasky plus HD digicomp without checking their connections outside and replaced us with a very substandard even more defective digicomp whose picture quality was very low. Mr Sandeep (the person who came to check initially) demanded us to pay Rs. 500 in cash for their these worthless service and on asking for the bill, we were told that company never gave the bills for this payment. On many complaints customer care person Mr. Vikas threatened, " Kar lo jo karna hai, we can't do anything".

                  I had taken a Tata Sky+ subscription is the year 2010. Ever since I have only been experiencing problems with this connection. Half the time your connection does not work, it comes on and off as and when.

                  On numerous occasions I have complained in this regard. A technician comes does something, and no sooner he leaves the same problem persits.

                  As a result I am sick tired and frustrated by your service and network and it is time to revert back to my previous operator. I feel cheated and fooled by your service and am convinced that your service is only a haox.

                  I want a full refund of my money i.e this years subscription as your Tata Sky seldom works and also a refund of the TataSKY+ box that was given to me at Rs-7000. You can have your Tata SKY+ box back.

                  Today a technician visited my residence did something TO MY CONNECTION and left. When I called him back telling him that the problem was not solved he told me I would have to complain again. This is TATA SKY..............

                  I have no faith in your product any more and wish to terminate immediately. I cannot be subject to this harassement any more.

                  Kindly let me know the procedure to terminate my connection. Kindly note I am expecting a full refund of my money and hoping you dont try to take me for a ride again.

                    I am having tata sky DTH services and recently shifted to Meerut from Saharanpur, U.P.

                    Prior to shifting I have enquired about process and charges of relocation and they have told that only Rs. 125/- would be deducted but unfortunately they have deducted Rs. 500/-.

                    The service was provided to me without any kit or material except only 12 mtr. cable. I have registered a complaint thru tatasky helpline number on 04 August, 11 but the problem is not solved till date.

                    In view of very much poor response from the Tata Sky, I request thru you to get my problem solved and resume services at the earliest with full compensation for the abnormal delay.

                        My name is Amandeep Singh, resident of 280 Lajpat Nagar, Jalandhar, Pb. We have total of 6 devices / Set Top Boxes installed at this address. We have been enjoying Tata Sky's flawless services for the past 3-4 years (since the time Tata Sky launched its services in Jalandhar) I believe I was one of the first few who subscribed.

                        I tried to contact you on the number[protected] given in the Tata Sky website but the number is "not in service". The executives in the call centre responded nothing more than "sorry, but this is the company policy". Promised me that I would get a call from one of the "superiors" but never did.

                        My Complaint is that couple of days back I got a call from your office reminding me of the subscription coming to an end and at the same time told me that If I want to retain the recorded programs on my device then I will have to go for the Mega pack of Rs 6000/- instead of Rs 5500/- because you have expanded your Mega pack with South Indian channels. And If I opt for the same channels that I had subscribed all this while then I can enjoy them for the same price of Rs 5500/- but I would lose all the recorded programs. I would like to know

                        1. why is it that even after paying for the equipment the control of the equipment is enjoyed by Tata? This is a serious breach of confidentiality, trust and ownership.

                        2. In the given situation Why am I being asked or rather forced to pay Rs 500/- more just to save my precious recordings.

                        I hereby demand that I be not forced to pay anything extra for saving the recordings on the devices installed at above given address and if any action regarding the recordings is taken by Tata Sky without prior settlement of the issue in written, then I would have to proceed legally. I hope you will understand my apprehension and concern and try to resolve the issue as early as possible.

                            Tata Sky Digicomp — Installation

                            the worst experience i've ever had. i bought this set up box or digicomp, what ever it is called from a dealer in yusuf sarai, delhi. he gv me a box and ensured that my installation would be done by the ppl from the company, at any time that i wanted. it took me 2 days to get thru their cutomer care and get myself registered for the installation. after all this they gave me an appointment that was agn after 2 days. on the day of installation the engineer who came told me that fixing the thing would not be possible and i need to get a cement mount made. i stay in a rented house n my landlord wouldn't allow such a thing. i finally thought that it would be better for me to return the product. now the dealer is making a fuss over it and doesn't want to take it back. they had taken Rs 2, 500 from me for the product and i am also ready to but some thing else from him, but i definitely don't want the digicomp. he tells me that if my system is registered with the company then he cannot resale it to someone else. i am tryin to talk to the customer care so that they de-register me and the dealer takes back the product. after all this, al i want to say is that i've had a very bad experience with the company and its customer care. and they have smartly not left any system for redressal. i am not sure how fair is this for the cutomers?

                            Tata Sky Digicomp — amount debited but not recharged

                            I USED MY CITIBANK CREDIT CARD TO RECHARGE Rs.500 to TATASKY digicom . My subscriber ID [protected] dated 14.4.2011. The amount was received by M/s.Online Recharge Service Ref: 75425311105240092308234 date:14.4.2011. But Recharge was not done till date(20.4.2011). Please recharge or reverse my amount to CITIBANK Card No.[protected] VG JAYAGOPU.

                            I have taken a new connection of Tata sky with a registered id [protected] and made advance payment of Rs 2200/- towards the purchase and installation of set top box and digicomp. But problem arises when the engineer from Tata sky installed the digicomp/reception at the wrong place (middle of the roof) which was different from the place as earmarked for it. I requested the helpline of Tata sky customer care next day for correction but they are demanding money for it and turned down all my requests. It is unethical demanding money for the service which was not offered or was a deficiency in a service offered on the part of Tata sky. It's been a bad experience and I am not going to recharge it further for a penny if my problem is not resolved without a fee.

                              I Mrs Mary Varghese , a practising Chartered Accountant by profession , residing at 7 Bungalows, Andheri (W) , had on 23/07/2011 bought a HD (Recording) Tata Sky connection from your Chroma (Juhu) outlet. I paid Rs. 3,999/- at your cash counter. Inv. No. - SLF02A[protected] . A representative who gave his name as Mr. Pratik (I do know if his name is the same or something else ) (mobile no – [protected]) attended to me who gave me a voucher which was in a sealed envelope. He opened it , scratched the card and noted down the number in his diary. He also put my subscriber ID on the card , that is my Tata Sky ordinary connection number that I have . He emphatically told me the new HD (recording) connection will take place before 24 hours. He also very emphatically told me that I need not contact Tata sky and he will be doing everything necessary.

                              After 3days (72 hours) when I called him in the morning he told me that someone from Tata sky will be coming to your place around 4.00 p.m. on 26/07/2011. Accordingly I took a half day from office and went home . Even after 6.00 p.m. when nobody turned up I tried calling him . When I called him the first time his mobile rang , the next time I called I got the message that his cell is not reachable and I should try later. I tried many times later upto about 8.00 p.m. As anyone would assume I assumed probably his mobile is out of charge or out of range.

                              On the 27th to 28th of July I must have tried his number I do not know how many times. Always one thing came to my attention was when I tried my number it used to ring the first time and subsequently all the messaages like out of range , switched off etc. Even at this stage I did not doubt any fraud/ mischief .

                              On the 29th morning at about 10.00 p.m. I tried his number this time from a different cell . A lady picked up the phone and asked me who I was . Again I very honestly told her all the details of my Tata sky new connection . She told me he has gone to the bazaar and will be back by 11.30 a.m. Once he is back she assured me that he will give me a call. I do not know whether he came back or whether he did go to the bazaar in the first place as I did not receive any call till 1.00 p.m.

                              After this I contacted Tata sky directly . I told her all about the connection (name – Maria) . She went through my ID and told me there was a booking for TataSky against my number on the 23/07/2011 , but this order was subsequently cancelled . She said she would not be knowing the reason for this. In spite of this she sent a Tata Sky man to my residence who came home about 5.00p.m. in the evening . I showed the Tata Sky man (Mr. Alam cell no [protected]) the voucher . He had brought the HD box. He connected the same and then when he tried to give me the connection he said that this voucher has already been connected to somebody else and he cannot give me the connection . Mr. Alam from my residence itself spoke to Mr. Pratik and warned him that he will complain to higher authorities. Mr. Alam took the used voucher and a copy of my bill. He told me that he will go to Chroma and get a new voucher. On Saturday I again tried calling Mr. Pratik for a long time because I wanted to tell him to give the new voucher to Mr. Alam. He did not bother to pick my phone as by now both my numbers were known to him.

                              I them sent him a SMS that if he does not call me back in half an hour I will be forced to lodge a police complaint. Finally I managed to speak to him not after 168 hours. I told him not to mess with me and I will not allow anyone to get away by cheating me . I was astonished when he told me he did not work at Chroma was was called by Chroma just for a day due to shortage of staff. He refused to give me any further details. Mr. Alam reached Chroma and he too got the same answer. Nobody there knew Mr. Pratik . They also said that he had come just for a day due to shortage of staff. Mr. Alam said that he was not in a position to get a new voucher and that he cannot do anything further.

                              I being a practising C.A. , busy with filing of returns (last date 31st July) could find time only on 31st July Sunday evening to visit Chroma . I went and spoke to the person at the Customer Care Centre – Mr. Dhruv. He very patiently heard me and assured me that he will see to it that the connection happens. Accordingly he told me he will hand over the new Tata Sky voucher to Mr. Alam as the already connected Tata Sky voucher was with Alam .Yesterday i.e. on 01/108/2011 when Alam visited Chroma again he was told that all the vouchers at their outlet has been tampered with and he will be getting a new voucher from the godown tomorrow i.e. today (02/08/2011) . I do not know the continuation of this saga which started on 23/08/2011..................

                              Today I have lost my trust in Chroma because I do not know how many staff out there are for 1 day. I would request Chroma to check the creditability of their staff before they bring them even for a day. I do not know for now if when I pay at Chroma whether I will get the delivery of my purchase, without going through a lot of hazzles. Mine was a very small transaction. I do not think I have the confidence to pay at Chroma and wait for delivery of bigger items.

                              Anyway I have lost a lot of my precious time just on a small purchase of Rs. 4,000/- . I would request you once again to check on your system before many more are duped of time and money. I would request every person buying from Chroma to take care and to not relay on the name Chroma a Tata Enterprise which I believed and trusted blindly.

                                My first mail on the subject to TATASKY was initiated on 14th July’11 and today we are on 1st August'11 and the issue is still unresolved. I have been sending reminders to them on the issue time and again for which there is no response from their end. I hope they should feel the responsibility in reverting to the issue and act fast for a quicker resolution.

                                I am herewith providing you the details for your ready reference–
                                1. I have subscribed to 2 Tata Sky connections one each at Vijayawada (Sub. ID [protected], Regd. Mobile No.-[protected]) & Mumbai (Sub.ID [protected], Regd. Mobile No.[protected])
                                2. Recharge of my connection at Mumbai was due in Jan'11.
                                3. Hence an amount of Rs.6,225/- transferred to my TATASKY account on 29/01/2011 paid though CITI Bank Credit Card.
                                4. Since there was an error message received to the transaction done, have spoken to TATASKY customer care and taken confirmation that the amount is not received into the account.
                                5. Immediately transferred an amount of Rs.6.250/- to the same account on the same day i.e. on 29/01/2011 through Kotak Credit Card.
                                6. Message received that the Transaction was successfully done.
                                7. Have spoken to TATASKY customer care and taken confirmation that the amount is received into the account and they have converted my the then package to annual package.
                                8. Have noticed that CITI Bank credit card statement for the month of February has a debit of Rs.6.225/-.
                                9. Have spoken to CITI Bank for which they have raised a dispute on the transaction and confirmed that the case would be taken up by vendor (TATASKY). They have given a temporary credit to the credit card account and have approached their intermediately banker for which they have got a confirmation that the amount has been credited to the vendor vide transaction reference no.TY[protected] @ 17.53.38 ON 29/01/2011.
                                10. Having received the confirmation on the status, they have arranged a letter addressed to me along with the reference details of amount credit to TATASKY.
                                11. Receiving the letter on 25th May’11 from CITI Bank, I have been approaching TATASKY customer care time and again to get back the excess money.
                                12. I had been informed by their customer care on phone that since there are two credits in the account one each from CITI Bank Rs.6,225/- and KOTAK Bank Rs.6.250/-, the amount received from CITI Bank i.e. Rs.6.225/- has been refunded back to CITIBANK on 30th May’11.
                                13. I had approached CITI Bank regarding the credit of refund amount as conveyed by them after receiving the information. CITI Bank have checked their records and re-confirmed that they have not received yet.

                                I have clearly mentioned in my mails that at this point of time, what all I require is a confirmation in writing from their (TATASKY's) end on the three possible solutions to the problem as mentioned below.

                                1) If Amount is lying in my account –
                                Immediate transfer the amount to CITI Bank with an information to me on the reference number in writing so that the same may be accordingly pursued with them and get the necessary credit.

                                TATASKY has been sitting silent on the matter for so many days without responding. Each time I send a mail a new SR reference number is sent breaking the mail trail. I think I have given you enough time to resolve the matter.

                                    I have booked an Tata Sky HD connection on 18th July 2011 for my residence Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. But till now installation is pending. I have called so many e-times to their helpline but as usual they always appolised for delay in installation. Today they informed after calling so many times that installation will not be possible as local cable mafia not allowed to enter the premises.

                                    If they know well in advance & doesn't have guts to install then why they accepted new connection request coming from the Kharghar area.

                                    I have also suggested them that I will take the installation devices from nearest dealer if their engineer is afraid to carry those things. But they declined the request as I have booked the product via phone so installation kit should be given by them. Also I have asked send me e-mail or SMS whcih can be shows to police for their engneer's protection. But they hesitated for that as well.

                                    I have spoken to one of the police officer in kharghar area & he deny such incidents happened recently. Also I have found couple of DTH connection in my building itself. I am not sure why these peoples are not coming for the installation?

                                    I hope they will either get the installation done or will refund my money immediately.

                                    I have been a subscriber with Tatasky for the aout 6 months or so. My subscriber id is [protected].

                                    Problem is, the helpline service is pathetic to say the least. You call them and they seldom pick up the phone. On top of it, it is not a toll free number either. You spend 1 rd per minute, call them and wait for more than 30 minutes but still no one picks it up.

                                    I tried to use the website to make the changes i wanted. I have more than 500 rs in balance and when i wanted to add a package which is 30 per month, it says "Please Recharge and then add package". There is no option to downgrade the basic package via the website and you need to call the helpless helpline to do that.

                                    All in all, tatasky service has gone from bad to worse. Usually when competition kicks in, service levels improve. Tatasky is the complete opposite. Day by day, their service level is going down.

                                    There are a lot of channels that are telecasted in Hindi only. For these channels, the language selector doesnt work at all. Even if you change it to English, the telecast remains in Hindi only. Why would i pay this huge a money to watch something in Hindi which is completely useless for me? Complained about this 3 weeks back but still no feedback. As i said, these guys are useless. We should move on to something better, so that tatasky will try and improve their service to keep their customers.

                                    Airtel — Pathetic Service for DTH

                                    I have booked an Airtel HD connection online on 10th July 2011 for my residence Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. But till now installation/refund is pending. I have send so many e-mails to their helpdesk as well as nodal officer but no response from their end. After a week on 18th July 2011 they realised that installation will not be possible as local cable mafia not allowed to enter the premises.

                                    Thanks for your response to my below grievance. I will be pleased if your team can install the HD DTH connection at my residence address. Airtel DTH team informed me that installation will not be possible due to local cable operator. If this is true then let me know in written so that I can arrange police protection to your engineer or else let me know any other way to install the connection at earliest.

                                    would request all not to use tata sky . their service is pathetic . for last 20 days i am suffering due to their service .


                                    even after writting to the nodal officer maharastra their is no response. I feel the nodal office is not bothered about customers or customer service. He is bringing disrepute to the name of TATA which used to stand for trust.

                                    every time you talk to a new telecaller who will use words like "I am sorry for the inconvience and would personally look into it " and then forget about the problem . Even the superviosors are useless - Sapna, she is one lady full of lies.
                                    I'm using the tata sky services for the last 1 year .. 2 days back, the setup box lost the signals ..
                                    i have raised the complaint for the same and got the response that it will be fixed in 24 hours. but after 24 hours, i got a sms saying that engineer will visit in next 48 hours and its been 3 days now, no one has visited.

                                    Even customer care is helpless.

                                        My subscriber id is [protected].On 2nd july 2011, I had called tata sky call centre for relocation of tata sky connection to my new house. They told me that i would be charged Rs.125 as relocation charges and I should first recharge my account. Also they said that i had been using the super saver package of Rs.275. At the same time i had informed them that i live in a multi-storey building and i would not require any additional wiring as it is already done internally in my building. Thereafter, I recharged my account with Rs.400.
                                        On 4th july the tata sky engineer, Mr.Kuddus (mobile no:[protected]) came 2 my house and did the relocation. However,he had not brought any documents with him to be signed by me.On 15th july I got a message from tata sky that my account balance is Rs(-)422 and i should recharge immediately. I immediately called up tata sky and i was told that they had debited my account with Rs 500 for use of 40m metre cable and multiple switch as per the report of the engineer. They had debited my account without informing me and they had no documents signed by me which would have stated that any kind of cable or switch was used.I made a complain and they said that the matter would be resolved in 48 hours.
                                        It has been 1 week and the matter is still pending. Everyday i call up tata sky call centre and Mr.Kuddus to return my balance but they are not interested and always i am told that the matter will be solved in 48 hours. Also they changed my package from Rs.275 to Rs.340 without informing me and for this they keep charging everyday.

                                        I therefore, request you to please take immediate action and resolve my matter as soon as possible.
