I have 3 connections of tata sky.
I wanted to get one of the connection suspended for some time as my home is under renovation.
I lodged a reguest for the same on 01/03/12.
It was told to me that the problem will be resolved within 24 hour, It was explained tome that somebody will follow up to resolve the issue .
One Mr. Rajshekhar Jujhari called up from Hyerabad (STD code +40) at 6.10pm on 03/03/12 and was adamant on disconnecting my HD+ connection. I categorically told him not to touch my HD+ connection as he was not ready to listen to the problem.
He purposely with a sole intention to harass me disconnected my HD+ connection which I had to get restored later from customer care. All conversation is on record and can be checked.
Mr. Rajshekhar called up again at 9.39 am of 04/03/12 and was not into the mode of listening the issue. He was adamant to do things his way.I had no option but to disconnect call without getting my problem resolved because the attitude and arrogance of this person.
I hope somebody will listen the pathetic situation of customer in this country.
You can address your complaint to tata sky’s official handle @tatasky. They will assist you in temporarily suspending the account which you would like to deactivate. I once faced an issue where I paid for the package amount but my account was de-activated. I tweeted regarding this complaint and tata sky immediately responded to my tweet. All I had to do is submit my subscriber ID. The customer service team instantly gave a callback and my account was activated. I suggest you too should provide your subscriber ID either here or tweet regarding your issue with this complaint link. I am sure they will look into your matter and resolve it accordingly.

    Never buy TATA SKY DTH, they will charge you without informing you and if you don't pay they will stop your services.

    I have taken new TATA Sky DTH connection, my ID no. is [protected].
    They have told me that for the first month all TV channels will be free. but it was not showing all channels, so i have asked them to start all channels. Than i received one call from Tata Sky customer care,banglore that they are going to start all channels and it will be free. I confirmed with that person specifically that, is it free or not ? he told me it is free for one month. that time my account balance was 249 rupees. Than i received SMS that my account balance is minus ten rupees (-10 ) and if don't pay they will stop services. I called customer care and asked to cancel this new package which they are charging 380 rupees and give me back my older package and my balance should be again 249 rupees, they told that they will contact me in 2 hours but they never called back. and today they have stopped services and TATA SKY customer care person is not listening and understating that i want my older package back.

      Tata Sky - following is my ongoing ordeal with this great brand......

      request raised for relocation of dish
      Response: You will be contacted within 2 days

      Day 2:inquiry about the status
      Response: Sir your ticket is cancelled 'Consumer not at his residence' (isn't it obvious the request is for relocation), new request raised, it will be done tomorrow.
      Day 3 :inquiry about the status
      Response: Sir your ticket is cancelled 'Consumer not at his residence' , new request raised, it will be done tomorrow.
      Day 4:inquiry about the status
      Response: Sir your ticket is cancelled 'Consumer not at his residence' , new request raised, it will be done tomorrow.

      In all the above no calls from anybody from tata sky

      Day 5: inquiry with Escalation Team Lead 1
      Response: Sir your ticket is cancelled 'Consumer not at his residence' , new request raised, it will be done tomorrow.
      No body contacts thereafter

      Day 6: inquiry with Escalation Team Lead 2
      Response: Sir your ticket is cancelled 'Consumer not at his residence' , new request raised, it will be done tomorrow.Conferences to service engineer, he tells no body has even come to the place as there is an LCO problem. So the requests were cancelled with a false information, great.
      Team Lead 2 :Sir I promise a follow up and this matter to be rectified. Calls back after some time - sir, tomorrow will be done
      No calls there after

      Day7 & 8 - spoken to different team leads, same false promises.

      At the end it feels I have wasted more money in telephone bills than the overall cost of relocation -still no resolution only false promises.

      Pt1: How can they go on cancelling the tickets with a false information - also customer not intimated about the same
      Pt2: The LCO issus is an old issue (more than a year) - no resolutions have been thought for this
      Pt3: No provision of refund or compensation in case the company cant provide your service.

      In all the tag line for tata sky remains true , isko laga dala to life sahi mein ........

          On Sat 28 Jan'12, I baught new TATA SKY HD subscription that is delivered and installed on Mon 30 Jan,12.
          Two gentlemen came with the dish and digicomp and installed the dish and turn on the STB and said that it's ok now.
          They didn't give me any demo/info.
          Then I called the customer care and ask for activation of my account, they said that your account is pending first recharge your account, your account will be activated and I did the same, But in vain. Again I called customer care, this time they said their server is busy, they cannot process.
          And as of now I am suffering from this problem.
          TATA SKY team is not taking customer's requests or complains seriously.

          Now I am disconnecting the connection because of high level of dissatisfaction

            I have purchased Tata Sky set top box + 1 yr subscription service + installation charges at Rs 5029/- through telephone only. Set top box was installed and its working now. But executive has commited to me for deduction of full amount from my HDFC Credit card by 0% EMI for 6 months. But they have instantly after order deduced Rs 4180/- from my HDFC Credit Card (as it should Rs 800 per month for 6 months).

            I am not in position to make full payment from my credit card. So i have logged many complaints to there customer complaint with reference no mentioned below. It was wrong commitment to me and i want it to be deduced through EMI process. I want apart from Rs 800 remaining amount to be credited back to my HDFC credit card as soon as possible.

            Payment of my credit card is 2 Feb 2012 and if i will not pay amount to credit and interest will be borned by Tata Sky if they have not done redressal to my complaint before the date.

            TATA SKY DTH — wrong charging

            Dear sir,

            i herelike to tell you that, That i purchased one TATA SKY plus & call their call center to install the system, when the technician was came at home only my mother was there & she phone me to talk the technician to tell him the location to install the arial, and i told him not to installed in my balcony because in evening & morning we ususaly sit there with family, and any other place he can install eiter on roof or any side wall, but when i came to home from office i saw it was install in my balcony, i immediatly call there call center & inform him that the technician installed the arial on the wrong location & request them to change the location to roof and the telecaller accept the issue & confirm me that the location will be changed without any extra charge, after this 4-5 days passed but no one came & unexpectedly i recieved a feedback call on my cell phone then again i told them about my issue & they assured me to solve the problem but again the same scean no one came to resolve the issue. after a week i again call their call center this time when i lose my temper & shoutem on them the asked me for the service charge of shifting the location of arial, & told them about the full case then she assured my that no charges i have pay & this time they provide me service free of cost but after 3-4 days i recieved a massage on my tv screen that Rs 350 is charged for shifting the location of arial.                   I have booked Tata sky DTH on 7th Jan 2012. Your engineer did visit my flat on 10th of Jan he had some issue regarding balcony's grill and tarace.

                  At that time I was in office and my wife was in home and after these I talked with ur engineer and I asked him to come on Saturday(14th Jan) so that i will be in home and I could will provide the solution for grill and he was agree to come on Saturday.

                  But your never visit on that date or afterwards. I have allready made several complain (15 time) with customer care but till now intallation not done and ur customer care guys told me that engineer is entering different status just like 'cable oprator problem, Society permission' etc. While such type issue never exist.

                  Even your engineer never called me about this. My whole societ have more than 50 connection of airtel,dishtv. I think your engineer has some link with ocal cable operator and thats why his intention is not to installed dth.


                  If you are not able to installed than refund my whole money so that I can apply for dish/airtel dth. 10 days already passed and I can't wait more. I dont have money and time to call ur customer care. This is last warning and I will use this mail for legal action.


                  Please resolve this asap. Either do installation or refund my money back.

                  For you refernce- you can take data from cutomer care about my calls.

                  Tata Sky — No Installation

                  Hi,
                  I am totally agree with your problem. I have bought a Tata Sky connection from call centre on 06 October 2010. After buying the connection i was told that my hardware will arrive in 48 hours. The hardware arrived after 2 days before coming the Tata executive told me that if i can collect it from somewhere (what a cheap customer service). After collecting the hardware there was not a engineer nor call center gave me any call regarding installation. When i called in call center they told me that engineer scheduled installation for tomorrow by 10am to 12pm. I waited the all day for the engineer but no one came by. So i Called the call center and they told me to wait for today. If engineer did't turn up so i can take action. (For my Surprise one of my friend bought the connection from local electronic shop and it got installed in less then 3 hours) (maybe i made the wrong decision by buying from the Tata Sky Call center) So yesterday i cancelled the deal and ask them to refund my money for that they told me it will take at least 7 to 10 working days. So lets see how long it will take to get my money back.
                  And for your Kind Information Tata Sky call center is useless. They don't know anything in fact some of them even don't know how to use their system (Call center Software).
                  I don't know whether these people got any training before hitting the floor.

                  But what i know is that they are ruining the name of Tata's.

                    I have a TATA sky connection on 25th Dec 2011 . Since the day i have taken the connection i have been treated very badly by this company . Even after several complaints there has been no response . I have raised 8 complaints till now with in a space of 20 days . My property has been damaged .                     Tata Sky customer care is amongst the worst customer care
                    The staff at custome care does not know how to speak english and the executives try and explain in hindi even after u have a conversation in english.
                    On upgrading my dth connection to hd dvr, i wanted to install the STB in the other room. After getting mysel[censored]nderstood after 5 hours and 10 phone calls, they give a date of installation 72 hrs later and on appointed day they cancel the request (am appalled at their effeciency of the request).
                    The credit policy of recharge is also extremely erroneous and now they just want to make money from their customers.
                    Its becoming AN INEFFECIENT AND A THIEF COMPANY. Will not recommend it to anyone anymore.
                    I got transfer from Pune to Bangalore and I asked for re-installation on 29-Mar-2011 at 9:00 AM. Then the person who was talking to me told that will get call within 2 hours related to address change and re-installation. But I waited till arround 1:00 PM and again called them. Then I got the ticket number and assured that within 24Hrs it will get re-install. Then in the evening around 8:00 PM I received a call from Service Engineer saying that we can only do re-installation on 31-Mar-2011 after 1:00 PM.

                    At last again I called to the customer care and asked them that within how many days re-installation issue should get resolve, then they told the same thing that within 24Hrs it should get resolved and assured me that by 11:00 AM on 30-Mar-2011 I'll get a call from Service engineer, but I didn't received the call till 1:00 PM on 30-Mar-2011, then again I called up to the customer care and get to know that the process with take 72 Hrs and the time will start from 30-Mar-2011 at 1:30 PM.

                    At last I got fed up and asked them can I talk to some manager, then I don't whether it was manager or her colleague and when I asked the same thing to him he told as per our process it will take max 48 Hrs, and assured me that he will again call back me within 2-3 hrs once he will talk to the service engineer and confirm about the re-installation time.

                    But its already 6:50 PM and not received any call from them, so I got frustrated with their way of handling request.

                    Hence as per my experience it's my suggestion for Pune tata sky is the better choice, because whenever there I got any problem, I was getting immediate response from them. But for Bangalore please don't go for tata sky.

                    customer care is ridiculuous and the promise of 24x7 is all false. Tried almost 5 times continuously i was held up and no body from other side took the line. I could not contact, Though i got good service delivery in past occassions but when there was an emergency and need the company should be reachable by the consumer. the timings of customer care should be aptly specified. I regeret to say worrst part of tata sky service.
                    Pathetic way to attend problem. Complaint was for no signal, in a 24 floor bldg, wiring in a duct, technician comes without a meter, tools.Just keep pulling wires to trace wire, unplugs, plugs back.Trying to see if it has worked. Earlier day technician had visited for adjacent dish, cuts my wire puts a joint ? Informed senior of the issue and name of a person who had visited, he refuses that the wire was joined. How come there is a very new shining connector in the wire which was not there before. Why Tata Sky puts a joint in HD set top box connection ? No one takes responsibility for such low level careless technician's action.
                    SMS says technician will visit at 12:00 hrs and turns up at 4:30pm. He has no clue that he was to visit by 12:00hrs. When enquired on phone reply is, 12:00 hrs means 12:00 to 1:30pm Simply careless. Customer ID: [protected]
                    My customer id-[protected], Fed up of the support rendered by TATASKY, i have taken 2 connections 3 weeks back, for which 1 connection is not at all working, the same reported for 3 times, till date no support guy has visited to solve the problem, 6000/- rs is paid to tata sky for which 1 month was supposed to be free, but 20 days past 1 connection not working, no one is hearing the voice of customer, in between there was also a text from tata sky that one person has visited me, & resolved the problem, which again is a false statement given by the company, i would rather wish to take back my money & cancel the whole thing .such a irresponsible company .who does not value the customers.
                    since one week I am complaining about our Tata sky connection that we are not receiving the vide in the regional channels .but nothing has happened till now

                      I have lodged a rqst for shifting my tata sky connection on 10 of Jan 2012, i was given an assurance by the Rep of tata sky that it will be shifted within 24 hours. Despite being in regular touch with tatasky connection has not been shifted/installed till date !
                      Howevr, again i was assured that on 14 Jan i will be provided with my connection by evening due to which i wasted my entire saturday and sunday waiting for tata sky mechanic.
                      It has given me a mental torture and inconvenience and i was not connctd with the world. Despite this tata sky will deduct the money for which the services has not been provided. Hence my humble rqst is they should be penalized for their lack of co-operation with the convenience.

                        I have purchased a Tata Sky HD box and after purchasing it i have faced severe problem with the set top box.In the first year itself there was problem with the video as the TV was not receiving the signal and it took almost an hour to get the video on the TV after starting the HD Box.
                        After complaining for the same those guys came and changed the set top box with some repaired set top box just after 3 Months of changing it the set top box had audio problems and this time they charged me Rs 125 for visiting as theyd said that I am out of warranty period an I dont know why do they charge if they are providing me the service they should cover it .
                        Again after a month of two the Set top box has no audio and is again replaced .
                        I AM REALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE QUALITY OF SET TOP BOX AND THE FEES THEY CHARGE FOR CHANGING THE FAULTY PROVIDED SET-TOP BOX.this is not expected from a company like TATASKY

                              Hello,

                              On 07/03/2011, I paid Rs 6000 towards Annual Mega Pack charges(which was supposed to last 1 year, till March 2012). However I was given a email reminder in December 2011 itself that my subscription is lasting only uptill 20th December 2011. Surprised, I dug out the payment details, and flashed it across to the Tata sky authorities. Subsequently I also wrote to the nodal officer twice. Though 3 different representatives of tata sky contacted me, following my each representation, all of them quoted a unmentioned (stupid) clause requiring that after making the annual subscription payment, a phone call confirmation has to be made by me(the consumer).

                              Later I realized, that even for the previous year I had subscribed Rs 5500(old annual package value) for the same annual mega package. By oversight, even during that year I have been made to renew my subscription before the completion of 12 months duration.

                              My own profile page on tata sky website describes me as annual mega package subscriber. This being so, I do not see the need for another phone call from me(the consumer) after 07/03/2011 confirming subscription to annual mega pack.

                              I have been a tata sky consumer since Febraury 2008, having taken the connection in Calcutta and transferring the same to Mysore in January 2009.

                              My current subscription should be revalidated uptil 06 March 2012(end of 12 month period from March 2011). It may please be noted that I am not asking for any correction for the previous year.

                              With in 30 mins of my lodging the above complaint a TATA SKY executive called me assuring he'd help. In fact my subscription has been extended about 3 weeks. Still the gap between my expectation and this extension is BIG.The same executive promptly called back and on my expression of the GAP he has reassured me on giving another try with his higher ups. I am hopefully waiting..
                              I am very happy at the response of TATA SKY and even more HAPPIER at what this forum has done to me.

                                  Tata Sky Subscription no.-[protected]. I was enjoying a special package upon offer by Tata Sky for Rs. 1140 from March 31st till Sept 27, 2011. On Sept 29th, 2011 I reacharged for another 1130 (+Bonus 15/-) for enjoying the same base package + Same Additional packages (as it was previously AS CONFIRMED/ PROMISED BY THE EXE WHO WAS ONLINE DURING MY REACHARGE).
                                  However, after some days I noticed that the due date/validity was for 3 months only. On contacting Customer care they told that the offer canned be renewed and the amount cant be refunded.
                                  I've been calling them for over 10-12 days since 9th Dec, 2011 but in Vain. They are not able to reach any consensus nor are they ready to cancel my connection and refund my amount. There is also no call back from their end to address the issue.
                                  I request to the relevant authorities to kindly address this issue failing which I will take legal route and ensure things reach their LOGICAL end.

                                      My customer id for tatasky is [protected].i made a complaint 5 days ago regarding the malfunctioning of my tatasky.the concerned department sent an engineer by the name of raju whose telephone number is [protected] to my recent address.he did the signal test and slightly adjusted the dish and then left stating that my problem has been rectified.but i insisted on his staying back a little longer to properly check everything but he just left adding there will be no problem now.as soon as he left i saw that the problem has infact increased.i recieved a call from the banglore office asking about the status of my problem.i told them that my problem has not been rectified and ur engineer is also not responding to my calls.they assured that within 24 hrs my problem will be solved.but now 52 hrs have passed and no resolving of my problem yet.we are unable to watch tv since last 5 days.also we did the relocation of our tatasky ourselves but your services department has deducted relocation charges of rs.125/-from our account which is unjustified as we did not request for relocation and we installed Tatashy myself.We need our Rs.125 back also 5 days tata sky subscription charges needs to be refunded due to non service IMMEDIATELY.

                                        We subscibed for Tatasky connection on 13 November 2011. The connection was taken by availing the phone service help desk. We had a chat with customer service executive named Santosh.
                                        He gave us the following offer:
                                        Pay Rs.2800 by credit card and you get installation free of cost as well as 2 months of free services by your company. We emphasised as to whether there are no hidden cost for this installation to which your executive replied ''no sir, there are no hidden cost''. We demanded invoice to which the executive said will be provided to you at the time of installation. As agreed the payment was made by credit card.

                                        At the time of installation your dealer demanded Rs.500 and we had a talk with their customer care executive who suggested us not to pay these charges as they are charged voluntary by the dealer and requested us if need be to file a complain against such dealers. At the time of installation thier staff didn't provided us with invoice any they relented that the invoice will be sent to you by courier. They didn't demanded Rs.500 as complain was already made.
                                        After 9 days the services has been discontinued.

                                        As a genuine consumer we called their consumer helpdesk and had a chat with their executive (Neelema in Bangalore) who was unware of what these charges are for and emphasised to pay these charges as early as possible.

                                        We have already filed a complain by mail as well on their site but to no avail. They call us and discuss our complain. They now repeatedly call us and harass us by demanding these charges.

                                        This is wrong on the part of the company to apply such hidden charges and harass their consumer.

                                        Also note that we have not received any invoice for the payment made as promised by your helpdesk executive (Santosh).
