Tata Sky Pathetic After sale service
My Settop box has stopped working on Friday (17-Jun-11), showing a digicard error (Error 02), seemss tyo be some issue with the digicard, immediately i have called the customer services and lodged my complaint, they confirmed that since i am in there premium customer list, it will be sorted out within 48-72 hrs, and i can expect the call from there Technician.
Till Monday i haven't recd any call from tatasky, i once again called the customer services in the eve and they advise me that i will be receving the call from the technician on Tuesday, Till Tues eve also i hvnt recd any call from the Technician, once again i approched the Tatasky customer services and escalated the issue with the higher authorities and they assured me the technician will be visiting till 7.00 on Tuesday eve , and if not then on wednesday i.e 22-Jun-11, the problem will be solved, But Still i the situation is same, i havent recd any call from tatasky and once again i have to approach them.
Is this is wht they called the premium customers category wherein the issue has not been resolved since past 5 days, I think i have made a mistake by subscribing for the whole year, thats y i have to bare them now.
Just 2 months back they have replaced the new settop box , for that also i have to wait for one week to replace it, and again this issue , They are saying that the digicard is not available or the technician is busy.
I can't accept this kind of treatment from such a big organisation, and since after getting such a pathetic after sale services i have to lodged the complaint against them.

Problem is, the helpline service is pathetic to say the least. You call them and they seldom pick up the phone. On top of it, it is not a toll free number either. You spend 1 rd per minute, call them and wait for more than 30 minutes but still no one picks it up.
I tried to use the website to make the changes i wanted. I have more than 500 rs in balance and when i wanted to add a package which is 30 per month, it says "Please Recharge and then add package". There is no option to downgrade the basic package via the website and you need to call the helpless helpline to do that.
All in all, tatasky service has gone from bad to worse. Usually when competition kicks in, service levels improve. Tatasky is the complete opposite. Day by day, their service level is going down.
There are a lot of channels that are telecasted in Hindi only. For these channels, the language selector doesnt work at all. Even if you change it to English, the telecast remains in Hindi only. Why would i pay this huge a money to watch something in Hindi which is completely useless for me? Complained about this 3 weeks back but still no feedback. As i said, these guys are useless. We should move on to something better, so that tatasky will try and improve their service to keep their customers.
The help desk guys needs to be trained in attitude and politeness. They behave as if we should treat them like God for the crappy service they are providing. Completely useless website, useless helpline...I am going to be a tata bye bye customer rather than tatasky customer.
