I have booked an Tata Sky HD connection on 18th July 2011 for my residence Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. But till now installation is pending. I have called so many e-times to their helpline but as usual they always appolised for delay in installation. Today they informed after calling so many times that installation will not be possible as local cable mafia not allowed to enter the premises.

If they know well in advance & doesn't have guts to install then why they accepted new connection request coming from the Kharghar area.

I have also suggested them that I will take the installation devices from nearest dealer if their engineer is afraid to carry those things. But they declined the request as I have booked the product via phone so installation kit should be given by them. Also I have asked send me e-mail or SMS whcih can be shows to police for their engneer's protection. But they hesitated for that as well.

I have spoken to one of the police officer in kharghar area & he deny such incidents happened recently. Also I have found couple of DTH connection in my building itself. I am not sure why these peoples are not coming for the installation?

I hope they will either get the installation done or will refund my money immediately.

I have been a subscriber with Tatasky for the aout 6 months or so. My subscriber id is [protected].

Problem is, the helpline service is pathetic to say the least. You call them and they seldom pick up the phone. On top of it, it is not a toll free number either. You spend 1 rd per minute, call them and wait for more than 30 minutes but still no one picks it up.

I tried to use the website to make the changes i wanted. I have more than 500 rs in balance and when i wanted to add a package which is 30 per month, it says "Please Recharge and then add package". There is no option to downgrade the basic package via the website and you need to call the helpless helpline to do that.

All in all, tatasky service has gone from bad to worse. Usually when competition kicks in, service levels improve. Tatasky is the complete opposite. Day by day, their service level is going down.

There are a lot of channels that are telecasted in Hindi only. For these channels, the language selector doesnt work at all. Even if you change it to English, the telecast remains in Hindi only. Why would i pay this huge a money to watch something in Hindi which is completely useless for me? Complained about this 3 weeks back but still no feedback. As i said, these guys are useless. We should move on to something better, so that tatasky will try and improve their service to keep their customers.

Airtel — Pathetic Service for DTH

I have booked an Airtel HD connection online on 10th July 2011 for my residence Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. But till now installation/refund is pending. I have send so many e-mails to their helpdesk as well as nodal officer but no response from their end. After a week on 18th July 2011 they realised that installation will not be possible as local cable mafia not allowed to enter the premises.

If they know well in advance & doesn't have guts to install then why they accepted new connection request coming from the Kharghar area.

Thanks for your response to my below grievance. I will be pleased if your team can install the HD DTH connection at my residence address. Airtel DTH team informed me that installation will not be possible due to local cable operator. If this is true then let me know in written so that I can arrange police protection to your engineer or else let me know any other way to install the connection at earliest.

would request all not to use tata sky . their service is pathetic . for last 20 days i am suffering due to their service .


even after writting to the nodal officer maharastra their is no response. I feel the nodal office is not bothered about customers or customer service. He is bringing disrepute to the name of TATA which used to stand for trust.

every time you talk to a new telecaller who will use words like "I am sorry for the inconvience and would personally look into it " and then forget about the problem . Even the superviosors are useless - Sapna, she is one lady full of lies.
I'm using the tata sky services for the last 1 year .. 2 days back, the setup box lost the signals ..
i have raised the complaint for the same and got the response that it will be fixed in 24 hours. but after 24 hours, i got a sms saying that engineer will visit in next 48 hours and its been 3 days now, no one has visited.

Even customer care is helpless.

Unnecessary promotion of Packages

Tata Sky is harassing customers by promoting Channel/Packages that the Customers have never asked for. Kindly take action against TATA SKY. Customer Service are arrogant in responding to queries.

    SIR, I PURCHASED TATA SKY DIGI COMP NO[protected] DIGI CARD NO[protected] WITH SUPER VALU PACK.I paid Rs 999+200= total Rs 1199through Sajani Putrah authorised dealer KEM Road Bikaner Rajasthan-334001. mob no [protected]. but this is still with me and I could not got installation properly till date I requested so many times visited sajani putrah and cll all the no which were given by them but no avail. i contacted to mr rahul also no [protected]. when there was nothing then I purchased air tell dis also and now I feel very cheated by the company as wel as by the deale being a defence personnel I do not have time to visit consumer forum so I ma writting this for you.

      My subscriber id is [protected].On 2nd july 2011, I had called tata sky call centre for relocation of tata sky connection to my new house. They told me that i would be charged Rs.125 as relocation charges and I should first recharge my account. Also they said that i had been using the super saver package of Rs.275. At the same time i had informed them that i live in a multi-storey building and i would not require any additional wiring as it is already done internally in my building. Thereafter, I recharged my account with Rs.400.
      On 4th july the tata sky engineer, Mr.Kuddus (mobile no:[protected]) came 2 my house and did the relocation. However,he had not brought any documents with him to be signed by me.On 15th july I got a message from tata sky that my account balance is Rs(-)422 and i should recharge immediately. I immediately called up tata sky and i was told that they had debited my account with Rs 500 for use of 40m metre cable and multiple switch as per the report of the engineer. They had debited my account without informing me and they had no documents signed by me which would have stated that any kind of cable or switch was used.I made a complain and they said that the matter would be resolved in 48 hours.
      It has been 1 week and the matter is still pending. Everyday i call up tata sky call centre and Mr.Kuddus to return my balance but they are not interested and always i am told that the matter will be solved in 48 hours. Also they changed my package from Rs.275 to Rs.340 without informing me and for this they keep charging everyday.

      I therefore, request you to please take immediate action and resolve my matter as soon as possible.

        i had logged a complaint on 12 jul 11 with your co they promised to change my sat box within 2 days but despite my repeated complains the co has not replaced my set box to date
        i do not want to cont as your customer pl return my bal of one year subsc and your cc staff needs to be educated on how to respond to customers & TATASKY dealer here needs to be changed
        or else you will have many disatisfied cust like me

            My tata sky has been stopped working since 10 jul 2011. After following up no body has ever cared to see what is happening.
            After follow ups with these people, CS guided the steps which were not worth. Still it is not working.

            We had launched complaint with them on[protected] morning. No body till now has come up for solving the issue.

            My TATA Sky was not working since last 2 days. On calling they told us to send a Fax to bangalore which itself cost me Rs. 112.50 from Delhi. This is not acceptable and this is detoirating the TATA Brand. Please be inform i want this to be set right in next 2 hours failing which i shall be constrained to take other avilable measures at my end.             I got one tata sky connection which has been issued by my employer at the time of joining.(feb2010). From last 15.10.10 onwards the service of TATA Sky was not available. I launched a complaint on 15.10 and service engineer came to my home on 17.10.10. After checking the cable and dish, he went away with out giving proper output. After several request, no action has been taken yet.

            I am a resident of Jaipur,Rajasthan and one of the initial and oldest user of Tata Sky.My tata sky is not working due to some technical default from last few days. I am unable to register my complaint with your tata sky associate because your interactive system never connects my call with the concerned person and once my call was connected your associated behaved in an indiffrent manner and shruged off her responsibility by saying 'server is down' and i should contact them after few hours. I tried doing my duty but failed because of your unresponsive call center system.

            Sir, i switched on to tata sky because of my belief that a national level company bearing the name of the most prestigious group of the country i.e TATA will provide hassle free quality services but my experience has been disastrous. The Tata Sky dealer says he has no power to register any kind of compliant. Your Website always shows server problem. The call center never picks up my call.

            I presuppose that providing service against subscription money is a mandatory job of TATA sky and by shrugging of its duty tata sky is not only defing the natural justice enshrined in the Constitution of India but also breaching the customer service agreement.

            I urge to the authorities to look into the matter and behave in a responsive corporate manner.

            Hello,

            This refers to various request made as mentioned under:

            complaint at website on 13Dec10 @ 17:35 ref :SR[protected]

            and phone calls made to Mr.Ravi at [protected] and his team at [protected]

            As per engineer the setup box is not working and needs replacement. However in spite of various followup no replacement done till date. The reason I'm being told is the non availability of setup boxes. Further there is no commitment for the day/date when the same can be replaced.
            This is highly un proffesional attitude and shows no commitment towards customer service.

            Today I was told by Mr.Ravi that no stock(of setup boxes) has been received from past 20 days and he has no idea when the stock will arrive. On every complaint i made (mentioned above) I was told the problem shall be rectified in 24hrs and now I 'm being simply told to wait as nothing can be done.

            I request you to kindly look into the matter. I request tata sky management to replace the setup box by 16Dec10 or I'll have no option but to make request for blocking this connection and to go for Airtel's connection. They have approached me and I don't have any reason now to continue with Tata sky.

            Hello,

            It is really unpleasant to inform you that today also the problem is not rectified. The engineers are not capable enough to trouble shoot. I'm being informed that setup is perfectly fine ; AND You should know that the problem is pending for four days due to non availability of new setup box.

            There hit and trial method says digicard is also fine and the problem is from Back end.Once again I've been told that nothing can be done and I've to wait till tomorrow.

            The problem which could have been rectified from back end in one day took so much time, effort and followup. I never expected such unprofessional attitude from Brand Tata sky. Non availability of stock, untrained engineers does not give confidence that there will be no such instance in future.

            I'm no more interested in your services nor do I have time and energy to followup for such pity things.

              We started facing no signal problem in our Tata Sky from Monday afternoon. We lodged a complaint with Tat sky customer care on Monday with a promose to us that the problem will be fixed in 24 hours. The technician did come to our residence at 3pm on Tuesday. He check the Tata sky, took out all the cables from the dish antenna and then said that the dish has to be shifed a bit upwards to get proper signal for which he wanted a big ladder which was arranged on rent by US immediately. The technician, Suresh Kumar then went to attend another residential problem promising us to return by 5pm. He never retrurned. However, we kept calling him with no response. Finally at 7pm he picked up the phone and said he cannot do anything as he is going home. I then called the Tata Sky customer service number and lodged another complaint. Spoke to Ms Parineeta, who claimed to be the senior team leader who apologised profusely and promised that the technicians are in vasant kunj only and will fix the problem by 8 pm positive on tuesday nightr as its just a 10 minute work. At 8:30 pm I called her agfain as nobody had come till then to fix the problem. I was told by Edward Edwin and the next sr team leader that Ms Parineeta has left and that its very unfortunate that the problem has still not been fixed and promised to call back with a solution. 15 hours have passed since then with no call and no technician visit at our residence.
              On Sunday, 10th July, I have submitted the payment for tata sky for four months. I need Consumer forum to take up the matter seriously for all the stress that we have been going through by continuosly calling the customer care for tata sky with no results for 48 hours and rude obnoxious behaviour of the tat sky team. I NEED FULL PAYMENT OF TWO CONNECTIONS THAT WE HAVE AT HOME AND FULL PAYMENT THAT WE HAV DONE SO FAR TO TATA SKY.

                Hello Sir,

                I am a TataSky DTH Subscriber since last 4/5 years. Since last 10/12 months, TataSky unilaterally decided to provide DD Gujarati under Active Doordarshan. Under Active Doordarshan, this DD Gujarati is apperaing in cramped screen size which is not at all comfortable. Previously the same was appearing in full screen channel.

                Look at the philosophy of Tata for Gujarati Customer ! The regional language channel of DD is appearing in cramped screen size whereas DD Bangla, DD Urdu etc are appaering on full screen !!

                I have taken up the matter with TataSky several times in one year with my mails marked to even Secretary of TRAI. But the results are not there unfortunately.

                I understand that as per TRAI, it is mandatory for DTH Service Providers to provide all DD channels free of cost. But after paying handsome subscription, I am being deprived to get DD Gujarati in its original quality for enjoying view.

                I solmnly request you to takeup the matter at appropriate level

                TATA SKY / DTH — Poor Resolution for past few months

                Respected Sir/Madam,

                I am a Tata Sky DTH Subscriber for last 3 Years. My Subscriber Id. is [protected].

                I had taken this connection while I was posted in Delhi.Six months back I got transferred to Patna. Since then, I am facing a lot of problem with my TATA SKY-DTH connection. I am a regular viewer of Star Plas & Colours channel. But, these channels are not working properly on my TV. There is problem on a regular interval. The picture quality & sound are not clear.

                I have complained to TATA SKY Helpline several times. But, they are unable to resolve the issue. Everytime I call, they make some excuse or the other. Since they were not able to resolve my problem permanently, I requested them to take back their Digicom and return back my money. But, they refused to do so. I am unable to understand this...Why should I suffer for the problem which the company is not able to resolve. I took the digicom for my entertainment and not to suffer like this.

                After several round of harrassment, I am highly disturbed and tired.

                I am unable to carry on with this any further. It is a mental torture for me. I want TATA SKY to return my money and take back their digicom.

                As a last resort, I had no choice but to make a plea to the consmer forum to help me come out of this situation.

                  I am facing the problem of poor signal quality from the date when I purchased Tata Sky. Its signal quality is hopeless during monsoons.

                  From the beginning of the month of July 2011 my digicom is not recieving the signal at all. I called customer care for help they just told me to wait for a while. Even after waiting for two days signal was not there. Then they told they will send an engineer. Engineer came on 07/07/2011 & discovered the problem is with digicom & it should be replaced. Then again after two days the engineer came with new digicom & replaced it. on 10/07/2011. There was no provision of refund for my money of the unused service. I was charged Rs.225 for new digicom which has no warranty (if I needed 1 yr warranty then I had to pay Rs.399 extra) & Rs.125 for engineer visit. Even after paying the whole money on the very next day i.e on 11/07/2011 due to no signal I am unable to view the services. Again when I called the customer care they told me the same thing i.e 'Wait for a while'

                  TATA SKY DTH — Poor Signal of Tata Sky

                  I am the user of Tata Sky DTH services.My ID No. is [protected].Regret to say reguraly Signal shows poor or not receiving and informed on their Contact Nos.[protected] and or 0172 - and they simply says do like this and that.But till date no visit was paid by them.Moreover their Delhi No. is not even responding and message received No such No is existing.

                  What should I do.

                  digicom — no signal

                  After switch on DIGICOM, At each channel showing your DIGICOM is receving NO SIGNAL.Initial screen is showing picture and sound correctly. I was purchased this set on[protected] with 3 Months Free Subscription. Kindly attend the complaint. My Address and mob no are as below :

                    This is regarding inconstant and unsatisfied services being provided by Tata Sky DTH.

                    I am a Tata sky customer, my subscription number is [protected]. I am a VERY PRUDENT customer who has seldom missed the subscription fee payment to the service provider. However I have been punished by the service provider for almost every time in the past eight months.

                    Tata Sky has an on-line payment system apart from its Tata Indicom Shops at Boring road in Patna. For the past two consistent months, I have been making an online payment using internet banking through my Axis Bank Account number on or before due date, which, every time is denied by the service provider however my Bank statement shows the amount being debited status. On calling and making queries to the Tata Sky helpline from my mobile number, sometime I am told that there was a network problem at Tata Sky it center or some other time it is some other problem and evcerytime I face the risk of dis-connection.

                    This has been a permanent problem with the Tata Sky service and I have been made victim many a times in the past 7-8 months. As a loyal customer, even I make payments on-time through their tataindicom shop located at Boring road; the company has given a receipt of payment, where as dig box shows a non-payment status. This happened for almost three times from October 2010 to March 2011. On querying to the customer care executive they give a naive reply that they do not have "credit" in their accounts, apologise and have left me alone to bear the tortures of cajoling the customer care team at Noida.

                    I have the proofs of almost all the transactions which I have made which will show "on-time payment" from my side, even then this, their blunders have made me victim of their fault and bear the penalty and panics totally on to the customer.

                    This has become a permanent problem of the service provider and I request a serious action against the service provider.

                      me and my family had gone on vacation for 20days to mumbai and returned on 10july 2011 only to find that my tatasky dish tv is not working.i request the company to send some technician and do the needful.i m staying in bhuj. my tata sky id is [protected]. my registered mob no is [protected] but i request you to register my new mob no [protected] in the name of vanlal hruaii.my have recharged till sep 2011 so money is not the issue...most probably some technical problem.

                        I have a DTH connection from tata sky and the equipments are under warranty. on 05/07/2011, the set top box of the DTH developed a snag recently and the audio went off. I registered a complaint in regard to this (No: 1-[protected]) on 05/07/2011, next day a person came to check the STB and declared it faulty and said that it would be replaced. then even after 4 days, no action has been taken by tatasky though I've filed two more complaints (No: 1-[protected] and 1-[protected]).                           I have purchased Tata Sky 4 years ago. Tata Sky is a service provider who provides service at very high rates. They don't value their customers money. For each thing you want you have to pay money.
                          Tata Sky at first had 4 sports channels viz. DD Sports, ESPN, Star Sports & Ten Sports.
                          At first these channels were provided at nominal rates. Later on they introduced Star Cricket, Neo Cricket & Neo Sports & there the game begins.
                          They instead of making one single package for sports channels started making different packages with high rates.
                          Star Sports, Star Cricket & ESPN were made part of one package costing more than Rs.60.
                          Neo Cricket & Neo Sports were made part of different package costing Rs.30.
                          Ten Sports alone completely separate with Rs.20 charge.
                          Later on Ten Cricket & Ten Action were introduced where each channel costing more than Rs.20.
                          So you have to pay more than Rs.150 to watch just watch all sports channels.
                          Moreover channels like UTV Bindass, UTV Movies, Colors, Imagine, & Zoom are not the part of basic viewing package. You have to pay more to view these channels.
                          Other newly introduced channels like Dicovery Science, Discovery Turbo, Fox Crime, BBC Entertainment, C Beebies, NDTV Good Times, FX, UTV World Movies, TCM, WB & MGM are being provided in two different packages with more high rates.
                          So in short if you want to view all channels which Tata Sky provides you will have to pay nearly Rs.1000 per month ! !
                          I imagine what kind of DTH service is this ? Are they keeping in mind that most of their users are common people who earn a fix income every month ?

                            Having rechrged online for TATA SKY using Axis Bank Visa Debit card on 2nd July 2011 around 4 pm.
                            The amount got debited immediately from my account however even after 48hours Tata Sky informs they have no credit for the amount charged that is INR 750/-. ( Tata Sky A/C : [protected])

                            Debited from my account not credited to Tata Sky ..... where has the money gone... one wonders.

                            Online payment are meant to make life easier and hassle free but here I am hassled for the last 48 hours not knowing where to go and what to do with people from Tatasky showing the least to help around or having an answer themselve. Issues got to have solution if Tata sky says they dont have the credit for the amount they are using a third party service to fecilitate online payment through bill desk and they are responsible to settle the issue and not wash hands saying its a third party the billdesk and using a seperate server. Certainly Billdesk is not robotic and are run by human beings with whom Tata sky can take up the issue... probably the amount is too small for them and inconsequencial to take it up, just shows how much customer oriented service they are...

                            TATA SKY DTH — Did Not Recharge After Online Payment

                            Hi,

                            I tried to recharge my Tata Sky DTH through PayTM on 20-Aug-11. After all the steps & payment was processed & i got a message on my cell phone from HDFC bank stating the confirmation of the same. But, it has not been updated yet in my Tata Sky A/c. I am wondering if there is some error processing the payment then how could i get my money back.

                            Please suggest & do the needful for processing the payment.

                                I have a complaint regarding your customer care services. I registered a complaint regarding some problem in my digicomp with card no.[protected]. I registered my complaint on sunday and the customer care representative said that the technicians will come within 2 days. (My complaint id is 1-[protected])
                                I recieved a call on monday morning from your ludhiana service centre and they promised me that your problem would be solved before noon but no technician showed up. Today morning[protected] i recieved a call from your representative and he claimed that he is an engineer of your esteemed concern as he told me. He promised me that our problem will be solved within two hours i.e. about noon.
                                Tata Sky has great name/fame and reputation in Indian DTH Market and is one of the best DTH provider in India but according to my experience your services dont meet your valuable clients' expectations. It is same like hindi proverb "UNCHI DUKAN FIKA PAKVAN". I also want to tell you that my family is suffering from last four days and we are unable to watch TV.
                                Kindly look into the matter and take appropriate action ASAP.

                                  I am a Tatasky DTH suscriber since two years. After one year from purchase
                                  date set up box is not working properly and I have compalin to Tata sky then
                                  they have changed it with cost. After three month then same problem arise
                                  and complain to tatasky and report is that set up box will be changed.

                                  Sir I think so it is not possible after three month respectively my set up
                                  box will be changed with pay cost. I think this is a poor quality of product
                                  is suppling by Tatasky or this is a source of income respectively.

                                  Sir, suggest what is the procedure to save me from the probelm.

                                    I had requested for a second digicomp on 16th June 2011.
                                    My second digicomp has been installed, but signal is not proper.Also the drilling was not done .Inspite of repeated complaints we are not being serviced properly.Request you to look into the matter ASAP,else we will have to look for a new DTH provider and complain about Tata sky's pathetic service in consumer court.I have been a loyal customer since the last 3 years,but recent experience would prompt me to move to a new provider and at the same time advise many of my fellow peers,friends and colleagues to move to a new provider.Such has been my recent experience with tata sky and if you cannot service us properly then please let us know so we can move on to some other DTH as this is first time my exp has been so bad. I have done 3-4 complaints already and had 3 technicians coming in, but noone gets a drill machine and all promise to come on the other day, but noone shows up ever.THe Call center execs also just promise things, but the matter of fact is OUR COMPLAINT NEVER GETS SOLVED.

                                      Tata Sky Pathetic After sale service
                                      My Settop box has stopped working on Friday (17-Jun-11), showing a digicard error (Error 02), seemss tyo be some issue with the digicard, immediately i have called the customer services and lodged my complaint, they confirmed that since i am in there premium customer list, it will be sorted out within 48-72 hrs, and i can expect the call from there Technician.

                                      Till Monday i haven't recd any call from tatasky, i once again called the customer services in the eve and they advise me that i will be receving the call from the technician on Tuesday, Till Tues eve also i hvnt recd any call from the Technician, once again i approched the Tatasky customer services and escalated the issue with the higher authorities and they assured me the technician will be visiting till 7.00 on Tuesday eve , and if not then on wednesday i.e 22-Jun-11, the problem will be solved, But Still i the situation is same, i havent recd any call from tatasky and once again i have to approach them.

                                      Is this is wht they called the premium customers category wherein the issue has not been resolved since past 5 days, I think i have made a mistake by subscribing for the whole year, thats y i have to bare them now.

                                      Just 2 months back they have replaced the new settop box , for that also i have to wait for one week to replace it, and again this issue , They are saying that the digicard is not available or the technician is busy.

                                      I can't accept this kind of treatment from such a big organisation, and since after getting such a pathetic after sale services i have to lodged the complaint against them.

                                      Tata Sky — Service after sale

                                      I had problem with my set top box( twice in 20 days). Service team has taken back my box and promised to replace next day, did not happen. On live chat was promised to complete by 10th September, still no sign. Complaint No. SR[protected]. Very dissapponted.
