Sir,
As per the direction of your Customer Care Executive I approached M/S. Bhasin Enterprises for recharge of my Tata Sky connection. The concerned person said that we don't recharge the Tata Sky connection and he directed me to contact M/s. Bansal Electronics Engineers, Banga Road, Phagwara-144401 Ph:[protected], Mob:[protected] and paid Rs 500/= to the owner.

I regret to inform that there is no provision of instant credit to the account of the consumer. The person get the payment and said that there is no facility of coupen with them and we shall get it Recharged through Computer.

I requested him to provide me the receipt which he has not given and assured that the amount will be credited in my account within half an hour. It is really very disgusting experience with Tata Sky that whenever I approach the dealer to get the Recharge, the consumer is being harassed.

This time also the dealer was demanding Rs 500 plus Rs 20/= as service charges. On my request that the company executive has told me that no other charges will be levied extra to Rs 500/- the said dealer accepted the amount.

Kindly look in to your Deficient customer services, it really bad on the part of the company attached with TATA's reputed name in India.

    Sir,
    I regret to inform you that though TATA is the leading software company in India. Its own Tatasky software is defective. If you click on Punjab the site o[censored]ttranchal will be opened. Likewise is the position will all the states dealers network.

    It is most regreted that the Software provider to the world has its own defective website.
    I had to recharge my connection with Rs 500 offer with Cash back of Rs 200/- but I could not find the Dealer in Phagwara (Punjab).

    Really pity on the poor performance of Tata's website.

        I am complaining against your customer care officer Ashish.

        On 2nd Feb 2011 I have made 3 or 4 calls to short out the mistakes he has made.

        On 2nd Feb when I called first time on that day Ashish received the phone & I was asking him regarding the rules to change the packages; but he was desperately interested to change my package.

        Besides this he changed also my package from super value (275 Rs) to some Economy pack.

        I need from Tatasky to take strict actions against him because he has lied to me also.

        Humans can do mistakes but lying is not negotiable.

        I had strictly said him for not changing any pack any channel then also he has changed.

        & also he has lied that he has not done anything so their is nothing to change.

        This is really very shameful matter that he lied on the phone.

        The company & the court can hear the whole phone-call & that's why I have mentioned his name & date of calling.

        I dont need this pack. Enable my last pack soon.

        Hi,

        I took tata sky around 10 months back with the South jambo pack. After some days they moved some channels into lifestyle gold pack and increased the rates. I thought this will be one time thingh but now they have moved all the sports channels in a diffrent pack and now tata sky will cost Rs. 45 more.

        There should be some law in place for these kind of things. they just can not wake up one day nad ask us to pay more.

        Tata sky has not give me good service but they have given me a lot of tension.

        Please do something about this.

        I took tata-sky in the middle of 2006 - that way I am quite an old customer of tata-sky. That time there was no different packages. First time I complained them, I learnt that as existing customers we will be always given the previllage of viewing the channels that we were viewing during our Tata-Sky installation. I am sure they said these to all other customers then - whoever complained.

        I feel I am being cheated and I think consumer forum should take strict legal step to stop this kind of offence.

        I took tata sky on seeing the list of channels they were providing. That time there was no clause in their advertisement or anywhere that they will add packages or even may stop providing any channels, anytime. Currently they have dropped almost 13 popular channels that I was enjoying.

        Now, in their website they are writting new rules - to cut their customer's pockets. The complain section of their website also allows to write complains to them in 60 words only. And if they don't like the complain they set the complain status to "Closed" status at their will.

        This is high time that customers should get the legal backing from consumer court.

        With reference to Order number ( 1-[protected]) which was placed on 24th Aug 08 with TATA SKY.

        Just to inform you that while placing this order I was promised that the set-up box will be delivered in 4 working days but for your information sir, it has not been delivered yet.

        I am neither shocked or surprised becouse now i have realized with the experience that the big corporate always have this luxury to take their customers for ride and still they will get all the certification ( quality in service) and support of govt in achieving this goal/objective.

        Since last thursday, I have been following up with TATA SKY on this and it is realy sad to say but I failed to get the delivery or they have failed in their committment. Every time I call up, I have told that either the Delivey Van is on its way or by 9' o' clock in the evening I will get the delivey. No matter who so is the owner of the company, they should be penalized and brought to the task, so that the incidents of this kind doesn't takes place in future.

        Believe me it is not just money which I have spent on making calls from my mobile every day but also quality time on follow - ups and insterestingly people like Naveen with whom I had a talk on this will cut down your phone ( I believe this is important to get quality certification :) and lied that phone got disconnected.

        Earlier I used to believe that companies like this will change the cable distribution industy in India but now I have percieved no it is not so and they are no better than small time cable operators except for the fact the govt will get one more source to tax who are actually already taxed and that too without thinking much about the consumer . And these corporates will enjoy on our money.

        These companies should be broght to the task and should be penalized so that consumers don't get cheated like this in future any more like what is done in other countries. Companies like TATA SKY should not be allowed to this to their customer in future.

        I am waiting to see how good you are going to do this to me and mind you till the time they are not penalized financially, it won't make much diffrence to them.

        sir i wanted to complain against the dirty tricks played by tata sky to loot customers. what they have done now is that they have added crucial channels like ESPN, STAR SPORTS AND STAR CRICKET to a new add on pck called "SPORTS PLATINUM" it costs rs. 75 a month .they already have...         Yesterday I gave the money to pay for annual mega pack.But the person has paid it for super saver pack.
        and he told that we cant pay for annual mega pack because with one subscriber id 3-4 tata sky are taken.can anyone have one subscriber id for three ti four tata sky.If we wnat to pay for annual mega pack than all three of them have to pay for it.

        There has been a misappropriation and super saver pack has been activated instead of annual mega pack. The customer care personnel must have wrongly activated the pack. He must have been providing information about multiroom connection in case you do not have a mulitroom connection such area should have been avoided however the CC personnel always gets the customer updated and imparts knowledge. There is no obligation as such that all three of them have to be paid for annual mega pack. In case you have a multiroom connection then too you will be able to choose the pack you desire for each STB. Also the misappropiation must have occured due to child connections.

        My Subscribe ID No. is [protected] and I had purchased two boxes i.e. one was secondry box the primary boxes Digi card number was[protected] and Digicom no. is[protected] which is taken by one of my relative and is being using in Gulf country Oman. The person using is on my name has changed the Subscribe ID no. and fake address and after so many complaints to customer care there is no proper response and also my secondry boxes is being stop my secondry box Digi card no.[protected] and Digicom number is[protected]. I will like to complain about the person who has taken my primary box has changed the number into [protected]. Kindly do something and i want my same register number back

        Tata Sky — Cheating Customer with wrong Information

        Tata Sky has come up with an offer of Rs 1599 in which they say that installation is free when you call them. They ask you to pay through your Credit Card. I did as they said and was not informed of hidden costs. When the engineer came for installation he asked me to pay Rs.100 saying that the installation was non standard. I disagreed to pay but he still installed the connection. After 3 days I got a message on my mobile that my connection will be cancelled by mid-night if I don't pay Rs.100 which I was not informed of while taking a connection. When I called customer service, they told me that they will check but still have my connection cut.. You would not expect such a breach of trust from a company like Tata.. But beware.......These are a bunch of Cheats out there..
        Standard installation + Warranty charges + activation charges which amount to Rs 1, 000 has been waived of making it to Rs 1, 599 which is the cost of the hardware and as per the offer you are entitled only to this (1, 599) amount. The mode of payment can be decided by you however the cc may suggest you a way to recharge in case there is an offer through that method which you may derive benefit of. However, an additional amount may be for the package which is not hidden but also not mentioned since it will depend on the pack you choose the basic package amounts to Rs 160/- . Technician visit is always charged but that is after the statutory installation as per terms. Since you are unaware in respect of what is the amount Rs 100/- charged for ? you should find out that first and if it is for package you will have to pay for a base pack but since the price of base pack being Rs 160/- it cannot be charged for base pack. You may also be in the offer entitled 2 months of free subscription (a) Super Value/South Value package and (b) Lifestyle Gold package in addition to existing benefits on the Installation free offer.

        Tata Sky — Wrong package sold

        TATA SKY has differnt package . I have bought their super saver package . Which on their website has mentioned features that Hungama Channel will be shown in all language. Once i bouth and paid them for Haly yearly we came to know that hungama is not coming in enlish. I have reported 5 complints online on tata sky portal though all were closed by agents without informing me. When i called up call center they said that this will not come in enlish they are sorry but they won't refund my money. I have taken all screen shots every thing. I am really planning to take the case with consumer court. This is not issue of 5000 rupess it's cheating and then not responsing to customer once they got payment.

        I have registered a new TATA SKY connection through thye helpline and they told that if I subscribe for the Annual Supreme pack I will get a discount of Rs. 200. So I booked a new installation and I made the payment through IVRS using my credit card. Also they said that the connection will be installed within 48 hrs but the connection was installed only after 5 days and that too after a lot of difficulties. I had to call a lot many times. Let that go, then comes my subscription. Though I have already paid for annual subscription it is not updated in the system and it shows a negative balance. I called the customer care to update the status they said that it is not updated in the system. Anyhow you tell the actual amount you paid and then it will be updated. they also told that I will have to pay the additional amount which I have not paid. This is a case of completely misleading the customer and unfair practices followed by TATA SKY. Isko laga dal to life gaddhe me dala.

        We have taken the tata sky connection from past two years, but to our disguise this is the 4th set up box we have changed.

        They are providing the used setup box without sealed packet which was used before and repaired. To our surprised they are aslo chargind us for the replacement of set upbos along with the service tax.

        When called the customer care there is nobody to answer our query and the call is kept for hold for more than half an hour.

        They are also using the wrong benefits of the recharge amount. They deduct the amount from our balance without information or prior intimation but when we call the customer care for the information about the deduction they give variable answers.

        So friends beware of this cheating done by the TATA SKY. Please check before going for this services as I have the experince of this torture. Only Amir Khan is the celebrity and the name TATA but not the srvices.

          TataSky (Zeetos exchange program) is fooling consumer by making to pay for the Tatasky services which promises gift of chioce to kids for the zeetos exchange, but in reality they are not givng any gifts. The zeetos points exchanged 2 months back and we still are waiting for our gift. Though calling their helpline several time we only get all false promises. This is the reality of TataSky. Beware!! Don't get fooled by Tata brandname.

          I guess till now you might have got your gift. It takes around 2 months to get gift from Tata sky zeetos program. For your assurance till now i have got 2 gifts from Tata sky zeetos . One make up kit and one remote helicopter. Even also when also i talked to their customer care representative I got good response and correct information. If till now if you didnt got your gift let me know I will take follow up in this with Tata sky. My email id : [protected]@gmail.com

            Hi, I'm Chetan Ramteke, I'm a tata sky subscriber for 2 yrs. I was satisfied with its service for 1.5 year; but for last 6 months its service quality suddenly dipped to ground. For last 4 months, i was unable to add or drop any Package (barring on couple of occasions) at my will. In order to do that, I've tried all possible options but in vein.
            1. First I dialed toll free customer care no. (From MTNL/BSNL lines:[protected], but the reply was the no. does not exist.
            2. Then I tried other customer care No. (From other lines: Western India:[protected] It got connected. But when I chose the option for adding package, the recorded option was ' Sorry, we are unable to process your request; Please hold while we connect you to tata sky executive'. After this very announcement the line got disconnected. At first instance, I thought it to be some technical problem and I tried once more and for n number of times, but the same thing happened.
            3. then i tried first option one more time, this time It got connected too. but result was same as in the second case, Line got disconnected at the manual conversation instance.
            4. then i tried the sms option from my Registered Mobile no., i got the reply message saying 'sorry we are unable to process your request, try after some time'. then i tried this for no. of times, but of no use.
            5. then finally i tried online option, but that also had reply 'failed'.
            After that i left with no option but to file complaint. I visited the tata sky website, in contact us menu i entered my complaint. but at the time of register option, it showed reply of 'sorry we are unable to process'.
            I haven't experienced more pathetic service than this one. this has wasted my valuable time and it frustrated me the most. so, i am registering my complaint in order to get compensation against my time wastage & frustration.

              Hi,

              I had enquired back on december 2010 about Tatasky HD and said I may consider about it on January 2011. In regard to this I got a call from TATA sky hyderabad on 20/1/2011 by a person called Sashi from the number[protected]. I told him I am not interested in it but this person calls me again after 1 hour by 3:22pm and I told him again that I am not interested.

              Today [21/1/2011] I again get a call from Anil from TATA sky hyderabad[protected] and that too by 9:15pm in the night marketing for the HD product. When I demanded him to give the call to the supervisor, he said that there is no one in the floor and then hung up on me.

              Isn't there any privacy for customers even in the night? After I have told another of their agent twice that I am not interested why are they calling me again? Don't they maintain call records.

              This is definetly nuisance. I don't know how many people will call me like this.

                Tata sky customer care are giving false information over the phone and not giving the exact details..
                Example: I just called Tata sky executive recent ally and he gave the wrong information over the phone and I asked verify the call records but they are not checking the call records and again giving the false information ,due to that that I lost my money and time
                Please suggest me how to raise a complaint legally

                  i subscibed a few channels of sports, in tata sky on 15th dec 10 and when i called on
                  14th jan to unsubscribe the package i was told that, the rules hav been changed
                  since september and we cant unscribe untill 3 months...
                  this is really frustrating as i didnt recieve such info at the time of subcribing...
                  tata sky should hav informed me about the subscription rules via an sms
                  i was told that the rules can be viewed in tata sky.com
                  but all people dont hav acceess to internet all the time
                  i think tata sky should look up to this matter

                    Tata Sky service is very inefficient, to say the least. They have changed my Mega-pack for which I have paid ,into Grand Pack without my permission. Inspite of repeated calls and requests, they are not able to fix the problem. I have talked to several customer associates, for several hours and I am fed-up. I have no choice but to register complaints. My ID no. is [protected]. if they resolve this problem soon, I will post my feedback again.

                      This is to complain about the additional money which was demanded by the tata sky office in goa.
                      Had called up the call center informing that i just had to shift my tv inside the house to the next point. The engineer came across and had the changes done and called up the office and informed that Rs 100/- had to be paid against the said changes which can be done by recharging of that amount.

                      later a call was received from the Tatasky goa offfice stating that Rs 450/- had to be paid as against the complain as for relocation. Why was this not comfirmed at the time when the changes were done. Also changing of address would have been acceptable but here its just moved from by hardly 1 meter distance inside the house.

                      Also it is informed that the product is not under warrantly when it is hardly 3 months for the product. id no.[protected]

                        (1) Tata Sky DTH could not drop their channel packages and they have to wait for 90 days; (2) When we want to change the package, the Customer Support is not picking up; (3) Why not TRAI restrict the DTH operators to charge for a per-channel subscription instead of per-package subscription?

                          I purchased TATA Sky in 2007 and till date have 3 connections altogether.

                          I have made several complaints with TATA Sky about their service interruption and till date no responsible person has resolved the issue.

                          They are popping an envelope on the screen which is very prominent and stays on the screen forever till you open the messages.

                          Even when you order a Showcase the same thing happens and that interrupts the viewing as the envelope stays on the screen till you get rid of it.

                          I requested them to give an option to the customer whether or not they want to receive or see any promotional offers from TATA Sky.

                          I think it is very unprofessional of them by ignoring a customers complaint.

                          I also told them several times that I shall go to the Consumer Court as they are taking their customers for granted.

                              Sir, I have applied for a Tata Indicom Broadband to Tata Sky . They send their repersentative, he said us to submit the prescribed fees for broadband , i gave him cash of rs. 3372 only dated 12/09/2008 and get a recipt from him.
                              Two persons of Tata co. came to my home on 24/09/2008 and tried to install Tata Indicom Broadband but they tried a lot and then replied me the installation can not be done to my home due to poor connectivity, so they give me a WI-MAX NON INSTALLATION CONFIRMATION REPORT CUSTOMER COPY and said me that with in the month your will get all of your money whatever i deposited.
                              Sir i wait a lot for this and after a long peiod of 3 months i tried to contact them in this regard they didn't gave a suitable response to me. When i approached their customer care they tell me the ENQUIRY NO. AND NICR NO. is name of someone others.
                              I also send a fax to NODAL OFFICER OF TATA INDICOM ON 66552020 but they didn't replied me in this regard.
                              Sir my enquiry no. - 166971 , nicr no.[protected] and cash recipt no.-1622252.
                              Sir it is a long duration that i am not able to get my money , please help me in this matter to availing my refund and punish them for their such a behaviour.

                                Existing Tata Sky subscribers can purchase a Tata Sky HD digicomp by paying the full price of Rs 2599. When purchased during the offer period they will also be entitled to 1 year free subscription to the HD Gold package.

                                I had taken tata sky as per above offer on November 24th 2010.

                                They have activated free HD annual pack as per above offer ... but for only 3-4 days it was active and later deactivated.
                                Later, daily money for HD connection is getting deducted from my account.

                                I logged a complaint on that to resolve the issue .. but .. again free HD annual pack was activated and again deactivated after 3 days.

                                This is 4th time in one month .... where the HD Annual pack gets added on my request and somehow automatically deactivates after 3 days and money gets deducted from my account.

                                I got fed up with customer care and their services and there is no permanent solution ..
                                Pathetic .., till now, for only calling Tata Sky it took more than 100 rupees where offer was only 30/- rupees per month..

                                Very bad service of tata sky..
                                If there is some technical problem .. then ideally they should atleast give other equivalent offer mentioned in website i.e 2-3 months of subscription free or credit 360/- rupees of equivalent amount..

                                How to resolve this issue..

                                  Since last 8 days my TATA sky plus set top box is not functioning. I have repeatedly called the helpline numbers but had no success. Finally an engineer visited and confirmed that our set top box (PVR) is hung and needs replacement and shall be replaced the next day. No one came back to us for the next three days and no one called us to inform about the delay. Then we spoke to the regional manager northern India and the local manager customer relations Mr Sanjay Goswami and appraised him about the whole problem who promptly offered to help and confirmed that someone from his engineering team will call me and give the solution. No one called till late evening so I called back Mr Goswami who then again assured that he would call me personally and send a regular Demo TATA sky set top box as an alternative solution the next day till the time they get the PVR replaced. Again there was no call nor anyone came with the replacement.
                                  I am an ex TATA employee for 11 years myself, but was urged to lodge this complaint for this poor handling and no response of my complaint.                                     i am the customer of tata sky, initially took the 99 rs monthly rental pakage, after few month they automatic updated my pakage without any concern from my side and start to deducted 125 rs p/m. after long time we found monthly rental is more so complain to tata sky customer care they dint took care and told this is right process.
                                    but we don't need new package only old package and same tv channel.
                                    so please go through this problem and try to shout out.

                                        Hi,
                                        I'm a Tata Sky subscriber with two connections in the family ([protected] and [protected]).

                                        My annual package in [protected] is due for renewal in Jan.'11 (somewhere around 8th - 12th Jan.) and I have already deposited the requisite amount in my account.

                                        But the beauty is that their call centre executives tell me that I can not renew my annual package in advance (which, in any case, is due in less than a month) or if I insist then the renewal will be done from today - leading to a loss of remainin days !

                                        According to company's extant policy, I have to wait for the expiry of present annual package period before I can renew the same. This brings to a very likely and discomfirting scenario as to if I'm busy on that particular date or if I forget then either they would snap the transmission or start debiting my account (since in this case, I have already made a fool of myself by depositing the annual amount in advance) at a much higher daily / monthly rate !

                                        It does not happen in any other industry. By this logic, I should wait for my vehicle's insurance to expire and then renew it !

                                        Weird ! Absurd ! Illogical ! Plain stupid !

                                        Can you do something for me in particular and for thousands of other subscribers in general ?
