I am an old customer of Tatasky and wished to take additional connection
( customer ID : [protected] ). Dealer at Pilani M/s Manoj Traders, Nehru Place, Pilani sold me a Digicomp and sent online message to Tatasky for installation. The Engineer from Jhunjhunu, Mr. Mahesh of Tatasky, Experience Zone, Khemi Sati Road, opp. old bus stand,Ph:[protected], Mobile No: [protected], ( c/o Mr. Hira Lal Mobile No: [protected] ) came for installation on 26th Sept., 2010 , refused to install the digicom sold by Dealer at pilani, installed the one which he brought with himself which had a broken remote taped with all letters unreadable and said that company had packed it that way. When I refused to accept, he insisted that I take as he has installed and asked for payment which I refused as I had already paid for the digicom sold to me by Manoj Traders, Pilani and called the Dealer at Pilani. On insistance of the dealer at Pilani , who talked to his superior, he took back the digicom with broken remote, just connected the one sold by the Manoj Traders, Pilani without connection and also damaged the existing videocon DTH connection and its dish out of position, which he had disturbed as teh cable he brought ws not of enough length. I had to call another cable operator, next day to fix the problem with an added expense of Rs. 300/- and extensive mental harrassment by the engineer Mr. Mahesh from tatasky Jhunjhunu branch. Though I tried calling the helpline number
[protected] ,none of them even lifted the phone nor called back. After persistant calling , I was able to talk to the customer service centre on 28th Sept., 2010 and received an indifferent response and the call was shifted from one person to another over 3-4 minutes. This incident has caused a severe mental stress for about 4-5 hours on 25th Sept., 2010 caused by Mr. Mahesh, Engineer of Tatasky from Jhunjhunu and additional expense of Rs. 300/- for rectifying the damage done by him. Should not tatasky be held responsible for recruiting such service people ? Someone may kindly answer my agony.

I am totally agree with your problem. I have bought a Tata Sky connection from call centre on 06 October 2010. After buying the connection i was told that my hardware will arrive in 48 hours. The hardware arrived after 2 days before coming the Tata executive told me that if i can collect it from somewhere (what a cheap customer service). After collecting the hardware there was not a engineer nor call center gave me any call regarding installation. When i called in call center they told me that engineer scheduled installation for tomorrow by 10am to 12pm. I waited the all day for the engineer but no one came by. So i Called the call center and they told me to wait for today. If engineer did't turn up so i can take action. (For my Surprise one of my friend bought the connection from local electronic shop and it got installed in less then 3 hours) (maybe i made the wrong decision by buying from the Tata Sky Call center) So yesterday i cancelled the deal and ask them to refund my money for that they told me it will take at least 7 to 10 working days. So lets see how long it will take to get my money back.
And for your Kind Information Tata Sky call center is useless. They don't know anything in fact some of them even don't know how to use their system (Call center Software).
I don't know whether these people got any training before hitting the floor.
But what i know is that they are ruining the name of Tata's.
