Hi,
I'm a Tata Sky subscriber with two connections in the family ([protected] and [protected]).

My annual package in [protected] is due for renewal in Jan.'11 (somewhere around 8th - 12th Jan.) and I have already deposited the requisite amount in my account.

But the beauty is that their call centre executives tell me that I can not renew my annual package in advance (which, in any case, is due in less than a month) or if I insist then the renewal will be done from today - leading to a loss of remainin days !

According to company's extant policy, I have to wait for the expiry of present annual package period before I can renew the same. This brings to a very likely and discomfirting scenario as to if I'm busy on that particular date or if I forget then either they would snap the transmission or start debiting my account (since in this case, I have already made a fool of myself by depositing the annual amount in advance) at a much higher daily / monthly rate !

It does not happen in any other industry. By this logic, I should wait for my vehicle's insurance to expire and then renew it !

Weird ! Absurd ! Illogical ! Plain stupid !

Can you do something for me in particular and for thousands of other subscribers in general ?

    DEAR SIR,

    I am a customer of Tata Sky DTH Service in Chennai. I purchased my Tata Sky
    from electronic shop, near T.Nagar road Chennai. On 28th of Aug
    2008 .and I lunched a complaint on 10/12/2010 in evening time, complaint number is[protected] “that my set top box in not working” at Tata sky customer care. Since then they are giving me assurity that they will solve my problem well the same evening. They gave me technical person number and i call the technical person but phone is out of service. But after giving quite 30 to 50 calls they are still not in view of solving the problem.

    My Tata sky Box is in warranty period. And still the Tata sky customer are
    not responding me.

    Sir, in spite o[censored]s ready to to take action against them Tata sky district office at Chennai are not in position of solving the problem.

    My ID No of TATA SKY IS [protected] registered by the name of Mr. Hitesh
    devda Chennai.

    I need to launch a complaint against the District office of Tata sky for not solving the problem and harassing me continually.

    my set top box in not working properly
    DEAR SIR,

    I am a customer of Tata Sky Service in Kolkata. I purchased my Tata Sky
    from electronic shop, near new alipore, kolkata, west bengal
    and I lunched a complaint on 21/10/2011 & 27/10/2011 in evening time by mobile phone. complaint that my set top box in not working” at Tata sky customer care. Since then they are giving me assurity that they will solve my problem well the same evening.

    And still the Tata sky customer care are
    not responding me.

    I need to launch a complaint against the District office of Tata sky for not solving the problem and harassing me continually.

    Please help us out..

      Selective channels of SunTV/Vijay has found to be disturbing and not getting very clearly (effect of hanging of computer type). Contacted Tatasky opting language Tamil Mode but responded with Hindi speaking person (very purpose of choice of language buttons is defeated) and the attended person has claimed service charges of Rs.350 for Inspection purposes. I said there is a court judgement not to claim any fees for DTH related subscribed service since I have also pointed out set top box is working and signals of specific channels is the problem and for that too he claimed there is no provision of free service. I mentioned that I have paid semi annual subscription charges for the purpose of viewing channels and I am not entitled to pay any service charges. But my demand is in vain. They refused to attend without commitment from my side to pay for service charges of Rs.350. Please help us is there anyway to mend their ways and means.

        I purchased a tata sky connection form a distributer on 1-DEC-2010.
        Moment it was installed it was giving faded colours. Engineer told me it will adjust it-self. I complaint to the service station , again an engineer came he told me the set -top box is faulty.

        Inspite of replacing with a new one he told me he can replace with a pre- repaired set.
        No replacement can be done. wait for 20 days.

        Again i called the customer care they will attend you in 24 hrs.
        Again i called the customer care they told me 48 hrs.

        I had not heard not seen anybody from TATA SKY.

        Tata Sky gives the worst service in lucknow area.
        False commitment from the engineers and customer care.

        Very poor service in lucknow..........

        Tata Sky — NO REPLACEMENT OF FAULTY SET OF BOX

        I took TATA SKY dish and set of Box .After three months set of box was not working .
        I called to TATA SKY call center for four weeks still no action taken just vacuous assurances were given .They didn't replace my set of box till date .
        TATA SKY is very slow in sorting out such matters .
        So please DONOT take TATA SKY connection ..if there comes any glitch there is no body to help you out .

        Do not get impressed by name of " TATA" it is just for attracting customers and if they have any problem they will keep you busy making call to them.Also field engineers are very rude .I was thinking that I am calling any government person to clean gutter in front of me .

          I called TATASKY customer care on Dec 1 and booked a brand new installation,subcription for an entire year.The total amount was INR.4274 and i paid on the call using my CITIBANK Credit card.I told them that i needed the installation done by saturday(4/12). The subcriber ID is [protected] and the order no as 1-[protected].

          I have called TATASKY everyday since then and till now I have not even received a DTH box.All my calls to the customer care have been wasted efforts with me spending @least 30 mins each time.On every occasion I have been asked to hold on and wait for 24 hours more. I spoke to around 3 supervisors named Ravikiran,Ronald and Asif .Each one promised to get back to me within 2 hrs but no one called back.

          It is 7th December today(7 days after my original booking and the 5th working day) and so far no action has been taken.All my calls have gone unheeded with the agents and the call centre supervisors feeding me empty promises and false assurances. Nearly 7 times the supervisors promised to check and call me back,but only once did they call back to tell me that it would take another 24 hrs.When i threatened cancellation,they requested me to wait. The engineer called me only yesterday morning and told me he would not come as it was raining. When I asked him why they never turned up earlier,there was no response.

          Its been a totally ridiculous experience for me and I am appalled at the pathetic level of service and consumer service provided by so the called TATA brand.I am ashamed to say that this is the state of one of the most preferred brands of independent India and there is no accountability associated with the TATASKY team . Except for selling the product,they care nothing else about catering to the sale or providing the paid for service ,leave alone within time!If nothing is being done before EOD,i will cancel my subsription and installation booking. TATASKY is a brand to be avoided...BEWARE!

            Dear Sir,

            I am a subscriber of Tatasky under subscriber ID [protected]. I hve been recharging the channel packages continuously for the past 2 years. Last time when I recharged I have clearly instructed the agency which recharged my account to drop the paid sports channels. It was not done. I have rang up the customer care centre and intimated the same. Noting happened. In the midst of my busy schedule I went to the tatasky website and entered my complaint.

            But to my great surprise I received a computer generated message stating that I can drop any channels only after 90 days. Why the hell should I wait for 90 days. Who is going to pay for these 90 days? When we don’t pay does not tata sky disconnect teh service. Why then should I lose my hard earned money for 90 days? Is this service .This is a clear case of cheating, fraud and misappropriation.

            From my younger days my relatives, teachers and friends have been telling me that tatas is patriotic company and does not indulge in any fraudulent activities. I am really shocked to see tatas earning money in this manner. I don’t know how many poor people have undergone this suffering.

            Is this the great patriotic tatas or Alibaba and 40 thieves

            Tata Sky — Paid Channels

            Sir

            I am a customer of Tata SKy.I have subscribed to the gold pack bouqet of services for 1 year 3 months back.While advertising for gold pack Tata Sky have offered a No. of channels which will be available if gold pack is subscribed to.Based on the above advertisement I have subsribed to Gold Pack of Tata Sky for 1 whole year after paying the requisite subscription amount.However at present it is seen that Tata Sky is slowly & sklowly providing some of the channels in Gold pack offered at the time of subscription on paid basis only.

            As per my understanding I must be given access to the presently paid channel that were advertised in gold pack 3 months back.Any changes in terms can take place only after the expiry of my present subscription.

            Request your advise on the above matter.

I am suffering from a problem that before 2 months tata sky activated kids channel on my account without my permission(without contacting me) after this my accout expired before 1 week. I dont want kids channel on my account..plz help me and deactivate the kids pack on my account otherwise i do not recharge my account and lodge RTI about this..

              Tatasky service in vellore region is very worst. i beleived that tatasky gives good customer service.But that is not true.I had signal reception problem(no signal) so i have contacted customer care where i registerd my complaint.the idoits in the customer care gave the false statement that our service engineer will contact you with in 48 hours. but no one has called me.after two days again i have made a complaint to customer care they said at any cost i will make arrangement some arrangement and i have received 1 sms which contains complaint number and service team contact number.but no one has called me. After i made repeated calls to customer care (senior supervisors).one service team from vellore visited my home that also i made call to him by refering a number from the tatasky sms. It takes almost 1 week for him. He checked and said some problem is there in digicomp and he has taken that one. again he took 2 days. he has not back with my digicomp.whenever i make call he used to tell with in half an hour i will come. But he has not visted my home till.tell me what i have to do. will tatasky will make this issue to develope customer relationship in vellore region???

              I asked for a new connection 4 days ago. A charming voice from Mumbai promised me service in 48 hours... I am waiting...and now am reconsidering...

              If Tatasky does not find a new agent you might as well wind up operations in Vellore
              No signal please address sir
              it is worst service by TATA sky in vellore region.

                I am Amit Verma, VPO- Simas, teh- Lad-bhroal, Distt- Mandi (H.P), present this complaint to Tata Sky. I was purchased Tata sky set of box on Nov-4, 2010, but they never install dish antenna till now. My TataSky is ID [protected], I am very frustrated and dis-satisfied from there services.                   Respected Sir,

                  With reference to my tatasky A/C/ID: [protected] , I have been a customer of tatasky DTH for a long time , but they are not loyal to the customers. It so happened that I have a problem of poor signal quality, and when I lodged a complaints to tata sky, they promised me to send a service engineer for attending the problem. But no service engineer came, rather 2 non-technical and illiterate people came and rather than improving the quality of signal, they further spoiled the signal. In the name of sending the person to spoil my TV reception tatasky deducted Rs350.00 from my account. Hence I request you to declare tatasky a fraud company and have my undue deductions refunded to me.

                    I am a tata sky subscriber [ID : [protected]]

                    A complaint was filed by me on 25/11/2010 regarding Tata sky digicomp not receiving signal [WO No: 1-[protected]]. The technician who visited ib 26/11 was unable to locate the cable & promised to ensure that the person who had installed the dish on 15/10/2010 will be sent to fix the problem. I called up the helpline on 27/11 after not getting any update for 24 hrs. The complaint was updated to indicate that the person who had done the installion should be sent. On 27/11 evening, 2 different technicians came in & were once again unable to identify the cable. When I called up the call centre on 28/11, I was shocked to find that these technicians had closed the complaint stating that problem has been fixed!
                    I filed a new complaint with WO No: 1-[protected]; which was supposed to be serviced on 28/11, 18:00 hrs. But I did not receive any update till 29/11 19:15 hrs. Called up the service desk again & requested to be connected to the escalation desk. Floor manager by name Sanjay A promised to get the problem rectified by 30/11/2010 10:30AM. I also mailed to the escalation id & received a call where person on the other side gave me the same assurance. It is nearly 2 hrs past the deadline already. Neither has anyone turned up nor have I received any update after all these escalations.

                    I have also filed a complaint in writing through tata sky website on 27/11/2010 [Service Request Reference Number: SR[protected]] but do not see it under "My Query Status"

                    I have wasted 2 half day leaves & several hours calling/mailing the service desk to get this simple problem fixed. Who will pay for this loss of time as well as the charges being deducted from my account for the last 5 days while I am unable to get signal & suffering due to poor & incompetent support ?

                    TATA SKY DTH — Pathetic WEBSITE

                    The website of Tata Sky invariably NEVER works. It talks about technology. First improve the infrastructure.
                    Cannot even login from first page. How do they expect us to make online payment ?

                    Website totally SUCKS.

                      I had purchased tata sky in 2008 and the antenna was fitted just below the coconut tree and when i called tata sky customer care they said it would be charged for shifting the antenna. than i wanted one more digicomp for my second TV that time when i called for new additional connection i was assured that if i purchase one more tata sky, antenna shifting would be done free of cost but when i did the payment and the engineer came for installation he said it would be charged.

                      Now since the problem incresed i called tata sky and the engineer shifted the antenna position and the problem resolved, but this time i was charged 350 rs and when i called tata sky customer care he said that the charges would not be waived off.

                      Also the person from tata sky was speaking in a rude way.

                      This was a good trick to make money, install the antenna first time below a tree and take shifting charges.

                        I have been a subscriber of Tata Sky for Close to a year. My set top box had been experiencing technical difficulties for a few days and so I registered a complaint with Tata Sky on the 22nd of November ( Complaint no is 1-[protected]). I was assured at that time that the technicians will get in touch with me within 24 hours. However, that didn't happen, I called back again to inquire about the status and was given the same stock answer. Today it is the 29th of November and my problem still hasn't been solved. Even when i complained in written I still got the same answer. Please help me.

                        I own a tata sky set complete with dish and set top box and was one of the first to install it in gurgaon. My ID is [protected]. From last friday when the set top box stopped working I have wrung up the Mohali call centre at least once everyday and am assured of an answer that it would be rectified in 48h/24h/2h etc etc. Today finally a store i/c some Mr Rajat informed that rpair in the factory was slower than the set top boxes getting spoilt as also that the manufacturers are using set top boxes that have outlived their life and whether it is one visit in two days or two months a sum of Rs 350/- is charged. Coming from the house of TATA this is adeplorable state of affairs, Probably, " Kallu TV & All gaget reparing" would be able to do a job as to respond to the complaint once in seven days. I am writing this but I am not too sure whether anything is likely to change.

                          I have been using tatasky service since may 2009. Recently i shifted my house and raised a request on 20th Nov 2010 with tatasky customer care to install the dish on my new location. As my balance was in negative they asked me to recharge the account. I recharged my account and contacted them again. They told me that they would install the dish within 48 hours. When no one came to install the dish for 4 days, i contacted customer care again. They told me that it will be done within 24 hours. I am getting same reply for last three days but no one has come yet to install the dish. I think something is wrong with this company. The don't care about their customers anymore. Their service truly sucks now.

                            Dear Sir,

                            My Tata Sky set top box has not been working since the 8th of November, 2010. I filed a complaint on the same day - my number is 1-[protected].

                            Despite repeated calls, no engineer has visited our home yet to see the situation. Everytime I call them, I am told that the engineer will visit us the next day and it will be resolved. The last time this happened was on the 24th of November, after which the same assurance was given. However, nothing has happened as yet.

                            I am at my wits end and unsure of what to do next. Please do help me.

                              RE: - Dissatisfactory service during installation of Tata sky

                              Dear Sir,

                              I would like to inform you of my dissatisfaction with regards to the purchase of the Tata sky DTH product and the subsequent installation service.

                              On date, 15th November, 2010, I purchased a Tata sky DTH unit for Rs 1200/-, which include the recharge cost, from m/s Jeevan radio house (Add: - Main road, Taluka- Srirampur, district- Ahmednagar – 413709).

                              Unfortunately, both, the installation service performed and the behavior of the seller was disappointing and unexpected. I was told, rather rudely, to get my own ID no. for recharging the DTH monthly service, in spite of paying Rs 200/- upfront for the same. The unit was not functioning for almost 5 days after the purchase. I was also asked to switch on the television for the entire duration until the service was started. This resulted in my television being switched on for almost 30 hours over a period of 5 days. Calls went unanswered and repeated attempts to contact the dealer were futile.

                              Finally after 5 days of continuous attempts and influencing the dealer, I somehow managed to get the service started on the 19th of November 2010.

                              I’ve had a harrowing experience during those three days and this has seriously has cast a doubt in my mind about the brand value and promise of a product like Tata sky.

                              I look forward to your reply and a resolution to my problem, and will allow myself 10 days before seeking help from a consumer protection agency

                              I possess all the original documents including the bill of transaction, the installation copy and the warranty card.

                                We have all seen the new add were Amir Khan produly says "Why pay for when on holiday and sends msg of choosing channels package as per our choice,BUT we all need to know that this all to make the conusmer a fool,Once u take the optional package That will remain active for 90 days irrespective o[censored] wanting to cancell it in few days and money will be deducted as and when u recharge your account.Even when there is no service. THEY FORCE YOU TO SEE THE CHANNELS AND MAKE U PAY FOR THAT.
                                PLS before going for tata sky do not put money in the account .They are all hunting for balance in the account and fish out as and when the want.......BEWARE

                                  my tatasky settop box was not working frm 1st of nov i coplained locally bt noone came then i complained on mytata sky then on 11th of october a tatasky represantative came and checked he found that box is damaged and it has to be changed since my box is in warranty period he took it and said to return it tommorow from that day iam daily asking for my box and daily complaining onmytata sky bt nothing action has been taken place .yesterday i again called they said that ur settop box has came and tommorow it will install.today i again called then they r saying that u dont have balance first u recharge then i will come then i imidiately recharge the box .i said to him that i recharge he said that i am coming bt he didnt came .i am mentally very retard by this type of behaviour of tata sky .it is 15 days passed i didnt get my box.my name is bharat mani tripathi from padrauna kushinagar 274304.my phone no is [protected] and my tatasky subscriber i.d is [protected].it is on the name of bharat mani tripathi

                                  Tata Sky — Digicomp replacement

                                  Faulty digicomp unit of TATA SKY connection of my residence taken by the company representative has not been replaced in spite of repeated followup.

                                    i have written this complaint to u imforming that from my tatasky sound is not coming out .

                                    when i told this to my dealer he said"sir, i am sending a person to look whats

                                    the problem but he never .when i again told him look for fault he again replied that

                                    on the otherhand we have airtel dth service also and if we find that service has

                                    some problems, we wrote complaints and action is taken in 2hours .but u r not

                                      On Monday, 8 Nov 2010, I made a booking for TataSky+. The charges of Rs.5,999/- were deducted from my account on that date. I was informed that the delivery would take place within four working days.

                                      On Friday 12 Nov evening (around 6:45 pm) I telephoned to the TataSky helpline. Since four working days were over, I requested to register a "Delayed delivery" complaint. I was told that someone would contact me over telephone.

                                      Since there was no telephone contact, I made a Service Request (SR[protected] from "mytatasky" in this regard on Saturday, 13 Nov 2010. This SR is STILL open.

                                      On Monday 15 Nov (one week after the initial booking and payment) I again placed a call to the TataSky helpline at 9:50 am. The person who received the call passed the call to his team leader, who heard everything and told me that someone would contact me "within 24 hours". No one contacted so far.

                                      On Tuesday 16 Nov I sent an email stating all these details to "[protected]@tatasky.com", and got the auto response docket no. 1-[protected] of 16.11.2010. So far, no action has been taken, either by way of email or telephone call.

                                      On Thursday 18 Nov, I again placed a call to the TataSky helpline. The person who received the call told me that delivery would take place "within 24 hours".

                                      On Friday, 19 Nov I lodged my complaint with the Nodal Officer as per the TataSky grievance procedure and got an Auto-Response registering my complaint as 1-[protected]. Till date, there has been no response or action in this matter.

                                      What is the best way to proceed further in this matter?

                                        I have oredred tata sky on 20th nov evening through online . my package is Supreme Annual. INR 2945 has been already deducted the same moment . Today is 24th Nov . I made numerous calls to the pathetically bad call center. Apart from no resolution and bad service , they giving me a new complecated information everytime. escalations to supervisor and managers didnt help . I need to speak to the highest escalation department with a hope to get the issue resolved.

                                        Kindly provide me with the email ID or telephone number of the highest escalation department.

                                        I am also going through exactly same stuff. I am struck due to paid out annual package and the trip is supposed to be a paid out trip.
                                        Very very bad and frustating. It would be helpful if some one provide highest escalation email address.
